Shepherd Bushiri and his wife were arrested last week for fraud and money laundering – he is accused of sending sending R15million out of South Africa to his birth country Malawi through vehicles and his private jet.

The Anambra State Ministry of Women and Children Affairs on Sunday, has said that it has received a complaint about an alleged underage marriage involving a girl from Ihiala identified as Chinwe, and a man from Ozubulu, Mr Izuchukwu Igwilo.
The statement which was signed by Lady Ndidi Mezue, the Commissioner, Anambra State Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, stated the ministry is following up on the case as it continues to collaborate with several persons and organisations including security agencies towards quick resolution.
“The ministry is in contact with the girl’s family, Anambra Police and other interested parties in the matter including human rights activists,” the statement reads.
“The ministry’s utmost concern at this period is the safety and well-being of the young girl in question, as well as the well-being of her young child. As a result, the ministry has up till this time not made any press statement, granted any media interviews nor released any pictures concerning this matter, this is to protect the dignity and privacy of the innocent persons involved. We call on all those working on this case with us to toe the same line.
We can report at this time that considerable progress has been made on the matter and wish to state that the young girl in question is not yet in the custody of the ministry as reported on several social media platforms.
We wish to assure the public that in line with our mandate, and as can be seen in previous social welfare interventions undertaken by the Ministry, we will pursue this particular case towards achieving a satisfactory and positive outcome.”
The Association of White Witches in Nigeria, AWWN, has finally endorsed PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, as the next President of the country.
Spokesman of the association, Dr. Iboi Okhue, told Sunday Independent in an exclusive telephone chat that, “the victory of Atiku was sealed in two meetings held on the Obudu Mountain in Cross River State and the Zuma Rock in Abuja.”

Two friends, Zaharadeen Hussaini Kaita and Saib Abbantea, were killed in a fatal accident on their way home after attending a friend’s wedding in Malam Madori local government area of Jigawa State. The third friend, Yusuf Dot Java was seriously injured and hospitalised.
The accident occurred along Ringim-Kano road. Zaharadeen Kaita was until his tragic death, a lecturer with Isa Kaita Polytechnic Katsina- while Java was a lecturer at Nuhu Bakalli Polytechnic Zaria.

A new video has surfaced on social media sees another old white man begging and crying to the people who scammed him to return his money because his mother has even stopped talking to him because of the money.
He is heard in the video saying:

The Economic and Financial Crimes, EFCC, Enugu Zonal Office, has arrested 13 suspects for allegedly engaging in cyber crime and internet fraud.
Items recovered from them include nine exotic cars ranging from Toyota Avenza, Toyota Lexus, Toyota Hillux, Toyota avalon,Mercedez Benz among others. Others include laptops, printers, cameras, phones, expensive drinks and other personal effects.
The Zonal Head of the South East Zone of the commission, Ahmed Imam Usman, while addressing the Press on February 1, 2019 said the raid was consequent upon the resolve ofthe acting EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Magu to intensify the Commission’s fight against internet and cyber fraudsters across the country.
He said:
“We have resolved as part of carrying out the commission’s mandate to stamp out internet scams, advance fee fraud and other related crimes and help in rebuilding the image of the country.
“Apart from public corruption which affects us locally, and denies us access to basic social amenities, Nigerians are treated badly because of the activities of cyber criminalsand this gives us a bad name internationally. We are determined to stamp that out.”
Charges have been drawn against the suspects and have been filed in court; they will soon be arraigned.
Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Port Harcourt Zonal Office have arrested six suspected internet fraudsters at their hotel hideout in Rumuigbo, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
They were arrested on Friday, February 1, 2019 in a sting operation.
The suspects, comprising four men and two ladies are: Oghenekewe Innocent Akinnawo, Kemka Godseat Amadi, Revelation Macaulay, Damilola Adedoyin Oyinloye, Mary Ndubuisi and Jennifer Vandi.
Their arrest followed series of intelligence report linking them with alleged fraudulent activities ranging from love scam on numerous dating sites, obtaining money by false pretences and other fraud still being investigated.
Several items were recovered from them at the point of arrest. Some of them are three exotic cars: Benz- E350-4Matic; Toyota Camry XLE and Benz- GLE 450. Others are four iPhones, four laptops; one iPad, one iron sealed stamp; cheque books, car number plates and two un-used bullets.
They will soon be charged to court.

Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson, has come under fire from her fans who have vowed that no Ghanaian man will marry her after she mentioned that the country’s men lacked confidence in approaching her.
According to Yvonne, she has been single for a while now as she opened up that she was no longer with her British baby daddy, Jamie Roberts, disclosing that they were only co-parenting now.
It was only days after declaring that she was single and needed a man in her life that Yvonne said no Ghanaian man had proposed to her yet.
In sharing their views on her current situation, some social media users, particularly Ghanaians, have refuted Yvonne’s claim that Ghanaian men lacked confidence in proposing to her.

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo has in a new video taken to RCCG church to testify for surviving the Helicopter Crash in Kogi state yesterday.

Recall we brought you reports about the Vice President escaped death after the helicopter conveying him crash-landed in Kabba, Kogi State.
According to an aide of the Vice-President, Laolu Akande, who confirmed the incident he wrote; “VP Osinbajo’s Chopper crash lands in Kabba, but he and the entire crew safe,” Akande tweeted. “He is continuing with his engagements and plans for the day in Kogi State.”
Meanwhile, Babafemi Ojudu, a political adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari, on Sunday thanked safety measures and quick response of security personnel for saving himself and 11 others who were in the helicopter that crashed on Saturday.
Mr Ojudu was on the delegation of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo when the accident occurred as their chopper was landing in Kabba, Kogi State.
The incident occurred around 3:00 p.m. Messrs Osinbajo and Ojudu escaped unhurt with 10 other persons on the helicopter. The minister of state for labour and productivity, Stephen Ocheni, was also onboard.
Caverton Group, an air charter service which operated the Augusta A139 helicopter, blamed “unusual weather conditions” for the crash in a preliminary statement. Further investigations are expected.
The vice president spoke shortly after the incident, saying he was alive and well and that campaign activities for the upcoming presidential elections would continue as scheduled.
Nigerians of divergent political and religious affiliations have congratulated Mr Osinbajo and all others in the fated helicopter.
Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has alleged that presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar is an “indigene” of Cameroon.
Kanu stated this on Saturday during his live broadcast from London, UK.
The IPOB leader further blamed Atiku for the failure of Alex Ekwueme .
Kanu said: “Some of you do not understand that the person behind the failure of Ekwueme in 1999 during PDP convention was Atiku
“Do you know that Atiku Abubakar is from Cameroon? His area of Adamawa was in Cameroon.
Kanu, however, warned Nigerians against voting in the forthcoming 2019 election.
“By voting, all you are doing is perpetuating the misery of our people.
“To vote in the zoo means to endorse 1999 fraudulent constitution. By voting, all you are doing is perpetuating the misery of our people.
On calling off the referendum given to Biafrans to boycott the 2019 election, Kanu called on the government to sign the document given to them.
According to him, that is the only way the 2019 election would not be boycotted by Biafrans.
“Those pressuring me to call off the election boycott know what to do, sign that document I gave to you and I will call off the election boycott, you know what the document contains.”
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, had some days ago declared February 16, 2019 date for a referendum to ascertain the number of Nigerians who want a separate Biafra republic through a peaceful and democratic process.

