Pete Edochie has made suggestions that the cases of Fulani herdsmen attack in Igbo communities may bring grave consequences.
The actor stated this in a proverbial way during an interview with Ugwumba Television.
He said,
“If an innocent child is respecting you whilst you flog him, he would retaliate when you force him to a tight corner.”
“I say to you, man will die once and one day and defend himself with whatever weapon available to him. That is the way I will answer your question on killer herdsmen.”
Though there have been various reports of violent attacks on communities all over the country by the herdsmen, but many of these cases happened in the eastern part of Nigeria.
Most of the attacks have been unprovoked, making it a source of wonder for observers to understand why they have been occurring.
The State Security Service SSS has released all the judges arrested and detained in Abuja and six other states over the weekend.
According to Premium Times, all the seven judges were released on self-recognition. A source at SSS said:
“They were all released on bail yesterday(Sunday) on self recognition. They reported this morning (Monday) and they have all gone back home. They will be coming back tomorrow. And everything went very procedurally well and civil.
They were released on bail on self recognition based on the fact that given their standing in the society, they cannot run away. They were instructed that they should come back today by 10am. They did report for investigation this morning and they have gone back home. And the investigation continues and preparation to charge them to court continued. Also, action was sequel to lack of cooperation by National Judicial Council. Such as refusal by the NJC to allow the affected persons to be questioned by the DSS. Investigation started some seven months ago, precisely in April 2016” he said
The crackdown has continued to generate mixed reactions across the country.
17-year-old Dacia Reynolds was found hanging from a tree in her yard in Runaway Bay, St Ann about 1:30 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 4th. Police say that the teen is suspected to have committed suicide.
Her body was taken to to the morgue for a post mortem to determine the actually cause of death and to reveal if any foul play was involved. No motives have yet been determined by the police as to why Reynolds may have taken her own life.
She was described as a promising young woman who didn’t show any signs of having problems, so her her taking her own life came has a real shocker to her friends and family.
“She showed no signs of depression,” one family member said, as a group sat comforting her bereaved mother, Verona Ferguson.
The distraught mother recalled that when she left Reynolds on Tuesday morning for work, she was not anticipating a call that would inform her of her death.
“Monday we were playing inside,” Ferguson recalled. “She was always happy, friendly, and always with a smile.”
“This shake up the entire district, everybody. She had an incredibly bubbly personality. She was passionate about life. Whenever she committed to doing something she always followed through,” said Pastor Delroy Johnson, who visited the family.
“She was enjoying church on Sunday; she was smiling. She was a very good girl; she never had a frown on her face,” another family member added.

MOST men – and their women – would like to have a mean-sized 4-5 to ensure pleasure between the sheets.
But Mnombo “Anaconda” Madyibi (32) and his wife want exactly the opposite. That’s because Mnombo’s snake-sized 4-5 is allegedly too big, hairy and scary for his new wife’s kitten!
Mnombo got his nickname after his fellow soccer players saw his 4-5 in the change rooms before a soccer match. But his new wife said she’s not being entertained by his bullish 4-5 as it’s destroying her kitten.
Mnombo, a local soccer player from Bhongweni Village in Mthatha, allegedly got klapped on Friday night by his new makoti on their honeymoon in Coffee Bay, on the Wild Coast of the Eastern Cape.
“All was well and she enjoyed the pre-intimacy, but all hell broke loose the moment I took off my underwear.
“My wife said she wanted a 4-5 inside her kitten, not an anaconda,” claimed Mnombo.
“When I tried to penetrate her, she bit my ear before squeezing my balls. Before I knew it, she knocked me over with a bottle of wine before attempting to suffocate me with a red and white teddy bear I had bought her as a gift.”
Mnombo claimed his screams summoned other guests and staff at the B&B where they were staying.
“We took different buses back home. I don’t want to lay charges against my new wife. I love her.
“I think she’s angry because I could only afford a cheaper honeymoon instead of the one she wished for in Zanzibar.”
