Yesterday, several Yourba actors including Kunle Afod, Sanyeri, Adekola Tijani and others paid a courtesy visit to the residence of ailing veteran comedian, Baba Suwe after news of his failing health became a social media topic.
Baba Suwe who was earlier reported to have been abandoned by his colleagues welcomed them to his Ikorodu home in Lagos and according to Kunle Afod, ‘visiting Baba Suwe yesterday was joy for me. Thank God he’s still alive, he was happy to see us. Cracked some jokes and all I see in him was hope for survival and be strong again. I pray to God to give him good health and bring him back fully to active time’.
Laura Ikeji via Instagram has revealed that she and her brother-in-law’s wife are not friends. Laura is married to Kanu Nwankwo’s younger brother, Ogbonna Kanu.
The ex- Super Eagles player is married to a fitness expert, Amara Kanu, who Laura has revealed she is not friends with.
Laura Ikeji made this known after a follower asked her on Instagram: “Why you and Amara Kanu not following each other and even not relating to each other…”
Replying the follower, Laura Ikeji simply stated that they are not friends.
She wrote: “We are not friends.”
Recall that Amara Kanu and Laura Ikeji’s husband Ogbonna Kanu made news last year when she called him out for allegedly stealing her son’s ticket to go see a Leeds United game. She labeled him a “borrow pose” after he shared a picture of the ticket and announced he would be going to see the game.
“You are a coward and liar. That’s my sons ticket. He was supposed to follow his dad to the Leeds game today but no. You have never allowed Kanu to be in peace with his family. You tried that with me all these years thinking I will die and now you want to come near my children. You can’t. You won’t. Oloshi oloriburuku. Borrow pose. @ogbobekee1, don’t mess with my children’s things or their dad.”
Perhaps, this must be part of the reason why there is a lack of friendship between Laura Ikeji and her brother-in-law’s wife.
Some residents of Nnewi area in Anambra state, were left shocked after discovering a new born baby dumped along the road.
It was gathered that the child was dumped by the mother in a carton along Bank road in the area. Unfortunately, the baby boy was found dead this morning after he was left unclothed overnight.
According to reports, the incident was said to have left many passersby and sympathizers in tears following the innocent child’s death.
Three Nigeria Customs Service officers have been detained over their alleged involvement in a recent shooting at Shagamu interchange, Ogun State, that led to the death of one Godwin Agada Onoja.
The spokesman of the service, Joseph Attah, in a statement, said the Comptroller-General of Customs, retired Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali, ordered the arrest and detention of the officers.
The investigation panel headed by the Zonal Coordinator Zone A, ACG Kaycee Ekekezie subsequently quizzed three of them after which he ordered that they should be detained.
Attah added that the panel could not immediately conclude the investigation because the officer (ASCI Destiny Onebamho) whose riffle discharged, is presently receiving medical attention as a result of attack on him following the shooting incident.
The shooting was made known after a video showing the horrific incident went viral on social media.
British-Nigerian heavyweight boxer, Anthony Joshua was aggressively shoved by his American opponent Jarrell Miller as they went face to face at their first press conference in New York on Tuesday.
The meeting didn’t go down well for the boxers, as Miller was seen violently pushing Anthony Joshua before security interfered and kept them apart.

A man identified as ThankGod Emmanuel, has been arrested by the Niger State Police Command for killing his co-worker over N47,000.
According to Newtelegraph, ThankGod Emmanuel, who is a bricklayer killed his co-worker Tita Komla with a digger at Sauka-Kahuta area of Minna.
It was further gathered that the suspect robbed his victim of his N47,000 and dumped his body inside the gutter.
Emmanuel admitted that he killed Komla in order to take his money. “I killed him so that nobody would know that I stole his N47,000.
I used digger to inflict injuries on his head and he died instantly. I least suspected that police would identify me. Well, it’s really unfortunate,” he added.
The Anambra state police command have arrested a mother and her daughter for allegedly stealing a four-year-old girl.
The state police command spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed, said the mother, 42-year-old Ngozi Ede, connived with her 17-year-old daughter, Kosiso, to steal and sell a baby for N250,000 at the Awada, Obosi area in the Idemili North Local Government Area of the state.
“Police detectives attached to the Awada Division arrested one Ngozi Ede, female, aged 42 years, and her daughter, Kosiso Ede, female, aged 17 years of No. 4 Ukaegbu Junction, Awada. The suspects conspired and stolen one Mesoma Ikoko, aged four years, from the custody of her mother, one Nneka Ikoko, of the Mammy Market, Army Barracks, Onitsha.

A gunshot survivor has shared a photo of the scar she sustained on her belly after she was shot.
Takieyah Reaves was shot in the stomach and the bullet shattered it but, miraculously, missed every major organ – the result of the shot however, damaged her stomach wall beyond repair so a skin graft was done with flesh taken from her thigh.
The procedure left her looking pregnant and she says people sometimes ask embarrassing questions, like when her baby is due and why her stomach makes growling sounds.
But she’s more grateful for life and determined to make the best of it.

Fast rising jockey, Opeyemi Adeaga better known as DJ Efe has lost his life – the promising young DJ reportedly died after a brief illness.
Confirming his death, the DJ association, Oyo State chapter wrote,
‘with sadness in our hearts, we announce the pass on of one of us at Djanoyostate. Opeyemi Adeaga. He came, he fought. Late Mr Opeyemi Adeaga (DJ EFE) will continue to be in our hearts May your soul continue to rest in perfect peace. Rest on’.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan Zonal Office, on Tuesday arraigned one Oladimeji Omotola Abiola, pictured, before Hon. Justice Joyce Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court 2, sitting in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on a five-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretense and possession of false documents.
One of the charges preferred against him reads,
That you Oladimeji Omotola Abiola ‘M’ sometimes in the month of January, 2019, at Ibadan, Oyo State, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, with intent to defraud, did obtained by false pretense the sum of Two Hundred and Thirty United States of American Dollars ($230.00) from one Jeremiah Barber who resides in the United States of America, under the pretense that you are a woman named Jessie West, ready to marry him, which pretense you knew to be false and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 1 (1) & (2) and punishable under Section 1 (3) of the Advance Fee Fraud and other Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006.
A statement released by the antigraft agency says the defendant pleaded not guilty to all the charges. Prosecuting counsel, Adeola Elumaro, therefore, applied for a trial date and for the remand of the defendant in prison custody.
However, counsel to the defendant, A. D. Akinferan, told the court that he had a pending bail application on the matter, which he was yet to serve the prosecution; and thus prayed the court for a short adjournment to enable him do the needful.
Justice Abdulmalik adjourned the case to March 4, 2019 for trial and hearing of the bail application. The defendant was remanded in Agodi Prison Ibadan.

Ghanaian actor, Nana Tornado has slammed gospel singer and evangelist, Diana Asamoah for criticizing alcohol consumers.
Diana Asamoah labeled all those who drink alcohol as senseless people.
According to the evangelist, the Bible in the book of Ephesians 5:18 categorically described such people as senseless.
Diana Asamoah also wondered why some people who see nothing wrong in drinking alcohol would still not board a vehicle being driven by someone drunk on alcohol. To her, that is another height of senselessness.
Rubbishing Diana’s stance, Nana Tornado said,
