In a viral video he posted during the weekend, he admits that even though he has deposited money for the surgery, he’s scared to go for it and need Nigerians prayer for successful operation.
Looks like we are yet to hear the last of acclaimed, most brilliant kidnap kingpin Chukwudidumeme Onuamadike, aka Evans, following his starling revelation that some members of his strike team were serving security agents.

It’s apparent that the year is going quite well for Daddy Yo as he continues to rake in international awards – last night, the sweet love singer beat 7 other contenders, including west African hits, Davido, Mr. Eazi and Tekno, to win this year’s BET Best International Act: Africa Awards at a pre-BET Awards show in Los Angeles.
This new accolade follows just weeks after the star brought home three Billboard Music Awards plaques for his collaborative song, One Dance with Drake.
Shortly after he was announced the BET winner, he tweeted a hilarious yet narcissistic posts about how far he has come and how he won’t stop loving himself.
Nigerian music mogul, D’Banj, is not here to play with y’all millennials and be sure that if y’all need some spanking and some whooping, he’s ready to give you that discipline!
Yesterday, Mr Endowed took to his Twitter to share that he would be holding a BET pre-album listening party in Los Angeles – with some of his many fans having somethings to say, one troll felt he’d display premium foolishness by insulting the music icon.
See what he, who apparently is a Wizkid fan, said:
Respected artist buh disgraceful to hear and watch yo new song mate. Poor song. Wizkid would never hv dt kinda song even in his grave
But the Koko master would not have some kid speak to him that way, he schools him and even tells him that Wizkid himself would not say that kinda thing!
Dear Son… your opinion was never sought. My song, My page… Shut up and take several seats back. Even @wizkidayo won't say this trash! https://t.co/GBCuA5WeSs
And truthfully, Daddy Yo would not do such, prolly only if he’s high on Oshodi weed though – In April this year, the Come closer crooner flipped after TV station MTV Base compared him to D’banj in a disgraceful Twitter poll.
“So disappointed in y’all for bringing this up. After everything king Dbanj done in the game?!! Pls show respect!” Wizkid slammed the music station and the offensive comparison was immediately taken down.
Hope that troll has learnt his lesson not to disrespect his elders though…
We brought you reports yesterday, about the couple who were attacked at the Idioro area of Ogijo, Ikorodu town in Lagos, Badoo cult group.

After several calls and bangs, there door was forced open and there, the battered remains of the couple was found lying on the floor. Just by their remains, was a grinding stone, the trademark of any killing done by the cult members.
The remains of the coupe to deposited at a morgue in Sagamu while the grinding stone was taken to Ogijo Division for further investigations.
Residents of the area later took to the street to stage a protest over the recurring attacks carried out by the cult group members.
Popular Nollywood Actress, and mother of two, Mercy Johnson caused quite a stir of recent, when she twerked on stage while hosting a GLO Mega Concert in Anambra State, alongside Juliet Ibrahim.
The video of course, went viral and while many of her fans commended her dancing skills, some argued that she shouldn’t have done that considering her status as a married woman.
In a chat with Sunday Scoop, she defended her action saying;
“I was only having a good time on stage doing my job. I was the host of the show and we have been to different cities thrilling fans. Is it a crime for me to dance on stage because I’m a married woman? I wonder why people like to take things out of context. Anyway my husband is not complaining, so I don’t see why anybody else should be bothered about it.”
The Catholic Relief Services (CRS) in Ghana has disclosed that about 98 percent of women between the ages of 15 to 49 get pregnant by accident.
According to a representative of CRS, Kris Ozar, he said lack of inadequate support from husbands and also perceived fear of the side effects associated with the use of modern contraception had been some of the causes of the unplanned pregnancies.
He disclosed this during a recent dissemination workshop on Strengthening Marriages and Relationships through Planning and Communications (SMART) couple and Fertility Awareness Method (FAM) project in Tamale.
The event was organised by CRS and the Ghana Health Service.
Mr. Ozar stated that about 50 percent of girls from the Sub-Saharan Africa countries marry and start childbearing during their adolescent ages with least resources and no decision-making power in the household, which affect the family well-being.
The SMART project implemented in West Mamprusi in the Northern Region and the Nabdam District in the Upper East Region was to train couples on better ways to communicate and to adopt joint decision making on family planning.
