The Cross Rivers state police have reportedly arrested a 27-year-old man, Mr Daniel Bassey, and his wife, Magdalene, for trafficking their two-year-old son for N180,000 to an agent in Port Harcourt, Rivers State in July this year.

The state commissioner of police, Hafiz Inuwa, who paraded the couple before newsmen at the state police command, said the duo were arrested on July 23rd 2018 in Calabar after the mother of the child reported the matter at the Efut divisional headquarters that her husband took their only son, Moses Bassey, to an unknown person in Port Harcourt through one woman simply known as Mummy and collected some money.

“On July 23, 2018, one Mrs Magdalene Bassey, reported at Efut Divisional Headquarters in Calabar that her husband, Mr Daniel Bassey, took their first son to an unknown person in Port Harcourt through one woman called Mummy. The police immediately swung into action and arrested the suspect. During interrogation, the suspect revealed that his wife was a party to the transaction. They are now in police custody to help the police to unravel the cause of this inhuman action and face possible prosecution.”Inuwa said

He said efforts were on by the police to ensure that the baby was recovered.

When interrogated, the father of the boy, Daniel Bassey, said he only gave his child as a collateral for N180,000 loan to help him pay his house rent.

“I did it based on the debt of N21,000 I collected from a friend to pay my house rent. There is no work in this rainy season and I am jobless. A guy from my area informed me that he knows a woman who lends money to people. That my friend told me that I can give out the child as collateral to get the money without necessarily selling him. The woman gave me N180,000 immediately after she received the child. After that, my mother in-law came and asked me of the child and I lied to her that I took the baby to my brother for holiday,” he said

His wife, Magdalene, who hails from Bakassi Local Government Area of Cross River State, admitted that she consented to the act. She said she agreed to it so that they could solve their financial problems.

A suspected assassin was apprehended in Ikorodu town in Lagos yesterday September 4th – the assassin was apprehended with a locally made gun found on him.

When he was interrogated, he said someone sent him to the town to carry out some attacks but he refused to give the name of the person.

He was beaten and thereafter handed over to the police.

Mahalia Akatugba, a 15-year-old Nigerian girl has been declared missing in Ghana – according to reports, she was last seen on August 30th.

Anyone who has any information about her should please contact the Weija police station SCC in Accra, Ghana or call 0244877638/0547559698. Hopefully she is found safe.

This comes after a young man identified as Hakeem Sanusi, was declared missing by his family members after he wrote and dropped a suicide note in the house before leaving.

According to his sister who shared the post on Twitter, he was last seen on the 8th of August around Aguda, Surulere, Lagos.

The young man’s father is reported to be crying his heart out as the family is pleading for anyone with useful information should contact them with some details they provided.

“Her presence aroused me” — 35 year old man arrested for raping 14 year old girl says

A certain Timothy Dogo, 35, has been arrested by the Niger state police command after he allegedly raped a 14-year-old girl at the Tufa Community in the Gurara Local Goverment Area of the state.

According to police reports, the victim was on an errand for her parents when Timothy dragged her into an uncompleted building and forcefully had sex with her.

When interrogated, Dogo who confessed to have had sex with four other unaderaged girls in the area, said the 14-year-old girl’s presence got him aroused.

“There was nothing to show that she is a teenager, she looks like a 20-year-old girl, I never knew that she is under-age; otherwise I wouldn’t have tried it in the first place. I raped her because her looks turn me on each time I set my eyes on her; there was this spirit that would tell me to make love to her and that was why on that fateful day, I dragged her into an uncompleted building to commit the act” he said

According to the police, Dogo would soon be arraigned in court.

School father marries his school daughter years after they met in secondary school (Photos)

A couple who met in secondary school got married this past weekend, more than a decade after they first met, and theirs is quite an interesting and unique love story.

The groom, Udeh Vincent Chukwunonso, revealed that he met his bride in secondary school when her elder sister handed her over to him, asking him to be her school father and watch over her.

He fulfilled the promise he made to watch over his school daughter until he graduated. They remained friends after they graduated and got married on Saturday, September 1, 2018.

Sharing photos of them as kids in secondary school and as adults getting married, the groom wrote:

Tanzanian singer, Diamond Platnumz has accused his baby mama, Hamisa of trying to bewitch him and his mother after a voice note of a conversation between a woman who sounds like Hamisa and a native doctor leaked.

