Lagos is a busy and bustling place and it could be really difficult finding the perfect man as most of the guys you see on the roads are looking for ladies to devour.
Below are some of the simple ways of finding responsible and eligible single men in Lagos:
1. Attend weddings:
As soon as you step onto the ground of this lovely city, do not consider locking yourself up and staying within the confines of your house always. No man would come looking for you if you do not put yourself out there.
When you are in this large city, attend social functions as much as you can. Weddings especially would attract men from all works of life; make yourself attractive so as to be able to gain the attention of the men in that gathering.
Do not overdo it though, so you do not end up embarrassing yourself. However, if you play your cards well and get lucky to catch the bouquet, then you just might be lucky.
Senator Murray Bruce who is very active on twitter with his “Commonsense” series and tweets, gave social media users a chance to laugh off their pains for a moment as the news of the fuel subsidy removal made waves around Nigeria.
Someone had apparently asked the Senator to give some advice on how to survive the fuel subsidy removal and the man gave a hilarious answer to the inquirer.
He then shared the story with his followers on Twitter.
My name is Nonso and I live and work in Lagos. I have been married to Chika for six years now but I think the marriage is crumbling because of my wife’s refusal to have a baby.
She works as a marketer in a new generation bank and she does not see child bearing as her priority now because it would hamper her career progression. In the years we have been married, she has aborted two pregnancies.
The first one, she pleaded with me to allow her do away with it because she had just gotten the job and would not make her function very well.
The second time, she did not tell me about it but when I found out and told her I was not happy with it, she flared up and asked if what I made as a salary would be able to sustain the family.
Now she is two months pregnant and is insisting on another abortion because, according to her, she is due for a promotion and does not want anything to jeopardize her chances. I am adamant that she must keep the baby but she says she would rather divorce me.
Two weeks ago, the issue caused a big quarrel and my wife told me to my face whether I am even sure the baby is mine. That statement really shocked me and I know I can’t take it any longer.
A 300 level Law Student of the University of Lagos – Dolapo Olusesi has reportedly been arrested and detained by the police after a lecturer in the school, Dr Karo Ogbinaka, reported him to the police for posting a caricature photo of him on Facebook.
A student of the school and friend of Dolapo, Olatunji Oluwadamilare, shared the story on Facebook. He wrote;
“Fellow Akokites, the reality is upon us. At about 6:40pm today the 11th of May, a fellow Akokite was arrested. His crime? He reposted a picture on his Facebook page of the deputy Dean 2 of the Students Affairs Division in person of Dr Karo Ogbinaka. Dr Karo made complaints to the Alpha base that he found the picture to be a threat to his life and therefore he should be arrested. Fellow Akokites, we are writing exams and our brother is at the moment in police custody for reposting a picture on his Facebook page. Our school authority are now demi gods that should be constantly revered. All attempts to bail Dolapo Olusesi has proven futile as the policemen claim they have been asked by the school management not to release him to serve as a lesson to others. A call put through to the DSA has proven futile as the DSA has asked that he be left there. Dolapo Olusesi is a 300 Law student. Dolapo needs to read for exams. Dolapo is at the moment in a cell. We call for the immediate release of a fellow learning colleague as this is an abysmal act on the part of the school authority. #FreeDolapo
Delectable Yoruba Actress, and Happy Mother of two boys – Opeyemi Aiyeola who tied the knot with her beau – Olayiwola Abdulwakil Owolomonse, in 2007, recently talked about her marriage and how it changed her life in an interview.
She said, “Marriage has made me to understand that two heads are better than one. Actually, being in the right relationship is a blessing. Life isn’t a bed of roses, but with a good partner and good people around me, and of course, God on my side, I am always victorious.
Asked what it takes to have a great marriage and she responded:
“God’s grace, true love, contentment, submission and of course, forgiveness.”
My name is Elder Bawa Buba, an ordained Elder of Seventh-day Adventist Church Miya, in Ganjuwa LGA of Bauchi state.
I write to petition to you over the abduction and islamization of my 13 year old daughter Alheri Bawa by her uncle Mal Dauda Buba without my consent and approval.
