On September 16, 2020, Elliot’s second set of twins, Donald and Dawna, clocked nine and their father made sure to mark the occasion on social media.

2Baba Signs Major Deal With Sony/ATV Music Publishing

Veteran singer, Innocent Idibia otherwise known as 2Baba has made another major move after his Hypertek Digital record label signed a deal with Sony/ATV, a global leader in music publishing owned by Sony Entertainment.

The ‘African Queen’ crooner, who was formerly known by the stage name, 2Face Idibia, signed the music publishing deal, which will give the record label the right to manage its songs and ensure it receives all the royalties from the back end as it is entitled to.

Sony/ATV controls a huge and diverse catalog of works by legendary musicians such as Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, and many more.

This new deal places 2baba’s record label in a prime spot to optimally exploit its impressive catalog which includes works of himself, Sir Victor Uwaifo, Dammy Krane, Rocksteady and others signed to the label.

Mr Eazi’s girlfriend, Temi Otedola has just received a brand new customized Ferrari from her billionaire father, Femi Otedola.

The billionaire father, bought one Ferrari each for all his three daughters and this has caused some sort of a buzz on social media.

Reacting to the news, a social media user have taken to Twitter to urge Mr Eazi not to think about using the new car in any of his music videos.

He tweeted,

“Wetin go pain me pass na if I see Temi Ferrari for any new Mr Eazi music video”.

In response, the musician stated that he has even booked it in advance.

The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has unveiled ‘Nigeria At 60’ anniversary logo ahead of the nation’s 60th Independence Day celebration on October 1st.

The Nigeria at 60 Anniversary Logo was unveiled before the commencement of the virtual Federal Executive Council (FEC) Meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday, 16th September 2020 by President Buhari.

The unveiling was witnessed by several Federal ministers and the vice president, Yemi Osinbajo.

Some of the ministers at the meeting includes the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola; Minister of Information and Culture, Rauf Aregbesola; Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, among others.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, the President said,

Today we stand on the threshold of history as we formally begin a series of activities commemorating Nigeria’s Diamond Anniversary.

The task history has saddled me with today is to proclaim a theme that will keep us united, help us forge ahead and unveil a logo that will form the critical pillars, which are eleven months modest commemoration activities will rest on.

Celebrating 60 years of independence really calls for pomp and pageantry, but the global COVID-19 Pandemic, which has forced all nations in the world to think and act differently, has also forced on us the imperative of a low-keyed celebration.

Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, has thrown shades at recently evicted BBNaija lockdwon housemate, Kiddwaya. Over his recent interviews.

According to her she thought that Kiddwaya was an humble billionaire, adding that his true colours are now coming out.

This is coming after Kidd used a condescending tone to talk about some housemates in his interviews. In an interview with Ebuka, he said on a normal day, that Nengi won’t be in the same room with him.

In another interview, the billionaire son stated clearly that no housemate was up to his level.

Kiddwaya, while referring to himself as the man who Ozo wants to be, said he isn’t scared of airing out his opinion about the housemates because none of them matches his level.

Reacting to Kidd’s statement Nkechi took to her Instagram page to air her opinion.

However, Kiddwaya has made several revelations since his eviction from the Big Brother house.

He recently stated that on a normal day, himself and fellow contestant, Nengi wouldn’t cross paths.

In an interview with the show’s host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu outside the house, he talked about his bottle incidence with Nengi which got him angry.

According to Kiddwaya, if not for the reality show ,he would not be in the same room as Nengi. He also that they wont cross paths.

In his words,

“With the whole bottle stuff, she’s very playful and I like that about her sometimes, but then it got to a point where I felt like this girl is taking a piss now. Like how can you be hitting me with a bottle, because on a normal day,

Nigerian rapper, CDQ has made a very interesting statement about late Dagrin’s impact on the Nigerian Hip Hop music scene.

CDQ made this known while speaking on the first episode of Henessy’s Hip-Hop Docu-series, “The Conversation”.

The rapper alongside Vector, M.I Abaga, DJ Jimmy Jatt gave their respective opinions on the evolution of Hip Hop in Nigeria.

According to him, since Dagrin’s untimely death, Hip Hop suffered a major decline even till now. He further buttressed his point saying the rapper was the only artiste in his own opinion that stayed true to the genre.

He died on April 22, 2010. He was just 22 years old, but his unique style of rap music was already very popular.

