Lol! The trend of flaunting hard cash on social media seems to have made its way into a South African prison.
The Department of Correctional Services is investigating a security breach after a video of an inmate counting money in a cell went viral.
In the video‚ the inmate can be heard saying the R100 banknotes amount to R2 700 – “I am eating money my brother. I am not playing,” the offender tells his fellow inmate as he continued to count the notes.
The Correctional Services spokesman in Gauteng, Ofentse Morwane, said: “The department has noted with concern the video footage doing rounds on social media [showing] an offender counting money in a cell.”
He said the inmate had been identified and removed from a communal cell to a single cell while investigations continued.
The video has since grabbed attention of the prison bosses and they are not happy. The inmates are not allowed be in possession of cash under the prison’s policy.
A construction worker, identified simply as Ugochukwu from Abia State have reportedly committed suicide after drinking Sniper.
A Facebook User, Theresa Ugwuanyi who shared the story revealed that the deceased before committing suicide was cautioned by his work mates who saw him with a bottle of insecticides after he purchased it.
She wrote:
“This is a breaking story..40mins ago at Oyo street area 2 Garki Abuja
A young man named Ugochukwu from Abia state who works with a construction firm in Abuja yesterday got a bottle of Sniper.. his colleagues saw it and asked him what he was doing with a bottle of the insecticide . .he said he wanted to put it in the house to repel insects..they collected it from him that it wasn’t necessary..unknown to them he went back and got two more bottles of the insecticide and consumed it with a bottle of water..he slumped and died..most of his colleagues are crying and cursing the poor soul.. hope he finds rest where he is now.”
In an interview with News Express Nigeria, Late Biafran warlord Chief Odumegwu Ojukwu‘s son, Emeka Ojukwu Jnr. has alleged that his father was killed by his widow, Bianca.
The legal practitioner in the interview also talked about his father’s death, how his name and image have been abused, the role of his widow, Bianca and Anambra state politics.

Is that why you have chosen not to join Obiano in his campaign for the second tenure even when, according to my sources, he had severally invited and approached you to join him, and a lot of activities are ongoing during Ezeigbo’s (post-humous) birthday celebration?
“Yes, I am aware of the invitations and I shall take my time in choosing to take a stand with the candidate of my choice.
The truth is, I cannot go on a campaign with Obiano for one final reason, and that is because of some of the people he has chosen to associate himself with; people who speak from both sides of their mouth as long as it serves their own interests.
I know that you are aware of what Bianca has been saying and I do not want to associate myself with her. This is a woman who wants to create an impression that she loved Ezeigbo, but while Ezeigbo was sick she chose not to take care of him and rather pleased herself until she got tired of waiting for him to die.
She had made many disparaging remarks about former Governor Peter Obi in an attempt to curry favour with Obiano, forgetting that when Ezeigbo was gravely ill, Obi, with the help of his friends, was able to get a private jet and took my father to England so that he could get the medical attention he received.
She forgets also that it was Peter Obi and other well-meaning folks who were instrumental in persuading the then President Goodluck Jonathan to accord my father what was, in essence, a state funeral.
I remain grateful for what he did for Ezeigbo and for the family. Keep in mind that regardless of whatever support my father might have given to him, it was not mandatory that he extend himself in that manner. After all his name is Obi and not Ojukwu.”
Coming back to politics, for a minute, I remember that she was allied with the former Governor while he had problems with (Victor) Umeh, the former National Chairman of APGA. And now she is on the side of Umeh against Obi?
Your question itself speaks volumes. Perhaps, this seeming flip-flop is due to the expediency of the moment.
What I can tell you, again, is that it seems that at a point, it became expedient to her, for Ezeigbo’s treatment to be discontinued.
As far as I am concerned, I know a man must die sooner or later. But in the case of my father, but for her actions, he would not have died that day.
In fact, his remains were not immediately released to us until an investigation was conducted, because the circumstances of his death were deemed worthy of further investigation.
We were told that because he had been ill for so long, a specific cause of death could not be ascertained and the result of the investigation was therefore inconclusive.
But as far as we are concerned, she is directly responsible for Ezeigbo’s death. I wish to say that out so that my father’s spirit will allow me to rest.
And that is why I have refused to show up, in any event, to do with Obaino’s re-election campaign in which she features prominently.
I do not want to be associated with a person whose hands are soiled with blood.

