Afrobeat sensation Xino releases #Life (Go Far), an inspiring new song that takes a look at the bright side of life… Lagos, June 22, 2016 – “Life is magical in every way, ups and down don’t change me cause I’m focused…” With opening lyrics that are uplifting and positive, Xino’s latest single “Life (Go Far)” is an inspiring and motivational song that sings about the happier side of life.
Accompanied by an upbeat melody, the song expresses the beauty of life and offers sage advice about how human beings ought to be happy and excel in life. The chorus further reinforces this, with family and loved ones wishing us to excel and achieve much in life. Supported by the belief of loved ones in us, there is no doubt that the only way we can go is up! At the same time, “Life (Go Far)” also broaches the laws of life and love, specifically self-love. When we love ourselves and appreciate our unique gifts, talents and beauty, all is right in the world.
Here’s What The Founder of Gossip Mill Nigeria, Somto Monanu Posted on His Blog;
So on the 22nd of June 2016 I woke up to 2 emails from the Facebook team which read:
Hello,
Your Page “Gossip Mill Nigeria” has been removed for violating our Terms of Use. A Facebook Page is a distinct presence used solely for business or promotional purposes. Among other things, Pages that are hateful, threatening, or obscene are not allowed. We also take down Pages that attack an individual or group, or that are set up by an unauthorized individual. If your Page was removed for any of the above reasons, it will not be reinstated. Continued misuse of Facebook’s features could result in the permanent loss of your account.
The Facebook Team
Shockingly, this Email did not come as a surprise to me as Gossip Mill Nigeria is practically the fastest growing Nigerian page on facebook and the most active as a matter of facts they are only 2 Pages with more Fans than us Naij with -3million fans and information Nigeria with 2.8million fans and for a while now we have been Victims of a series of senseless Copyright reports from disgruntled Fans and Competitors.
What these disgruntled fellows do is visit the facebook Copyright Report Centre create fake Emails and then file in a series of reports claiming to be the owners of videos or Photos we have permissions from the real owners to post, then facebook innocently takes down the videos thinking they are protecting the copyright of the content creator not knowing they are unknowingly doing the evil biddings of Mischief Makers.
After 3 or 4 copyright reports are lodged against your facebook page it will be deleted or Unpublished by Facebook both words actually mean the same thing.
Early this month these Mischief Makers Created a fake Email and Reported a couple of Mark Angel Comedy series videos and some other videos.
I then called Mark Angel and he Categorically told me he never filed any copyright report and that another popular African facebook page named We African Nations was also experiencing a similar Problem.
I Immediately contacted the facebook team Back by sending a
Copyright Counter Complaint: #130114570721513 :
Explaining to them that i had permissions from the content creators of the video posted, The videos where then reinstated what was not clear to me was whether it was reinstated by the facebook team or the Person who reported it but that did not actually matter as the damage had already been done as facebook had already placed a 30days ban on my page the instant the videos where initially deleted, I was under this 30days ban but still the Copyright reports kept on pouring in till the Page was eventually Deleted.
I respect the fact that facebook Protects the copyright of a content creator but then they leave we the Facebook Page Owners vulnerable as anyone with access to this link ”Copyright Report Centre” can come to your facebook page and delete any Photo or video he or she feels like deleting, And facebook will not carry out any proper investigation before deleting your page.
Something similar happened to sowore of SaharaReporters a while back Read it on Here or Here.
The Painful Reality is if whoever reported the passport reports one or two more articles on SR’s facebook Page, Facbook will take it down not even bothering to properly investigate what actually transpired.
Does this mean no matter the amount of fans you have on facebook your page is completely Worthless and can be deleted at anytime by facebook?
Well i then embarked to find answers to this question on the internet and the results i saw was shocking as this kind of Malicious act has been happening for a while now see other similar stories.
Facebook is not in a position to adjudicate disputes between third parties. If you believe these reports are not being made in good faith or are inaccurate, we suggest you or your legal counsel contact the complaining party to discuss this further.
Facebook literally leaves you at the mercy of anyone who decides to wake up one morning and file A Copyright report against you i was even lucky they replied me once (As shown in my Above screenshots) Because i have been trying to contact them back ever since but i keep getting automated Mails or no response at all, Still can not find a way to get to an Actual human being at facebook.
Anyone with any useful information on how i can get through to the facebook team can reach me on my Phone number +234 7059938925 or email [email protected]
Tragedy struck at Alhaji Ede Avenue in Igando area of Lagos, after a 19-year-old lady allegedly committed suicide following a quarrel with her lover. The deceased, Uche Obiora, was said to have visited her lover’s home over the weekend. There were, however, different accounts as to how the tragedy struck.