On the 13th April 2016, my daughter left Miya town to visit her uncles in our family compound in Siri Village. She later followed one of her uncle’s children to spend the weekend in Bauchi city..
I thought she was in the village but after three days I sent for her to come back home but was told she has followed her uncle’s children to Bauchi.
I made a called to Dauda Buba, who is a son to my Elder brother, to whom my daughter has gone to visit to enquire whether my daughter was with him as reported.
To my surprise he confirmed the information and told me that he has also islamized her and that I should forget about seeing her any time soon. I was shocked and thought it was a joke.
I asked him why he didn’t discuss it with me and my daughter has never mentioned such an intention. He told me that I should just understand and allow my daughter remain with him.
This is a big issue because when Christianity and Islam came to our village, I accepted Christianity while other of my brothers accepted Islam. Few are still practicing traditional religion. I was seen as an outcast in the family till date. I believe he did something to my daughter and she’s not in her right sense right now.
My story continues. I went to the village and reported the issue to my brothers who were not pleased with Dauda did. They all expressed displeasure over the issue and call upon Dauda to return my daughter to me but he told them he won’t and that Bauchi state Sharia Commission and other big names are aware of the girl’s change of faith and since I’m doing nothing at the moment I cannot drag with me. My family members were helpless and advice me to take the case to Hakimin Miya, Alhaji Sulaiman Yakubu.
I reported to Hakimin Miya who went to Bauchi and asked him to return my daughter. He told Hakimi he will but did not after 3 days Hakimi sent his dogari to Bauchi but he could not. Hakimi now told me to take the case further.
I reported to Gajuwa Police Division, the DPO Mr Tambuwal, told me that it’s not in his jurisdiction that I should report to GRA Bauchi Division. I have no resources at all for these. I asked my Church pastor for help since the issue have gone beyond family. One of my brother gave me the address of Mal Dauda Buba, the abductor my daughter, who work as a security man in GRA, after Nehima Clinic, Behind Govt House Bauchi. I went to the house and I was lucky to meet him at the gate. With my Church pastor and a deacon in Church, we greeted with him. I then asked why he love to bring problem to my family. I told him the pain and trauma he has brought to my family just because he feel I’m poor and will have no one to stand for me while he will use my daughter’s conversion for personal gain among the Muslim elites in the state, especially the state Sharia Commission which he is boasting of in the phone with me.
To my surprise he told me that the issue is no longer family but religious so I should put family aside and accept that fact or I should go to Sharia Commission who are the only ones with power to release my daughter from him.
As we were talking my daughter came out excited to seeing me and wanted to follow me home, I held her hands and asked her to enter the pastor’s car so that we’ll go home. As she was going, Mal Dauda Buba rushed and held unto her hijab and told her that she is irresponsible and she will not follow me unless the sharia commission are here since they are aware of her decision. My daughter shouted “Na FASA, na FASA” that’s “I’m not longer interested”. At this points we started dragging with him over my daughter. Within seconds the place was filled with hoodlums who wanted to turn the issue into a religious crisis. They threatened to burn my pastor’s car. They place became and the tension was high. Mal Dauda was shouting, “this religious issue, not family”, ” He brought his church people”.
At this point some Muslim leaders in the area came and expressed their disapproval towards Mal Dauda’s action as unIslamic but he insisted that he will not let her go. They now told my pastor to see how he will get me out of the place because I was no longer in my right mind because of the pains and trauma I have been through and my daughter’s willingness to follow me. I was ready to die with my daughter in my hand.
The hoodlums were increasing in number and the Muslim elders begged my pastor to take me away and that I should not worry, the police will return my daughter to me because mal Dauda’s action and the boys around is not Islam.
My pastor now dragged me by force into the car And drove away from the scene.
Later on we went to GRA Division Police station and laid our complaints. The police were quick in action at the beginning. They attached a policeman to us who later arrested the man and brought him to the station.
The man was asked to sit behind the counter to explain his side. The man then made a call to the Sharia Commission. They requested to speak with the police. After speaking with the police, the man was ask to come to the front of counter by Inspector Abdulraman Dass who was in charge. The man now begin to speak boldly. We were just watching with surprise.