Mr. Andrews Asamoah, the Project Manager for SMART Couples, said couples who adopted the new behaviours and communication techniques were better and able to plan to improve their health and well-being of their entire family.
He said the SMART Couples Project had helped the young couples and demonstrated the highest improvements in gender relations and dynamics, male involvement in child health, birth-spacing and joined in health decision-making.
Catholic Relief Services is a humanitarian aid organisation, which helps the poor and vulnerable by responding to major emergencies and also helps to fight hunger and disease.
Popular comedian, Francis Agoda, aka I Go Dye, was recently in the news when he announced that he had built a mansion for his mother.
The formal opening of the house was attended by personalities like former governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole; Deputy Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebe; Apostle Johnson Suleiman, among others.
In an exclusive chat with Sunday Scoop, the rib-cracker spoke on the real reason he constructed the house, which he nicknamed the ‘Golden Eyes Mansion.’
“It had always been a longtime dream of mine because I feel that our mothers deserve so much from us, considering the hard times the African woman goes through for her children. I just felt that was my only way to encourage our mothers to keep investing in their children, irrespective of whatever circumstances they find themselves. The Golden Eyes is a gift of hope to all mothers that someday, they will smile for being there for their children,” he said.
On how long it took him to build the house, he said, “It took a while to build because I wanted it to be of good quality.”
Speaking on the recent African Child award he received alongside former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, he said,
“I really didn’t have an idea of the award till I was informed that I was nominated. I had to find out more about it and its standard. Then I discovered that it took a voting process to select the recipients and that allayed my worries about its credibility. It is wonderful to be acknowledged that one’s life and creativity has inspired many people to believe in their dreams, regardless of their parental background. I feel privileged to be bestowed with the Africa Child Prize award; it gives me more reasons to hope and pray that many young children out there on the street from poor backgrounds would enjoy this special grace that God has vested in me.”
The comedian revealed that as a young boy, he used to invent electrical components just to make sure that he did something worthwhile with his time and rise beyond his poor background then.
He also stated that apart from being a comedian, he has a construction and property development company.
Nigerian High-life singer, Flavour says he’s still searching for a God-fearing woman, even after he has 2 babymamas.
In a new chat with Punch, the singer who has two daughters with two different women, both former beauty queens, revealed what he’s searching for in a woman, subtly driving home the point that the mothers of his daughters did not meet that criteria.
See the excerpt of his interview with Punch:
On being perceived as a sex symbol, he said:
It feels great and it is a motivation for me to keep working hard on my music and also my body. I visit the gym three times in a week even with my busy schedule. Though it is not easy, it is what I have to do.
On his relationship with his babymamas and daughters, he said:
I have a wonderful relationship with my children and I love them so much. I am also on good terms with their mothers and everything is fine.”
On the kind of woman he is searching for, he said:
I love a woman who is not fake; she has to be natural at all times. She has to be someone who knows the difference between Flavour and Chinedu. To cap it all, she must be God-fearing.
On the downside of stardom, he said:
Stardom has robbed me of a lot of things but I believe that, in life, there is no gain without pain. Ordinarily, I love to lead a simple life but that’s not possible anymore. As human beings, there could also be times that I’m dealing with some personal issues but people wouldn’t want to know. They would expect you to be smiling all the time; and if you don’t, they would accuse you of being proud and snobbish. But the beautiful thing is that I am living my dream.
A senior police officer, who arrested kidnap kingpin, Chukwudi Onuamadike, aka Evans, and members of his gang in 2006, shares the encounter with Gbenga Adeniji
How did you meet Evans?
There was a time in 2006 that a gang of robbers attacked a commercial bank in Lagos and went somewhere around the National Arts Theatre, Iganmu, to share the loot. While sharing the loot, the robbers had a disagreement and shot one another. Seven members of the gang died instantly. The then Divisional Police Officer of Iponri Police Station, Yahaya Bello, now a deputy commissioner of police, said there was a serious incident involving some persons who shot at one another. He said about three of them had been arrested.
What happened thereafter?
One of the members of the gang arrested then was Chukwudi Onuamadike, popularly known as Evans. If you look at his chest, I cannot remember whether it is the right or left side, there is a scar. It was as a result of the gunshot from his gang members that day. He bled and there was no way he could run away before the police came. The case was transferred to the Lagos State Anti-Robbery Squad. We investigated and discovered that they were armed robbers. Evans led the team. We also went to Mbidi Police Station, Imo State, to carry out an investigation on them. We were able to arrest two other members of the gang. We then had five of them in police custody.
