A 20-year-old man, who lures children into his room with kids cartoon television shows on cable network, and then rape them, has been apprehended by the police in Egbeda area of Lagos State.
Upon interrogation, he blamed the devil for his act. The suspect, Bassey Johnson, who hails from Akwa Ibom State, met his waterloo when one of his victims, a four-year-old girl, complained of pains in her private parts to her mother.
During interrogation, the toddler mentioned Johnson’s name, consequent upon which her parents invited the police. When interrogated, Johnson, who just concluded his apprenticeship in welding, said:
“This is the devil’s handwork. I am indeed very sorry for my action. I did not know that the offence is this grave.
When I came back from an outing on Saturday, I tuned my television set to a cartoon station. Immediately, the children in the compound heard the sound, they rushed inside to watch. I took my clothes, which I had washed the previous day, to the line and when I came back, I sat on the bed and carried one of the children on my lap. That is how I do it.
After some time, as my conscience started pricking me, I dropped her. The children later went out when there was power cut. But the child’s mother later called me and asked what I did to her daughter. I opened up but maintained that I did not penetrate.”
According to Vanguard, the clinical check on the girl revealed that her hymen was broken, indicating that there was penetration. The suspect, according to his parents, had been transferred from Egbeda Division to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, SCIID, Yaba.

He was said to have received a call from one of the operatives who had been waiting for him. And as soon as he stepped out of the gate, he was asked if indeed he was Kalu Ikeagwu, and he confirmed his identity.
He was politely invited, but was about arguing with them when they brought out their guns. Neighbours who had tried to step in, stood back as soon as they saw the guns. He was ferried away in a bus.
By the time they left, his wife was crying. When he returned, he went round neighbours to thank them and also explain what actually happened.

A management expert, Dr. Peter Kwembe, has assured that Nigerians would celebrate President Muhammadu Buhari by second quarter of next year if they give his economic policy a chance to survive.
Kwembe, who expressed optimism that there would be light at the end of the tunnel, advised Nigerians to stop pressurizing President Buhari to dismiss his policies of economic diversification.
“I wish to advise Nigerians to shun politics and cooperate with Buhari to lay solid foundation for our country for the benefits of generations yet unborn.

A Kenyan man is currently suffering trauma after reportedly discovering that his wife bewitched him with a ‘locked penis’ charm over cheating claims.
Victor Wekesa who lives with his family in the Kanduyi, Bungoma county area of the country, claims his wife bewitched him with juju as punishment following his several sex escapades with other women.
As a result, he can no longer get an erection with any other woman, except his wife. When with the 36-year-old is with his wife, he performs perfectly well.
According to Tuko, Wekesa’s wife reportedly left him due to his philandering behaviour and only visits once in a while, during which the two enjoy great sex.
“I miss that woman so much because no other one satisfies me like her. Whenever she visits, I always feel like I am in heaven, we spend the better part of day in bed and only step out to eat, drink or stretch,” he narrated.

Dapper looking Nigerian rapper and businessman, Chukie Edozien, better known by his stage name, Lynxxx says he sang shallow songs in the past to please fans and satisfy a demanding music industry.
In a recent interview with BBC Focus on Africa, Lynxxx said that he was not fulfilled with the music he was previously doing.
“I was unfulfilled with what I was doing content wise, the market wanted the same pool of subject matter which was money, alcohol and women. It gets boring especially for somebody like me that has a background of knowledge.
“It was as if I was limiting myself like I was giving only five percent of what I know to my audience. I decided to take a break to make sure I know why I am doing music and work on music that I personally believe in because music is art and nobody should tell me what to paint”, he said.
When asked if his fans or the industry was responsible for not getting the creative space he wanted, Lynxxx said:
“It’s a bit of both because I experimented with songs that were out of the norm and those songs were not as received as the shallow records.
“I think that at that point, that was what the listeners were looking to hear and right now, the industry is ready for real music because they have played that for so long that it has worn itself out.”“I still make hip hop, the difference is that the shallowness and immorality has been taken out. Daughter of the late NAFDAC pioneer, Dora Akunyili, Njideka Akunyili Crosby, is currently having a huge break in the art world abroad. According to new research, having sex could inspire some sort of divinity within us a greater sense of purpose, perhaps.
Researchers at Duke University say that sex could inspire a belief or an increased belief in God and religion. Sex releases something called oxytocin. It’s also known as the “hug hormone” and “cuddle chemical”, as it plays a crucial role in love and affection.
Oxytocin occurs naturally within us and is stimulated during sex, childbirth, and breastfeeding. For a long time the chemical has been known to promote social bonding, trust, and even altruism.
Now, scientists at the North Carolina university in America say it could also incite spirituality in men too.
Research assistant, Professor Dr Patty Van Cappellen, says: “Spirituality and meditation have each been linked to health and well-being in previous research.
“We were interested in understanding biological factors that may enhance those spiritual experiences.
“Oxytocin appears to be part of the way our bodies support spiritual beliefs.”
According to the study, spotted by the Bath Chronicle , women produce more oxytocin then men, but Duke University hasn’t yet studied its affects on female godliness.
To test the chemical reaction in men, participants were given the hormone, and others received a placebo.
The men who got a dose of the “hug hormone” were more likely to say that spirituality was an important part of their lives. It had meaning.
They said so whether they’d previously noted that faith was a major aspect of their lives or not.
A heartless father has brutally raped and killed his daughter on her birthday.
The girl identified as Daizsa Bausby was preparing for her 19th birthday when the incident happened.
MTO reports that Police claim that her father Jerry K. Bausby murdered the young honor student.
The 40-year-old dad was arrested and charged for her death, according to court records.
According to reports, the girl was found strangled to death inside a Kansas City motel room. The father has been charged with the murder.
The 40-year-old Jerry Bausby appeared before a Jackson County judge, who entered a not guilty plea for Bausby, who is in the process of waiting for a defense attorney. His cash bond was set at $750,000.
Bausby was charged with murder in the first degree. He was also charged with sodomy, incest and sexual assault.
