Olori Prophetess Naomi has reacted to rumors that her marriage to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has crashed.

In a statement she made via her Instagram, the Olori shut down those rumors and revealed her marriage was still rock solid and going well.

There have been strange rumours and unfounded news making rounds on social media in recent times.I want all believers of good news to know that, it is all lies and a picture of how the peddlers of the evil news would have loved our love story to turn out. I would have loved to maintain silence, however, due to concerns being expressed by well meaning people something has to be said. Now, the gospel truth is that I have been busy with ministry off the social media space and you’d all agree with me that with the ongoing pandemic which suddenly sprung up on all of us, only means more work needs to be done. I can’t sit still (as nobody privileged enough should) and this isn’t a time for social media presence but a time that calls for solemnity. Hence my break from what people now call normal. Finally, as duty will have me do, I have been in and out of the palace doing Gods bidding.With all being said, I am compelled to ask the following questions :
Why can’t people verify that which is the truth ?
Why do people believe more in falsehood and negativity?
Well, the bible has something to say about them in Psalm 2:1-12. Now i say to you all, please disregard and jettison every fake and malicious news about me and my husband (Ooni Adeyeye Babatunde Enitan Ogunwusi) for ours is a love no earthly force is strong enough to break,we are very fine and healthy

Burna Boy gives the reason why he feels people hate him

Nigerian Afro-fusion singer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, better known by his stage name, Burna Boy has given the reason why he feels people hate him.

The 29-year-old self-acclaimed African Giant says surely, people love him, but they hate him because he tells them what they need to hear and not what they want to hear.

He wrote on Snapchat,

“They Love me but they hate me, because I tell them what they need to hear and now what they want to hear”

Sometime in January, South African rapper, AKA revealed that he never hated Burna Boy — the two entertainers had an online back and forth as they had varying opinions on the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa.

Their disagreement was one of 2019’s major celebrity rifts with AKA demanding an apology from Burna Boy as he asked the latter to prove that he is indeed the African Giant.

However, AKA came forward to say he does not hate Burna Boy.

The singer took to her Twitter page recently to state that women are so strong and sweat blood for a spot at a table that disrespects their sweat.

She went on to add that women also end up convincing people that they deserve a spot at the table.

The Oba of Benin, Omo N’Oba Ewuare II has welcomed a baby boy into the royal house.

The royal father welcomed his prince three years after his installation on the revered throne.

The ruler of Benin made the announcement on Monday, according to a report by Nigerian Tribune.

“By the grace of the almighty God and the benevolence of our ancestors, the Benin Traditional Council on behalf of His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, Oba of Benin and the Royal Palace of Benin Kingdom, joyfully wish to announce that Her Royal Highness, Queen Iyayota of Benin Kingdom has been delivered of a bouncing baby boy.

“The prince and his mother are in execellent health and good spirits,” the traditional ruler said.

“It is our prayers that the prince will grow in good health and that he shall be blessed immeasurably by the Almighty God and, the great royal ancestors with the wisdom, kindness and generosity, knowledge and courage of his illustrious father, His Royal Majesty, Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II,” he prayed.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s TV channel, ‘Loveworld News’ sanctioned by UK agency over Coronavirus and 5G conspiracy claims

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s TV Channel, Loveworld News has been sanctioned by UK broadcast regulator, Ofcom.

The sanction was imposed following the broadcast of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s unsubstantiated claim of 5G being the cause of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Last month, the founder of Loveworld Ministries had made an outrageous claim that the outbreak of Coronavirus is part of the plan for installation of 5G technology and creation of a one world order.shes.

In addition, the infamous Hydroxychloroquine was also presented on the Christian network as a “cure” for Covid-19, without acknowledging that its effectiveness and safety as a treatment was clinically unproven, or making clear that it has potentially serious side effects.

In a statement released on Monday May 18, Ofcom stressed that the unsubstantiated claims in both these programmes were not sufficiently put into context, they risked undermining viewers’ trust in official health advice, with potentially serious consequences for public health.