Were you able to prosecute him?
There was a policewoman at the Band Section of the Police College, Lagos. She was known as Tina, a Superintendent of Police. She insisted that we should drop the case and that Onuamadike (Evans) was her brother. But when she was unable to achieve her aim, she travelled to Imo State. Not long after, we got a message from the Imo State Police Command that they had been searching for Evans and asked us to transfer the case to them so they could continue from where we stopped. Since that time, we did not hear anything. We heard he was later released there.
How did you know that he was the notorious kidnap kingpin arrested by the police not long ago?
I saw his pictures. I know the man we arrested alongside members of his gang in 2006. But one thing was that he was not bearing the alias, Evans, at the time. We identified him only as Chukwudi. Some of the persons we worked together on the case also called me to draw my attention to the fact that he was the one arrested.
Do you know if he was married at the time he was arrested for robbery?
I cannot say. You know that many criminals would be unwilling to share that part except we investigate.
Was Evans the only one released or other members were also set free then?
He couldn’t have been the only person released. The request was that we should transfer the case to them. We sent him and two members of his gang to the command. There is a hotel in Okota area where they used to meet to share their loot. The owner of the hotel was their friend. There was a time they robbed three banks in Alaba International Market in 2005. They also looted shops there. One of the owners of the shop complained to the police and we carried out an investigation. We discovered that some of the items stolen in the man’s shop were digital cameras. We traced the cameras to the hotel and into the office of the hotel owner. It was then that ‘big men’ started calling from everywhere that we should drop the charges against them. The owner of the hotel was later killed by the robbers, following a disagreement. His body was dumped by the roadside in one of the states in the East sometime ago.
What potential threat do you think Evans can constitute to the society if he finds his way out again?
He can form a terrorist group being a hardened criminal. We are talking about a man that would not release his victims until his exact ransom was paid.
How best do you think his case can be handled?
The best way to handle his case is for the police to do their work. They should do a proper investigation. If it will take four months to investigate him, they should do so. He has links in South Africa, Ghana, etc. I know him. Bank robbery and hijacking of bullion vans is easy for him and his gang members. He didn’t hesitate to shoot any member of his gang suspected of foul play.
But in his reported pleas, he gave a picture of being non-violent?
Forget about that. It is expected. No criminal would say he ever killed anybody, except after a thorough investigation has nailed him or her.
Why do you think he embraced kidnapping since you noted that he probably started as an armed robber?
I really cannot say because I have not seen him since we took him and his other members to Imo State. I think he only tried to adopt another criminal act he believed would fetch him more money. It is all about greed. He wanted more and more. He kept amassing wealth because he wanted to show off.
Editor’s Note: The policeman’s identity is concealed to protect him from persecution.

Nollywood teen star actress, Regina Daniels, is nothing to close to stopping when it comes to slaying her looks – the beautiful teenager looks as exuberant as can be in these lovely new photos.
The 16 year old actress recently featured in a new shoot looking alluring as usual in gold dashiki and you can tell she’s such a cutie.
Though still in jail, Joy Ugwu Nnenne, reigning Asaigbo pageant queen, is still as influential as one with ‘royalty’ – the beauty queen has reportedly become a star among fellow inmates at the Kirikiri Prison, Lagos, where she has been remanded by a magistrate court over alleged fraud.
The prisoners refer to her as “Queen”, due to the large number of visitors she played host to daily, while other times she is called “MMM”, an allusion to the charge that brought her to prison.
Saturday Sun on June 17, 2017, reported the case of Joy, the current beauty queen of Asaigbo pageantry, who is on remand in Kirikiri prison for allegedly fleecing Jonathan Nwogu, Anita Oby and others of N7million.
She was alleged to have resorted to hide-and-seek tactics after failing to secure a visa for Nwogu, after the latter reportedly paid a million naira to her. She is also accused of defrauding Oby of N2 million through a ponzi scheme called “Me and You” purportedly floated by the former.
The incarcerated beauty queen gave her side of the story in an exclusive interview when Saturday Sun visited her inside the Kirikiri female prison on Wednesday June 21. Debunking the allegations against her as false, she claimed her traducers, counting on her propensity to protect her social image, were out to intimidate her to quietly pay them and settle the matter.