Loneliness is deadlier than obesity and should be considered a public health risk, experts have warned.
Those with bad social connections have a 50 percent increased risk of early death compared to those with good social connections, a review of studies on loneliness suggests.
Researchers in the US looked at 218 studies into the health effects of loneliness and social isolation.
They discovered that social isolation raised a person’s risk of death by half compared to obesity, which raised the risk of death by just 30 percent.
Dr. Julianne Holt-Lunstad, lead author and professor of psychology at Brigham Young University, said: “Being connected to others socially is widely considered a fundamental human need, crucial to both well-being and survival.
“Extreme examples show infants in custodial care who lack human contact fail to thrive and often die, and indeed, social isolation or solitary confinement has been used as a form of punishment.
“Yet an increasing portion of the US population now experiences isolation regularly.”
Feeling lonely is thought to make people feel worse mentally and physically — and those who are lonely tend to suffer worse symptoms when they are unwell than those who aren’t.
A recent survey by Granset, the over-50s social networking site, found that almost three-quarters of older people in the UK are lonely and most have never spoken to someone about how they feel.
It also discovered that about 70 percent said their close friends and family would be surprised if they said they were lonely.
Recent Office of National Statistic stats show Britain is the loneliest country in Europe.
And, according to the Campaign to End Loneliness, the UK’s loneliness epidemic costs business $26 million per year for the costs associated with health outcomes and sick days.
Holt-Lunstad added: “There is robust evidence that social isolation and loneliness significantly increase risk for premature mortality, and the magnitude of the risk exceeds that of many leading health indicators.
“With an increasing aging population, the effect on public health is only anticipated to increase.
“Indeed, many nations around the world now suggest we are facing a ‘loneliness epidemic.’
“The challenge we face now is what can be done about it.”
She suggested greater priority be placed on research and resources to tackle loneliness such as social skills for children in schools.
Previous research has suggested that solitary adults reported much more severe symptoms when they were unwell.
A study by Rice University in Texas found that, while they were no more likely to catch a cold, lonely adults felt far worse when they did.
Experts said GPs should factor in a patient’s social circumstances when treating them.

We had just closed from Friday church service, some were having some discussions with the pastor on our way home. Before we knew it, someone gripped me and another by our waist belts. It’s the police.

The next thing is that they brought out and used baton to brutalize my knees and ankles while the other was slapping me.
I have never had a police case and I’m suffering this much for serving this country.
OC Ukeje has been married to Ibukun Togonu-Bickersteth since 2014. Despite the fact that the couple live apart, it has not affected their union. Ibukun is based in Canada while OC resides mostly in Nigeria.
The actor told Sunday Scoop, “Before we got married, we had the conversations about distance. We keep in touch so that we know what we are both up to. Communication is vital in every relationship. Posts that complicate his personality Proudly styling himself the ‘baddest bitch’ and ‘Miss Bobrisky’, he was obviously ruffling the hornet’s nest. Throwing caution to the wind with reckless abandon, he once claimed to squirt for his mysterious lover who he boasts is Africa’s fourth richest man, a sexual feat most women rarely experience.
After the death of popular gay Congolese, Paul Arduad, who died after a long battle with anal cancer, Bobrisky schooled the public on how to be a successful homosexual.
He also made controversial remarks about ladies who have all the feminine endowments and are yet to have a ‘Bae’ that is rich enough to give them seven million naira and get them a house in Lekki, something he claimed to have gotten on a platter of gold.
He has also declared in a post on Snapchat, how he is going to be a beautiful bride to his mystery Bae, boasting he is a ‘billionaire’s wife’ after he posed with a 1.8million naira worth of necklace.
With his recent declaration that he is gay, it is hard to argue if it’s all been a business strategy or he is actually gay.
Messes he created along the way Irrespective of whose ox is gored; Bobrisky has earned a reputation for fighting dirty on social media.
Bobrisky versus Toyin Lawani
Bobrisky was recently arrested in Lagos and has linked his arrest to fashion entrepreneur, Toyin Lawani. The duo used to be good friends until recently when they had a fall out. Toyin made a post on Instagram sometime ago and Bobrisky who is famous for not letting whoever speaks bad of him go easily, dragged the CEO of Tiannah Empire mercilessly all over Snapchat.
Speaking to LIB, Bobrisky said Toyin directed her lawyer to write a petition against him for refusing to apologize after he insulted her on social media and also accused him of selling creams to her customers.
“Toyin Lawani asked her lawyer to write petitions against me that I worked for her and I’m selling creams to all her customers, which is a fat lie. I never worked for Toyin, She was my friend. I can’t remember ever working for Toyin or learning how to make creams from her” he said.

Media personality, Denrele Edun, has always claimed to be the pioneer male cross-dresser but he has always been compared to Bobrisky since the latter surfaced on social media. Denrele has often kept mum regarding posts comparing him to Bobrisky until he replied a twitter user who said Bobrisky has kicked him out of stardom.

In reaction, Daddy Freeze, as he is commonly referred to, fired back at Bobrisky, calling him a used tampon, a bleached brain and an inanimate object.

