Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams has reportedly filed for divorce from her Nigerian husband, Simon Guobadia, just 15 months after their lavish wedding in Nigeria.
The reality TV star filed a petition to end her marriage to Guobadia on Thursday, February 22, in Atlanta, according to court documents.
According to PEOPLE magazine, the divorce is “unrelated to recent allegations involving Simon’s past.”
An insider shared with People that the cause of their split is an “ongoing matter.”
Williams, aged 42, and Guobadia, aged 59, got married traditionally in Nigeria in November 2022 followed by an American ceremony in Atlanta.
The couple announced their engagement in May 2021, just one month after dating.

Nigerian lady shared on social media what she found inside a toothpaste tube. She was surprised at what she discovered after opening the tube.
The lady identified as @nikkibrown018 stated she wanted to use the toothpaste and felt something hard was inside when she was squeezing it.
As seen in the video, she divided the tube with a kitchen knife to reveal the content of the toothpaste. The lady exclaimed when she found two extra covers of the tube inside the toothpaste she purchased.
Surprisingly, there wasn’t enough toothpaste in the tube except the cover coated in paste. She said it has gotten to a point where people will result to using salt to brush their teeth.
The lady indulged Nigerians to be careful with every item they purchase.
The video has captured the attention of netizens online, who concluded it was a factory error.

Nigerian entertainer and actor, Idowu Adeyemi, better known as Yhemolee, has reportedly gifted his highly publicized girlfriend, Tayo, a brand new Mercedes Benz.
The young lady took to her Instagram story to share photos of the new car adorned with a large bow and balloons, one of which reads “Congratulations T. New whip, don’t play”.
Although she didn’t explicitly mention who bought her the car, netizens are speculating that it is a gift from her lover Yhemolee, with whom she recently reconciled after months of separation.
It will be recalled that the couple parted ways in June last year, following which Yhemolee briefly dated another woman.
However, that relationship didn’t last long, and he subsequently reunited with his longtime girlfriend, Tayo.
His new relationship with Bisola did not last and ended in cheating and infidelity speculations.
However, Yhemolee took to his Instagram page to write her a birthday message and add a heart ❤️ emoji. He also issued an apology for how their relationship ended.

Nigerian singer Favour Ugochi Anosike, popularly known as Ugoccie, has shared her encounter with a married fan who introduced her to his pregnant wife as his ‘crush’.
The 26-year-old musician shared this incident in reaction to a video of a fan who left her boyfriend to dance provocatively with singer Omah Lay at his concert in the UK.
Ugoccie recounted how she rebuked the married fan for introducing her to his wife as his ‘crush’ and personally apologized to the man’s wife.

Hydeia Broadbent, a prominent activist known for her advocacy as a child living with HIV/AIDS, has passed away at the age of 39.
Her father, Loren Broadbent, took to Facebook to announce the sad news of her death with a heartfelt tribute alongside a photo of her on Wednesday, Feb. 21.
The grieving father wrote,
“With great sadness, I must inform you all that our beloved friend, mentor and daughter Hydeia, passed away today after living with AIDS since birth.
“Despite facing numerous challenges throughout her life, Hydeia remained determined to spread hope and positivity through education around HIV/AIDS.”

Hydeia’s activism began at a young age when she was diagnosed as HIV-positive at 3 years old which later advanced to AIDS. Doctors initially predicted she wouldn’t live past age 5.
As a child, she appeared on various television programs, including a 1992 Nickelodeon special with Magic Johnson.
Following her death, Johnson himself took to social media to praise Hydeia for her bravery and dedication to HIV/AIDS advocacy, emphasizing her impact on education, breaking stigmas, and changing attitudes toward the disease.

Veteran Nigerian musician, Tony Tetuila has revealed his desire to work with dancehall and afrobeats singer, Burna Boy.
In a recent interview, he disclosed to internet celebrity Daddy Freeze that he is now working on a remix of his 2001 hit song, “My Car,” and would like to include the Grammy winner.
The former member of the defunct music group, The Remedies also voiced his enthusiasm for vocalists of the current age, particularly Burna Boy.
Tetuila also told Daddy Freeze that he constantly travels with the music of “African Giant” on repeat.
