Veteran Nollywood actor, Martins Njubuigbo, popularly referred to as Elder Maya who died in October, months after battling a liver-related ailment, is to be buried on January 3rd according to the obituary.
According to the victim, Ejomafuvwe who narrated the ordeal on Facebook, he says while he was in Ghana, the wife of his friend, who is quite influential, threatened to blackmail him… which she eventually did.
He wrote below:
“Good day my fellow DPA members…. Here is a cry for justice and i need all your supports and assistance in any way you guys can.
My Name is Okorodudu Anthony Ejomafuvwe, I hail from ughelli north local government, Delta state….
Here is the complaint i have to report to the DPA….
I visited a friend in Ghana called TONY IGBIWU and i’ve stayed with him now for a month and 3 weeks, i went there for 3months vacation. My eldest brother stays here too but i decide to stay with him. When i entered ghana, i located the nearest police station and made them aware of my presence in the country, i showed them my Identity Card as a uniform man that i am in my country Nigeria. And for the past 2weeks now, his wife has been acting funny and been asked me to always give her space which i did.
I was driving the wife along Spintex road in ghana and she told me that she will black-mail me in the country and i laughed about it, and told her it won’t happen and she replied saying “WE SHALL SEE”
The husband has two houses in ghana, 1 is at Spintex road and the other at Teshe Rasta Police Post. He has upto 8 boys under him. His Uncle is the Chief Judge in Asaba, Delta state.
One of the boys in his other house at Spintex called Julius also had issues with the wife too, and i keep telling boy that boy to go and apologize to the wife because she and her husband are good people and he shouldn’t do anything to offend them. And the boy yield to my advice, and tried making peace with the wife but she kept laying courses on the boy. When the same boy told me, i asked him to calm down and wait till the husband return from Nigeria so that all issues will be sorted out.
The husband returned but no issue was discussed. Just yesterday, the husband traveled to Nigeria and the wife went to her shop. Few hours later, the wife drove in and some other boys and they brought out that same Julius from the car, they’ve beaten him up and naked him, i came down stairs and asked what happened that warrant such beating on that boy, and before i could complete my statement they faced me and they started beating me up with all sort of things. Some of the things they used was Bottle, Shovel, Ply wood, Cable Wires, Broken Tiles. I begged for my life and God helped me out. All conversation i had with that boy is on whatsapp and my phone is with the wife even as we speak. I was able to remove some pieces of bottles from my head while i was bathing. The wife took a video coverage of all what happened yesterday and it has been more than 24hours now, but the Ghanian police hasn’t done anything yet about the case reported to them.
The name of the wife is Elo, she was the winner of Miss Delta, 2010. I’ve reported to the police but they know him too well, he do give them some tips and because of that, nothing has been done about the issue.
His wife’s mother stayed at the ending of Oba group in Udu road, ovwian delta state.
He always lodged at Best Western Hotel at Udu road, Mofor.
Sir Justice must be made. The other boy that was also beaten has been locked in one of the rooms inside the house. I was able to get hold of my computer and send my Eldest Brother a message on facebook and he sent people to come rescue me out of the house.
Sir Justice must be made. I did not steal from him, nor do i have anything to do with his wife but he treated me this way. I have rescued him from lots of police case in Nigeria, and when i visited him, he decided to treat me this way. Sir justice must be made. I strongly need the intervention of the DPA.
Mr Tony Igbiwu always say that when a man has money, he is never scared of problems and now he brought those same words to me. I won’t let him go with this sir. If the Law cannot do anything, then nature will take its course.
But first i need the intervention of the DPA…. Thank you and God bless you sir.
Some of the names of the boys that did this are; Timothy (His username on facebook is DB Paris Teenine), Silver, Rawlins, Samuel and Tabansii (His username on facebook is Chif Mena Tabansii)
I will attach the man’s photo and some of the boys that did this, i could not get the pictures of some of them.”
It’s no longer news that the official wedding ceremony of the President’s daughter, Zahra Buhari, will be holding in the hours of tomorrow, 16th December, 2016.
In light of this, the bride’s mother, first lady of the country, took to her social media to share the first official photo of the couple together asking Nigerians to pray for the family as the wedding is about to take place.
There have since been mixed reactions to her plea as social media users took to the platform to respond to her.
This obviously stunning lady you see in the photo above is Oluwagbeminiyi, she shared her story of how she was denied access to a restaurant in Lagos all because of her Hairstyle you see in the photo above.
According to her,
“About a weekago weekago! I got denied access into “Butholes Restaurant” because my hair was like this! .
Guy at the door deemed it too “local” but proceeded to allow 2 weave wearing ladies and 2 other men walk in, while moving me aside with his giant forearm. .
I’ve been through the motions this week… from embarrassment, to anger, to unworthiness to severe self consciousness to complete defiance in changing my hairstyle. .
I say it time and time again, this “self love” thing is a chore, a tiring one. .
Found myself wanting to cover my “glory”. Wore a hat throughout COPA even though I was in the shade for the fear that one security official will impede me from doing my job. .
I wanted a wig for fun the week before the event; but last week, I started to really dream about owning one till I found out the price (Jesos is lord) and decided; self love is harder but cheaper. .
It’s important for me to state, that my hair is natural not because I am a naturalista, but because I love food!
What has food got to do with it? Well when you eat as much as I do, you have the tendency to be obese, when you have the tendency to be obese, you need to work out. When you work out you sweat and I need access to my scalp always. And more importantly, I must eat.
.
That is the reason why I went to “butholes” in the first place. Food.
I shouldn’t be judged, no one, should be judged because they want to eat…..
Many people have many takes on this. Feminist, Patriotic, Indigenous, black girl magic etc .
My take is Human, that people, all people must be treated with dignity and respect no matter who they are or what their choices are and finally, all human beings must eat.
Ok bye!”

