Ij cried out on Facebook.. Below is what she wrote:
I was matched with this guy whose image is attached on MMM. His name is Ezenagu Chukwudi, a student of caleb university. His phone number is 08154264497. I was supposed to pay him the sum of 308,000 but i mistakenly transferred 380,000 to his account.
He confirmed receiving the funds into his account and promised to send me the excess. That was all the money i had in my account and i was really hopeful.
Only for this guy to block my numbers from reaching him. Even his mother’s number that he used to call me when he hasnt confirmed my payment, i have also been barred from calling that number. Please help me spread this. Thank you.
This drama is happening right now on Jessica Taylor Omamuli’s Facebook page.

My wonderful family. Who am I without you guys. I love you all to the moon and stars. My husband got a job earlier this year in Ughelli delta state. We live in Lagos. Due to the job he moved down. It’s that time of the year when people around the world celebrate Christmas. But this year, it seems Nigerian celebrities are engrossed with work as recession bites deep.
JOAN OMIONAWELE speaks to some of them on their plans for Christmas. Their responses:
Kehinde Bankole: Christmas will still stand strong as we have made every other thing work. This year’s celebration will not be affected despite the fact that Nigeria has constantly been in some form of recession or the other before now through which we Nigerians have learnt to cut spending, thrive and strategise better and plan living conveniently as much as we could try. We still thank God.
Adekunle Gold: I have a lot of shows this year, I really don’t have special plans, it’s just work, work and work.
Juliet Ibrahim: I’ll be spending it with my family and having a swell time with them as usual.
Mercy Johnson: I will be busy filming my TV show, Mercy, marriage, cooking and kids and then I will also do my yearly charity work with my hubby while manning the homefront and kids in celebration of the birth of Christ. I also hope to make myself better, as well as my family and career in the coming year, with God on my mind at all times.
Gregory Ojefua: I’ll be busy working a few days before and after christmas. Most importantly. I’ll have to canvas for votes as I was nominated for best Actor for AMVCA 2017. I’ll also take time to rest and visit friends whom I have not seen in a while.
Ruth Kadiri: Wow, I never knew it was already Christmas, Ive been busy on set and busy with the production of my new movie, ‘Trouble comes to town’.
I really cannot wait for this year to come to an end. I’ll be working on set a day after Christmas, So I won’t say I have any holidays.
Toyin Aimakhu: -It’s going to be a working holiday for me. I have events lined up, movie shoots and premieres which would go on probably till new year’s eve.
Veteran actor, Jide Kosoko, hasn’t opened up so easily since the death of his wife, Henrietta, some months back. It may seem the actor is still mourning and even the controversies the death generated thereafter didn’t help matters.
And concerning the controversies especially the allegations from a social media strategist, Kemi Olunloyo, that she suspected that the actor was a ritualist because he had lost three wives, Kosoko said that Olunloyo only spoke her mind and she had a right to air her opinion.
He further said that it was a closed chapter because her father called him to apologise for his daughter’s utterance.
“I do not want to go to Kemi Olunloyo’s issue because the chapter is closed. I do not want to dwell much on it because when people approached me and informed me of what she was saying, I said she was entitled to her opinion. She was voicing out, what about those that would not say anything but in their mind, they would say that I have lost about three wives? They are only being human but the truth is that for Olunloyo, that is her opinion no matter how hurt I might have been with her utterances. By my nature, there was nothing I could do. But I appreciate her father who called me and apologised. He said some other things that I may not be able to share with the public.
“When she said all those things, I really did not reply because it is not in my nature and that time, I was mourning so her case was secondary. I am still mourning so there are very little things I want to say.”
It was also alleged that Kosoko didn’t pay the bride price of the late Henrietta. To that allegation he said, “I did not pay her bride price and she stayed with me for 22 years, does that not mean that something is wrong somewhere? The burial ceremony plans did not change suddenly. The plan since the day she died was that she would be buried in her hometown.
I told them that I wanted her to be buried in Lagos, it was a case of give and take and my famy be someone in the family who may think there is a foul play and would want to do anything to confirm one or two things, so I could not really stop them.
She belonged to all of us but more to me. I embrace peace and nothing happened at her hometown, it was a normal catholic burial,” he said.