The statement read in parts;

“Loveworld News featured potentially harmful statements about the coronavirus pandemic and adequate protection was not provided to viewers. Additionally, statements were not presented with due accuracy.”

Ofcom said Loveworld which is broadcast on satellite in the UK, would be required to show a statement of the watchdog’s findings. The UK agency further stated that it is considering imposing further sanctions.

This is coming after London Live and radio station Uckfield FM were sanctioned for airing similar false claims without it being sufficiently challenged.

Oyo Islamic cleric, Taofeeq Akeugbagold shares photos of his worker who allegedly masterminded the kidnap of his twins

Renowned Oyo Islamic cleric, Taofeeq Akeugbagold has outed one of his workers who he alleges is the mastermind of the kidnap of his twins.

The cleric took to his Facebook page to share of his worker —identified as Opeyemi ibraheem Agbenuso Odo— who according to Akeugbagold, manages the social media aspect of his Ramadan lecture and was picked to attend the 2020 Hajj.

Akeugbagold went on to reveal that he promised to finance the suspect’s wedding in December, till he found out that he had a hand in the abduction of his twins who have been rescued by the police.

He wrote,

Alhamdulillah ! Allah has bear me witness that i worship Him only.This is Opeyemi ibraheem Agbenuso odo a casual worker under me who is handling social media aspects of my Ramadan lecture.

Actress and former Soundcity presenter, Juliet Mgborukwe has unveiled her new lover months after she announced divorcing her ex-husband, Chima Ojokwu.

Juleit, had in December of 2019, announced via her IG page, that even though their marriage had been the most stressful one year, she was happy to be finally done with the divorce proceeding.

62-year-old woman dies in stampede while struggling for COVID-19 palliative in Rivers

A woman has been stamped to death during a struggle for COVOD-19 palliative shared by the Rivers state government in Elele Kingdom, Ikwerre Local Government Area of the State, Vanguard reports.

The deceased, a 62-year-old woman identified as Mrs. Florence Onuobodo arrived at the venue with the hope to receive the palliatives. However, due to impatience on the part of some other citizens, a stampede ensued and she was trampled upon by people who were also struggling to collect the food items

A counsellor representing Elele, ward 4, at Ikwerre LGA Legislative Assembly, Emmanuel Amadi, while confirming the report, said it was unfortunate that the deceased died at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital where she was rushed to.

A stunning Elizabeth, a Ghanaian damsel who now serves in both capacities, day and night, in an interview, revealed that during her childhood, she had the hopes of becoming a nurse, lawyer as well as a fashion designer.

Elizabeth shared that she never thought her dreams would eventually become reality because of her humble beginnings and the hardship she faced during those times.

She was, however, quick to state that her training at the Mfantsiman Girls helped shape her entire being greatly.

Elizabeth shared,

“I went to the Nursing and Midwifery Training College at Korle Bu where I graduated with a Diploma in Nursing in 2008 and started working as a nurse in 2010 after national service”.

From there, Owusua noted she continued to Central University College to top up for a Bsc Degree in Nursing alongside work and graduated in 2013.

In 2014, Owusua applied to Gimpa Law Faculty for an LLB and got admitted which she did along with working night shifts at the hospital and gained admission to the law school in 2017 after graduating from Gimpa and finally was called to the Ghana Bar in October 2019.

COVID-19 is a scam in Nigeria, they did not plan the drama before they went on stage – Discharged patient claims

A Nigerian lady who is among the recovered COVID-19 patients recently discharged in Delta State, has claimed that the virus is a scam in Nigeria.

The lady was reportedly diagnosed positive for COVID-19 on April 17.

She was then taken to the COVID-19 Isolation/Treatment Center in Warri where she was kept for 17 days. She was discharged after reportedly testing negative for the virus.

Following her ‘recovery and discharge’, the patient spoke to journalists and insisted that she never received or saw her COVID-19 test results. She claimed that COVID-19 is a scam in Nigeria because her family members who were in close contact with her were not infected.

