The outgoing governor of Osun, Rauf Aregbesola has said he did not earn salaries throughout the eight years he spent in office.
Aregbesola spoke during an interactive programme tagged ‘Ogbeni Till Day Break’ on Saturday in Osogbo saying since it was the state that was feeding him, fueling his cars and providing him with accomodation, there was no need for him to be paid.
He also said that he does not have any bank account where he keeps money in any part of the world.
”I have not collected salaries since I became the governor of the state. The state feeds me, fuels my car and provides me accomodation. With all these, I don’t need money.
I have no money and bank account anywhere. I have no house except the one I built before I became the governor. Anyone can go out there to investigate if I have bank account”, he said.
Aregbesola who will be handing over to the governor-elect, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola on November 27, said he would vacate the Government House by Monday, November 19. He said the decision to leave the Government House earlier, was to give his successor enough time to do necessary renovations.

My dearest husband, today marks 5 years since we made this our story official. And what a story it is. In the many years that I have known you what I admire the most about you is your caring heart, your kindness and humility. We have been through hell and back together but these three traits have remained a constant. It took me a long time to understand you but I thank God I now fully get you.
You are a true example of a real Man. You have been called all sorts of names but because you know who you are and because you are confident in yourself, and because you know that nobody is dragging this role with you, words don’t bother you any longer and that I respect. Our children are blessed to have a father who puts them first in all decisions taken. They are blessed to have a father who listens to their needs and I am blessed to have a husband who will take a bullet for me any day. In all, I thank God for keeping us healthy, alive and content.
Life is too short to sweat the small stuff. Issues will come up but we remain humble in God’s eyes. Marriage is not a walk in the park especially when one is married to a celebrity trust me I know but we do what we can and leave the rest in God’s hands. I thank you from the buttom of my heart for loving me unconditionally. I am not perfect. I have a lot of flaws but you have accepted me as I am. Happy Anniversary babes, I love you, zombie love! @peterpsquare ???????????????????? #mrandmrsokoye #anniversary #love #blessed #itsouranniversary #november17th