“Forget about what people said. My late wife was ill and she died of complications which arose from diabetes. My friends, family and colleagues stood by me and I appreciate it. Of course, you will always have one or two persons that would say one or two negative things but in my life, I have fought so many wars and I have won all of them; so it is only someone who wants to be crushed that would confront me in war because almighty God has His plan for me. It is quite unfortunate that all these things are happening to me but I still thank almighty God because there are reasons for everything.”
Kosoko also disclosed that he still misses his late wife.
“I miss everything about her, yes, she was human and she had her flaws but I must confess I would miss her for so many things. She was my companion because we were in the same profession. She was not only my wife but we were in the same industry together. I still dream about her but it is mostly based on my imagination. How I hope she was still alive. I would miss her food because she was a fantastic cook.”
A couple married for 64 years spent their final few moments together clutching each other’s hands tightly before dying minutes apart in neighbouring hospital beds.
Dolores Winstead, 83, and husband Trent Winstead, 88, from Tennessee died in Nashville’s Saint Thomas West Hospital – five weeks short of their 64th wedding anniversary.
Only days earlier Dolores had been completely healthy when Trent was admitted over his failing kidneys.
They had been by each other’s side for six decades.
With their children Eddie and Sheryl, she watched over him as his condition worsened and he was moved to intensive care.
Then on December 7 Dolores suddenly began to complain of a headache and was taken ill.
It later transpired she had suffered a severe brain aneurysm – and needed to be connected to a ventilator as – in tandem with her husband – her condition began to deteriorate.
Hospital staff worked to get them placed in the same room – and the couple were pictured holding hands next to each other.
Dolores died first, with Trent blowing her a kiss when he was told she had passed before then dying himself a few hours later.
Sheryl told the Washington Post :
“Because she was gone, he just could not handle it. We just watched him die.
“I hadn’t thought about it this way at the time. (He) literally, he died of a broken heart.
“Never in a million years did I think I was going to come out of the hospital with neither one.”
As well as having two children, the couple had three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren
They originally met in the 1950s in Dickson County, Tennessee – marrying after Trent returned from fighting in the Korean War during which they exchanged love letters.
It would have been their 64th wedding anniversary on January 17.
The couple were buried side-by-side this week – Dolores in a pink coffin and Trent in a blue one.
The song ‘Love Remains’ by Hillary Scott was played at their funeral.
Its lyrics say: “A boy moves on, takes a bride. And she stands faithful, by his side.”
Reno Omokri yesterday, posted a very beautiful message to his followers.. He advised them not to buy Expensive cars instead they should buy bigger investments.
He also spoke about marriage.. he said that a wife material is a Lady that adds value to your life.. noting that sex isn’t value.
Below is what he wrote:
“When your salary increases, don’t buy a bigger car, instead, buy bigger investments. Cars grow older, investments grow bigger. Remember, the day your company doesn’t need you, they’ll sack you. Don’t wait for it. Start growing your business and sack them first. Finally, when you are ready for marriage, note that a wife material must be a lady who adds value to your life. To avoid ambiguity, sex is not value. Even a prostitute can provide that #RenosNuggets”
Scandals are common occurrences in the entertainment industry and Nigeria is not different. This year, there were a lot of scandals recorded, many of which made headlines for weeks.
Here is a list of the top scandals in the entertainment industry in 2016.
Don Jazzy Versus Olamide At The Headies
Scandals kicked off on the very first day of the year. At the 2015 Headies, which actually took place on the 1st of January, 2016, there was a lot of drama that led to two power houses in the Nigeria music scene going head to head.
The brouhaha started when Mavin artiste, Reekado Banks won the coveted Next Rated Artiste Category. This obviously didn’t go down well with Olamide whose YBNL artiste, Lil Kesh appeared a bigger favourite in the run up to the show to win the award.
Olamide used his time on stage to throw shade at the event organisers for not giving Lil Kesh the award. He said this while using profanities as he listed all the hit songs Lil Kesh had produced that year alone.
Not long after, Don Jazzy used his own opportunity on stage to get back at Olamide. He said, “Egbon Olamide, if you want the car, come and collect it.” Their war of words continued online where Olamide used Twitter to threaten Don Jazzy.