In her words ;

“It was an audio result that I got. They called me to tell me that I was positive but did not give me any result. Before I was taken there I already said the virus is not in this country. We cannot curb its spread if it is in this nation. The disease may be in the western world, but not here. Keeping me there (Isolation Center) was against my wish.

“The markets are crowded; if it is here more people would have been affected. The banks are also crowded. It’s a scam in this nation. I am a witness. I have been there. I may have stayed at the isolation centre, but I do not see myself as a COVID-19 patient.

“My friend who was with me before I was admitted is living his normal life. He is fine. His test was negative. How about my family at home? When I was sick my mother was the one bathing me and even slept in the same room with me many times. She is almost 70 and still living her normal life. Imagine the close contact she had with me.

“They did not plan the drama before they went on stage. They would have quarantined my family. The reports that the doctors that attended to me were all tested positive for COVID-19 are all fabricated stories.”

Kidnappers of Islamic cleric, Akeugbagold’s twins paraded (Video)

A total of seven suspects who are linked to the kidnap of popular Oyo Islamic cleric, Sheik Taofeeq Akeugbagold’s twins have following their arrest, been paraded by the Oyo state’s police command.

A number of the apprehended suspects were discovered to be the Islamic cleric’s workers who used their relationship with him to thwart the initial effort of rescuing the twins.

The police command reportedly had to change their strategy to rescue the twins after they found out that information about the mission was being sabotaged.

Among those nabbed by the police include a security guard who gave out his gun to one of the gang members, a woman who took care of the twins and the man who monitored the Islamic cleric before his twins were kidnapped.

One of the suspects who identified himself as Tope and claimed to be innocent, said he never knew about the kidnap plan until one of the suspects —he identified as Bashiru— came back from Sokoto.

Tope claimed he was looking for a way to resolve the kidnap incident and also get the Islamic cleric to forgive the suspects, before being arrested.

Big Brother Naija housemates, Omashola and Tacha held an Instagram live session recently and in course of the session, Tacha made her colleague, Seyi, inanimate by referring to him with the “that” pronoun.

The live Instagram session allowed for questions from the viewers and when one of them asked what they both think about their former housemate, model and actor, Seyi Awolowo, Tacha kept asking what he is.

It’s no news that Tacha and Seyi have not necessarily been the best of pals during and after their time in the Big Brother house. Even while at the house, Tacha once took a swipe at Seyi as she called him an underachiever.

While we’ve seen other housemates reconcile their differences after leaving the Big Brother house, it still feels like the controversial socialite holds a big grudge with Seyi, who is not the only one she has an issue with though.

Nigerian music icon, Wizkid’s ex-girlfriend, actress, Sophie Rammal-Alakija’s marriage has reportedly crashed and this did not happen recently but sometime last year.

However, it’s some actions taken by the husband and wife on their social media pages that led to the investigation of their marriage by an Instagram blog who ascertains that Sophie —a mother of two— left the marriage sometime last year.

A quick check at her Instagram page shows that she’s deleted all her photos with her husband and family. Sophie who, according to the blog, has neglected her two kids, is now currently living the “baby girl life”.

The report by the blog says the actress is enjoying her new lifestyle and has turned down all settlement arranged by the family, and is still using the name ‘Alakija’ because it rings a bell, but has removed the name on her Twitter bio.

Senior pastor of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomi has claimed that there is no Coronavirus in Nigeria while stating that that the virus is just a scheme for leaders to steal.

The clergyman in one of his messages, said that malaria kills more people and yet our border was not closed because of malaria.

He referenced DAAR Communications founder, Raymond Dokpesi who said he was given Malaria drugs when he was being treated for COVID-19 in an isolation centre.

Speaking from a pulpit, he said,

“I told the people, what is Coronavirus? Coronavirus is only a virus that is Corona.”

He added: “People are making noise about Coronavirus. To me, it’s rubbish. Malaria, did we make noise about malaria?