Nollywood actor, Adeleye Adeshile, popularly known as Leye Kuti, has debunked rumours going around that he acquired two new cars through fraudulent means.
After uploading the picture of two new cars said to belong to him on his Instagram page, some people insinuated that he must have got the money to acquire the cars through fraudulent means or by being a gigolo. In a telephone conversation with Saturday Beats, the actor who is now based in the UK, said he made his money by working hard and not by defrauding people.
He recalled that when he was still acting in Nigeria, he had challenges paying his bills, so he had to open a boutique to augment his income.
“Some of the people who made comments said acquiring a car is not an achievement, I don’t mean to brag but I have other things that are worth more than that. One of the cars was my birthday gift, and the other one was a gift to my mother. That was why I bought two cars.
“My life doesn’t end on social media; I am a very private person. When I got broke, I was not able to keep up. Movies paid me less money than my business so I leveraged on the fame that came from movies to run my boutique. People always wanted to buy things from me because they knew me on screen.
“There are many luxury things I do that I don’t post on my social media platforms. Before I left Nigeria, some people thought I was a gigolo because of my lifestyle and the kind of cars I drove. Some of them also thought I was fraudulent, but I work hard for my money.
“I only shared my recent post because I wanted to motivate people with my story. They were questioning me because I said I moved to Egbeda, Lagos when things got bad for me. Many people do not even know that I was born into a rich family; my father has nine houses and one petrol station,” he said.
Adeshile also explained how he struggled to survive while he was broke; shedding more light on the reason he had to move to Egbeda after things became difficult for him financially. He noted that despite the fact that he was going through some economic constraints, he was still driving a luxurious car before he had an accident.
“When I moved to Egbeda, I was living a quiet life. There was even a time when I had no money and the only thing I had was a visa. It was even difficult for me to raise money to get a plane ticket. My family members bought a ticket for me and I was able to move out of the country.
“After a while, I moved back to Nigeria and immediately, I got an endorsement deal with a property firm in Abuja; this made me get back on track. I made plans and I finally moved back to the UK in 2016 to continue work. I got a good paying job in London and I was still acting, which is where the money came from.
“The period I moved to Egbeda, I was still driving a 2012 convertible, even though I did not have enough money. In the middle of these challenges, I had a terrible accident with my car; it rammed into a truck on Fatai Atere Road in Mushin.
“Things just got worse for me; movies were not really paying my bills but it opened other doors for me as an actor. In the middle of all these, I had a child in England so I had to cater for her; the bills were too much for me. I could not keep up.
“In a week, I had to send a minimum of £500 to my child; money was not coming in because people owed me a lot while I was running my boutique. I uploaded the pictures of my cars to appreciate God and encourage people who have given up,” he said.
A 38-year-old man, Ibrahim Kazeem, has blamed his wife‘s constant demand for money for his decision to become an armed robber.
According to TheNation, Kazeem, who is the leader of a four-man robbery gang, which specialized in beating up their victims before pushing them out of moving vehicles, was arrested, recently, in Lagos.
The suspect, who claimed to have abandoned his job as a commercial bus driver for robbery, said:
“I am from Okeho town in Kajola Local Government Area, Oyo State, but I was born in Ajegunle, Lagos State.
‘’I am the first child of my parents, who are now late. One of my brothers is a 500 level Industrial Chemistry student in one of the universities in Nigeria. Another one is in secondary school, while two others are learning handiwork here in Lagos; I am the one taking care of them.
‘’My problems started when I married my wife. She gave me children, but she did not obey me. Instead, she continued to make more demands that overstretched me. Instead of cutting her coat according to her size, she would tell me to do what real men do, no matter the risk.
‘’There was one soup I told her that I used to do charm, and that on no account must she touch it. When I went to work, she went and destroyed the charm, despite my warning to her that if the soap is destroyed I would die. Having realized that she had no value for my life, coupled with too many demands from her, I sent her away from my house.’’
’This overstretched me because I am still taking care of my children. As a commercial driver, I used to go home everyday with two or three thousand naira after delivery of five thousand naira to the owner of the bus, yet it was not enough to take care of my family.
‘’I was still managing (as a commercial driver) until one of my friends named Tijani and my conductor brought the idea to rob people and make quick money. They called it advanced pickpocket work. It is different from ‘one chance’ because we don’t use force or weapon to collect phones and money from victims.
‘’This is what we do; the conductor and Tijani, would start haggling the fare while the bus is on motion. As the argument becomes heated, members of the gang who posed as passengers would start disposessing passengers of their phones and money.
“On October 30 October, 2018, along Surulere area, we did not know who alerted the Lagos State Police Commissioner, Mr Edgal Imohimi, and he directed the officer in charge of FSARS, Mr Peter Gana, to pursue us.
‘’We were robbing some victims, when the victims raised the alarm that attracted FSARS operatives, hence, they arrested us.’’
John Abayomi is set to sue Linda Ikeji if she doesn’t tender apology on her blog site within forty-eight hours or risk legal action.
Abayomi through his lawyer, Falana and Falana’s Chambers claimed that the publication with the headline, ‘LIB Exclusive: ‘Meet the owner of Instablog9ja-John Abayomi’ has put his life and that of his family in danger.
In the letter delivered to the blogger on Friday, Linda Ikeji was asked to tender an unreserved apology within forty-eight hours or risk legal action.
Falana said Linda’s claim that Abayomi is the owner of Instablog9ja is untrue and unfounded, but only calculated to lower Abayomi’s esteem and damage his reputation and professional career.
“Your publication has put him in the harm’s way, thereby endangering his life and the lives of his family members. It has also attracted a lot of negative reactions from members of the public including celebrities who has been eager to know the face behind the blunt and sarcastic blog because of the method of reportage”.
“Your mendacious publication was clearly actuated by malice in that it was deliberately done to portray our client as an imposter, a fraudster and a blackmailer”
“In the light of the foregoing, we have our client’s firm instructions to demand an unqualified apology together with a retraction of the libelous publication in the edition of your blog (Linda Ikeji blog) in addition to having the retraction published on Instagram.
“However, if you fail or refuse to accede to our client’s demands within 48 hours of the receipt of this letter, we shall have no option than to initiate civil proceedings against you at the Lagos State High Court without further recourse to you,” reads the letter which was signed by Chukwuma Onwuemene (ESQ.)
A reliable source has also rubbished reports that board members of Punch Newspapers met over Linda Ikeji’s publication.
“It is totally untrue. There was no such meeting. Everybody close to him, including his employers are aware that Linda Ikeji’s publication was completely untrue,” the source said.

