Popular Twitter user, identified as Dr Olufunmilayo has done some background check on Big Brother Naija lockdown housemate, Laycon, and revealed that the housemate’s late dad was a policeman who died painfully.
According to Olufunmilayo, the musician did not use the story of his father’s death to gain vote.
However, the BBNaija Lockdown housemate, often refrains from talking about his dad but the times he talks about him, he mentioned the great impact he has had on his life.
Meanwhile, a few days ago, old tweets of him mourning the death of his father surfaced again on Twitter and it got heartwarming comments from a lot of people, thereby giving people more reasons to support him.
More details have now emerged about the father of the musician-housemate as Dr Olufunmilayo claimed that he was a Nigerian policeman before he died.
Although Laycon did not reveal what led to his father’s death, Olufunmilayo claimed that the father of the Lockdown housemate died in a painful way.
Dr Olufunmilayo made this revelation to counter the popular claims that Laycon is using pity to gain votes from viewers.

Evicted housemate, Tochi, has reacted to reports making the rounds on social media that he called Erica a gold digger.
Tochi on his official Twitter page on Tuesday, explained that his words were misinterpreted.
According to him, his statement was that Erica is an Igbo lady and ambitious but not a gold digger.
He further apologized to those who heard or misinterpreted his words wrongly.

An alleged final year student of Covenant University, Ibukunoluwa Aina, was forced to shave his beard after a lecturer at the University rejected his look to his online project defence and kicked him off.
In a video that’s been serving rounds on social media, Aina and other students are seen before a panel to defend the project they carried out as part of the requirements for them to graduate from the institution.
When Aina appeared for his defense however, one of his lecturers stopped him from the process because his full beard was unacceptable. The lecturer then asked him to go back and shave the beards and then return for another defence.
The lecturer is heard saying,
“Look at the way you’re appearing and you’re saying that you have presented…Aina you have not presented, you have to go and barb, change your appearance”.
His friends shared a video of his supervisor lambasting him over his look during the online project defence.
Taking to Twitter, Aina has revealed that he has taken to instruction by shaving off his beards, adding that his project defense was a success.
Billionaire and Microsoft CEO and founder, Bill Gates has lost his father, William Gates Sr, who died at the age of 94.
The elder Gates died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, his son said as he expressed how lucky he and his sisters Kristianna and Libby are to have been raised by their father.
According to Bill Gates, his dad made him give a $100 million contribution to research for Alzheimer’s disease, after he revealed his father suffered from it in 2018.
He also revealed his dad’s support inspired him to leave Harvard University to co-found a company with Paul Allen in 1975.
Late Tuesday night, Bill penned an emotional tribute to his late father on his personal blog, saying: “I will miss my dad every day.”
“We will miss him more than we can express right now. We are feeling grief but also gratitude.”
“My dad’s passing was not unexpected he was 94 years old and his health had been declining, so we have all had a long time to reflect on just how lucky we are to have had this amazing man in our lives for so many years.
“My dad’s wisdom, generosity, empathy, and humility had a huge influence on people around the world.”

Akin to what disqualified housemate, Erica’s fans did, Prince’s fans joined hands to set up a GoFundMe account to contribute towards the actualization of his dream of owning a salon.
Fans of Erica have so far donated over $35,000 into the GoFundMe they set up for her.
However, Prince has said it is not the time for Nigerians to part away with their hard-earned money as the Coronavirus pandemic has had an adverse effect on the finances of a lot of people.

Kiddwaya had talked about his friendship with DJ Cuppy a couple of times during his time in the Big Brother house.
The billionaire son has been doing his media rounds since his eviction from the reality TV show, during one of the interviews, he was asked if he would have an intimate relationship with Cuppy, but Kidd replied that she is like his best friend and would not demand a relationship from her.

According to him he left social media to concentrate on himself, adding that many activities that he involved himself in had begun to take a toll on him, so, he decided to concentrate on himself.

A motorcyclist “okada man” in the Oghara area of Delta state returned a bag containing N700,000 belonging to a woman he’d carried to the market.
According to a Facebook user who narrated the incident, the okada man noticed that the woman dropped something when she was entering the market.

Nigerian Internet sensation Ismaila Mustapha, popularly known as Mompha, has described his return to his country, Nigeria as a disaster.
In a post he shared via his Instagram, Mompha who has an ongoing court case centered on money laundering expressed hope of all his challenges becoming a thing of the past.
Sharing a picture of himself, he wrote,
“2 years ago when you don’t knw coming to ur country will be a disaster. Surely it will all come to past”
Recall that, last month, Mompha was released by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), two weeks after he was re-arrested by the anti-graft agency in Lagos.

