In the wake of the recent development about MMM Nigeria and accounts being frozen till January 2017, some participants who had hopes of cashing out this December to have a sumptuous festive season are already regretting joining the scheme.
In a mail sent to Laila Ijeoma, a participant who claimed she put all her life savings in the scheme after much persuasion from friends, is shaken about the turn out of events.
According to her, the money she put in the money doubling scheme is not totally her money and it was a bid to make more before Christmas that made her join the scheme in November 24.
Read the mail below:
“Hello Laila, I am finished. It was only last 2 week that i decided to try this MMM thing since all my friends were making money from it. All along, i refused to do but everybody in my neighbourhood and church were doing and making money and christmas was coming and my husband is not making any move to give me money for the childrenns cloths and mine.
“I decided to put my 120 thousand and i was to collect 187 thousand by 24th of december because i have 3 referrals through my link only for me to wake up this morning to hear that the whole thing has crashed. Please. that is my life savings. even the woman that refereed me is crying too.
“I dont know what to do because part of that money belongs to my husband and some for my mother in law. please is there any lawyer or human right person in this blog to help me recover my money. I will give the person half of the money. please. i dont mind. I sent a message to Barrister Ugwuanyi of DPA but he has refused to reply. please help me. MMM has ruined me. i want to kill my self. I am going mad. the people that introduce me to this thing started since and has made some money. me na just last week i do my own. please help me.”
Please anybody who can help her should reach her on 08067678134 before she does something drastic.

God has yet proven himself to be my God AGAIN!!! Babes!! Guys!! This is Christmas season.. Shine your eyes!!! I arrived the market (Lagos island) At about 2:30pm this afternoon I got to Lagos Island. I needed to get some stuffs. On getting there.
An old woman kept following me.. She be like “my dear, keep your money very well. This is Lagos, thieves are everywhere ” I was telling her thank you as per good mother.. She also said I should hold part of the money I was with so even if my bag was snatched I have something to fall back to.. That was how I foolishly brought out the money from my bag.. She picked up a nylon.. Trying to help me tie my money.. In the course of doing that.. She swapped the money.. She tied paper with nylon.. Gave me the nylon that had paper and took my money.
I kept saying “ese ma” thank you in Yoruba.. As that was what we were conversing with… In less than two seconds.. I’m not ashamed to say I was alerted by the Holy Spirit.. I turned back and was looking at her.. ( I never knew my money was missing) immediately she opened her pant and brought out my money .. Dumbfounded I was… I ran in shock to my friends shop.. When I got there, I opened the nylon she gave to me at first.. Only to see that it was newspapers.. My brothers n sisters.. Biko help me thank this God… And please y’ll be watchful, anywhere you find yourself.. It’s only God love that is real??
The protesting Super Falcons have returned to their Agura Hotel, Abuja after the Presidency promised to pay the money owed them by the Nigeria Football Federation on Friday.
The female national team members who protested at the National Assembly gates on Wednesday morning with placards over the non-payment of their allowances by the Nigerian Football Federation, had some days ago, won the 10th African Women Cup of Nations, beating hosts Cameroon 1-0 in an explosive final in Yaounde.
Buhari’s Chief of Staff Abba Kyari met with the Super Falcons players and promised that they will be paid in two days (Twitter/Aderonke Bello )
It was a record eighth title for the Nigerian ladies who instead of being honoured and celebrated were ridiculed as their allowances were denied them forcing them to protest.
It is believed each player is entitled to about $25,000.
The girls, however, returned to their hotel after the Chief of Staff to President Buhari, Abba Kyari, addressed them and promised to offset their bills in two days.
Police were shocked when investigating two abandoned suitcases on a train to Vienna when they discovered two Afghan women stuffed inside them.
Romanian border patrol officers stationed in the town of Curtici entered the luggage compartment of the train which was travelling to the Austrian capital having become suspicious of the bags.
After deciding to open them, they found two women inside, who were trying to reach Austria illegally.
A spokesman for the police force, on the border of Hungary and Romania, said: ‘Following checks we have established that the two people in question are from Afghanistan, aged 25 and 59.’