Diamond’s mother, Mama Dangote, has accused Hamisa Mobetto and her mother Shufaa Lutigunga of using love potions to try and lure Diamond Platnumz into their trap.

According to Mama Dangote, the duo visited a witchdoctor for the sole purpose of displacing Diamond’s first baby mama, Zari Hassan and turning the musician’s heart and love towards Hamisa.

In a voice note that has gone viral online, a voice similar to that of Hamisa can be heard talking to an unidentified witch doctor.

The voice asked the witch doctor to make Diamond’s mother like her like before. She also said she was tired of Diamond hiding her and showing off his other lovers.

Diamond and his mother believe Hamisa was attempting to force the musician into a marriage he did not want. Diamond’s mother, Mama Dangote believes Hamisa wants Diamond to stop caring about Zari’s kids and fully focus on her.

Some days back, rumor was going round that Diamond’s mother Mama Dangote and his sister Esma Platnumz held an audition to find a lady who could imitate Hamisa and her mother’s voice so they could frame her for using juju on Diamond.

But Diamond responded in an interview with Wasafi TV, noting that he has received and heard the voice notes and identified the voice as that of the Hamisa and her mother.

He claims that Hamisa and her mother are trying to kill his mother and also trying to twist stories to make it seem like his mother Mama Dangote and sister Esma Platnumz are the evil ones.

Diamond claims that he identified the voice and confronted Hamisa about it.

Woman Vows To Sell All Her Properties To Buy Buhari A Nomination Form

A 35-year-old woman identified as Ronke Ajayi, has vowed to sell all her belongings in order to purchase President Muhammadu Buhari’s nomination form of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest 2019 presidential election.

The woman mentioned that with President Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s re-election in 2019, the future of her unborn children is bright.

She believes Buhari deserves second term in office based on the achievements he recorded in the last three years of his administration.

It was previously reported that the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) proposed N55 million for the nomination and expression of interest forms for its presidential ticket.

It also proposed N22.5 million for its governorship ticket but the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party later rejected the proposals, asking the NWC to review the proposition downward.

In the proposal, the nomination form for the presidency costs N50 million, while the expression of interest form goes for N5 million.

For the governorship ticket of the party, the nomination fee costs N20 million, while the expression of interest form cost N2.5 million.

Also, other nomination and expression of interest forms for elective offices were reviewed upward.

The highly anticipated Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award (AMVCA) held on Saturday, the 1st of September at Eko Hotels and Suites.

It was a night of sparkles, glitz and dreamy outfits as celebrities arrived in all their drama and some defied the red carpet with their fierce and captivating looks.

One dress that however gained a lot of traction on social media was former BBNaija housemate’s BamBam “feathered” dress.

Some of her critics described her dress as a failed attempt at copying Lady Gaga’s feathered dress at the Venice Film Festival but that is far from it:

Thailand police arrest Nigerian man for unlawful entry

A Nigerian man, has been arrested by the Thailand Police Force for allegedly sneaking across the border to live in Sa Kaew’s Aranyaprathet district, Thailand.

Acording to chief Pol Col Benjapol Rodsawat of the Sa Kaew command, the man identified as Dominic Ifechokwu Anigo, 28, was arrested in Aranyaprathet on Sunday evening, September 2.

He was nabbed in front of Wang Pla Tong Market and his passport showed no visa for entry.

Sophia Momodu, the sexy mother of superstar, Davido‘s first child, Imade, took to her Instagram – as usual – to share stunning new photos of herself.

The lovely’s recent photos shows her really sexy figure as she rocked a ankara top paired with a jean.

A while ago, Sophia was dragged by a follower who deemed it fit to come for her – the fan had stated that Davido doesn’t even like Sophia Momodu’s photos on social media, nor comment on her posts even though they have a child together.

The Instagram user who commented on a photo Sophia Momodu shared, wrote;

“What are you doing about davido and choima are you not going to do any thin you this girl , after all you have child with him, when you upload pix davido wont like it or comment and you are is babymama is unfair oooooo do some thing to it……. Sophia”

Reacting to the comment, Sophia wrote;

“wow lol I don’t care for whatever my ex is doing with his personal life, he’s a great dad & we’re Co parenting just fine that’s all that matters. We’ve moved on dear & you should try to as well.. nothing good comes from holding on to the past.”