A 55-year-old trader, Mrs Saidat Abu, on Thursday told an Igando Customary Court in Lagos that her husband was a flirt who impregnated her younger sister on two occasions.
She disclosed this while responding to a suit filed by her husband, Momodu, alleging threat to his life by his wife.
Saidat, who alleged that her husband did not only commit adultery but incest, said,
“My husband was having an affair with my sister, he impregnated her and aborted the pregnancy on two occasions. I decided not to fight him in order to save my marriage.”
The mother of two also described her husband as a wicked and callous man.
She said:
“My husband took me to the hospital and connived with the doctor to remove my womb so that I will not be pregnant again.
After destroying my womb, he is now telling me that he wants to marry another woman so that he can have a son that will inherit his property.
He also told me he wants to sell our house so that he can settle our daughters and rent an apartment for me before he moves on with his life.”
She, however, begged the court not to grant her husband’s request, saying she was still in love with him. She said:
“Who will marry me now after my husband has destroyed my womb? Please do not grant his request.”
Her husband, a 60-year-old businessman, had approached the court to end his 33-year-old marriage over his wife’s alleged fetish act.
He said:
“My wife is fetish; I came back from work one day and discovered a portion in my compound was cemented. “I was curious to know what was buried in the ground, so I called my people and we dug the ground and saw a charm buried there. “My wife wanted to kill me so that she can inherit my property.”
The petitioner presented as evidence pictures of the buried charm. Momodu also said that his wife does not cook or wash his clothes.
He said:
“My wife cannot do any house chore; I am married but living like a single man, I can no longer tolerate her.”
He further accused his wife of inscribing “This house is not for sale ” on the wall of his house without his consent. The petitioner urged the court to terminate the marriage, saying he was fed up.
The court’s president, Mr. Adegboyega Omilola, after listening to the couple, adjourned the case till Feb. 7 for further hearing.
And the pre-wedding photos just keeps getting better and better by the day… the creativity put into every photo session is most of the time priceless! Just like this one you’re looking at!
The video of an elderly man kissing a woman went viral few days ago and a lot of people claimed the man was a Senator from Zamfara state.
In light of the frenzy it caused on social media, there’s been a new development as a Twitter user, @Sir_elmusty, claims the man is not a senator but a traditional ruler, and the woman in the video is his wife who recorded and sent the video to her mate (the ruler’s other wife, apparently, he has more than one) to make her feel ‘jealous’.
The mate on the other hand shared the video for the whole world to see.

Pastor Keion Henderson of The Lighthouse Church, Houston, put a smile on the face of his mom as he bought her a brand new SUV for Christmas.
Sharing the photo, the pastor wrote on his IG page:
This woman has saw to it that every broken place in my life was held together by the adhesive of her love. She worked at Taco Bell making $7 an hour for years to put clothes on our backs, a roof over our heads, and food in our stomachs. My mother has never had much. And I made her a promise at 17 years old that one day I would be able to erase every memory of every dry season of her life. Now that I’m older I realize that that’s not totally possible, but I am going to do my part. So today I say to you mother, Merry Christmas. For the 9 months you carried me, never missed a basketball game, every play and every graduation you attended. This is a small token of my appreciation to you for giving me life and most of all for giving me fight. I will love you forever. #MerryChristmas