They said that they had later also arrested a man from Afghanistan who had apparently run away when he spotted the police officers and was hiding in a different part of the train pretending to know nothing about with the suitcases.
The women told police they wanted to get into the Schengen area and had resorted to using suitcases because they did not have a valid visa.
Romanian police are now preparing a case against all three for attempting to illegally cross the state border.
It was not revealed what punishment they might face.

What really is going on?! Is the OAP just on some “Woman Crush Wednesday” or is he really being serious? Uche Agbai of City FM, just proposed to media personality, Toke Makinwa on Instagram!
He shared a photo of Toke Makinwa and wrote this message to her, asking her to marry him
“#WCW #SenseiStyle
Being a woman, whatever society she finds herself in, is hard. It’s not bad enough she has to deal with that time of the month every month or scream to the edge of death while bearing a child, she has to deal with cat calls (if she’s a hottie) or snide remarks (if otherwise).
And these difficulties are prevalent in Nigeria, especially in the media or entertainment industry.
Buy or build a plush house in a choice area and you’re called a prostitute who was done a favour by one big businessman or top government official. Put your life story in a book and sell, they will say you only did so just to make money.
You are almost never given a chance to air your views or live and enjoy your life without someone having something negative to say about you.
As I contemplated on writing this, I looked at all the qualities that I personally like in a woman: ambitious, intelligent, adventurous, focused, independent minded, beautiful, respectful; these are just a few. And I see all these traits in Toke Makinwa, who has been constantly vilified by people.
Despite being through so much adversity she has always found a way to turn it around for good, and that tenacity of her will is what many people do not see and appreciate. Even those who are close to her sometimes criticize her for being who she is: an ambitious woman with a strong drive to write her name in the sands of time.
However, no matter how much she has been hurt, Toke has always found a way to forgive and let go. That is another remarkable trait. A woman, no matter how successful, needs to be loved and cared for. And no matter her shortcomings, needs to be loved and cared for too. We all have flaws, but learning to love a person in spite of their flaws is a quality of those who truly love others, and it helps to fan the embers of any relationship.
Therefore, I have chosen to love the imperfections of a successful woman like Toke Makinwa, because she possesses qualities any reasonable man desires.
So Toke (@tokemakinwa) will you marry me? ☺”
He really sounds serious though! Can Toke please not respond privately but publicly too?!
Chiamaka Chuddy Ugorji wedded her husband Chuddy Ugorji in a lavish wedding that buzzed all over social media on Saturday, November 12, 2016.
MMM Nigeria froze its users’ accounts yesterday and she has reached out to participants in an open letter.
She wrote:
Fellow die hard participants
It is with calm and calculated mindset that I am writing to you, if I say I don’t feel your worries, I lie. The pause in MAVRO was necessary having in mind that it’s better to struggle in the morning and enjoy in the evening meaning it was necessary so we can still have a robust well structured MMM by JANUARY.
In times like this all we should do is restructure our budget plan and forge ahead in anticipation of a beautiful extraordinary January, goldsmiths strike the metal when very hot, it’s time to see the opportunity that is inherent in this situation and tap into it.
Furthermore I implore you all to be your brothers keeper, your downlines are practically your family, help calm their frail nerves, give them the hope they seek and for those that were dependent on the proceeds that was to come this December to enjoy the season, invite them to share in whatever you have so we all exhibit the bond that MMM ideology preaches.
You are all important and I want you to calm and trust the system.

*what do ladies that are dating and the fiancee promised them next December, what do they do? THEY WAIT!
* all the campaign promised that are promised to us and is to be fulfilled, what are we doing? WE ARE WAITING!
* most of us spent millions to get a certificate in various schools, yet no job, what are we doing? WE ARE WAITING!
THE COUNTRY HAVE TRAINED US TO ALWAYS WAIT.

Access into the National Assembly this morning is an Herculean task as all three entry gates have been shut by security operatives.
The action is preparatory to President Muhammadu Buhari’s anticipated visit to the National Assembly today to present the estimates of the 2017 budget to senators and members of the House of Representatives.