He said he met his makoti at church last year and she told him she wanted to abstain from sex until they were married.
“I’ve only heard of joystick enlargement and not joystick shrinking,” said a frustrated Mnombo.
When Daily Sun contacted her, his wife said Mnombo was telling lies.
“He has a big 4-5 – long like a cucumber and hairy and scary like a bush. I only slapped him on the cheek and never moered him or tried to suffocate him,” she said.
The couple agreed to get counselling and said they would not involve the police.

Nigerian actor, producer, director and television personality, Ali Nuhu, popularly known by the media as “King of Kannywood” has approved of the recent ban on actress Rahama Sadau calling it logical, as he believes she violated the codes and ethics of Kannywood.
Rahama was banned by MOPPAN, a coalition of associations that set rules and regulations governing the conduct of actors and actresses, as well as production of movies in northern Nigeria, on account of her featuring in a 4 minute 19 seconds romantic musical video by based singer, ClassiQ.
In an interview with Daily Trust, Nuhu said
“I think that the ban is logical. She belongs to Kannywood, started her career in Kannywood and has violated the ethics and code of conduct of Kannywood by holding hands and falling on the guy’s back.”
The actor has however advised that the censoring body in future, needs to take caution before reaching a decision on matters such as this, noting that the ban is on the extreme as a lesser punishment would have sufficed.
“I don’t think she should be banned. Maybe a suspension. There are situations where people create big things out of small ones. That is why before deciding to do something, one needs to think. I would advise that in future when things like this happen, they deliberate amongst themselves and maybe call in a few others in the industry before making it public. People do things in an organization and are suspended or given queries. But these organizations won’t go to the media to announce it. It was blown out of proportion,” Ali explained.
Responding to social media critics who feel the ban was selective Ali Nuhu said
“About photographs of me in scenes with females, those are from Nollywood movies, many years old, and this code came into light recently, so people shouldn’t think MOPPAN is being selective.”
36-year-old Ifeyinwa Nlemchi, who in a jealous fit of rage allegedly burnt her husband’s official documents to protest his adulterous acts, was on Monday hauled up before a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.
The accused, who resides at No. 45, Church St., Fiwakesin, Agbede in Ikorodu, Lagos State, is standing trial on a two-count charge bordering on malicious damage.
Prosecutor Roman Unuigbe told the court that the accused committed the offences on Sept.16 at their residence.
Unuigbe alleged that the accused who suspected that her husband was having an illicit relationship with another woman, planted a tape in his office bag to record their conversations.
He said the accused also found out that her husband was spending time at a hotel with another woman and out of jealousy, took all the documents he had brought from work and set them on fire.
“Her husband, who made a report at the police station, said he wanted her charged to court for willfully destroying four international passports belonging to clients of Multi Choice Nigeria.”
The offences contravened Sections 338 and 348 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2011. Ifeyinwa, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
In his ruling, the Chief Magistrate, Mr P.A. Ojo, granted her bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He said one of the sureties must be a blood relation of the accused and should be gainfully employed in a reputable and verified organisation.
In addition, the magistrate said the sureties must show evidence of tax payment to the government. The case was adjourned to Nov. 4 for substantive trial.
The beautiful young lady you see above is Olabisi – a very rare kinda Nigerian female who voluntarily went into carpentry because it is her dream, and she is very proud of the path she has taken.
Speaking on her decision to tread where few ladies dare, she said:
So about a week ago, I started my self carpentry training..waow!thanks to YouTube and the free carpentry books online. I had actually thought it’s going to be an easy ride but eish….it’s not been easy and neither is it as difficult as I was told it would be.
The beautiful thing is, this journey is revealing to me much more than ever that God is a God of process. Therefore, no pressure! Whether I succeed or fail is inconsequential, I am open enough to take the risk to fail. No pressure. No quest for instant gratification. No immediate result needed. For me, its all about enjoying the process.