An Osun State High Court sitting in Ile Ife has sentenced a couple – Fatai Jimoh and Lateefat Jimoh – to death by hanging for armed robbery and the murder of one Mrs. Bukola Taiwo of Ikeketu, Ile Ife.
Taiwo was said to have gone on a business trip to Ile Ife on August 12, 2009, and slept over at the Jimohs’ apartment.
It was learnt that the victim, who was a palm oil dealer, used to come from Ibadan, Oyo State, to buy palm oil at Ile Ife.
Taiwo was said to have bought 70 jerrycans of palm oil and kept them at the apartment of the couple. But the couple reportedly sold 48 jerrycans and promised to pay her back when she discovered the theft.
The couple, however, attacked the woman, who later died in a hospital.
The convicts were arraigned on June 2, 2014, on three counts of murder, conspiracy to murder and armed robbery respectively, which violated Section 316 (1), with punishment under Section 319, Cap 34, Law of Osun State and Section 1 (1) 2 (a) of the Robbery and Fire Arms (Special Provision) Act, Law of the Federation of Nigeria, 2000.
The couple had pleaded not guilty to the charges against them.
The prosecutor, during the trial, had called four witnesses and tendered 10 exhibits.
The prosecutor had told the court that Fatai strangulated the victim, while his wife smashed Taiwo’s head with a hammer after which the couple stole the victim’s purse and removed the sum of N48,780.
The Principal State Counsel, Mr. Faremi Moses, presented the hammer which the couple used on the deceased and other exhibits before the court.
The witnesses called by the prosecuting counsel were a police inspector, a pathologist from the University College Hospital, Ibadan, the Baale of Ikeketu and a neighour, who witnessed what happened.
Justice Onibokun, in his judgment, said the wife’s confessional statement to the police was taken as paramount and her confession was true.
The judge found the husband and wife guilty of two out of the three charges preferred against them.
Onibokun said, “The evidence of the prosecutor is cogent, reliable and credible, and the accused are therefore found guilty of murder and armed robbery after careful examination of the facts before the court.
“I hereby sentence them to death by hanging for murder and armed robbery, while they are discharged for conspiracy.”

Everyday, the newspapers report incidents of violence against them even in the internally displaced persons camps.”

“This is not a cheap publicity, I am not washing my dirty linens in the public, neither do I want to invoke pity. How nice is it for a woman to abandon her 3 months old bay for 4 weeks and ran off to Abuja with God knows who and is being seen in Abuja at public joints and night clubs with different men. I really cant stomach it any longer and at this point the world should know for posterity sake,” he wrote in post which he later deleted.

According to a report by Sahara Reporters, Rotimi’s parents ordered him back to Nigeria from Ireland after it was discovered that he was a drug addict after living in Dublin since when he was seven years old.
He was expected to go to school but he ended up getting himself involved in drugs.

“He thought he had killed both of them. After stabbing them, he pulled out a cloth to cover them, and he went to the bathroom to clean up. He got dressed, took his father’s phones, his ATM cards and went straight to the father’s fuel station at Palm Avenue. He got there and started harassing the station manager, demanding for money.” the source said
The police was invited and the suspect was arrested. He has been transferred to the Homicide Section at the Lagos State CID in Panti for further interrogation.
“Just like his other brother (who is) studying Medicine in the US, he has been begging this boy to go to school and this has always been the cause of the misunderstanding.”the source added

God has yet proven himself to be my God AGAIN!!! Babes!! Guys!! This is Christmas season.. Shine your eyes!!! I arrived the market (Lagos island) At about 2:30pm this afternoon I got to Lagos Island. I needed to get some stuffs. On getting there.
An old woman kept following me.. She be like “my dear, keep your money very well. This is Lagos, thieves are everywhere ” I was telling her thank you as per good mother.. She also said I should hold part of the money I was with so even if my bag was snatched I have something to fall back to.. That was how I foolishly brought out the money from my bag.. She picked up a nylon.. Trying to help me tie my money.. In the course of doing that.. She swapped the money.. She tied paper with nylon.. Gave me the nylon that had paper and took my money.
I kept saying “ese ma” thank you in Yoruba.. As that was what we were conversing with… In less than two seconds.. I’m not ashamed to say I was alerted by the Holy Spirit.. I turned back and was looking at her.. ( I never knew my money was missing) immediately she opened her pant and brought out my money .. Dumbfounded I was… I ran in shock to my friends shop.. When I got there, I opened the nylon she gave to me at first.. Only to see that it was newspapers.. My brothers n sisters.. Biko help me thank this God… And please y’ll be watchful, anywhere you find yourself.. It’s only God love that is real??