However, Buhari is still in the Gambia and there is an uncertainty that he will meet the scheduled 12pm appointment.
Members of staff have been denied access and all other organisations rendering services within the complex have been shut out.
Long queues of vehicles and crowds of anxious people are noticed along the entry points.
Members of the female football national team, the Super Falcons, have stormed the National Assembly, protesting the non-payment of their allowances by the Nigerian Football Federation.
The team won the 10th edition of the African Women championship just held in Cameroon.
It was the 8th time Nigeria won the competition.
But, the victorious team members have been held up in a hotel in Abuja, many days after they returned to the country with the trophy, owing to non-payment of their entitlements.
They protest daily on the streets of Abuja and have vowed never to leave the hotel until their allowances were paid.
The ladies are hoping that President Muhammadu Buhari, who is due to visit the National Assembly today to present the estimates of the 2017 budget to lawmakers, will see them and show pity on their plight.
Some of their placards read, “We are your children, pity us”; “Let us respect women”; “female football deserves respect.”
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has seized at least 12 properties from a former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Senator Bala Mohammed, and his son, Shamsudeen Bala, Punch reports.
It was learnt on Tuesday that the seizures were part of investigations into a controversial land swap deal carried out by the minister to the tune of N1tn between 2010 and 2015.
“So far, we have seized about 12 properties from Bala Mohammed and his son, who he used in buying many properties. However, this is just a tip of the iceberg because we found out that there are still a lot of properties to be recovered’’, a source in the EFCC said on Tuesday.
After investigations, we will arraign Bala (ex-minister) before an FCT High Court while his son will be arraigned before a Federal High Court anytime from now, the source added.”
Mohammed, who has been in EFCC custody for over six weeks, is alleged to have entered into some controversial land deals and allegedly gave some landed properties to his cronies for the construction of malls.
The source said, “We have evidence that the ex-minister diverted funds from Internally Generated Revenue. He also gave land arbitrarily to friends without following due process. Some of the land had even been allocated to other people but seized from them unjustly.”
Already, the commission has grilled a former Chairman of Skye Bank, Tunde Ayeni, who was also the Chairman of ASO Savings & Loans Plc over the purchase of the N7.5bn ASO Grove Estate at the Maitama area of Abuja by the bank through the ex-minister.
A detective in the EFCC, while speaking with Punch correspondent, alleged that the former minister was also a front for Mrs. Patience Jonathan, the wife of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan.
Mohammed became very close to the Jonathan family in 2009 when he called for the adoption of the doctrine of necessity when the then President Umaru Yar’Adua was critically ill and unable to perform his functions as President.
It was through this process that Yar’Adua was declared incapacitated and paved the way for the then Vice-President Jonathan to become the acting President and later President.
As FCT minister, Mohammed revoked the 1.84 hectares of land allocated to Yar’Adua’s wife, which was meant for her organisation, Women and Youth Empowerment Foundation.
The ex-minister then allocated the land to Patience for the construction of African First Ladies’ Peace Mission’s secretariat, stating that the move was in the interest of the public.
An FCT High Court, however, described the land grab as illegal and returned it to Mrs. Yar’Adua. A source at the EFCC, however, said there was evidence to show that the ex-minister had given other plots of land to Patience in a similar fashion.
“We have evidence to show that Bala Mohammed was a front for Patience Jonathan. He abused his position and used it to allocate land to her as well. Patience has several business interests in Abuja, including a hotel,” a source stated.
Patience has since written a petition to the House of Representatives, accusing the EFCC of harassing her and her associates.
In an interview with journalists in 2015, the ex-minister denied abusing his office, stating that he was loyal to the Jonathan family and was only helping Patience with her African First Ladies’ Peace Mission’s project by providing her with free land.
He had said,
“People say all sorts of things about my family: that I have stolen so and so billions; I have given plots of land to the first lady. People are always insinuating that the first lady has so much in the FCT and they are all lies.
“Most people talk this way because they want to see a situation to cause friction; an example is what happened with our support of the First Lady Mission.
It is an African Union initiative. It is not personal to the first lady, it is a global initiative, but some highly-placed Nigerians were insinuating that we were taking FCT resources to service the first lady. It is not so.”