The station DCO ASP Joseph came out immediately and ask me to go to court and request for the custody of my daughter. That it’s a civil case. My 13 year daughter is abducted, Islamized and forced to stay with a criminal and the police called it a civil case. We were ask by the DCO to hire a lawyer and go to court over my daughter.
Were is the money to file a case? Which court should I go to? Sharia Court? I’m in trauma and pain. All I want is the custody of my daughter Alheri Grace Bawa. Pls sir, use your office to return my daughter back to me. I’m home in the village back to my wife and remaining 5 children as we weep and wait for justice for me and my family.

Estranged best friends Oge Okoye and Ini Edo are back together and this time around, their friendship seems to be sealed with a very strong bond.
If you talk about movie stars who are always together, then this clique of stars Ini Edo,Oge Okoye, Ebube Nwagbo and Rukky Sanda readily comes to mind. Infact they seem to be the hottest clique of friends in the movie industry. They are always everywhere together, sometimes even outside the state.
However, this was not the case for award winning stars Oge Okoye and Ini Edo in recent past, as they were more like cat and dog. But these pretty movie stars who were once at war have not only sheath their swords but they have become very close again and now step out together to various events.
Their rift dated back to 2008,precisely after Ini Edo got married to her ex husband Philip Ehiagwina in the United states. They were so close back then that Oge was the only actress who flew to the states to attend Ini’s white wedding. But after the wedding, reports sufficed online that the two best friends parted ways.
Hints Weekly reported that the two who used to be best of friends were fighting the battles of their lives, unknown to many people. It further revealed that the problem was beyond re conciliatory attempts by mutual friends of the two to resolve the matter. The feud allegedly started a few years back when Ini accused Oge Okoye of being behind some of her private issues which found its way into the press.
It was also reported that Ini Edo was the reason Oge Okoye allegedly lost the Globacom Ambassador endorsement deal, which is reputed to have fetched over thirty million naira each for the artistes. 2 years after,it was also reported that the two actresses had a face off at a location in Festac.
However, amidst these rumours, none of the parties came out to debunk nor affirm the allegations but one thing was certain, they were not spotted together again at any event or gathering. The closeness they currently share was missing in the last couple of years as they simply avoided each other until last year when peace was brokered between the divas.
On how they reconciled, only close friends of the duo are privy to that scenario but thier reconciliation became public last year November when Ini Edo stormed Oge Okoye’s birthday party which held in a yatch in Lagos. The mother of two who also owns a make upline, Crystal Glam held an elaborate and classy Prest Dinner Cruise yatch birthday party .
The party had a lot of celebrities including the celebrants best friends (BFF) Oge Okoye and Rukky Sanda. But surprisingly, movie star Ini Edo showed up and she had fun to the hilt. She also played a key role which was praying for the celebrant. From that moment, it was obvious the friendship that existed between them from inception had been rekindled.
On Ini’s birthday last month, Oge sent out a birthday message that reads “Happy birthday my day 1 paddy. You are still as charming, talented ,genuine and kind as the day I met you.Today is your day my love, may beauty and happiness surround you always.
We can authoritatively confirm. The actresses are back together and have been stepping out together as well. They stormed Warri recently alongside their mutual friend, star actress Ebube Nwagbo for an event that had a lot of top comedians in attendance. It is also alleged that the curvy and stylish actress Ebube Nwagbo may have been the one who reconciled her two friends.
The lingering economic crisis in Nigeria has continued to take a painful toll on the nation’s once vibrant sectors like manufacturing and services, with many firms succumbing to the tough situation.
Since the crisis began, a few banks have been acquired by stronger players in the industry; while some others were forced to concede their entities to Assets Management Company of Nigeria, AMCON. Those who have not been acquired are either in the takeover process or closing down altogether.
Against this backdrop, very few banks have been able to sufficiently weather the storm due to their efficient management personnel. One of those companies is First City Monument Bank, Nigeria’s largest retail lender.