Days later, the whole fight was squashed, or at least made to look like it was. Billionaire, Aliko Dangote called up the two music titans and settled the rift. The two were seen taking pictures together.
Princess Hafsah Siddika Sanusi (daughter of Sarkin Kano His Highness Muhammad Sanusi II CON) today got married to her man, Abubakar Umaru Kurfi in a wedding that happened at her father’s palace and was attended by state governors and more dignitaries.
This is the moment the newly wedded cute couple posed for a photo in each other’s arms. See Photos Below:
The lady shared her story on break_or_makeup, telling stunned readers about her husband’s randy ways.
According to her, the man is so randy that he can sleep with anything wearing a skirt. This situation has gotten her completely enraged and embittered.
The worst part of the entire affair is that the man has gone ahead to get their own housegirl pregnant. She had to abort the pregnancy.
Not stopping there, the man proceeded to get her teenage neice pregnant as well. This last move of his is what broke the camel’s back.

Juliana says she doesn’t just act the part of sexual purity but in reality she actually is a virgin
She says, “I am a strong advocate of sexual purity! It goes beyond the screen for me, that is who I am in reality.
“Being a virgin is not ‘old school’, it’s actually trending and if sex, pornography, nudity, homosexuality and the likes can be discussed freely without apologies, why then should we be quiet about virginity and sexual purity?”

The following are my questions to the subscribers to MMM popularly called Mavrodians.
1. Where do you think the money you are collecting through MMM is coming from?
MMM claims not to be a business and not an investment, so where do you think the 30% return which excites you so much is coming from?
2. Do you know what a Ponzi scheme is?
I have to ask this question because of those who defend MMM with the claim that they have made money from it. To be the clear, a minority will make money from Ponzi schemes being the early adopters that help to create the exponential growth. However, the latter subscribers are the ones that lose greatly. If you understand this, you will not present this argument as evidence for MMM not being a fraud.
3. Where did you get the money you invested in MMM from?
You could not use that money in any legitimate business?
I ask this question because many MMM subscribers behave as if they were incapable of earning money before MMM came.
4. Is it that you don’t understand that governments across the world are duty-bound not to allow a Ponzi scheme started by an ex-convict that has scammed people across the world operate freely within their countries?
This one is self-explanatory, Sergey Mavrodi the main brain behind MMM is an ex-convict. He got convicted for scamming Russians with a precursor scheme to MMM.
5. Explain how MMM is a revolutionary idea that commercial banking should be afraid of?
MMM subcribers are quick to tag banks as stealing from their customers while MMM is the solution for the masses. Curiously enough, they pay into each other’s bank accounts; curious to say the least.
6. Do you understand that wealth is created based on the value you create not through this system operated by a few people to rob people of their money while leaving them in the lurch?
Let us say all of us joined MMM, where would productive output come from?
7. Did you anticipate that your ‘investment’ (sorry, your ‘Mavros’) could be frozen without you having any say on what happens next?
I am sure many ‘Mavrodians’ did not expect this December debacle, but we are here.
8. Do you agree that as a promoter of the scheme, you are quite dubious because you are seeking to reap bountifully at the expense of others when the scheme crashes?
Note I wrote ‘when’ not ‘if’
9. Do you not worry that you could have a hand in the death or grievous harm happening to people who could lose money from MMM and become suicidal?
We already have reports of some people taking poison because their money got frozen this December.
10. Do you understand that you are effectively using time that you could use for productive activity to promote a questionable scheme at best?
If you understand that time lost is irrecoverable, why waste it?
A 27-year old self-confessed cultist, Chibuike Samuel Ibenye has said that his greatest mistake in life was the day he joined Aiye secret cult with the false assurance that he will make money as a member.
Ibenye said it turned out that the group does not have such means to make him rich as his condition worsened and he ended up carrying loads for traders at market.
Ibenye was paraded by the police after he was arrested with arms such guns, axes, cutlasses, live ammunition loaded in the vehicle for an operation in Isashi area of Lagos.
An Orlu Imo State-born Ibenye revealed that when he realised that he had been deceived by joining the cult, he attempted to leave but was told it was impossible or he will pay the price with his blood.
He said all the hopes to become rich and promises made to him before he was initiated turned out to be fake, instead they sent him for supremacy fight between the rival cults in the area.