The way she’s looking happy in the photos is somewhat contagious… It could make you happy too! The beautiful actress and mother of one looks as stunning as can be in this funky new make-up photos.
Nigerians were thrown into confusion today, Tuesday, December 13, 2016, after MMM Nigeria announced it was freezing its operations for the month of December.
With this state of uncertainty, there are new claims that a Nigerian is the mastermind of MMM Nigeria.
Last week, Pastor Ernest Mbanefo who is based in South Africa denied claims that he was the individual behind MMM Nigeria.
Now, a Twitter user Amadi Noel (@KingNoelC) claims that a Nigerian by the name Chuddy Anayo Ugorji as the man who is responsible for the entrance of MMM into Nigeria.
Chuddy Anayo and a woman named Ritta Richard identified in the Twitter thread as one of his partners (Twitter )
In his long Twitter thread made today, Amadi Noel stated that Chuddy Anayo Ugorji allegedly brought MMM into Nigeria in 2015.
He also claimed that he struck a deal with some Phillipinos to create “MMM Nigeria names”.
Amongst other things, Noel said Chuddy was a former member of MMM Global and has made over N5bn since the start of the Ponzi scheme in Nigeria.
Amadi Noel tweet chronicling Chuddy Anayo’s role in MMM Nigeria (Twitter )
According to the thread, the Ponzi scheme was done by Chuddy in collaboration with some white people in Dubai.
Chuddy tweeted the phone number of Chuddy Anayo Ugorji, his wife and other Nigerians he identified as the “cartel.”
Chuddy Anayo Ugorji was not available when Pulse contacted him but we were able to contact with his wife via phone.
Mrs Ugorji said that Russian and MMM Global founder Sergey Panteleevich Mavrodi was behind MMM in Nigeria. When Pulse asked to state if her husband is truly the brains behind the Ponzi scheme in Nigeria, she refused to answer and said we should keep calling her husband. “It’s best you hear from the horse’s mouth” she told Pulse exclusively today.
A quick look at Chuddy Ugorji’s Twitter account shows strong indications that he has some stake in MMM Nigeria even though his last tweet was on September 7, 2016.
Chuddy Anayo Ugorji’s lavish wedding reception
His YouTube channel features him making several presentations about MMM in several gatherings. The first video on the channel ‘Ideology of MMM’ was published on October 29, 2015.
A 25-year-old caterer identified as Rosemary Nnaife, who was allegedly bathed with acid by her ex-lover in the Lawanson, Surulere area of Lagos State, has demanded the prosecution of the suspect, identified only as Paul.
The Delta State indigene, whose face had been scarred by the acid, said since the incident, Paul had yet to be prosecuted. The victim explained that she had dated Paul for four years before the relationship ended due to abuse and violence.
She said she got into another relationship, which did not go down well with the suspect, who allegedly began sending threat messages to her and her new boyfriend.
The threat allegedly culminated in an acid bath after she was tricked out of her residence in the Abaranje, Ikotun area of the state.
Nnaife said she was rushed to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Surulere, by sympathisers, while Paul was arrested by policemen from the Itire division.
She said although the Directorate of Public Prosecutions ordered that the suspect be tried at the Lagos State High Court, the case was still pending.
She said,
“I dated Paul for four years and I loved him. But the problem was that he was always beating me. He also embarrassed me in the public, so I ended the relationship.
“I got another boyfriend and moved on with my life. But Paul was angry and he attacked me. He got my new boyfriend’s number and threatened him. He also threatened me. But I didn’t take the threats seriously.
“Some days later, an unknown number called me and when I picked it, it was a woman. She said she wanted me to bake cakes for her and I should come down to Surulere. We agreed to meet at Lawanson bus stop.
“When I got to the bus stop, somebody touched my shoulder from behind. When I turned around, I saw Paul. He then poured the acid on me and ran away.”
She added that the matter was reported to the police at the Itire division, and later transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba.
PUNCH Metro gathered that the suspect was arraigned by the police at the Ebute-Meta Chief Magistrate’s Court, where he was admitted to bail.