“Malaria kills more people in Nigeria than Coronavirus. Everyday people die of malaria. So what are we talking about Coronavirus, closing border up and down for what?

“Nigeria does not even have it. I don’t think Nigeria has it.

“Because, you’ve heard Dokpesi, he said that they say he had it, it’s malaria tablet they gave him. So, if it’s Coronavirus, why will they give him malaria tablet?

“Nigeria, they’re using it to eat money, eat money. Governors eat money, corporations eat money, they tell lies, they’ll take money from federal aid. Government, they’ll take money from aid…”

He also claimed that the Nigerian government is intentionally exaggerating the number of people who have the disease.

“In Nigeria, the people who have it, I don’t think they are up to the number they’re calling. The number they’re calling, I don’t think it’s the number. When one person has high temperature, fever, they’ll say ‘it’s Corona, quarantine him’.”

Oluwafunmilola Adisa, the 22-year-old lady who drowned her one-year-old daughter, Oluwanifemi, has given reasons for her action.

Adisa, who lived with her older sister in Gowon estate in Lagos, reported herself to the police on May 11 after she drowned her own child.

In a video interview with Punch, Adisa gave a vivid description of how she drowned the little girl.

She also gave reasons for her action. She said she was ashamed of being a single mother. She also said being a single mother affected her education. She added that the fact that the father of her child played no role in her life didn’t help matters.

“You are doing well” – Ondo state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu tells Teni as she reps the state

Ondo state Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu lauded talented Nigerian songstress, Teniola Apata, popularly referred to as Teni, after she took to social media to rep the Western Nigerian state.

Teni had taken to her Twitter page to declare that hailing from Ondo state is a thing of pride which she can’t explain — the governor of the state then quoted her tweet with his official Twitter account saying she’s doing well.

“Being from Ondo is a pride thing! I can’t explain” Teni tweeted.

“You are doing well…” Governor Rotimi replied.

The sensational singer, sometime in April this year, took to her twitter page to reveal that she has an emotional crush on renowned music entrepreneur, Don Jazzy.

Teni, who is also known for her playful personality has made it a habit to tease her followers with her remarks on social media.

She tweeted at the time,

I have an emotional crush on Don jazzy!

A tweet that of course, sparked reactions from her fans with a lot of them fantasizing the possibilities of the pair being an item since they’re both single.

Shock as residents uncover fetish objects inside a church in Anambra state (Video)

A rather shocking video that’s made its way into the web, shows the surprising moment some residents uncovered fetish objects inside a church located in the Agulu area of Anambra state.

Reports surrounding the video suggest that the church which the objects were uncovered is a Sabbath church which has a woman as leader of the supposed “place of worship”.

Locals around the area gathered in horror as idols were seen lying all over the floor with people’s photos, baptismal cards and ID cards. International passports were also seen at the scene.

The individual who recorded the video claims that the photos are that of people who have actually been killed.

The person recording the moment claims that the mirror found in the church was being used to invoke peoples spirit.

The person also warned people about visiting prayer houses in search of miracles without knowing the source of their power. As of this moment, the said leader of the church is said to be on the run.

‘Scarface’ actor, Geno Silva dead at 72

Geno Silva, the actor best remembered for playing Tony Montana’s killer in ‘Scarface’ is dead at the age of 72.

The actor died in his home at Los Angeles from complications resulting from frontotemporal degeneration, a form of dementia.

Born on January 20, 1948, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Silva was also a veteran on stage. In 1994, he appeared with Philip Seymour Hoffman and John Ortiz in The Merchant of Venice, a Peter Sellars’ production that played Chicago, London, Paris and Hamburg, Germany; in 1999, he and Ortiz worked off-Broadway in Sueño, written by future Oscar nominee Jose Rivera (The Motorcycle Diaries).