A version of the account said a quarrel ensued between them, over suspicion by Obiora that her boyfriend, Ernest Ihaza, was having an affair with another lady.
Another version stated that during the visit, Ihaza announced his intention to discontinue with the relationship. During the verbal confrontation between them, Ernest was said to have stormed out of his apartment.
However on arrival, he reportedly met Uche writhing in pains on the floor holding on to her stomach. Ernest, who later reported the case at the Igando Police Division, disclosed that Uche drank poison, Vanguard reports.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Dolapo Badmus, said: “Ernest Ihaza reported at the Igando Police Station that his girlfriend, Uche Obiora, committed suicide by drinking snipers insecticide. We are investigating the matter.”
The family of Late Stephen Keshi, the former national team’s coach and his wife’s are at loggerheads as to the final resting place of the former Nigerian coach and player. Reports have it that the Onyeogu Family Union of Ukpologwu Illah, Delta State has demanded that the remains of their son be buried on his ancestral ground in Illah.
However, the family of his late wife, Aburime have also requested that the body be buried on their ground as he was more of a son than an in-law to them. In a letter made available to news agency, Sports Vanguard, the union said:
“The issue that has caused us much anxiety is the proposal by the Aburime Family that they wish their in-law, our son, to be buried in Benin. As it is in Delta State, Edo State including the Ewu Kingdom and indeed Nigeria, most men are buried in their hometown on their demise. We wish to reiterate our demand as earlier stated at the meeting of 17th June, that our son Steven Okechukwu Keshi be buried at his house in his hometown Ogbe Onyeogu Ukpologwu Illah in line with his last wish before his demise.
“And this we must state is in conformity with Illah tradition, the Ewu tradition and the Chieftaincy institution which he willingly subscribed to during his lifetime,” the Ogbe Onyeogu family stated.
We believe that an issue of this nature needs no further elaboration as it is customary in Nigeria that most persons, particularly high profile personalities are buried in their hometown, to do the otherwise may portend some consequences in future going by the Illah culture and tradition.
“The recent internment of his colleague and friend, Shuaibu Amodu in Okpella, Edo State is a leading example.”
My girlfriend didn’t want to admit this to me because she was afraid of how I may react but she felt I should know.
She was sitting on these bleachers with her friend jasmine and this guy and I guess they were having conversation when he asked a weird question he says “I know you have a boyfriend but forget about him for a second if you had to have s8x with any 2 guys who would they be?,” she felt uncomfortable and said she didn’t want to answer he kept pestering her so she made up 2 names.
The guy then proceeds to say I would f8ck you (talking to my girlfriend), and his girlfriends best friend. (He has a girlfriend) the next day he says he changes his mind saying he wouldn’t f8ck his girlfriends best friend but he’d still f8ck my girlfriend.
Later that day she pinched his n1pple (I still don’t know why) so he poked her b8ob which she was very uncomfortable with he proceeded to do this a few times after that time and she told him to stop because she was clearly uncomfortable and her friend yelled at him.
I’m pretty pissed off about the whole thing he’s touching her and telling her he wants to f8ck her. I want to kick his a2s.
She doesn’t want me to freak out she doesn’t want me to do anything but she agreed if he touches her again I get to do something about it

Mrs Aisha Buhari, the wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, last night set Twitter on fire when she tweeted that the Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose is a ‘mad dog that isn’t chained’.
The tweet from her verified account @ABuhari had gotten hundreds of retweets but has now been deleted after many Nigerins commented saying that she should not have descended to Fayose’s level with her choice of words.
“Enough is Enough Fayose. A mad dog that isn’t chained. I refuse to keep quiet,” the President’s wife posted on her verified Twitter handle.
“If Buhari is 73 years old, I Aisha am 45 years old. I have more than enough energy to face you”.
The two tweets have now disappeared from her account.
Aisha had rebuked Fayose for linking her with Halliburton scandal and a former US House of Reps member, William Jefferson.
It all started after the EFCC blocked Fayose’s private account at Zenith Bank.
In an off-target reaction, Fayose alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari and his family members are not saints after all.
” Even the President cannot claim to be an angel. The estate he built in Abuja is known to us. His wife was indicted over the Halliburton Scandal. When that American, Jefferson, was being sentenced, the President’s wife was mentioned as having wired $170,000 to Jefferson. Her name was on page 25 of the sentencing of Jefferson. We can serialize the judgment for people to see and read,” Fayose’s press secretary, Idowu Adelusi said.