World class exceptional singer, Celine Dion has just revealed that she has never been with another man except her husband. The 48-year-old singer’s husband of 22 years, René Angélil died of cancer in January and she isn’t ready to move on yet.
“I love him. I’m still in love with him,” she said on CBS Sunday Morning while adding she wasn’t ready to fall in love again. “Not now. I’m still married to him. I’ve never kissed another man in my life.”
She added: “I love. I love. I love him. I’m still in love with him. And I have the love of my children. I have the love of my fans. I love the people that I work with. So, my life is not empty of love.
“I go to bed with him and I come onstage with him, and…so, I’m still married to him.”
Celine was just 12 years old when she met René, who became her manager. And she remembered her spouse, who was 38 at the time, looked “very beautiful” and she appreciated the fact he didn’t treat her like a child.
“I thought he looked very beautiful. He looked great. I felt confident that this man was not treating me as a ‘Oh, hi, little pumpkin’ or ‘Hi, little sweetie’ or like a little baby.”
The lady in the photo above and her neighbour were engaged in a fight, and just when she thought the brawl had come to an end, she got the total shock of her life.
So a Nigerian student who needed money for her school handouts sent the media personality a shout out asking for her help and voila! The rest is a gladdening history!

13-year-old Mahendra Ahirwar had a rare condition that made his head hang at a 180-degree angle – the teenager’s crocked neck meant he couldn’t stand, he had to sit and always needed help to eat and go to the toilet.
He was at home alone all day and his mother said she couldn’t bear to see him suffer.
The good news is Mahendra’s life has been transformed by surgery and he can finally see the world the right way up again. His father Mukesh, 41, told Mail Online:
“It’s a miracle! He looks great. His neck is straight; and his life is so very different. ‘He’s in a good place. It was heart breaking to see him before. We were on the brink of losing him. When his neck was bent he was too shy to speak but now he feels like a normal person and we can see his confidence levels growing. He is very happy now. He says he can feel the difference and he loves it.
Mahendra, from Madhya Pradesh, central India, was born with a normal neck but as he grew older his bones became weak and his neck began to bend.
After years of trying to find treatment with no success, Mahendra resigned to spending the rest of his life with a crocked neck.
But life was a struggle. Mahendra’s parents even admit they would rather their son die than continue to suffer.
Mahendra’s life however was transformed thanks to a stranger, mother-of-two Julie Jones living 4,000 miles away in Liverpool who read his story and raised £12,000 for an operation to straighten his neck.
Now the Mahendra can do the same things other boys his age can – like go to school.
As bizarre as it looks, this Ghanaian man didn’t just accidentally, take a box of fruit juice and started using to have his bath… The Juice Box is that of “Kalyppo”, a fruit juice company brand in Ghana.

A newborn baby boy has had quite a miraculous recovery despite being stabbed for 14 times and buried alive in a shallow grave in Thailand.
After he was taken to a local orphanage on surviving his ordeal, he is now set for a dream life after a Swedish couple adopted him.
The seven-month-old boy, named Aidin was dumped face down in a 20cm grave in February, just days after he was born. He had suffered horrendous knife injuries before he was placed in the ground alive and left for dead.
However, passing cattle herder Kachit Krongyut saw a tiny foot sticking out of the ground under a eucalyptus tree. She then heard the boy’s cries and realised that it was a baby buried under the tree.
The 53-year-old then began frantically digging up the soil with her hands and discovered the injured newborn.
Aidin was then rushed to hospital to be treated for his 14 stab wounds on his tiny body.
Miraculously, doctors said it was the pressure from the soil against his body that prevented Aidin from bleeding to death. Mrs Krongyut said:
‘At first, I thought someone buried their pets alive, but then I saw a foot.
‘I tried to control myself and called for help. The baby was buried with its face facing down.’
After being nursed back to health, he was taken to an orphanage where he is now set to be adopted by a couple in Sweden.
Supachai Pathimchart from the Kaen Thong Orphanage where Aidin was cared for said they were “very happy” for him. He said:
‘All of the safety checks have been carried out to make sure Aidin goes to a good home. We’re very happy that he will be going to a good home and have a comfortable life.