During his four-decade career, Silva featured in Luis Valdez’s Zoot Suit (1981), he was in the 1979 Broadway production opposite Edward James Olmos — Robert Towne’s Tequila Sunrise (1988); Steven Spielberg’s Amistad and The Lost World: Jurassic Park, both released in 1997; David Lynch’s Mulholland Drive (2001); and F. Gary Gray’s A Man Apart (2003).

On small screen, Silva featured in numerous classics like Hill Street Blues, 227, Miami Vice, MacGyver, Days of Our Lives, Key West, and Walker, Texas Ranger. One of his last TV roles was portraying Senator Vrax in two episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise in 2005.

The actor is survived by his wife Pamela, daughter Lucia and 2 grandchildren.

Heavily pregnant international Rhythm and Blues singer, Ciara is most definitely proud of her body as she’s been flaunting it for a while now on social media.

The singer cum dancer is expecting a baby with her husband and NFL star quarterback, Russell Wilson — she took to her Instagram page recently to flaunt her growing baby bump while donning a hat, sunglasses, and black bikini top with a wrap-around her.

Mother and daughter graduate with medical degrees on the same day (Photos)

A woman idenfied as Dr. Cynthia Kudji and her daughter, Dr. Jasmine Kudji, have both graduated with medical degrees in Louisiana, United States.

According to a post by the Ghana Physicians and Surgeons Foundation on Facebook, the feat by the two women is the first time to have a mother and daughter “attend medical school at the same time and match at the same institution”.

The rare achievement have set the mother and daughter on their journey in the medical world.

Pregnant with daughter Jasmine at 23, Cynthia paused her dreams of becoming a doctor then proceeded to pursue a career in nursing, working for almost a decade before deciding to attend medical school.

Dr. Cynthia Kudji of Ghanaian Descent, got a degree in Family Medicine at Louisiana State University Health, while her daughter, Jasmine, also matched in General Surgery at the same University.

Estranged husband of Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, Olanrewaju Gentry took to his page recently to wish a particular whom he refers to as his “good wife”, a Happy Birthday.

Mr Gentry got estranged from his actress wife about three years ago after the latter based their estrangement on domestic violence on social media at the time.

Since then however, they’ve been able to keep a fluid relationship because of the son they have together, Olajuwon.

Mr Gentry now has people wondering whether or not he’s found a new spouse as he took to his Instagram page to wish a lady a happy birthday and called her his “good wife”.

COVID-19: Madagascar demands over 71 Million Naira from Nigeria for herbal drugs

REPUBLIC of Madagascar has asked the Federal Government of Nigeria to pay 170,000 Euros (N71.1M) for its COVID-19 herbal remedy sent to the Federal Government, it was learnt at the weekend.

According to TheNation, Madagascar sent an invoice to Nigeria as the drug is not to be made available for free.

The source reportedly said;

“For our consignments in Guinea Bissau, Madagascar has asked Nigeria to pay over €170,000. We have received the invoice because the African country has made us to realise that the drugs are not being given out free.

“We are being asked to pay for the drugs yet to be validated. Since the AU directed the supply of the drugs to African countries, we may have no choice than to pay for it.

This payment may, however, be one-off because mass importation of the drugs from Madagascar will not be cost effective. By the time we take into account the cost of freight, the amount will be too high.”

Man cuts ears of his 10-year-old son, burns his fingers for stealing his money (photos)

A Fifty-five-year old Ghanaian man, Osmanu Mumuni, has been arrested by the police in Ghana for physically abusing his 10-year-old son over claims he stole his money at his home in Obuom-Domeabra.

According to media reports, the mother of the child had on May 17, visited the police station to report that the day before, her ex-husband Osman Mumuni whom their son lives with, cut off part of the right ear of her son with a blade and also placed his fingers in an open fire after suspecting him of stealing ¢250.00.

The suspect was immediately arrested while the victim was taken to the Amanfro Poly Clinic where he was treated and discharged.

Osmanu who is in police custody confessed to the crime but claimed the victim is disobedient.

The police say he will be charged to court soon.