In an earlier reaction, Nigeria’s Presidency dismissed as “laughable’’ the attempt by Gov. Ayo Fayose of Ekiti to link President Buhari’s wife, Aisha, to US Congressman William Jefferson’s bribery scandal for which the American lawmaker was convicted in 2009.
Malam Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on Media and Publicity, said this in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday.
He said that ordinarily the presidency would have ignored Fayose because “he is a man childishly obsessed with the desire to grab the headlines and insulting people at will because of his incurably boorish instincts.’’
He said that the presidency chose to respond on this occasion for the sake of innocent Nigerians who might be misled by Fayose’s “shameless and blatant distortion of facts.’’
Shehu said:
“Ignoring Fayose carries the risk of giving traction and credibility to outright and brazen falsehoods inconsistent with the status of anybody that calls himself a governor or leader.’’
The SSA explained that Aisha had no direct, indirect or the remotest connection with William Jefferson’s corruption scandal in the United States.
He challenged Fayose to tell Nigerians “if the so-called Aisha whose pictures he proudly, but ignorantly shared, was the same Aisha married to President Muhammadu Buhari.’’
He also challenged Fayose to tell Nigerians “if the Aisha of his idle imagination had any relationship by blood or any relationship in whatever form with the President Buhari’s wife.’’
Shehu further challenged Fayose to produce evidence from the records of investigation and subsequent trial of Jefferson to prove that Buhari’s wife was in anyway linked to the scandal.
He said, “common names alone are not enough to automatically link innocent people to crimes or scandals, especially in an era of identity thieves.’’
The SSA called on Fayose to show proof when and where Aisha Buhari was invited for interrogation in connection with William Jefferson’s bribery scandal, let alone indicted for a crime locally or abroad.
He said that free speech does not entitle Fayose to falsely accuse innocent people of crimes they knew nothing about.
He warned that Aisha Buhari was entitled to protect her reputation from being recklessly maligned, adding that “political opposition is not a licence to attack people’s reputation brazenly without legal consequences.’’
A few days ago, a young lady who goes by the name Motunrayo Hermeenat Mustapha, caused a sensation when she took to her Instagram page to accuse a man believed to be her ex-boyfriend, of being a ritualist and a notorious fraudster and also planning to run out of the country to Dubai.
The young man in question, Abiodun Abdullahi Akinlawon, did not take the accusation and invited the police to arrest her after many Nigerians called for him to be arrested and prosecuted.
Motunrayo was arrested and even at the police station, she insisted that she had recordings of Akinlawon telling her he would use her for rituals.
She also posted on her Instagram page that Akinlawon had bribed the police to arrest and detain her but in a video posted on Akinlawon’s Facebook page shortly after, Motunrayo is seen denying saying she had any recording indicting him, as well as apologizing for what he did.
Here is what transpired between them:
Abiodun Akinlawon: “I heard people say you claimed I have bribed the Nigerian police to arrest you.”
Motunrayo Hermeenat Mustapha: “There is nothing like that.”
Abiodun Akinlawon: “So why are you blackmailing me?”
Motunrayo Hermeenat Mustapha: “I’m sorry about everything. Please forgive me.”
Adekunle Gold is getting set to release his first studio album aptly titled GOLD. The singer has since had a photoshoot with famed photographer TY Bello which we posted this morning.
Speaking on his album, he wrote on Social Media:
“When the thought to start working on album came, I was not sure what I wanted to call it. I prayed to God(as always) to give me a name.
I started talking to my friends to give me ideas. @miss_zbuhari and I were talking about the album title one evening and she mentioned “Gold” amongst many other names, but I dismissed the idea.
I took my confusion to Twitter and asked friends to suggest a name. Almost everybody suggested “Gold”. Shame didn’t let me go back to Zahra to tell her I’m going with ‘Gold’ until weeks after. Lol.
I spoke to @tybello about my ideas for the album art. She told me she had gotten a revelation 2 days earlier, about Bazaleel of Exodus 31. She didn’t need to explain too much, because I fell in love with the idea almost immediately and started feeling like Bazaleel.
I had an amazing time working with @tybello. She’s phenomenal. I was thrilled that she loved the songs on the album, even though they weren’t finished. Thank you TY!
Stay tuned guys, more exciting news coming up”

A Nigerian lady has written a very appreciative love letter to her current man in appreciation of his contributions to her self-development just when she thought her life was over.
Delectable Actress Opeyemi Aiyeola shared a selfie with her husband with an interesting caption.