‘He survived a very bad experience but he has a lot of character and he’s happy with life.’
While Mrs Krongyut and her husband Pornchai, who rescued the infant, said they were delighted that Aidin is going to a good home. Mr Krongyut said:
‘He is very lucky. A few hours later and he might not have survived. We’re very happy that he has found a loving home to go to. He will do well in life we’re sure.’
Doctors believe that Aidin may have been abused by his mother, a 42-year-old local woman. Footprints and motorbike tracks left at the scene helped police to find her. She was tracked down and charged with attempted murder and abandoning her own child.

In the footage likely to make most men wince, the Chinese soft shell turtle is seen with its teeth clamped around the groin area of the man’s trousers.
The unlucky man is seen using red rope that is tied around the reptile’s shell to lift it up so he can walk with more ease.

An Iranian child bride could be hanged in weeks after she was sentenced to death for allegedly murdering her abusive husband – Zeinab Sokian was sentenced to death for the 2012 murder of her husband, when she was just 17, Daily Mail reports.
However, Zeinab married another prisoner while in jail and fell pregnant, and as Iranian law prevents pregnant women from being executed her death sentence was delayed.
On September 30 she gave birth to a stillborn child in Euromieh central prison in northern Iran, meaning she could now be put to death within weeks.
Zeinab, who hails from a small village in northern Iran, was just 15 when she married her first husband.
Under Iranian law girls can marry at 13-years-old and boys at 15, although international human rights organisations say both parties in a marriage should be aged 18 or over.
During her trial, Zeinab claimed that her husband frequently beat and abused her, a source told Human Rights Watch. However, her claims were dismissed by the court.
The human rights organisation says that Zeinab was informed by authorities this week her execution could take place in the coming weeks.
Iran passed legal reforms in 2013, which give judges the discretion to spare children the death penalty if they do not understand the nature of their crime.
The law also entitles those sentenced to death prior to 2013 to a new trial – but only if they request it. Human Right Watch is calling for all pre-2013 defendents to face a new trial.
‘The 2013 reforms aimed to prevent wrongful conviction of children for capital offenses. If the Iranian government is serious about this goal, it should at a minimum grant everyone facing the death penalty for alleged offenses committed as children a new trial that conforms to international human rights standards,’ the organisation said.
‘This includes Zeinab, an alleged victim of domestic violence, who may otherwise imminently face the gallows.’
So is it until you both are getting laid and smooching upandan before you can say you’re “officially” dating?! That seems to be the mentality this guy has but unfortunately for him, his girl is not having any of it.
Just after two weeks of “dating”, the guy popped the question and asked why the two of them weren’t getting down, since they were together…
The girl, who obviously has zero chills, gave him this response below:

The HIV positive woman, Fezekile ‘Khwezi’ Kuzwayo, who accused South Africa’s President Jacob Zuma of rape 10 years ago, reportedly died on Saturday.
This has sparked major reactions on South African social media, with some people calling for the president’s resignation.
The high-profile case rocked the country about a year before Zuma became president. Named ‘Khwezi’ by South Africans to protect her image, the victim reportedly was the daughter of Zuma’s friend, Judson Diza Khuzwayo, a member of the African National Congress (ANC). The two men had spent 10 years in Robben Island Prison.
In 2005, 31-year-old Khwezi accused Zuma of raping her at his Johannesburg home. He pleaded not guilty and his attorneys reduced her claims to a consensual sex.
A year later, Jacob Zuma was acquitted, and in 2009, he became the president of South Africa.
Khwezi, later diagnosed with HIV, fiercely advocated for women’s right and fought against rape, until yesterday, when her family released a statement, confirming her death.
“It is with our deepest sorrow that the Kuzwayo family announces the passing of our daughter Fezekile Ntsukela Kuzwayo,” her mother, Beauty Sibongile Kuzwayo said.
The cause of her death has not been made public.
