The Enugu State Police Command have arrested three suspects: Obed Chekwube Ugwuanyi, also known as MC Sharp (male, 32 years old), Chinenye Agbo, known as Star Ella Ada (female, 26 years old), and Anastasia Onu (female, 26 years old), in connection with the assault of Chinenye.
This trio and others who are currently at large, were captured in a viral video in which Chinenye was subjected to inconceivable physical abuse.
Chinenye was beaten, stripped naked, and forcibly had her hair shaved off for allegedly attacking Anastasia, who is Obed’s girlfriend, and biting her chest in the process.
The video made rounds on social media and stirred public outrage and call for justice over the inhumane and degrading treatments meted out on Chinenye.
However, in a surprising new turn, the suspects are claiming that the incident was a prank meant to help them gain followers on social media.
A statement by the police spokesperson, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, noted that;
“Preliminary investigation reveals that the trio are, however, claiming that the video, which has generated public outcry and condemnation due to the inconceivable assault, inhuman and degrading treatments meted out on Chinenye as seen in the video, is a prank and meant to garner followers on their social media accounts.
Ndukwe added that the state Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Ammani, while condemning the act, has ordered the State CID Enugu to thoroughly investigate and prosecute those found culpable, to serve as a deterrent to anyone who may want to perpetrate such an act under the guise of prank.
During the game to determine who would be the head of the house for the week, Pere and Adekunle got into a verbal altercation and accused the latter of “cheating.”
Pere told Biggie during his diary session on Tuesday that Adekunle gave him a small shove and dunked him with sand as he attempted to shovel it into his trash can.
Pere stated that he was so pissed at the situation and thought about leaving the competition for 120 million naira but had to control himself to not do something that would jeopardize his chances.
He said:
“I was angry, and it made me feel the entire house was against him. I won’t let them win. The Pepper Dem faction and others didn’t want me to be HOH.

There is currently jubilation in Kenya as Chef Maliha Mohammed sets new world record for the longest home kitchen cooking marathon.
Chef Maliha achieved the remarkable feat on Tuesday, August 15, after cooking non-stop for a staggering 95 hours, surpassing the previous record held by American chef Rickey Lumpkin of California, who achieved a home cooking time of 68 hours, 30 minutes, and 1 second in December 2018.
The mother of two took to her Instagram page to excitedly announce her record-breaking feat after completing the cook-a-thon.
“Yes, we did it! New world record holder for the longest home kitchen cooking marathon in town 😎😎 Shukran for the support 💯,” she wrote.

The Nigerian chef and restauranteur is officially the record holder for the longest cooking time marathon with a time of 93 hours and 11 minutes.
Contrary to reports flying around, Chef Maliha has not broken Hilda Baci’s cooking record yet. She has only set a new record for the longest home kitchen cooking marathon, and it has not been confirmed by Guinness World Record.

TG Omori described his entry into the world of video production, claiming that he employs production studios that provide him access to the tools he needs for filming and that he doesn’t own a single piece of video equipment.
The filmmaker also described how, when his parents couldn’t afford to purchase him a laptop, he decided to act because all he had to do was show up on set. He had originally planned to pursue film production in school, but acting allowed him to avoid this financial burden.
“I wanted to study film production, but they could not even afford to buy me a laptop, so I went for performing act because all you need is just to be present on stage. So it was in school that I discovered that there is a career called music video director, and you don’t even need to have anything, you can actually rent,” he added.

A Ghanaian doctor has narrated how a pregnant woman who had a heart condition died after refusing an elective Cesarean Section (C/S) over her husband’s “agreement with God”.
Dr. Wilberforce took to Twitter to relay the heartbreaking incident recently. He said the woman was advised to undergo CS because her heart can’t endure the stress of labour and vagina delivery.
In response to the medical advice, she said she needed to discuss the issue with her husband first and left the hospital.
When she returned weeks later, it was already too late as the baby had died in her womb and she subsequently suffered a cardiac arrest, which led to her death.
Following her death, her husband was confronted and he stated that he refused the Caesarian session because he had an agreement with God that his wife will deliver normally.

A final-year student of Enugu State University of Science and Technology, ESUT, Mbah Ezinne, has been found dead in her room.
The lifeless body of the Anatomy student was discovered in her residence on July 31, 2023, following her noticeable absence in church.
Ezinne, who was very active in church, had attended a praise night with her friends on Friday, July 28. The group went home around 4am on Saturday and expected to converge in church again for the Youth Day festivities on Sunday, July 30.
According to reports, Ezinne failed to show up in church, which sparked concern from her friends. They tried calling her repeatedly but her mobile line was not reachable.
One Chisom Onyedikachi, who spoke to Sahara Reporters, stated that after her disappearance, her brother Stephen and some of her friends went to her apartment in Enugu.
When they got there on Monday afternoon, they peeped through her window and found Ezinne and a male friend, said to be her coursemate, lying on the floor.
Her brother tried to break into the apartment but was advised to contact the police before taking any action. When the police arrived, they rushed the victims to the hospital, but sadly, Ezinne was pronounced dead while her friend was resuscitated.
It was gathered that the male friend is still battling for his life in a hospital. Friends and family of the deceased are hoping he recovers and reveal what happened to them.

