Nigerian singer, Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni, has taken to social media to open up about her health challenges in the past few weeks.
Teni recalled how she initially thought she could be pregnant due to her reluctance to eat or socialize.
The singer described the struggles she had while battling her health in a video she posted on her Instagram account on Friday. She was unwell and sad at the same time during that period.
The Sugar Mummy of Lagos also thanked her fans and urged them to praise God on her behalf while showing off the several drugs she had to take before finally getting better.

A Nigerian man, Chukwu Solomon, has gotten people talking on social media after he killed a snake that wandered into his site and used it to cook pepper soup.
The proud man took to Facebook to share the incident on Thursday, July 27, alongside photos of the snake and a video of him relishing the food.
According to him, he enjoyed the meal so much that he slept for almost five hours after eating.
“Earlier today, the snake came to my site. Well I was sharp enough to spot it. We kîlled it and used it to prepare delicious pepper soup. It was so yummy that I slept for almost 5hours. What God can not do doesn’t exist,” he wrote.

Big Brother Naija All Stars housemates, Whitemoney and Mercy Eke, have struck a deal between them to increase their chances of surviving evictions and making it to the finals.
During a conversation in the house on Thursday, July 27, Whitemoney informed Mercy Eke about a plot against them by the other housemates.
According to Whitemoney, the other housemates are not happy that both of them, who had previously won their own editions of the show, are back in the house, competing for the 120 million naira prize.
They agreed that to make it to the finals and ultimately win the grand prize, they need to be strategic.
Whitemoney promised never to nominate Mercy Eke and urged her to do the same, to which she obliged.

Medical students face notoriously challenging and stressful final exams that require years of meticulous study. Despite facing several obstacles, this determined group of individuals confronted them with determination. On the fateful day, they gathered anxiously to discover their fate.

The Nigeria Police Force has revealed its intentions to investigate and perhaps prosecute comedian, Abdulgafar Abiola, popularly known as “Cute Abiola,” for his disrespectful usage of police uniforms in two social media skits uploaded on July 20 and July 24.
In a statement issued today, July 27, the Nigeria Police Force’s spokesperson, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, stated that the skits show a highly disrespectful and derogatory portrayal of the police uniform, an action that is in direct violation of Section 251 of the Criminal Code and Section 133 of the Penal Code Law.’
According to Adejobi, such activities are not only disrespectful but also degrade the integrity and dignity of the men and women who wear the uniform in service to the country.
In as much as the law grants Nigerians the right to enjoy their fundamental human rights, the same law prohibits an individual, under whatever guise, from rubbishing the police institution or grossly violating its provisions with regards to the use of uniforms.
We, therefore, vehemently condemn the contemptuous act displayed by comedian Abdulgafar Abiola, popularly known as “Cute Abiola,” in two recent skits posted on his social media handles on 20th and 24th July, 2023. The skits in question show a highly disrespectful and derogatory portrayal of the police uniform, an action that is in direct violation of Section 251 of the Criminal Code and Section 133 of the Penal Code Law. Such acts are not only offensive but also undermine the integrity and dignity of the men and women who wear the uniform in service to the nation.
Abdulgafar Abiola will be investigated and possibly prosecuted for his deliberate acts as the NPF had already warned skit makers and filmmakers to desist from desecrating its uniform or accoutrements. The Force is committed to upholding the sanctity of the uniform and will pursue due legal process to ensure accountability for any individual or entity that seeks to bring disrepute to the uniform or the institution it represents. We call on all members of the public, including media personalities, to exercise their freedom of expression responsibly and avoid engaging in actions that could erode public trust in our revered law enforcement institutions.

Popular Nigerian clergyman, David Ibiyeomie, has stirred reactions online after revealing the monthly amount he supplies his wife for merely feeding.
The pastor revealed the information during a recent sermon while warning married ladies to be cautious with the money entrusted to them.
The General Overseer of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, revealed that he used to pay his wife N600k per month for feeding and N500k to N600k for every service.
However, due of the size of his residence and his huge family, he eventually upped the feeding amount to N1 million every month.
In his words;
“I used to give my wife N600k for feeding a month, then I use to give every service N500 to 600k per service when I was giving her N600k per month.
Then I shifted to N1 million per month, my house is big. All women who are not prudent, please be prudent. Don’t tell me your husband is rich so you waste money. If with all the wealth I have my wife can use 1 million.”