A psychiatrist identified as Dr Maymunah Kadiri on Saturday advised married women to have regular sex with their spouses in order to prevent depression and gain happiness.
Kadiri, the Medical Director of Pinnacle Medical Services, a health and wellness centre for psychological, behavioral, and mental health related issues, gave the advice in an interview with newsmen in Lagos, Nigeria.
According to her, sex is not just to nourish a woman’s body, but it is also beneficial to her mental health.
Kadiri said ;
“As women, there is need for us to make our spouses our best friends if we want to be mentally healthy. Studies have shown that women who have more active sex and in long term relationships were less likely to be depressed than women who went without sex.
So, more sex is important and essential. It is a remedy to curing women from having persistent headache. “Low sexual drive, which leads to depression, should be looked into. A woman can be depressed when that sexual drive that she used to have is no more there.
Frequent active sex can play good roles toward women’s sense of well being and quality of life.’’
Dr. Kadiri, further urged women dealing with depression to frequently indulge in sex, while boosting their self-esteem.

”Today marks the day I made one of the best decisions of my life, to marry my best friend!
A best friend isn’t someone who’s just always there for you.
It’s someone who understands you a bit more than you understand yourself and today I’m happy and have no regrets that I married my best friend, the one i laugh with, live for, dream with and love. Most people don’t really know who you are or what you represent. I have seen them insult you, call you all sorts of names.” She’s Yoruba, She’s too Old for you, She’s biracial” Bla bla bla!!! Like I didn’t know all this b4 I married you.
They even came up with stories of how our late Mum never liked you but God knows that few weeks before she died you were the one getting up early to go stay with her at St. Nicolas hospital, even keeping her friends and pastors at your place for weeks because we were living on the mainland then. She always called you “My Daughter” RIP Mum Your Daughter” and your grand children are doing well Mum…. Maybe divorcing you to make you a baby mama will make some people happy and me unhappy; sorry that is not our portion.”Tufiakwa” Remember Love sees no color, love has no age limit nor race. But one thing is sure, I am here to protect and defend you from all those insults.
I took a vow to defend and protect you and our beautiful children on this day 5 years ago and no matter what happens, you and the kids come first. Maybe thats what makes me different from other guys; you guys are my priority. So let’s cut all that “Blood is thicker than water” BS Obviously you guys are not the water. Let’s not forget that Blood makes u related and Loyalty makes u family.
You’ve been through a lot because of me and I know how bad it’s hurts. So please forgive those who insult you, attack you, battle you or take you for granted. More than this…forgive yourself for allowing them to hurt you. Continue being the strong woman our daughter Aliona has as a role model and our son Cameron will know and understand what to look for in woman when he’s grown.
We’ve been together for over 16years and married for 5yrs. You are still the same woman and I will never forget the day I met you. How you used to book shows for us and all due to the fact that you worked in an agency (FKG2). I remember how our former manager Howie-T used to tell us how nice you were to us getting us shows and all.
Today the world doesn’t know all that. Instead they call you Gold digger. If anyone should be called Gold digger here, it should be me I remembered you gave me your official car few weeks after we moved into lagos and started dating.
That was the first time in my life experiencing a car with air conditioning and every night i would sleep inside the car. You made me a better man Lola and i owe you nothing but love and loyalty. Let me stop here because it’s our Wedding Anniversary. No need for too much talk. Happy Wedding Anniversary to us Lola we are so blessed and should be grateful to God for keeping us alive and together; failure is not our portion.
Thank you for accepting me as I am flaws & all. Thank you for the greatest gifts, our children. Thank you for helping me (us) through our career; for all the gigs, free consultations etc. Thank you for standing by me regardless of all the untruths spread about you. Thank you for caring for my Mother till her final days, even accommodating her church pastors in your home for weeks. Thank you for being an exceptional role model to our kids and being the best partner for me. I’m thankful for you, you get me, specially made for me till infinity. Oh lest I forget, thank you for my 1st air conditioned experience…. I love you Madam Kofo (Snr), Happy 5th Wedding Anniversary Babe. I go be your Zombie for Life#ZomeLove

Nollywood actress, Dayo Amusa, has in a recent interview advised young women to stop dating married men, as one day they will be wives and mothers and would not want the same thing to happen to them.
The actress said dating multiple men may not give one an option of a perfect man, as it sometimes leads to confusion.
“Frankly, as a public figure and based on what I stand for, I would not encourage a young lady to chase after married men. Some might say that married men would take good care of them, but it is wrong. It is not something I would encourage the youth to do.
“Also, I do not think that having numerous boyfriends gives you the privilege of having a perfect guy as it could even cause confusion at some point,” she said.
The actress further stated in the interview with Saturday Beats, that there really is nothing wrong with actors choosing to live fake lives, as she described their business as make-believe.
She said,
“Although social media is a platform that is meant to provide opportunities for people, sadly, most people are misusing it. I do not see the big deal in any artiste going on social media to live a particular life because it is called showbiz. You have to ‘show’ for the business to grow.