Olumide Aderinokun, a Nigerian businessman and politician, has stated that the N2m ‘enjoyment allowance’ paid to senators is not a big deal.
Aderinokun, who is married to media personality and actress Stephanie Coker, took to Twitter to state this on Tuesday, August 15, adding that the amount is too small for a senator.

A Nigerian man has been captured in a video trending on social media confronting a Christian woman on her way to church last Sunday.
In the viral clip, the man was heard telling the woman that she has been brainwashed by her religious leaders because the bible “is just a claim and not fact”.
He also argued that ‘God’ was invented by man to control others, and proceeded to disprove events in the bible, stating that they are false.
When the woman asked how he came into the world, the man stated that he was not “created” as claimed in the bible, but was born by his parents who also had parents.
However, when the woman couldn’t stand the conversation anymore, she left and continued on her journey to church but the man still continued bashing Christians.
He stated that poverty is the primary reason why Nigerians are Christians, as they have succeeded in selling the idea that there is a better place than Earth.
According to him, black people should visit European countries, Dubai, Malaysia, and Indonesia, to see how developed they are and they would ditch their religious mentality.
He went on to say that Japan is one of the places where people live the longest, yet they are not Christians.
He added that some pastors deceive Christians into believing God will give them a job and make them rich, whereas the only thing that can make one rich is a profitable idea, product or service.

An Anambra man identified as Chief Mbanabalagu, has reportedly used conventional methods to divorce his wife, Ndidiamaka Hope Okoye, because of alleged infidelity.
The upset husband said that his wife had slept with many guys in various areas around the state.
Mbanabalagu broke into his in-laws’ home in Alor community, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, and informed them that he would be hauling her to court.
A video that surfaced on the internet shows when he claimed his wife, Ndidiamaka sleeps around with different men in various communities and engages in ‘akwunakwuna’ (prostitution).
He further claimed, in a shaky voice, that his wife had an affair with a married tipper driver who provides sand to his block business and that she had even rented a house to do so.
“I came to say that starting from today, I am no longer interested in the marriage. She is engaging in prostitution in my own house.
This is Herbert Okoye’s compound. This is where I conducted Ndidiamaka’s traditional wedding rites. I came to traditionally divorce her. I’m not marrying again,” he said pointing at the wife’s paternal compound.
“Despite me having something (m*nh**d) This woman would wake up each morning and go to have sxx with the tipper driver,” Chief Mbanabalagu added.

Nollywood actress, Destiny Etiko’s adopted daughter, Chinenye Eucharia has set tongues wagging as she pens a birthday note to Destiny.
Recall that a while back, Destiny confirmed that she had cut ties with Eucharia, revealing that the former hurt her.
Destiny said in a video she shared on Instagram that she had picked, trained, and spoiled Chinenye, but all she received in return was disrespect and a lack of gratitude.
“She hurt me. She hurt me so much. Not one, not twice. Sorry I can’t say. I tried to keep it cause I love her. I love Chinenye so much. I saw a girl coming from a ‘rich’ background and that I wanted to help. I meant well for her. I don’t want to give people story to talk about”. She said.

Big Brother Naija ‘All Stars’ housemates, Ike Onyema and Angel Smith, were involved in a heated verbal confrontation over chicken today, August 14.
The fight broke out when Ike, who is the current head of house, insisted on eating a specific part of the chicken.
However, Angel wasn’t in support of him being choosy about the part of chicken he should be served, and expressed her displeasure.
This quickly degenerated into an intense war of words, with Angel calling Ike a tyrant and accusing him of ‘abusing’ his power as the head of house.
She proceeded to broke shame him, mentioning that she is not interested in the N120 million grand prize, unlike his determination to win even though he won’t “smell” the money.
In response to this, Ike accused Angel of funding her lifestyle and buying her Mercedes Benz through prostitution.
However, Angel fired back at him, telling him to also go and sleep with people in exchange for money so he can afford a lavish lifestyle.
“If e easy, bend over make dem buy you benz,” she retorted.
She also challenged him to reveal his other sources of income asides being a blogger. She further claimed that Ike recently complained bitterly about not having a sugar mommy to bankroll him.
Nigerian DJ and music executive, Ayorinde Kehinde Okiki, otherwise known as DJ Kaywise’s girlfriend, Benny B, has taken to social media to claim that her in-laws had threatened her life.
Benny revealed that a group of enraged workers Kaywise dismissed, along with his twin brother, had threatened to kill her in 2021 but their plans were foiled when she involved the police.
They, however, recently devised another plan to kidnap her in July, but were caught off guard when Kaywise went to pick up the parcel intended for her.
She shared a CCTV footage showing the disgruntled ex-workers upset that she wasn’t the one who showed up at the gate to pick up the package because they had been waiting for her.
She shared a video of the three males outside her house to alert the public in case something happens to her.
She also issued an official statement on her Instagram page detailing the events leading up to the incident.