Erstwhile singer turned comedian, Tunde Ednut, has been in a love-hate relationship with Bobrisky for a while now, as they both find pleasure in dragging each other out on social media. Tunde being a social media curator of funny things is fond of mocking Bobrisky. He once uploaded videos that showed Bobrisky’s famous ‘mansion’ being emptied and claimed the owner of the house had ejected him because his rent had expired.
Bobrisky clapped back at Tunde revealing that the singer once asked him out. The battle of mockery continued endlessly because Tunde Ednut recently mocked him on social media saying Bobrisky has body odour.

The Nigerian Police Force was ranked the worst in the World. The report was obtained from the 2016 World Internal Security & Police Index, where Nigeria was ranked with the worst Police system in the world.
The report places the Singapore Police Force as the best in the world followed by Finland, and then Denmark. Nigeria’s police force is ranked worst on the index followed by DR Congo, Kenya, Uganda and Pakistan. Countries with protracted civil conflicts were not ranked on the index.

The attention of the Nigeria Police Force has been drawn to The Cable News Online of today, 10th November, 2017 captioned “NIGERIA POLICE RATED WORST IN THE WORLD”, on the 2016 World Internal Security and Police Index (WISPI) credited to two (2) bodies, The International Police Association and the Institute for Economics and Peace. The report claimed to have measured the ability of the Police to address Internal Security Issues in 127 Countries in four (4) key areas of Capacity, Process, Legitimacy and Outcomes.
2. The Nigeria Police Force after a careful study of the report and the news items emanating from it, wishes to state categorically that the report is entirely misleading, a clear misrepresentation of facts and figures and essentially unempirical, considering the area of coverage of the report which was said to have been carried out in 2016 by the above mentioned associations.
3. The report did not take into cognisance the significant improvement in the areas of Capacity Building, Training and Re-training of the entire personnel of the Force as provided for by the current Federal Government of Nigeria and other Foreign and Local NGOs which has greatly improved the efficiency and service delivery of the personnel of the Force throughout the country.
4. It is pertinent to state that the instruments used to evaluate the performance of the Force vis-à-vis that of other countries is absolutely incorrect and grossly inadequate and therefore a plain distortion of facts and figures. The strength of about Three Hundred and Seventy Thousand (370,000) Police Personnel in the country stands at around One (1) Policeman to less than Six Hundred (600) people in a population estimates of One Hundred and Eighty Millions (180,000,000) Nigerians.
5. It is equally significant to state that the current recruitment of additional Ten Thousand (10,000) Police Personnel into the Force by the Federal Government of Nigeria and the request by the Inspector General of Police to Government for approval of the recruitment of Thirty One Thousand (31,000) Police Personnel yearly for a period of 5years will definitely increase the strength of the Force to meet up with the UN ratio of One (1) Policeman to Four Hundred (400) citizens.
6. Furthermore, in the UN Peace Keeping System, the Nigeria Police Force is rated as the best in UN Peace keeping operations in the world. This clearly shows that the Nigeria Police Force is not and cannot be the worst in the world under any known scientific yardstick or measuring instrument.
7. Currently, the Nigeria Police Force is one of the only two African Delegates representing the whole of Africa continent on the executive committee of Interpol, a position the Force attained based on high performance, merit and sustained good track records.
8. For avoidance of doubt, since the inception of the present Police administration in July 2016, the Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim K. Idris NPM, mni, he has introduced and implemented diverse internal reforms aimed at improving capacity building and efficient service delivery of the personnel of the Force, which is yielding positive results in the standardization of the capability of the Nigeria Police Force to deal with violent crimes and terrorism throughout the country. The establishment and take-off of a world class Terrorism Investigation Bureau for the Force with state-of-the-art equipment and technical support from foreign partners has greatly improved the capacity of the Force to deal with threats posed to internal security in this regard.
9. However, it must be pointed out that the Nigeria Police Force sees the report as a clear demonstration of mischief, ignorance and calculated attempt to distort the feat being recorded by the Force in ensuring adequate security and safety of Nigerians. Nowhere in the report were references made to either the improved capacity or achievements recorded by the Nigeria Police Force across the country in the recent time, the Force therefore implores all Nigerians and international community to disregard the report as unfounded and misleading.
10. The renewed determination of the Force to adhere to Internal Police Reforms for greater efficiency in service delivery and conform to standard principles, building trust and confidence in the citizenry for their safety remain unequivocal and unwavering.