In the early hours of April 14, 2010 Dagrin had been involved in a lone accident, colliding with a stationary articulated vehicle in front of Alakara Police Station, off Agege Motor Road, Mushin, Lagos.

Before he gave up the ghost, he had first been treated at Tai Solarin Hospital, Mushin but was later transferred to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi Araba, where doctors declared him dead after efforts to save his life failed.

Though he lived a short life, his style of indigenous rap is still influencing the Nigerian music scene. Artistes like Olamide, lil Kesh, Phyno, Reminisce and many others are some of the best examples of Dagrin’s influence on the Nigerian music scene.

Terry Waya, the billionaire father of recently evicted BBNaija housemate, Kiddwaya, has claimed that he played a pivotal role in the development of Banana Island; a luxury artificial Island in Lagos, Nigeria commercial capital.

In an interview with BBC NEWS Pidgin, Mr. Waya revealed that he was not born into wealth but however luck shone on him during the Military regime of Ibrahim Babandiga, when he (Mr. Waya) was given the contract to develop the luxury Banana Island.

According to Terry Waya, he was given the job to develop the area before he handed over the contract to Chagoury to do the job.

Terry hails from Benue state but moved to Kaduna where he got married and brought up his kids before sending them off to a boarding school in London.

In his words,

“That Banana Island was given to me. Not many people know that I discovered that Banana Island. I brought Chagoury to do the project. Nobody knew that there was a Banana Island there.

“One day, I visited one of my closest friends called General Adisa who was the minister of works at the time. I, then, saw a big poster behind him with the words Banana Island. I asked him about it and he said that they were looking for a partner to do the work and then sell the land together.

“He said that the government will have their share and the partners too will have their share. I told him I was interested and he said no problem. And that was how Banana Island came to live”. He added.

BBNaija: Kiddwaya reveals what happened when he shared the toilet with Nengi

Evicted BBNaija housemate, Kiddwaya, has finally opened up on what happened between him and fellow housemate, Nengi in the toilet.

Recall, Nengi and Kiddwaya were caught by Ozo and Neo after both of them used the bathroom immediately after a Saturday night party on August 30.

Ozo who seemed jealous about the incident confronted Nengi to know what she and Kiddwaya were doing in the toilet when he opened the door.

Nengi, however, stated that Kiddwaya was helping her to zip her dress.

She said,

“Kiddwaya was just helping to zip up my cloth. I can’t zip it alone, so I told him to help me.

“If I was doing something bad I won’t be calm when you and Neo saw us.

Ozo, however, did not seem convinced by her explanation.

Kiddwaya speaking on the issue on Tuesday during his media tours said it was a coincidence meeting Nengi in the toilet.

Kiddwaya who maintained that Ozo was threatened by him said that Nengi only asked him to help zip her dress.

“It was just a coincidence meeting Nengi there, and she asked me to help her zip her cloth; that was it.”

According to Olufunmilayo, the musician did not use the story of his father’s death to gain vote.

However, the BBNaija Lockdown housemate, often refrains from talking about his dad but the times he talks about him, he mentioned the great impact he has had on his life.

Final year student forced to shave his beard after a lecturer kicked him off the online project defence

An alleged final year student of Covenant University, Ibukunoluwa Aina, was forced to shave his beard after a lecturer at the University rejected his look to his online project defence and kicked him off.

In a video that’s been serving rounds on social media, Aina and other students are seen before a panel to defend the project they carried out as part of the requirements for them to graduate from the institution.

When Aina appeared for his defense however, one of his lecturers stopped him from the process because his full beard was unacceptable. The lecturer then asked him to go back and shave the beards and then return for another defence.

The lecturer is heard saying,

“Look at the way you’re appearing and you’re saying that you have presented…Aina you have not presented, you have to go and barb, change your appearance”.

His friends shared a video of his supervisor lambasting him over his look during the online project defence.

Taking to Twitter, Aina has revealed that he has taken to instruction by shaving off his beards, adding that his project defense was a success.

Billionaire and Microsoft CEO and founder, Bill Gates has lost his father, William Gates Sr, who died at the age of 94.

The elder Gates died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, his son said as he expressed how lucky he and his sisters Kristianna and Libby are to have been raised by their father.

According to Bill Gates, his dad made him give a $100 million contribution to research for Alzheimer’s disease, after he revealed his father suffered from it in 2018.

He also revealed his dad’s support inspired him to leave Harvard University to co-found a company with Paul Allen in 1975.

Late Tuesday night, Bill penned an emotional tribute to his late father on his personal blog, saying: “I will miss my dad every day.”