Affirming her innocence, she emphasised she also lost money to the ponzi scheme, and that is the reason she is emboldened to exercise her civil right in opting for the court after spending three days in the cell at the State Crime Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba.
“I didn’t create the ‘Me and You scheme’, I was just a participant like her (Oby),” she insisted. “Do I look like someone who can do so, when I have not finished studying my Accounting?”
She went on:
“When they told me to pay up, I was reluctant because I didn’t see any crime in the scheme. I can only be guilty if I created the scheme, which I didn’t. I told them that I could only pay back if they try to get the person I paid to, one Emmanuel Madu. I paid him two million naira. I showed them the transfer record, it is a recycled process.”
She pointed out the inconsistency in the charges against her at the court:
“When I got to court, I was arraigned for N2m while I was arrested for a charge of N7m. I intend to battle this when I regain my freedom.”
On the visa fraud charge, her accuser, Nwogu had told Saturday Sun:
“The girl duped me one million naira and the evidence is there…What baffled me was the way she took the matter. It was quite obvious that she defrauded me.”
Joy Ugwu rebutted this as outright lie. On the day I was arrested, I confronted him, asking if he knew me before, but he didn’t. So, how did we do visa business? They were all participants in the Ponzi scheme. He happened to be on the losing side. Oby had vowed that she was going to deal with me if I don’t pay up because she is connected to the high and mighty.”
She went further: “They said something about the money in my account. The money belongs to people and I have paid them back. I don’t have any money to pay anybody.”
Queen among inmates
Being incarcerated did not diminish her. She is still radiant and has even acquired some popularity among the inmates. To both wardress and inmates, she is “Queen”––due to the number of visitors she has daily–– or “MMM”, in reference to the circumstances that brought her into the prison. As she walked away from the reporter, a group of friends crowded around her demanding to know what news she brought from her visitation.
“She is a nice girl. I don’t think anybody has any complaint about her,” an anonymous inmate told Saturday Sun.
Why we won’t dethrone her
Saturday Sun also contacted Mike Akubueze, the organiser of Asaigbo pageantry, for his view on the development.
According to him, as long as she didn’t commit any crime in the name of the pageantry, Joy Nnenne Ugwu would still be paraded as their queen.
According to him:
“What she did was her personal business. She didn’t commit crime with Asaigbo. We are not involved with anything she does with her personal life. She is 18 years. We don’t monitor our queens.”
Also saying her accusers are capitalising on her social status to intimidate her, he said: “Joy didn’t commit any crime. Everybody did MMM, including even me. So, she is entitled to do a personal business.”
He reiterated: “We won’t dethrone her. Until the case is concluded, she is still Asaigbo queen. Even after that, we would undertake our own investigation.”
It is expected that Joy Ugwu will be freed soon since the delay of her bail was due to the absence of the magistrate in charge of her case, who went on a casual leave.

So after some serious investigation online, it’s been discovered that Mr Songz has presumably lied about the birth of his twins he announced few hours ago – he had earlier announced the birth of his twins he named Perez and Tarela.
Guess the names he gave to his kids (Perez and Tarela) may have sold him off but neh, maybe it’s the colour on the skin of the infants that did but hey, we can’t question Biology, it’s genetically possible to have that kinda situation.
Well, after some serious searching online, YBL discovered that the images the singer used as his are not actually his! One would definitely be skeptical after the seeing the quality of the images he shared though, durrh! ?? it’s your kids’ photos, so why are the images’s quality poor?!
See where the images originated from and be thrilled:

Although, some are saying that he didn’t mention that the kids were his… give us a break! Have you seen the #itsnotalie hash tag?! Pfft!???
Actress Omotola and mother of 4, is back to Nollywood following a three-year hiatus.
The delectable actress is set to debut in a new movie, titled “Alter Ego”, alongside Wole Ojo and Jide Kosoko.
Speaking with PREMIUM TIMES, Omotola opens up about her career, marriage and playing a controversial character in Alter Ego.
PT: You went off the scene for three years. Was this deliberate?
Omotola: Yes it was. I knew I was going to embark on a break so I starred in a few movies, which have not been released. I shot Blood on the Lagoon with Teco Benson, and another one in London called Amina, which are yet to be released. I got to that point when I felt like nothing was challenging me anymore and I began to feel like my standard was dropping. I went through that period and I knew I needed to stay away and wait for Nollywood to catch up with some of our ideas.