Okay talking about mum, how does she feel about the pregnancy?
“My mum, she used to be so big on marriage, she was very traditional, marriage then baby, until I got pregnant, it’s like everything changed, I guess your priority obviously changes to something else. She is now more concerned about the Baby”. She brushes a strand of hair out of her eyes.
She doesn’t pressure me anymore with marriage you know, like its not like I am engaged or married or anything, it’s just that when it happens, it happens. As a woman you cannot marry yourself.
She also spoke about how she met a guy in London, they dated, and he proposed to her, she said yes of course, but then, he wanted her to move to London, but she couldn’t, because “she had nothing she was doing in the UK”.
The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, has said he is free to date any policewoman of his choice as there is no law stopping him from doing this.
Idris challenged the lawmaker representing Bauchi Central Senatorial District, Senator Isa Misau, who accused him of having an affair with a junior female colleague, to prove him otherwise.
This was made known via a written defence presented through his lawyer, Dr. Alex Iziyon (SAN), to the Senate ad-hoc committee investigating the allegations against him by the senator.
SUNDAY PUNCH got a copy of the written defence, where the allegations against the IG were listed in six categories and responded to.
Idris asked the senator to cite a section of the law that prevents him from having romantic relationship with a policewoman.
The police boss recalled that Misau’s father married the lawmaker’s mother while in service.
On the allegation that Idris was having affairs with two female officers who also got questionable promotions as a result, Iziyon said, “This allegation is laughable and showed lack of understanding of the provisions of the Police Act and regulation.”
The Inspector-General of Police challenged the senator to cite the section of the Police Act and Regulation which forbids a police officer from marrying another police officer.
He said,
“Until he brings such section of the Police Act, it will amount to discussing the Inspector-General of Police’s private life, which ordinarily should not have been entertained on the floor of the Senate.

A police officer on Friday, wounded a soldier during a fight at the automated teller machine (ATM) at a bank in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital.
DAILY POST gathered that trouble ensued when the soldier, who was in uniform came to make withdrawal, but did not want to follow the queue.

The Former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has said he is under intense pressure to contest in the 2019 Election.

A popular Pastor in Ghana, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, the General Overseer and Founder of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, has brought in another dimension to the general belief by Christians that Jesus Christ is the son of God by saying He is fake.
Rev. Bempah who is seen as one of the most controversial religious figures in that West African country made the shocking declaration in an interview with a television station, Kofi TV when he said Jesus Christ is not the son of God and is fake.
In the exclusive interview, the very outspoken man of God insisted that the real name of the son of God who came to die to save the world is ‘Yeshua HaMashiach’ and that Jesus Christ was an impostor.
In his words, Yeshua means ‘Salvation’ while HaMashiach means ‘The Anointed One’, wondering how Christians all over the world have been hoodwinked to think Jesus is the true son of God when in fact, he is not.
Rev. Bempah maintained that ‘Jesus of Nazareth, the man we read about in history books and in the New Testament, was merely a fabrication of first-century Romans, who created his gospels as a way to quell the messianic fervor of the Jews’.
He further stated that Jesus was just a tool of psychological warfare used by the then Roman emperor, Constantine, to get the Jews to stop causing trouble and love their Roman overlords.

Rev. Bempah conceded there are many contradictions in the Bible due to translation but that he knows the truth and is all out to liberate humanity.
According to Rev. Bempah, the real son of God is called Yeshua Hamashiach and not Jesus Christ as many Christian leaders want their followers to believe.
“Yeshua Hamashiach was given birth to by a woman on earth and was crucified by Plato and rose from the grave the third day into the skies with the hope that he will return same as prophesied by angels.
He is called the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. Jesus Christ is not the name of the son of God. There was this man who came called Nero who was killing the followers of Jesus’ Christians who were not even called Christians but Nazarenes,” he opined.
He added that miracles happen when pastors mention the name of Jesus because they operate with the spirit of Yeshua HaMashiach, stressing that Yeshua HaMashiach is the name forever known in Heaven, and must thus be accepted by all, especially believers on Earth.

Expectedly, artiste, Eedris Abdulkareem, wasn’t going to keep quiet when Tuface Idibia called him out via his social media handle earlier in the week as he (Eedris) has blasted the singer, claiming he influenced Tuface’s growth in the industry.
Tuface had, in a series of tweets, responded to Eedris’ rants a few weeks ago, where he said Tuface should have helped his former label mate, Blackface, to rise again in the industry.

Liberian President, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, was in Imo state yesterday, and a statue of her was unveiled in the state. Not only that, the Governor, Okorocha named a road after her, and also crowned her with a chieftaincy title.
Now, Sirleaf has reacted to the honor and love she got in Imo state, she says she hopes her statue which was built by the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, will serve as an inspiration to young girls and women in Nigeria and Africa that they can reach their potential.
The Harvard graduate who is the first female president in Africa while acknowledging the statue after its unveiling, said;
“I hope that this statue and the other honors I received today, would serve as a great aspiration to the young girls, to the women, to know that we can reach our potentials. Folks immediately started questioning Tonto’s newly found faith, if she is indeed truly born again, while Kokun’s loyalty as a friend to Tonto was subsequently questioned more.

A number of people believed Kokun could have tried to talk to Tonto about her unhealthy hatred rather than snitch on her despite their closeness and friendship!