He said he had no visible means of livehood as he only squats in Isasi garage carry goods for customers while waiting for when their leader, identified as Fidel, will send them to the battlefield to fight opponents.
He said because of the cult, he had severed relationship with his family and when he ran into this trouble, his father who is a popular auto dealer refused to come for his rescue.
Ibenye, who claimed to be remorseful, said “if by the Grace of God, I was freed, I will change my entire lifestyle and live responsibly because I have learnt my lesson”.
Ibenye was arrested by the police with another member, Lekan Olawori after the police searched their vehicle and saw loads of weapons inside it.
Chibuike with co-suspect, Lekan.
They were initially arrested and suspected to be armed robbers but on further interrogation, it was discovered they are members of Aiye cult.
At the police command, where they were paraded, the Commissioner of Police. Mr Fatai Owoseni said they will be charged to court after investigation.
About two days ago, one Comfort Alaba, a Nigerian Customs Service Officer was kidnapped near an eatery on 22 Road, Festac Town in front of her children.
Her daughter Faith had immediately cried out on Twitter asking Nigerians and the police for help rescuing her mother (Here).
“We were at TFC at 22 road, FESTAC outside in the car and two men came around. My sister ran out of the car. My mother was still screaming and struggling when the other one pointed a gun at me. We ran away and by the time we looked back as we were screaming for help, they zoomed off with her insides. This is the plate number of the
black Murano jeep EPE103CY. God please don’t let my enemies laugh at me. She is everything to us.
They were two men and they were not wearing mask. I saw them at close range but I won’t be able to recognise them. I don’t know if anyone has any grudge against my mum. But I am appealing to them to please free her. Already, we have notified the police at Area E but nothing has been done so far to the best of our knowledge. However, we have not been contacted by the kidnappers.”
The good news now is that Mrs Comfort has been released by her abductors. Her daughter gave the update at about 10pm last night but didn’t reveal more about how her mother got released.
Instagram user, @kjvmusic took to his page to share how himself and his team were robbed by the Special Anti Robbery Squad in Lagos after they set out for an event last night.
He wrote:
“This is a warning to everyone and It’s also a step in the path to justice. Tonight at about 11:30pm, i and my team were headed for an event i was invited to on the island. we were all leaving from my sisters place which is at new oko oba. We had not gotten past one street after my sisters when our ride was blocked by a blue toyota big daddy with registeration number smk 517 bm. Out came 4 men carrying rifles branded with the nigerian police flag. They were all in civilian clothes, although their black polo tops had SARS printed on it. They weren’t wearing name tags too. Unidentifiable and maybe even untraceable, these men said we should get into their car without reason. When we resisted they started hitting us and that was when things became ugly. They used leg cuffs to hit us injuring my brother on the head, fired shots in the air as we struggled with them trying to scare people who were coming close to the scene to intervene. They also took a phone, jewelry (neck pieces and a wristwatch) from us then got into their car not returning any of the items they had taken initially. The problem with this incident is that these men, with the assurance that nothing will happen could have easily shot us dead or maimed us. I am employing people in authority to look into this division of the NPF. They can’t continue to treat people like animals. Unfortunatley we couldn’t take pictures or videos because they grabbed the first phone we pulled out to record the whole thing. All we have is a picture of my brother’s head injury and the plate number of the car they drove.”
Nollywood Film maker, Yomi Black’s wife, Liz John Black took to her Instagram to disclose that she breastfed her son for 14 months and also thanked God for giving her the strength to do it.
She shared a video breastfeeding him and wrote;
“I want to thank God for a wonderful year, it’s been very educating and enlightening. I thank God for the strength to breast-feed my baby for 14 months. I thank God for my family and my friends, my business and career. #Thankgod #BeGrateful #TheImportantThingsOfLife”
Following the delay in releasing the autopsy report, by the state police command barely six months after the mysterious death of the children, the elders of the community, might exhume the six dead bodies for more investigations to be carried out.
Facts had emerged recently that homicide detectives from the State Criminal Investigations Department, SCID, Awka, collected the samples of the tissues of the deceased persons before their burial.
Some elders of the community, who spoke on the matter, confirmed that they were yet to see the police autopsy result and, therefore, might request for the exhumation of the bodies.