In 2015 alone, FCMB granted over 240,000 loans to Nigerian retailers in order to help shore up the country’s moribund retail economy, even as most other Nigerian banks remained notorious for their contempt for small business owners.
Similarly, FCMB is amongst the few banks certified by the Central Bank of Nigeria to help disburse the N220billion Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, MSMEs, fund.
Unfortunately, all these strong indications have done little to dissuade some misguided elements within the banking industry from making false claims against this vibrant institution. They have been making concerted efforts to create chaos and set the public against one of Nigeria’s most innovative banks.
The latest of such fraudulent claims is contained in an story that has been circulating across the Nigerian blogosphere which purportedly claimed to have it on good authority that the bank is laying off staff and shutting down ‘all its 35 branches’ in the country. This is blatantly false as the bank has more than 200 branches. While the bank is closing some branches due to overlap and the need to move more customers to alternate channels, the affected branches are less than 10 percent of its branch network.
On the flip-side, the bank is also proceeding with its expansion drive in areas where it has low visibility. This year, there are plans by FCMB to open new branches in Gbagada, Kingsway Road, Oyingbo, Oniru, (all in Lagos) and Karu in Abuja. The bank has already received CBN approval for some of these and is actively seeking approval for others.
The distress story cannot be further from the truth. The institution remains committed to its strategy to build a retail led commercial bank and has only found it necessary to consolidate its branch network to drive efficiency and further boost productivity.
On product offering, FCMB has an array of innovative products that cuts across socio-economic and demographic segments. These products (current and savings accounts), which are easy to open and affordable to operate, include nairawise, kids account, Flexx account, (a youth product that meets the needs of this very important segment of the population) as well as the e-savings account.
In the area of electronic payment, FCMB has consistently proved its mettle as a financial institution with robust platforms that ensure secure, convenient and seamless solutions that have been deployed to drive its retail, corporate and commercial banking businesses.
Its alternate channels, such as ATMs, Point of Sales (PoS) terminal, internet banking, mobile banking and telephone banking, enhance customer experience across all touch points. The Bank equally has a suite of card products designed to meet the lifestyles of a wide spectrum of users.
FCMB’s Debit Cards for example have a competitive edge from a service delivery perspective. These cards are issued instantly at all the Bank’s branches nationwide on the MasterCard, Verve and Visa platforms.
There are also, foreign currency (USD and GBP) denominated varieties. Apart from the enhanced security features of FCMB cards such as chip and pin, passport photograph and global SMS alert service, customers are offered 24/7 access to their funds anywhere in the world.
FCMB card holders are welcome to the world of exquisite privileges through the Priority Pass Card which gives cardholders access to over 700 lounges, all at various airports across the world. The pre-paid card serves account holders and non-account holders who are new to the bank and would like to have the cards without necessarily opening accounts.
FCMB’s SME product, known as FCMB Business Account has been described as one of the best in the industry. This product comes with affordable account opening balance, with minimum opening balance of only N5,000 and there are no limits to the frequency or number of times withdrawal can be made, apart from other very friendly features. There is also the FCMB Personal Business Account, which is a current account designed for traders and merchants with reduced cost of banking and protection against the unexpected, arising from disasters such as fire or flood. In addition to reduced banking charges, there is a free cover for loss of stock up to the tune of N1million in case of fire or flood incidents.
And as part of efforts towards encouraging Nigerians to key into the banking system, FCMB initiated a microfinance arm to provide financial services to the unbanked and under-banked low income segment, especially women in the rural parts of the country. Designed as a group lending programme, the aim is to create financial awareness and funding for traders through micro-credit schemes to grow their respective businesses. The pilot in Oyo state had within 5 months provided loans to almost 5,000 women.
To ensure that customers have more opportunities to enjoy financial services without having to visit a conventional banking facility, FCMB also operates an agent banking scheme. Under the scheme, customers may visit non-bank retail outlets (such as supermarkets, gas stations, Pharmacy and stores) all within their communities to perform banking transactions. These non-bank retail outlets are equipped with Points of Sale (PoS) machines that are connected to FCMB’s core banking system. At the moment, the Bank has several agent banking outlets in Lagos with plans to deepen the reach nationwide before the end of this year, 2016.
