“In case anything happens to me hold my pastor Adegoke Jeremiah responsible” – Chef Dammy raises alarm

Popular Ekiti chef, Damilola Adeparusi, better known as Chef Dammy, has urged people to hold her pastor accountable if something were to happen to her.

In June 2023, the Ekiti Chef became popular after taking part in a “cook-a-thon” hosted by the pastor of her church, Adegoke Jeremiah, also known as Billion Dollar Prophet.

Dammy has now expressed concern over a possible danger to her life.

She said that ever since her cook-a-thon endeavour, she has been living in continual terror for her life. She questioned her assailants about whether they would not stop coming for her till she stopped breathing, pointing out that it had been four months since then.

She wrote:

“‘By the time we are done with you,you will not be able to stand on your feet again’.
This was from the acclaimed ‘people of God’. Among many of the countless insults, curses, threats and bullying.
Now, I understand the content of 1 Peter 4:17, Surely judgment will begin from the house of God.
The first time the man of God tried to challenge my God he failed, then he told me to prepare for war.
But these are the people of God. Are they not supposed to be Godly?
Assuming I had died few days ago; people would’ve understood better what I’ve been facing, by the testimony of those around me.
But I’ll still try and bind my piece because it is a testimony that others can learn from.
I know about gods that is why I chose the undefeatable God. Surely they shall gather,
but they that be with me are more than they that be with them.
I’ve been in constant fear for my life. Countless times they’ve tried to destroy me as promised, but with God I keep moving as if nothing ever happened.
Shouldn’t we have gotten over this?
I mean it’s 4 months already, guess you will not stop until I stop breathing?
I’ll try to update this piece, while I try to hold unto my peace.”

She named her pastor as the individual threatening her life in a follow-up post.

She went on to say that she will be in Lagos for an interview in which she would let everything out but she cautioned that her pastor ought to be held accountable if anything were to happen to her.

Onoja took to his Facebook page to share photos of his performance at a church in Jalingo, Taraba state capital. However, his entrance was particularly attention-grabbing because he arrived in a coffin.

This X user made the accusation in response to a photo of the 32-year-old musician with Marina Abramović, a controversial Serbian artist who has been entangled in various conspiracy theories over the years.

Mixed reactions trail trending video where four year old girl is buried halfway because she could not walk yet (VIDEO)

Netizens have reacted differently to a trending video that was shared on X formerly known as twitter by a tweep with the username @Dami’Adenuga.

The content in the video showed a girl who was crying profusely while are legs were buried into the ground by people around her.

 

According to the tweep he stated that the girl was four years old but she could not walk yet, hence the reason she is been halfway buried into the ground.

He attached a caption to the video that says “She couldn’t walk yet so they buried half of her body in the ground to make her walk.”

Quite a number of internet users however did not take the video likely as they saw it as a punishment that is traumatizing while others understood the process as a traditional one.

A video which was posted on TikTok and is currently trending on all social media platforms has made many netizens emotional.

The Tiktoker whose username is @whisky_dennis is a student of Niger Delta University posted the video to solicit for financial help from netizens online.

He mentioned that is dad is late and his mum is just a farmer, adding that he had nobody to help him with his needs.

While crying in the video, he attached a caption that read “Since I came to this school things have been so hard for me Nobody to help me My dad’s late. My mum is a farmer No family No friends I’m dying I’ve been starving for weeks I’m dying.”

The video has gotten a lot of reaction from people and majority of internet users have agreed to help me with the little they can, while others advised him to drop out and look for a source of income.

“I keep getting dɘath threats” – Phyna raises alarm

Big Brother Naija season 7 winner, Josephine Otabor, better known as Phyna, has revealed that she has been getting death threats following her altercation with Davido.

Recall that Davido said he didn’t know Phyna after she confronted him for liking a tweet that disparaged her.

Apparently, the singer had accidentally liked a viral tweet stating that people who are die-hard fans of certain celebrities, like Phyna, display signs of uselessness.

This stirred a series of reactions from fans of both parties, drumming support for their fave and belittling the other.

In a recent update, Phyna took to the microblogging platform, X (formerly known as Twitter) to reveal that she had been getting death threats from fans.

According to her, everyone was an 001 in their area of specialisation, not just Davido, and it was unfair for his fans to threaten her.

A X user identified as @Dr Beckley of ‘BUJ has shared on the microblogging platform how he ordered a pizza and the delivery guy turned out to be his secondary school classmate.

The tweep who is a doctor said he was excited to see his colleague, welcomed him with open arms and chatted with him for a while.

His tweet read “My secondary school classmate was the delivery man that delivered pizza to me yesterday. I was so happy to see him, I dropped my “ Dr status”, hugged him, we talked and laughed, shared his story, gave him some money and promised to keep in touch. God blesses me to bless others.”

However some netizens wondered why he added “I dropped my ‘Dr status'” and what he was trying to prove with the statement.