Mompha was on Friday, August 14th, rearrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged money laundering, when he went to the EFCC office in Ikoyi, Lagos.
He was at the office to reclaim his five wristwatches, one Apple Air pod, one iPhone 8 mobile phones and one pair of sunglasses seized from him when he was initially arrested in october 2019, by the anti-graft agency.
Following an application by his lawyer, Mr Gboyega Oyewole (SAN), Justice Mohammed Liman on July 24 ordered the EFCC to release the items to Mompha.
The judge ruled since the items were not listed as exhibits in the money laundering charges filed against Mompha, the EFCC had no justification to continue to hold onto them.
Ex-Big Brother Naija housemate, Kiddwaya has revealed that he is “reviewing” his relationship with some housemates now that he is outside the Big Brother house.
The evicted housemate in an interview stated that he is seeing his relationship with some people in different light due to what they said about him as captured in videos he has seen now he is outside the house.
He however expressed that he was a bit disappointed with Laycon after he got out of the house and saw clips of Laycon talking against him.
The interviewer asked him if it was the clip about Laycon saying Kiddwaya will take advantage of Erica because she’s drunk, Kiddwaya said he hasn’t seen that one yet, but he has other clips.

Nigerian gay rights activist, Bisi Alimi has given a piece of advise to both straight men and gay men, ensuring to balance the scale.
He took to his twitter account to air his advise. According to him, gay men have the right to express their romantic feelings to any man of their choice, unless the man informs them that he is straight.

The singer who recently released “Fem” that’s been topping charts for days now, shared an adorable photo with his son Ifeanyi Adeleke on Instagram, and an Instagram user trolled the child.
Davido captioned the photo; “Junior” and the troll replied saying; “Junior frog voice“.

A South African lady has taken to her Twitter page to narrate how her estranged husband doused herself and their child in fuel and set them ablaze so as to kill them.

Operatives of the the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC), Ilorin zonal office, have arrested two lecturers of the Kwara State College of Health Technology, Offa: Abdulahi Opashola and Adebisi Ademola and twenty-eight others over their alleged involvement in offences bordering on internet fraud.
The twenty-eight other suspects are: Kingsley Essien; Tobiloba Adenuga; Tope Ayodele; Rasheed Mujib; Oladipo Opeyemi; Saadu Muktar; Oladejo Hammed; Hammed Tope; Ameachi Umenyi, Salauden Adam and Afolabi Gafar.
Others are: Oladimeji Timi; Remilekun Adeolu; Audu John; David Momodu; Abdulkareem Samad; Adebiyi Sodiq; Dawodu Olusoji; Yusuf Amoo; Kehinde Olarenwaju; Philip Mike, Ademola Adebukola and Adeniyi Olamilekan.
The rest are : Adeyemi Adedeji; Ajayi Teslem; Olawale Oladayo, Olasunkanmi Olawale and Adeleke Damilola.
They were arrested at different locations within Kwara State, following intelligence gathered by operatives of the Commission over their alleged involvement in the offence.
Meanwhile, efforts are ongoing to arrest an herbalist who is also linked with the alleged offence.
Items recovered from them include: cars, phones, laptops among others.
Big Brother Naija Lockdown Housemate, Nengi has queried Ozo for keeping his distance from her since the Sunday live eviction show.
After the nomination process last night, an infuriated Nengi approached Ozo and quizzed him about his unusual distance and perceived attitude towards her.
Recall that Ozo had professed his love to Nengi and his intentions to spend the rest of his life with her, which she rejected on several occasions. However, Ozo was still persistent in his pursuit for her which earned him a lot of backlash from social media users for being a simp.

Popular Nigerian disc jockey and record producer, DJ Neptune has offered to be the DJ to play all the good music for free at Neo and Vee’s wedding, if the duo eventually decides to walk down the aisle.
He made this revelation following the couple’s entry into the grand finale of Big Brother Naija Season 5. Recall that, Neo and Vee luckily escaped nomination for eviction this week after nomination on Monday night.
In a surprise process for nominating housemates for possible eviction, the housemates were divided into two teams: white and black.
The black team nominated Laycon and TrikyTee for eviction, while white team nominated Dorathy and Ozo for possible eviction on Sunday.
Biggie thereafter named Ozo, Dorathy, Laycon and Tricky Tee as four housemates up for possible eviction ahead of Sunday’s final live eviction.
Reacting to the news, DJ Neptune took to Twitter to hail the couple in a tweet.
He wrote,
“And that’s how Vee and Neo made it to top 5 #BBNaijalockdown This relationship must lead to the alter and I shall DJ the wedding #bbnaija“