The saga commenced in 2021, I received a life threatening call from an unfamiliar voice warning,
“You will die before this year ends; you cannot escape us.” Alarmed, I reported the incident to the police, leading to the startling discovery that the caller was Shola Olabinta, a former domestic
staff of Kaywise. Shola confessed to being part of a vengeful group seeking retaliation against Kaywise for their dismissals.
Upon my request for legal action, Kaywise intervened, revealing that his parents had implored him to persuade me to withdraw the case, given his twin brother’s connection to the retaliation. Following this counsel, I heeded their plea, resulting in Shola Olabintan signing an undertaking.
In January 2023, an anonymous blog alleged that Kaywise had SLAPPED his mother and portrayed him as emotionally distressed, even suggesting suicidal thoughts. Curiously, the same article baselessly implicated me in various claims, including the absurd accusation of having bewitched Kaywise. I was surprised to learn that the twin brother, whom Kaywise had fired in 2021 and had not seen since then till date suddenly appeared in the blog’s story, supposedly working on damage control. The situation struck me as quite amusing.
The baseless allegation circulated by the blog incited a wave of public uproar, leading us to choose a wait-and-observe approach to see if the family who kaywise has been nothing but good to and to whom I had been equally supportive would come forward to debunk the false allegations whether related to marriage or any physical assault.
The situation took a more astonishing turn when we discovered that the entire family stayed quiet and allowed the public to slander our reputation for no reason prompting us to rely on prayers knowing fully well God will vindicate and expose the truth. In all we moved on with our businesses.
Then, on the 30th of July 2023, a weekend designated for celebrating my dog’s birthday, of which Kaywise was in attendance, I had ordered dog accessories from an online store based in Egbeda.
Despite the delivery not arriving as expected, the next day, an entirely different person contacted me, informing me of his presence at my gate to deliver the dog accessories. My initial intention was to personally step outside and receive the delivery myself ; however, recognising my
preoccupation, Kaywise generously offered to handle it on my behalf.
Driven by curiosity, i took a peek outside and to my astonishment, I spotted a group of individuals in cars, positioned in a manner suggesting a potential attack. Amongst them were the same
employees Kaywise fired in 2021 which included AB Events (Abraham Losa), ManlikeTrex (Toby
Paul Chukwu ) and his twin brother Shotbythai ( Taiwo Ayorinde ) I screamed and called on kaywise, he told me to stay back and he went to the gate. When they saw him, they were shocked. They did not know that he was there. Some of them placed their hands on their heads in disbelief and shocked that their plans had failed.
Kaywise swiftly retrieved his phone to start recording, prompting them to hurriedly scramble into their concealed vehicles, reversing in a flurry of panic and swiftly retreating; amid the chaos, Trex (Toby Paul Chukwu)’s voice could be heard shouting F***K Up. Swiftly, we reported the incident to
the Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department in Lagos (FCID), resulting in the
successful apprehension of three suspects. However, several other suspects remain at large. This
press release serves as a precautionary measure to ensure that in the event of any unforeseen
developments, the identities of those responsible for the attack are known.

A video making rounds online shows the lady playing with the wild animal inside her bedroom. Other clips shows the cub walking free inside her house.
The clip has sparked different reactions on social media, with many wondering how she got the baby lion.
Others questioned her nationality, as it would be quite unusual for her to possess a lion cub in Nigeria if she is indeed Nigerian.
Some netizens also pointed out the potential danger of having a lion cub as a pet, as it can attack her when its natural predatory instincts kicks in.

A Nigerian woman has won hearts online after recommending her son for a job at her place of employment soon after he graduated.
The young guy recently finished the NYSC program, and his mother, who works as a cleaner for a firm, spoke with her employer on her son’s behalf.
Following the recommendation, the graduate was invited to an interview, which he aced. His mother was overjoyed when the company made him a job offer.
A member of the organization’s staff posted the touching tale and a picture of the fresh graduate receiving his appointment letter while his mother’s face lit up with joy on social media.
“This is a cleaner in our office who recommended her son (just completed NYSC) for an opening. He passed the test and interviews, and just got his appointment letter. You need to see how wide her smile is. God bless our mothers,” the caption read.