Her death has sparked major reactions on social media. While many people are calling for the president’s resignation, other have noted how politician Julius Malema vilified the alleged rape victim during the court proceedings.
UK based Nigerian gay rights activist, Bisi Alimi is getting ready towards his gay marriage to partner, Anthony and today is day 6 of the remaining 30 days.
The gay being dedicates the day it to his childhood. He shared this photo of himself as a child and wrote:
Day 6 of 30 days to my wedding of 30 things to be grateful for. Today I want to be thankful for my childhood.
Many times we concentrate on the now and forgetting the journey it took to get to now. The laughter, the joy, the pains and the tears.
My childhood was not perfect and I am happy it was not, but it was a journey I am proud of. I carry my joy and pains on the sleeves but most importantly, my childhood taught me what matters in the world.
The essence of compassion, love and empathy. I learnt that sitting on the fence was not a neutral act. That silence is not golden. That boy can not and should not always be boys at the expense of girls. That I can play with dolls, pink dolls, paint my face and catwalk.
Yes, sometimes I get beaten for it, but the hard headed boy I was, my passion and not the rejection was my childhood driver. As a loner, growing up in my head and in my world, I hardly make excuse for my action. I was thought to say sorry when wrong and never to say it unless I am sure I am wrong.
I spent my childhood being a child and maybe that’s why, as an adult, I am still a child. Get angry like a child, smile like a child, think like a child, eat like one, sleep like one, and perform like one.
I am Peter Pan but with the vision of an adult. Dear Ademola, Ojo, Kazeem, Iyanda Alimi, thanks for making the adult that is Adebisi Ademola Alimi.
Next month I will marry my husband with the spirit of a child, will laugh with that spirit, enjoy the moment that my childhood has spent 41years preparing for my adulthood. In the presence of my friends, families and loved one, with shine on my face like a proud child, I will look into the eyes of my lover and say; I DO! #equalmarriage #samesexwedding #gaymarriage #ido #childhood #growingup

The Kaduna state government has ordered the arrest and prosecution of Ibrahim Musa, the spokesman of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria ( IMN), otherwise known as Shiites.
In a statement by the spokesman of Governor Nasir El-Rufai, Mr. Samuel Aruwan, it said:
“All security agencies in the state have been directed to vigorously enforce the law, and demonstrate clear resolve by arresting the said Ibrahim Musa, who is further advised to report himself to the nearest police station or any of the security agencies.”
The state government on Friday issued a declaration outlawing the IMN, saying it is an illegal organisation.
However, in a reaction on Saturday, the spokesman of the movement, Ibrahim Musa, had described the ban as an infringement on their fundamental human rights, vowing that the group will challenge it in court.
But Aruwan said on Sunday that Musa had identified himself as a spokesman of an illegal group and should be arrested and prosecuted.
According to the statement,
“One Ibrahim Musa who has owned up to being the spokesperson of an unlawful society, the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN)” noting that a few hours after the IMN was outlawed, Musa admitted to the membership of an unlawful society and identified himself as its spokesman in widely publicized statements.”
Paying for sex is taboo – nobody wants to admit doing it. It is gross, weird, or even perverse. At least that is what some people say.
But there is a huge market for paid sex. Love Matters Africa’s Stephanie Haase takes a look at some of the things you should know about paid sex.
1. What is paid sex and where does it happen?
Paid sex, or prostitution, means paying someone for sexual services. The payment can be cash, but it can also be through gifts and favors.
The person who is getting paid is called a sex worker, prostitute or a range of other, often demeaning, words.
Sex workers can be either woman or men. Male sex workers offer their services to other men, too. If they are not gay themselves, this is sometimes called ‘gay-to-pay’.
Sex workers sell sex for a variety of reasons, and sometimes it can be a means to buy drugs or because of poverty. This is known as ‘survival sex’.
There are many places for paid sex. Some sex workers offer their services on the streets, others work in brothels, or as escorts, who offer their services in hotels or private homes.