“We will miss him more than we can express right now. We are feeling grief but also gratitude.”

“My dad’s passing was not unexpected he was 94 years old and his health had been declining, so we have all had a long time to reflect on just how lucky we are to have had this amazing man in our lives for so many years.

“My dad’s wisdom, generosity, empathy, and humility had a huge influence on people around the world.”

“I knew their love and support were unconditional, even when we clashed in my teenage years. I am sure that’s one of the reasons why I felt comfortable taking some big risks when I was young, like leaving college to start Microsoft with Paul Allen,” he said.

“We worked together at the foundation not so much as father and son but as friends and colleagues,” he said.

“When we started doing so in a big way at the foundation, we had no idea how much fun we would have. We only grew closer during more than two decades of working together.”

“When I am at my best, I know it is because of what I learned from my dad about respecting women, honoring individuality, and guiding children’s choices with love and respect,” Gates said.

“The experience of being the son of Bill Gates was incredible. People used to ask my dad if he was the real Bill Gates. The truth is, he was everything I try to be.” the Microsoft CEO wrote on Gates Notes.

Evicted BBNaija: Lockdown housemate, Prince Enwerem, has rejected a GoFundMe account that was set up for him by his fans following his eviction.

Akin to what disqualified housemate, Erica’s fans did, Prince’s fans joined hands to set up a GoFundMe account to contribute towards the actualization of his dream of owning a salon.

Fans of Erica have so far donated over $35,000 into the GoFundMe they set up for her.

However, Prince has said it is not the time for Nigerians to part away with their hard-earned money as the Coronavirus pandemic has had an adverse effect on the finances of a lot of people.

His post reads

My dear Royal Army, I’m still overwhelmed and trying to soak in all the love you have been showing me. I’m sincerely speechless because I never expected the love I’m receiving.

This GoFundMe account was brought to my attention last night and I almost teared up by the mere thought and intentions behind it.

We are experiencing difficult times now and people still want to do this for me?

Davido finally reveals why he took a break from social media

Nigerian singer, David Adeleke popularly known by his stage name, Davido has shared the real reason why he took a break from social media.

According to him he left social media to concentrate on himself, adding that many activities that he involved himself in had begun to take a toll on him, so, he decided to concentrate on himself.

In a chat with Beat FM, Davido revealed that he didn’t know he was going to stay away for that long but it happened.

In his words,

“There was a lot going on. I was on tour. I was on the road for nine years and it took a toll on me for like a month and I thought that I need a break. Even I was telling myself that it was just going to take a week. But I thought that if I don’t slow down now, it may end in me breaking down because I’m a very strong person. If I break down, imagine how many people that I’m taking care of will break down as well. So I decided to move away and regroup.

“And it helped. I can’t tell you how happy I have become. I won’t say I’m a different person but I used to wake up at 9 pm because I’d record all night. I can’t sleep because I had things on my mind and then Coronavirus.

“I have never been at home for that long before. And I thought that if I have to do this, I have to get off social media. So, just stepping back really helped me a lot,” he added.

Nigerian billionaire businesswoman cum pastor, Folorunso Alakija was pictured anointing members of her church during an anointing service held on Tuesday, September 15.

The service took place at her founded church, Rose of Sharon Glorious Ministry International in Surulere, Lagos.

The church members knelt down to receive the anointing oil and prayers from the billionaire woman. They had their nose masks on, following the NCDC guideline.

Folorunso Alakija, one of the richest African women in the world founded the interdenominational church in 2004.

Ex-Big Brother Naija housemate, Kiddwaya, has cleared the air on the identity of lady who many claimed to be his girlfriend after a video of her hugging him, after his eviction went viral

Social media went up in flames after a lady identified as “Queen Lovette” shared a video of herself and Kiddwaya on her Instagram page, hugging and being cozy with the billionaire housemate.

Sharing a video of herself and kiddwaya together, she captioned it, “I’m so freaking proud of you Fam @Kiddwaya well done, you are my winner still, now it’s FV<# S#!T UP”.

Many social media users concluded that the lady is Kiddwaya’s girlfriend.

However, Kiddwaya in an interview on Naija FM cleared the air and explained that the rumors on social media about the lady and himself were false, adding that the lady is an old friend and they have been close ever since they were kids.

Recall that, the billionaire son was evicted from the Big Brother Naija house on Sunday, September 13th, leaving only 7 housemates vying for the 85 million Naira grand prize.