However, the case was said to have stalled.
Nnaife called for justice, saying she wanted the suspect to pay damages and bear the cost of a plastic surgery.
“He has been walking free, while I have been scarred for life. I want him to pay for this. I need the help of the government and the good people of Nigeria,” she added.
The Director of the Lagos State Public Advice Centre, Mrs. Tola Akinsanya, said the agency would revive the case to ensure there was diligent prosecution of the suspect.
She said,
“The woman was allegedly bathed with acid by her ex-boyfriend on June 3, 2015, and he was arrested and taken to a magistrate’s court. When the DPP’s advice was released, it ordered that the case should be transferred to the high court.
“Although we are aware the case has been filed, it has yet to be assigned to any court since last year. We are working with the Lagos State Office of the Public Defender to assemble a team of lawyers to represent her. We must ensure that she gets justice.”
Akinsanya explained that the agency would also make effort to get support from the state ministry of health for a plastic surgery for Nnaife.
There is palpable fear at the Federal Prison, Owerri, Imo State, over the escape of two inmates of the prison who are still serving jail terms.
According to a staff member of the prison, the inmates escaped from the prison by scaling the fence.
He said,
“The escapees took the advantage of the ongoing building construction in the male section of the facility to abscond. “I believe that the plan was hatched by the male inmates who were working at the construction site. “Their escape has caused serious panic in the prison. There are fears that heads will roll if the convicts are not found. They scaled the fence, while work was going on in the male section of the prison. We believe that most of the male prisoners planed and facilitated the escape.”
Punch reports prison authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the escape.
The national embarrassment occasioned by the inability of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to settle the allowances/salaries of the Super Falcons is set to reach new lows with reports that the team is set to march to the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday in continuation of their protest.
Nigerian football has been rocked by the raging dispute between the NFF and the Falcons since their record-extending eighth victory at the Africa Women Cup of Nations in Cameroon a fortnight ago.
The team has vowed to remain at the Agura Hotel, Abuja, until they are paid every entitlement due them, much to the consternation of football bosses.
AfricanFootball.com reports that one of the organisers of the planned protest, Aderonke Bello-Ogunleye, claimed the team were ready to carry placards and proceed on a peaceful protest to the State House, where the Federal Executive Council meeting will take place.
“This is unfortunately a regular occurrence to female football in Nigeria, we treat our victorious girls with disdain and total disrespect as all the time,” said Aderonke.
“It is inconceivable that the NFF/Federal Government are unwilling to pay the players their dues after winning the trophy. This has to stop and the girls must be paid their dues.
“We are going to protest the unfair treatment meted out to these champions who have won the tournament eight times, making them the most successful football team in Nigeria, and we hope the federal government will listen to their plea.”
In light of the raging saga, one wonders why any government would fold its hands and watch their dirty linen taken to the public.
President Buhari‘s beautiful daughter, Zahra Buhari will officially this Friday, be getting married to billionaire son, Ahmed Indimi.
In the Nation’s capital yesterday, she celebrated her bridal shower with a tea party theme. The event was planned by Alfa Showers with decor by The Wedding Guru in Abuja.
Cossy Ojiakor is catching a lot of flak on social media from Nigerians who feel she crossed the boundary by insulting the president.
Yesterday, the buxom actress shared the photo of President Buhari and Gambia’s Yahya Jammeh with a caption that caught many people’s attention.
“Our president is representing us well… Just looking at him….. his features reflects just how hungry and tired the Nigerian economy is,” Ms Ojiakor said, adding, “Pls pray for him to add just a little weight so he can look more handsome and maybe our economy will get better and more robust.”
And then she closed off the note with a claim that she simply was making bants. “Hahahaha just jokes ooo,” she said.
However, many Nigerians on Instagram found nothing funny with the caption. While many called her out for being insensitive and disrespectful, a lot more have noted her ignorance.
The actress had never been one to make political commentaries; her tendencies include baring her boobs on Independence Day, and urging folks to see sex as palliative to poverty. Now, she is making a daring statement and many people aren’t finding that funny