A Nigerian woman has taken to social media to share her marital agony after her spouse began cheating on her.
She said in a Facebook post that she is considering divorce since her husband stated that he never intended to marry her because she is a graduate and wants to control him.
According to Gloria, her spouse is a high school graduate and their marriage was great at first but he began changing suddenly.
She wrote;
“I am five years in marriage and we have two children, I am a graduate and I am working, my husband is a sec school cert and he has hand work but that’s not a problem for me I love my husband, we had a very beautiful beginning and lots of good plans for the future but all of a sudden I noticed that my husband is beginning to cheat on me.
At some point he was apologizing but lately he started telling me that I was not the one he wanted to marry, that I am too wise because I am a graduate I want to control him, so want to mingle with his level.
I was confused and was wondering the things I do that makes him feel that I am controlling him but couldn’t figure out anything.. one day I went to report him to his sister that was when I got to know that the sister has been the one planting the idea of cheating in him, that Igbo people are too wise and this one now is a graduate better look for your level.
Three weeks ago I had misunderstanding with my husband, the following morning I greeted him he said I should stop greeting him up till now he doesn’t talk to me, we are just living like house mates we don’t talk to each other, the fact that he cheats no longer border me because I am working even the children school fees I am the one paying. My plan is to save up money and pack out because he no longer regard me as a person or what do you think I should do? Sorry for the lengthy typing”
A UK-based Nigerian doctor has reportedly lost custody of his 16-year-old son after physically beating him with a belt.
According to a child advocate who shared the story after attending the court proceeding, the Nigerian doctor disciplined his son when he caught him watching an inappropriate video with his friends who were visiting their house for a sleep-over.
The boy’s friends reportedly called the police, who then took him away. They also informed the police that while flogging his son, the doctor repeatedly told him, “Is this how you’ll become a doctor?”
During the court proceedings, the 16-year-old testified that his father frequently subjects him to corporal punishment and is pressuring him to pursue a career he doesn’t want.
After considering the boy’s testimony, the court ruled in favor of taking him away from his father’s custody, placing him under the care of the UK government.

A Nigerian woman went wild with excitement after her favourite gospel singer, Apekeola, surprised her on her birthday.
The lady turned a new age recently and her loved ones decided to pull an incredible surprise on her by inviting her favorite singer to perform for her.

Reality TV star, Queen Mercy Atang, has drummed support for her co-star, Ilebaye, who she says is facing intimidation in the Big Brother Naija All-Stars house.
Recall that a new season of the show began last Sunday, featuring housemates from previous seasons competing for the N120 million grand prize.
Ilebaye, a contestant from the 2022 “level-up” season, is also among the returning housemates alongside her colleagues, Doyin and Adekunle.
During the nomination session on Monday, July 24, Kiddwaya nominated Ilebaye and referred to her as a ‘low-hanging fruit’ and a ‘red meat in the midst of lions.’ He insinuated that she should leave the show early so the stronger contenders can compete.

Nigerian content creator, Ogechi Nkonu, popularly known as Caramel Plug, has reportedly arrested the vendor who accused her of receiving free cloth and not giving credit on social media.
The vendor, identified as Ruchy, had claimed that Caramel received a dress from her for free and promised to give her credit, but failed to do so. She also shared screenshots of her purported chat with the skit maker as evidence.
However, the accusation was proven false when the actual vendor, Layi, stepped forward with proof, including her chat with Caramel where they discussed and finalized the dress purchase, along with the payment receipt. Read here
Following the incident, it was gathered that Caramel has arrested the vendor for spreading misleading information about her.
A video circulating online shows someone, presumed to be Caramel Plug, sitting in a black SUV in front of Ruchy’s house, accompanied by policemen who picked her up.
According to a Twitter user who shared the update, the vendor has been in police custody since Wednesday, July 26.
He also claimed that Caramel is demanding an apology from the vendor, but she has refused to do so.
He wrote,
“Caramel used police to arrest the vendor who called her out few days ago over the free cloth issue, she said the police men came in disguise to give her a gift in a tinted vehicle, you can see Caramel in the first frame.
She said was about to make a call then Caramel told the police men to bundle her inside the car and not let her use her phone, she has been in Maroko Station, Lagos since yesterday up till now.
She said Caramel wants her to beg before she tells the police to release her, imagine. The vendor has vowed not to beg.
She also mentioned they asked her for settlement but she refused to drop.”