Also, the Bank recently emerged as the 4th most customer-focused bank in Small and Medium Enterprises (SME), and 5th in retail banking based on the outcome of the 2015 Banking Industry Customer Satisfaction Survey (BICSS) carried out by KPMG, a leading international consulting firm.
Finally and most importantly, FCMB is amongst the few Nigerian banks that enjoy Standard and Poor’s B+/B topnotch rating.
Therefore, this campaign of calumny arose from the figment of the imagination of those who continue to peddle it. Appropriate authorities should take immediate action and fish out all those responsible for the insane dissemination of falsehood against a company of repute in line with President Muhammadu Buhari’s efforts to stop the ongoing hermorrhage of the country’s economy.
Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has condemned the increment from N86.50 to N145 of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) otherwise known as petrol, describing it as insensitive and demonstration of the level of hatred the President Mohammadu Buhari led All Progressives Congress (APC) government had for Nigerians.
The governor, who said the over 70 per cent increment was another vindication of his predictions on what to expect in 2016, added that it was now clear that the scarcity of petrol being experienced in the last three months was deliberately orchestrated by the federal government to pave way for the already conceived increment.
According to his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose said “Nigerians are now left at the mercy of political liars who took over power by deception and are governing by deceit.
He said he was waiting for the reaction of those who took to the streets to protest when fuel subsidy was removed by the Dr Goodluck Jonathan administration in 2012, urging labour unions in the country to stand by their members always, not minding the political party in government. He said;
“When they were seeking for votes from Nigerians, they promised to reduce petrol pump price to from N87 to N45 per litre, they promised to create three million jobs per year, they said $1 will be equal to N1 and above all, they promised to pay unemployed youths N5, 000 stipend and provide one meal a day to pupils nationwide.
“Instead of fulfilling their promises, they have increased petrol pump price to N145 per litre, increased electricity tariffs, retrenched thousands of workers and imposed untold hardships on Nigerians.
“As they did in 2012, if labour leaders do not also stand up for the people at this time, posterity will not forgive them.”
There are some dishes that Nigerians most certainly don’t joke with as we attach a lot of respect to them. Like, you automatically make a bad impression on a Nigerian if you would ever say that these foods are shit.
Having an interview with a Nigerian boss? Or meeting your Nigerian’s boo’s parents? You should know better than badmouthing these food items, irrespective of whatever experience you’ve had with them.
Small Chops
If you’re meaning to get accepted with your new Nigerian colleagues at work, never say small chops is shit. First off, it isn’t so we question your judgement really and secondly, it is not overrated.
As we say “A party without small chops is just an occasions and we hardly go for occasions”. Order yourself a pack of small chops today and feel that ardent mouthgasm really.
Jollof Rice
Jollof Rice deserves a major seat in our coat of arms because Nigerians do not play with jollof rice. For starts, it’s always a safer bet to have jollof rice instead of fried rice when you visit a new restaurant.
Whether it’s the peppery Yoruba rice or it’s the one cooked with firewood or the home cooked one, or served with chicken, beef or fish, we love jollof.
A user on Twitter – @Mr_Svengali had quite a nasty night yesterday with the Nigerian Police when he and three of his friends were picked up by the Policemen from the Ojuelegba Police Command For “Eating out at night”.
According to him, it was a little past 10PM when they were picked up and they were detained for 24 hours with no charges or information on why they were being detained.
His tweets have caused quite a reaction on Nigerian Twitter with several people calling out the injustice of the Nigerian police.
See his tweets below:
Having got back from work at a little past 10, o decided to eat indomie at a popular mai shayi cc @4eyedmonk@Gidi_Traffic
Apparently, he and his friends have been released.

11 May 2016 | PRESS STATEMENT ON CURRENT FUEL SITUATION IN NIGERIA
We have just finished a meeting of various stakeholders presided over by His Excellency, the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The meeting had in attendance the Leadership of the Senate, House of Representatives, Governors Forum, and Labour Unions (NLC, TUC, NUPENG, and PENGASSAN).
