Some angry Nigerian music fans accused the Recording Academy of collusion in the selection of Tyla’s “Water” over popular songs by Omo Baba Olowo and Odogwu.

Globally, in my opinion, ‘Water’ was a slightly bigger song [than Nigerian songs nominated]. It doesn’t mean those songs were not big. They were very big. It’s just that ‘Water’ has more vitality. It is massive on Tiktok.”

‘Jossy’ is not Mohbad’s biological father. He is just making money off him – Mohbad’s mom blows hot in purported new audio
The mother of the late Nigerian singer, Mohbad, has made a shocking revelation about the singer’s father, Mr. Joseph Aloba, stating that he is not his biological father.
She stated this in a leaked phone conversation she had with a yet-to-be-identified person, which was aired on a Facebook live session hosted by one Yeye Kudi.
In the clip, Mohbad’s mother expressed her displeasure with the singer’s father for refusing to give permission for the burial of the late singer.

She accused him of intentionally delaying the burial for close to five months because of the donations he is allegedly receiving from people.
She further questioned if he is still seeking justice for Mohbad or if he is after his own monetary gain, alleging that he struck a 75/25% deal with someone.
Shockingly, she stated that Mr. Joseph is not the biological father of the children, including Mohbad, she left in his care, and that he is just making money off them.

She added that if he were the singer’s biological father, he wouldn’t be doing what he is doing, stating that he won’t refuse to bury the deceased because of money.
Speaking further, she said she gives Mohbad’s father a three-day ultimatum to conduct his much-desired DNA test to determine if Mohbad is indeed the father of his son, Liam, as a few months ago, Mr. Joseph expressed his refusal to claim Mohbad’s corpse until a DNA test is conducted.