The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, yesterday, suggested breakthrough in negotiations with the striking university lecturers.
The lectures under the umbrella of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) started an indefinite strike on November 5, 2018.
However, speaking at a media conference in Abuja, yesterday, Mr Adamu said an agreement was reached with the union which was expected to call off the strike today.
He said, “the strike will be called off from today (yesterday) or tomorrow (today) and certainly, there won’t be strike next week.”
There were reports earlier today that Mr. Agoboye Francis Monday, the father of the little boy with multiple holes in his hearts, absconded after well-meaning Nigerians raised over 70 million naira for his son’s surgery.
The viral reports started after Humanitarian worker, KBK who was amongst the many Nigerians that helped raised the money, called out Mr. Agboboye, allegedly that he had cut him off since the N70 million donations. This immediately fueled speculations that he had absconded.
OAP, Freeze has spoken to Mr Monday and he denied absconding with the donations made. He said he chose to go lowkey for security reasons and that they are set to travel out of Nigeria as soon as possible.
He also showed the passports he has procured for himself and his son. Mr Monday also said he had been busy with his wife who just gave birth on January 31st.

U.S rapper, Bow Wow was arrested early Saturday morning in Atlanta after he was accused of assaulting a woman at 205 12th Street around 04:15am.
Atlanta police said the woman, identified as Leslie Holden, and Bow Wow “sustained visible minor injuries.” Officers said they “were unable to determine the primary aggressor of the altercation, so both parties” were charged with battery.
Moss has since bonded out. His lawyer released a statement Saturday night, saying Bow Wow was wrongfully arrested after being “beaten by an out-of-control intoxicated female.”
Attorney Joe S. Habachy said Holden beat Bow Wow with a lamp, bit him and spit on him. Full statement,
“Shad Bow Wow Moss was wrongfully arrested earlier this morning for the first time after being beaten by an out of control intoxicated female, Ms. Leslie Holden, in an Atlanta condominium.
The only two independent witnesses both corroborated his version of events indicating that Ms. Holden was simply out of control and was without a doubt the primary aggressor.
For no logical reason officers arrested both parties despite having clear-cut evidence that Bow Wow was the victim in the case.
Ms. Holden beat him with a lamp, bit him on his side, and spit on him while Bow Wow continually made efforts to avoid her. Bow Wow suffered multiple injuries, some of which are visible in his mugshot.
Ms. Holden’s mugshot on the other hand speaks for itself, despite her allegation to police that she broke a fingernail. It is unclear if Holden is out on bond and she has not commented on the charges.”
Media personality and Host of the Big Brother Naija Show, Ebuka Uchendu revealed that campaigning on Instagram to get a slot on the show might ruin your chances.
This comes after pictures of ‘aspiring contestants’ putting their pictures side-by-side with the Big Brother Logo, soliciting for support on their social media pages, went viral.

Last week a video of a visibly distraught father went viral after he sat in the middle of the road with his sick son in Port-harcourt, crying out over his inability to get ‘proper’ treatment for his son.
Nigerians were moved by his plight and a humanitarian, KBK requested for his info, so he could be helped.
KBK was finally able to get through to him, there were calls for donations, and in less than a week, donations amounting to over 70 million naira was raised.
However in a new shocking update, by the humanitarian KBK, the said ‘father’ has cut off all communication, and even blocked him on Instagram.

Iconic Nigerian Afropop singer, Davido has revealed in a new interview that detectives in the United States came to search his house when he first bought it.
In the interview with Channel 4, the singer stated that the detectives were suspicious of him because of the neighbourhood where he bought the house.
In his own words,
“I’m the only African person in that neighbourhood so I moved in and two days later, detectives came to my door. They came in and searched the whole house asking me what I do because I bought that house cash. I don’t have a problem with authorities but it might be shocking,” he said.

A man who discovered that his girlfriend was cheating on him devised a rather hilarious way of welcoming her at the Airport.
The photo of the man, standing in the airport in Melbourne, Australia with a huge sign saying “I KNOW YOU CHEATED” was posted on Twitter last Wednesday by Twitter user Krystal.
The gentleman was apparently waiting for the “cheater” to come through the airport. The twitter user posted the photo with the caption,