The meeting reviewed:
1. The current fuel scarcity and supply difficulties in the country.
2. The exorbitant prices being paid by Nigerians for the product. These prices range on the average from N150 to N250 per litre currently.
3. The meeting also noted that the main reason for the current problem is the inability of importers of petroleum products to source foreign exchange at the official rate due to the massive decline of foreign exchange earnings of the federal government. As a result, private marketers have been unable to meet their approximate 50% portion of total national supply of PMS.
Following a detailed presentation by the Honorable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, it has now become obvious that the only option and course of action now open to the government is to take the following decisions:
1. In order to increase and stabilise the supply of the product, any Nigerian entity is now free to import the product, subject to existing quality specifications and other guidelines issued by Regulatory Agencies.
2. All Oil Marketers will be allowed to import PMS on the basis of FOREX procured from secondary sources and accordingly PPPRA template will reflect this in the pricing of the product.
Pursuant to this, PPPRA has informed me that it will be announcing a new price band effective today, 11th May, 2016 and that the new price for PMS will not be above N145 per litre.
We expect that this new policy will lead to improved supply and competition and eventually drive down pump prices, as we have experienced with diesel. In addition, this will also lead to increased product availability and encourage investments in refineries and other parts of the downstream sector. It will also prevent diversion of petroleum products and set a stable environment for the downstream sector in Nigeria.
We share the pains of Nigerians but, as we have constantly said, the inherited difficulties of the past and the challenges of the current times imply that we must take difficult decisions on these sorts of critical national issues. Along with this decision, the federal government has in the 2016 budget made an unprecedented social protection provision to cushion the current challenges.
We believe in the long term, that improved supply and competition will drive down prices.
The DPR and PPPRA have been mandated to ensure strict regulatory compliance including dealing decisively with anyone involved in hoarding petroleum products.
Thank you.

Fresh revelations from the Bewajis, Lekan Shonde’s in-laws, have rubbished the accounts of the alleged killer of always providing for the family, leaving his two cars for Ronke and catching her philandering with a manager in the packaging company she worked.
Lekan Shonde, 51, was described as an intensely jealous and insecure husband. The Ogun state indegene who surrendered on Monday, May 9, four days after his wife was discovered lifeless in their Egbeda-Idimu apartment on Friday, May 6, is said to be a recklessly violent man.
From the account of Bolatito, the only surviving sibling of Ronke, Lekan’s explanations are far from the truth.
Here are 10 shockers from Bolatito’s interview with Punch…
1. Lekan’s first physical abuse was in 2012. And the most recent was in December 2015, which almost led Ronke packing out of the house. She had agreed to leave, but changed her mind later. The case was even reported to the police.
2.Ronke, whose brother just passed on, was crying while Bolatito, on instructions of their mum, was begging her to leave him, that December 2015.
3. A pastor and landlady on their street begged on behalf of Lekan Shonde. And she stayed, in spite of the warning.
4. The recent source of rancour was a love child brought by his baby mama. The discovery shattered Ronke. And Lekan was pleading and begging, even volunteering to do a DNA test, which he never did.
5. The love child expose turned Ronke into a quieter woman who stopped talking to her husband.
6. Bolatito claimed Ronke never had a relationship outside wedlock. That it was Lekan’s jealousy and insecurity that fueled his suspicion. That the manager mentioned had a professional relationship with Ronke.
7. On many occasions, three other colleagues of Ronke had been accused of dating her. That even male Facebook friends have been embarrsssed by useless accusations.
8. Lekan kept vigil in front of their house to see who would drop his wife. And accuse her of adultery.
9. The children school fees were sometimes paid by the Bewajis, contrary to Lekan’s account of providing for the family. And sometimes rent. That before she died, she was struggling to raise N70,000 to replace the gear box of her car.
10. Lekan constantly went through Ronke’s phones to see if she was cheating. And constantly trailed her to check if she had lovers.
Just as President Muhammadu Buhari is away to London for anti-corruption summit, the federal government has announced the removal of fuel subsidy.
According to a report on Vanguard, the President Buhari-led Government has today, Wednesday, 11th May 2016, officially removed subsidy on Premium Motor Spirit, also known as petrol as it will now sell for N145 per litre.