PT: Your fans can’t stop talking about your sex scenes in Alter Ego. Was your husband comfortable with you playing the role?
Omotola: Some of the sex scenes in Alter Ego were downplayed because I’m married. But I won’t play the sex scenes if it wasn’t necessary to be included in the film. I know by starring in this movie that my fans would either hate me or love me forever. While shooting the film, I knew I was doing something quite risky.
There are several ways to shoot a sex scene tastefully. I’m all for playing a sex scene convincingly and my husband knows this. I tell my husband,
“You know what darling, you married an actor”; and secondly, he is my biggest fan. I tell him, “Do you want me to be great or do you just want me to be good?” He will say, “I want you to be great, sparklingly great”. Then I’ll say, “Ehen, we go love o” and he’s fine with it. He understands but just like every other human being and the professional that he is, he too wants to be convinced that I played a sex scene because it was necessary. I know when he watches movies sometimes he would say, “Did they have to kiss if they were not going to kiss well?”
PT: You got pretty raunchy with your co-stars in your latest movie, Alter Ego. Are you ready for viewer’s criticisms?
Omotola: When I wasn’t even confident, I starred in a movie called a prostitute, which was released 22 years ago. If I didn’t die then, is it now? I’m ready.
PT: Playing a believable sex scene would mean going extra lengths. Do you think Nigerians will embrace such films?
Omotola: You don’t even have to “chop” somebody’s mouth if you don’t want to. If the scene is not about you showing real mad crazy love then you can’t now be showing mouth to mouth kissing or removing of clothes.
In Nigerian movies, we have downplayed chemistry. I hope we can bring that back. Back in the day when I shot Mortal Inheritance in 1995, I had to spend time with my co-star, Fred Amata. He was already a renowned director and in those days, directors were revered. So imagine, my director who had directed me in a movie prior now acting as my lover.
I was really afraid but we broke the ice by spending time with each other. So, he demystified himself and we had chemistry and you could tell. So, I’m hoping all of this returns to Nigerian movies. So, as professionals, we need to ask ourselves if it is necessary for a movie to have a sex scene and when it is, it should be done well.
PT: With regards to Alter Ego, how were you able to build some on-screen chemistry with your co-star, Wole Ojo?
Omotola: I was working with Wole Ojo for the first time, so we had to spend time together and we played very rough. I understand the power of being friends with your love interest in a movie so we became like a couple.
We ate together and basically just broke down the walls to make sure we were both comfortable with each other and have each other’s backs and interest at heart. So, it spilled into the movie without you even noticing.
PT: Alter Ego appears to be the first Nollywood movie to truly address Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Do you think it would appeal to the Nigerian Nollywood audience?
Omotola: We don’t talk about PTS that much in Nigeria, so, when you see someone that is mentally traumatised, the first thing that comes to your mind is, “this person is crazy!”. We don’t talk about depression in Nigeria. We don’t talk about how it affects children, especially those that have been abused.
When you ask a lot of adults, you might find out that some people have been abused as children. And if we want to tell ourselves the truth, how many of us were actually able to tell our parents about this?
In Africa, it’s always a taboo to say, “uncle, somebody touched me”. They will practically ask you one million questions. “What did you say to him? How were you sitting? What were you wearing?” As if it’s your fault, you become the victim. Alter Ego sets out to address how sexual abuse affects victims as kids and as adults.
Sometimes, you see people as adults behave in a certain way, but because we have not diagnosed this problem – because in Africa, you are either just crazy and should go to Yaba Left; but we don’t think about the fact that people actually have psychological trauma and that PTSD actually affect Africans. We think it’s an Oyibo disease.
PT: Why were you drawn to Alter Ego?
Omotola: It’s the soul of the movie. It must come quickly in a movie and must also be underlining throughout the film. Some come naturally while some don’t. The movie got me on time because I switch very quickly; so if I read through the first 10 pages of a movie script and I don’t get the story, I get bored. I loved the film from the beginning but it was a diamond in the rough. I knew what was lacking in it. So, I called the director and told him we will have to tear the script apart and rebuild it and he gave me his nod. It takes a big mind to shoot Alter Ego.