Controversial social media commentator, VeryDarkMan has responded to legendary Nollywood actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo and others after he made a remark about the movie industry’s flawed structure and the health issues Mr. Ibu faced.

After spending his birthday in bed in a hospital, legendary actor Mr Ibu begged Nigerians for financial assistance.

Highlighting the efforts made to help the sick actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo delivered a broad warning to the commentator and others to stop making fun of the movie industry.

However, VeryDarkMan maintained his position and emphasised that the actors were attacking him because they felt guilty about what he had said.

Big Brother Naija “All Stars” winner, Ilebaye Odiniya, has denied claims by her colleagues that she engaged in fetish practices during her time in the Big Brother house.

Recall that fellow ex-housemate, Princess and CeeC had hinted that they saw Ilebaye wearing a cowry and communicating with a weird suspicious object.

In an interview with media personality Christy O, the Kogi-born model explained why she was talking to the cowries which she carries everywhere in memory of her late brother.

Ilebaye said that her primary motivation for being with the cowries was her need to cling to anything substantial that would serve as a reminder of her brother.

Christy O host asked; “There is a claim online where CeeC was saying that you had cowries that you were talking to. Can you tell me more about it?”

Super Eagles midfielder, John Ogu, has tackled Egyptian footballer Mohamed Salah over his call for humanitarian aid to be sent to Gaza immediately.

This comes amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine. On Tuesday, a massive explosion rocked a crowded hospital in Gaza city, killing hundreds of people.

While Palestinian authorities say the explosion was caused by an Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) airstrike, Jewish officials denied responsibility, claiming that it was caused by a ‘failed’ rocket launched by the terrorist group, Islamic Jihad.

Speaking on the incident, Salah described it as horrific and urged world leaders to provide humanitarian aid to Gaza because they are in a dire situation.

Salah in his message said:

“It’s not always easy to speak at a time like this. There has been too much violence and brutality, the escalation in recent weeks has been unbearable to witness.’

All lives are sacred and must be protected. The massacres need to stop, families are being torn apart.

What’s clear now is that humanitarian aid to Gaza must be allowed immediately. The people there are in terrible conditions. The scenes at the hospital last night were horrifying.

The people of Gaza need food, water, and medical supplies urgently. I am calling on world leaders to come together and prevent the slaughter of innocent souls. Humanity must prevail.”

In reaction to Salah’s message to the world, Ogu blasted him for staying silent when Hamas attacked, killed and abducted innocent Israelis at a festival earlier this month, which started the war.

Ogu, who plays for the Israeli club Maccabi Jaffa, also claimed that Egypt refused to accept some refugees amid the ongoing conflict, insinuating that Salah doesn’t have a right to speak on the issue.

FG to shut down third main land bridge in Lagos to udergo repairs, motorists advised to seek alternative routes

In a recent announcement, the Federal Government has declared the temporary closure of the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos for essential repair works.

The closure is scheduled to commence from midnight on Saturday, October 21, and will remain in effect until midnight on Sunday, October 22.

Mrs. Olukorede Kesha, the Federal Controller of Works in Lagos State, stated that the government is fully prepared to initiate comprehensive rehabilitation efforts on the bridge, starting with critical repairs of the deteriorated sections.

To address the ongoing challenges faced by motorists, the Ministry has planned palliative measures to alleviate the inconvenience caused.

In her statement, Kesha urged road users to cooperate with traffic management officials and adhere to all diversion instructions for smooth traffic flow.

While the palliative works are scheduled for Sunday, October 22, on the Adeniji bound carriageway, motorists are encouraged to consider alternative routes whenever possible during this period.

Consequently, the Adeniji bound of the bridge will be inaccessible from Saturday, October 21, until Sunday, October 22, at midnight.

As the closure approaches, it is essential for motorists and commuters to plan their journeys accordingly and make use of alternate routes to minimize disruptions.

The temporary closure of the Third Mainland Bridge serves as a proactive step in maintaining the integrity of Lagos’ transportation network, and the Ministry appreciates the public’s patience and understanding during this period of necessary maintenance.

In a very sorrowful report that has reached us, a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has been brutally killed in Kaduna state.

The University of Jos graduate, identified as Grace Chalya Silas, was reportedly stabbed to death by yet-to-be-identified assailants suspected to be armed robbers.

Although details of this tragic incident are still sketchy at the time of writing this report, it was gathered that she was robbed and murdered while jogging on the morning of Wednesday, October 18.

Meanwhile, friends and former schoolmates of the deceased have taken to Facebook to mourn her unfortunate demise.

Popular Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, better known as Odumodublvck has shocked Nigerians by disclosing why he turned down a request to meet superstar singer, Davido in 2019.

He clarified that Davido’s fanbase consists mainly of Afrobeats fans, and he felt that his music wouldn’t resonate with them.

In a recent interview with the CTRL Room, Odumodu said that he instead decided to concentrate on musicians that aligned with his vision.