Below is what she wrote
“Well! This is the real me,the natural me…no make up,no hairdo…just me and my sweetheart.
But do you know why I actually did this? ‘Am trying to prove a point to everyone out there that, without adding anything, powder, body cream and all manner of makeovers,an ideal human,be it man or woman can still look good and naturally presentable… Don’t get me wrong?I am not saying Making up is wrong,of course looking good is good business…but I just realized virtually everyone of us have somehow been chained under the belief that,we can never be appreciated, loved or welcomed in the society, without the help of Making up or adding special effects to our look…and really I feel that’s wrong.
We came to the world without makeup, looking natural n beautiful but as we grow we’ve come to realize the advantages in looking good.
Am African, and believe me ‘am proud of who I am,much as I thank God for the look… Show me what you have ladies and gentlemen, beautiful creatures of God all over the world? Take your selfie, post and tag me?let’s see who rocks it best?’am sure you would be surprised how handsome and pretty you can still be without the Make up?”

Tonto who welcomed a son four months ago and has refused to show the world how her aby looks like shared an image of her Post-baby bod on her instagram page and wrote:
“Once upon a time, a group of 50 people attended a seminar. Suddenly the speaker stopped and started giving each person a balloon. Each one was asked to write his/her name on it using a marker pen. Then all the balloons were collected and put in another room. Now these delegates were let in that room and asked to find the balloon which had their respective names written on within 5 minutes. Everyone was frantically searching for their names, pushing and colliding with each other, and there was utter chaos. At the end of 5 minutes, no one could find their own balloons. Now each one was asked to randomly collect a balloon and give it to the person whose name was written on it. Within minutes everyone had their own balloons. The speaker began: “This is exactly what is happening in our lives. Everyone is frantically looking for happiness all around, not knowing where it is. Our happiness lies in the happiness of other people. Help them Find their happiness and you will get your own happiness too. Let go of self. And this is one of the purposes of human life… Learn to put a smile on someone’s face, and you will also smile in due season”.
With the introduction of new guidelines for the nation’s foreign exchange market with the adoption of a single structure through the interbank/autonomous window by the Central Bank, the naira on Monday crashed by 31 per cent to 288.85 against the United States dollar on at the close of trading. It closed at 288/dollar at the new official market.
The local currency also depreciated at the parallel market where it closed at 346 to the greenback, down from around 330 and 335 on Friday.
The naira, which was pegged at 197-199 per dollar before the emergence of the new forex policy, closed at 288.85 to the dollar on Monday, with the forces of demand and supply coming to play to determine the value of the nation’s currency after the CBN allowed it to float freely.
The CBN said it cleared a total foreign exchange demand backlog of $4bn with a dollar exchanging for N280 at the foreign exchange market.
The President, Association of Bureau De Change Operators of Nigeria, Alhaji Aminu Gwadabe, said the naira fell to 346 against the dollar at the parallel market, because “the interbank market has not effectively taken off.”
He said,
“There is no way demand can reduce at the parallel market now because the 41 imported items are still banned from accessing official forex market,” he said, adding that the backlog of dollar demand was far higher than $4bn.
“Up untill now, many correspondent banks have yet to send their unmet obligations to the Central Bank of Nigeria. And for the foreign inflow that we are expecting, there is still lack of confidence by the investors as to how liquidity is going to be sustainable so that when they want to move out, they won’t have the problem of dollar scarcity. So, they are watching to see how liquid the market will be, and that will take a couple of weeks before this can be unravelled,” Gwadabe explained.
Several muslim clerics took over a school in Osun to ensure compliance with the rule on wearing hijab to school by Muslim students.
Up to 25 muslim clerics in Osun on Monday morning visited St. Charles High School in Osogbo and Ife Oluwa Middle School to enforce the June 3rd court judgement that female Muslim students should start wearing hijab to schools.
According to ThisDay, the clerics went to the school around 8am to enforce the court order.
The principal of St. Charles’ High School, Mr. Anthony Famoriyo, reportedly informed them that he could not fulfil their request because he was yet to be directed by the Ministry of Education to that effect.
Famoriyo, when contacted by journalists inside the school, said he told them that no teacher would prevent any student from wearing hijab the moment they receive such directive from the state government.
However, Islamic followers forcefully enforced the use of Hijab on those identified to be Muslim girls in the school.
Academic activities in the school were distrupted as the group also stormed classrooms to stop teachers on duty.
2face Idibia is finally clearing the air about the alleged beef between his wife, Annie and baby mama, Pero Adeniyi.
