Internet personality, May Yul-Edochie has shared an emotional message online while reflecting on how her 2023 went.

She spoke about how rough 2023 was for her and how it stole her flesh and blood leaving her in a situation she could not describe.

She wrote,

“Dear 2023, you were pregnant on the very first day of Jan unknown to anyone what you would deliver. You dealt with me in the most catastrophic ways…. Too many adversities | misfortunes and the worst of it you stole my own flesh and blood leaving me in the most devastating, miserable and confused state that I could never have imagined.
I lost all hopes and nearly gave up, I had too many questions eating me all up but I kept hearing that voice echoing, “who am I to question God”?
I struggled so hard and stood on God’s words commanding us to give Him praise in every situation despite how difficult it is. Truly, I appreciate all the good people you made me cross paths with (my family, friends, strangers turned friends and my online fam). I cannot begin to list names cos it is endless but I want y’all to know that I will forever remain thankful for the incredible level of love and support showered upon me and my family in our most difficult times. I’m grateful to God Almighty for being God in my life, in other words I’m so glad that man is not God.
2023, it is with all that is within me, I say goodbye to you forever as I embrace the new year 2024 singing my song with a life of thanksgiving, a life of forgiveness and life of commitment to God. I pray that God in His infinite mercy and goodness will bless us all and shield us under His constant love. Afflictions shall never rise in our homes in Jesus name”

Popular Nigerian DJ and daughter of Nigerian businessman, Florence Otedola known professionally as DJ Cuppy has replied a troll who shamed her for being single.

The 31-year-old entertainer shared the troll’s tweet on her snap, adding that the microblogging platform X is not for the weak.

A while back, Cuppy had quoted a tweet that contained the handles of the most followed Nigerian personalities on X(Twitter), where she happens to be the most followed woman on the platform

Quoting the tweet, she stated that anyone who doesn’t agree with her handle being on the list should argue with their keypads.

Popular Nigerian skit maker Adesokan Adedeji Emmanuel fondly referred to as Shank Comics has shared his dad’s reaction after he visited his house for the first time.

According to Shank’s tweet on the microblogging platform X, his Dad found it hard to believe his son owned that type of luxurious apartment.

Describing his reaction as an emotional one, Shank mentioned that he couldn’t stop saying ‘this is a mystery and it has to be God.’

Sophia Momodu, the first babymama of popular Nigerian singer, Davido, has gotten on the wrong side of Nigerians after she revealed why she does not flaunt her body on social media.

The businesswoman made this revelation in response to a follower who questioned why she doesn’t show off her body like her colleagues, despite having a nice physique.

“Why don’t you show off your body like the rest. You’ve got a banging body you know,” the follower asked.

In response, the mother of one cited two reasons why she doesn’t showcase her body to Nigerians, specifically.

She mentioned that she flaunts her body on her private Snapchat, but she intentionally didn’t add any Nigerians there because she believes they don’t deserve her.

In the trending clip, the bride playfully queried her father for looking so good like he was the one getting married.

She then told him to turn around so that she could take a better look at him and admire him properly, at which point she tapped his bum.

A Nigerian medical doctor, Ohis Ojeabuo, has taken to social media to share his ordeal after allegedly being extorted by police officers in Lagos state.

According to him, he and his colleagues were on their way to work when they encountered a mechanical issue with their vehicle, prompting them to park on the side of the road to assess the problem.

In his online post, he recounts that while they were attending to their vehicle, police officers approached them and demanded an exorbitant sum of N250,000 for the act of parking on the road.

Shocked and outraged, he and his colleagues challenged the officers, refusing to succumb to such an extortionate demand.

Determined to stand up against this alleged injustice, the medical professionals engaged the officers in a series of discussions and managed to negotiate the amount down to N59,000.

Reluctantly, they handed over the money as they felt coerced by the situation they found themselves in.

Nigerian man, Abah Festus Victor, has spoken out after his alleged girlfriend, Mimi Bella, accused him of secretly marrying another woman.

Bella made headlines recently after she called out Victor and laid hefty curses on him for allegedly betraying her. She publicly stated that she wishes him nothing but pain until he dies.

She wrote,

“Congratulations on ur shameless marriage. May God punish u for the rest of ur life. Frm my heart I wish you nothing but pain till you rest in the bosom of the devil.”

Not surprisingly, the young man has now spoken out in a post shared on his Facebook page on Thursday, December 28.

He clarified that Mimi is not his girlfriend but his baby mama, and they’ve broken up since 2017 after the birth of their daughter.

According to him, he never for once promised to marry her, so he doesn’t understand her outburst. He also claimed that she is falsely accusing him of abandoning her to gain online followers.

Victor further alleged that Mimi is jealous because he got married to another lady.

Describing her situation as a ‘heartbreaking one’ she prayed for God to give her the strength to accept what is not meant for her.

She also added that she does not know what it feels like to be loved by someone or be in a relationship with someone.

Big Brother Naija ‘level up’ winner, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, better known as Phyna, has disclosed how her relationships with brands have suffered as a result of social media controversies.

The Big Brother Naija “Level Up” winner said that because of her constant disputes with both critics and colleagues, she has lost a total of 17 ambassadorial deals.

Phyna revealed this information in an interview with her colleague, Doyinsola David, on a recent edition of her podcast, Doyin’s Corner.

She said that because of the bad public impression of her—that is, people believing she is abusive—one specific company rejected collaborating with her.

The company’s stance followed reports that Phyna had given her ex-boyfriend Groovy a slap for allegedly going behind her back to get a deal that was intended for the two of them.

Phyna stated that the majority of unfavourable reports from bloggers contributed to the dent that her image has suffered.

“Two weeks ago, my manager and I did a calculation of how many deals I lost last year till now. We counted 17 deals.

A Nigerian man has received a lot of backlash from internet users, after he opposed the idea of house owners fixing an air conditioner in the room of a gateman.

The tweet which he shared on the microblogging platform x, has generated similar reactions from many online.

He had earlier tweeted that; “A man built a mansion in Umuahia, Abia state and added Samsung air conditioner to the gateman’s room. He might have done this with good intentions, but I find this to irrational. How will a security man be vigilant when he is sleeping inside AC?”

The question he added to his tweet however triggered a lot of internet users, as they all trooped into his comment section to condemn his opinion.