Recall a few weeks ago, Annie cause a major buzz on Instagram after she shared some controversial posts about mothers using children against their fathers. She wrote “Shout out to all the separated parent/ex who don’t stress the other parent about seeing their own kids” before lauding 2Baba’s other baby mama Sumbo Ajaba.
Naturally, some of her fans assumed she was throwing shade at Pero Adeniyi, the mother of 2Baba‘s three children who live in America. Soon enough, the drama turned messy and a lady alleged to be Pero’s sister didn’t hesitate to come after Annie with some serious accusations.
Today 2baba, who kept mum throughout the drama, is letting the world know that there is no beef between his wife and Pero.
In fact, according to him, the two are not rivals but actually best friends. The 40-year-old singer made the revelation in a video on Annie’s Snapchat which was captioned, “Pero and I are cool thou, no fighting! 1Love.”
Two days ago, there were reports about a section of the Ogun River flowing through the Kara Cattle Market in Lagos which suddenly disappeared.
Earlier reports were that the river ‘dried up’ and from the pictures and videos shared, people were seen walking on it, testing the river bed for firmness.
But the Lagos State Government has issued a warning to residents.
According to the statement signed by the Commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure Development, Engr. Adebowale Akinsanya, the river is “blocked by vegetation” and it could “open up at any time with dire consequences.”
Here’s exactly what happened: A thick layer of vegetation was forced atop the river by a heavy storm, and this vegetation created a compact layer over the body of water, creating a false firm land which people have been seen walking on. It is very dangerous because at any time, the vegetation could give way, swallowing whatever is atop it.
Akinsanya added this yesterday:
“It is important to notify the public that have been worried about the environmental consequence of a dried up river to note that the flow of the river is still active beneath the vegetation and the situation is been evaluated.
“However, because of the compacted nature of the vegetation residents and onlookers are of the erroneous belief that the river has suddenly dried up and can walk across the vegetation.
“A lot of people that have turned the place to a tourist destination are unaware of the danger lying ahead. It’s important for the public to be aware that the vegetation can give away at any time and can lead to a potential disastrous situation.”
Carrying out any activities on the blockage of this river is unsafe, dangerous and disastrous.
It was yet another bloody day yesterday after one of the buses belonging to popular transport company Peace Mass was involved in a tragic accident in Enugu.
According to the Facebook user Ngene Vivian who shared this story, the accident occurred along Airport Road in Emene, Enugu State, yesterday evening. And from the pictures shared, the bus was badly mangled.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has blocked the account of Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, he operates with Zenith Bank Plc. The governor, who spoke to reporters in Ado-Ekiti on Monday at the premises of the bank, said he had information that the accounts of some of his associates were also affected.
According to a press release by the Chief Preds Secretary to the Governor, Mr Idowu Adelusi, the governor accused some leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a prominent lawyer from the state of being the brains behind the action.
While condemning the action, Fayose said under the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, especially the provisions contained in Section 308, he enjoys immunity and wondered why his personal properties should become the targets of Federal Government and it’s agencies under the guise of fighting corruption.
“Section 308 of the 1999 Constitution gives me immunity just like the President. I wouldn’t know why these people are intolerant of others and in a haste. Let them wait till 2018 when I will end my tenure for them to do their investigation.
The other time the EFCC accused me of embezzling N1.2 billion poultry project fund, I was the one who voluntarily reported myself to the EFCC.
“It was when I got a hint of their move that I wrote a cheque to withdraw some money from the account and I came myself. I was denied access to the account as I was told the EFCC has placed restriction on it. That is executive rascality taken too far. Even when I had case with EFCC my properties were not affected.
“If they say they are investigating money spent on election, does it mean it is only Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that spent money on election? A lot of people and groups supported my campaign then. Where did APC and their leaders get the money they spent on 2015 general elections from? Now it is only in PDP that they find thieves, to them there are no theieves in the APC.
“A lot of petitions were written against former Governor Kayode Fayemi and the EFCC has not asked him a question up till now. The diversion of N850 million fund meant for Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board is there and nobody is asking Fayemi questions.
“Even the President cannot claim to be an angel. We can serialize the judgment for people to see and read. “We will not allow this and we will defend our rights within the law of the land. Those who think they can silence me are mistaken. I am a person who is not perturbed by things like this. Let them wait till 2018 when I will finish my term and I will be the one to go and meet them. I won’t run away and let them investigate the whole world, I have nothing to hide or fear,” he said.
Fayose said he would challenge the action appropriately.