This is a developing story, we’ll be bringing you more details later…

These photos of a Frog’s ‘private’ parts were shared on Facebook by Keith Leech, a truck driver from Australia, which caused much humour among social media users.
But the “endowment” or “p*nis” is actually believed to be an “extra partially formed leg” as frogs don’t have a p*nis, according to animal scientists.
Speaking with BuzzzFeed News, Gerry Marantelli from the Australian Amphibian Research Centre said: “It’s not a penis, frogs don’t have them.
“But penises did evolve from ‘legs’ during embryonic development so an extra leg is part way there
“Amphibians in one way likely invented the penis.”

While Nigeria is still reeling from the alleged murder of Ronke Shonde by her husband, Lekan Shonde, a Ghanaian woman, Abena Sarfoa, has suffered the same fate.
The woman who lives with her husband in the Atwima Mim in Ghana, died on Wednesday from an acid attack.
According to Myjoyonline, eye witness accounts report that the woman was allegedly attacked by her husband after the couple had a lover’s spat.
According to a neighbour, Abena was naked when she opened the door and her skin was peeling off. She then rushed to knock on the husband’s door but he did not respond.
Some of the corrosive substance dripped on her limb when she tried to hold her. She said she felt her skin burning.
The husband, Agyaku, was said to have left the scene of the crime after committing the heinous act and is currently at large.
Abena Sarfoa was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

The catch was that he spoke jaw-breaking words, like literally jaw breaking. Words that you probably won’t be able to pronounce when hungry.
When he was interviewed by Vanguard, the law graduate of Politician appealed to his audience to try to understand what he speaks and in his own words.
The intention is not to deliberately befuddle or obfuscate them. I do not set out to deposit my audience in a portmanteau of indecipherability
Which in layman English simply means that he doesn’t mean to confuse us intentionally smh.
But now we ask, if it’s not intentional, what is it Honorable?
We explained a few times Honorable Obahiagbon spoke to us in layman English because life is really too short to look for a dictionary when this man speaks.
1. When he spoke about the death of former ASUU President
“The grand initiation of Professor Festus Iyayi is a lancinating loss of another stentorian voice, against retrograde and prebendal forces of primitive mercantilism. That he passed through transition on matters pro bono publico, bears eloquent testimony to our state of dystopia. Such is the evanescence of life. It’s all vanitas vanitatum”
In layman English: It is a loss of this statesman and the fact that he died in service shows how scary everything is.
2. When he reacted to the DANA plane crash
“We must halt this ludicrously lugubrious kakistocracy. We must demur against demuren (no onomatopoeic extrapolation) intended. The quotidian stentorian atrabilious ululation is abyssopelagic. The country is on a precipice of apocalyptic crepuscule.”
Layman English: The country is not working well. Everything is going one kain

President Muhammadu Buhari says he is more interested in recovering the stolen assets of Nigeria in the UK than demanding an apology from Prime Minister David Cameron who made a scathing remark about Nigeria.
Speaking on Wednesday at a meeting hosted by Commonwealth ahead of the anti-corruption summit in London, President Muhammadu Buhari, has said he is more interested in recovering the stolen assets of Nigeria in the UK than demanding an apology from Prime Minister David Cameron who made a scathing remark about Nigeria on Tuesday.
“I’m not going to demand any apology. All I demand is a return of assets. What would I do with apology?.
“I have already mentioned how disgraceful one of the Nigerian executive dressed as a woman to leave Britain, leaving behind his bank account and fixed asset, which Britain is prepared to hand over to us, this is what I’m asking for. What will I do with apology? I need something tangible,” the president asked.
Describing corruption as a ‘hydra headed monster’, President Buhari said it does not differentiate between developed and developing countries.
“Corruption is a hydra headed monster. It does not differentiate between developed and developing countries. It constitutes a serious threat to good governance, rule of law, peace and security as well as well as development programmes aimed at tackling poverty and economic backwardness,” he said.
“This consideration informed my decision to attend this event as well as the anti-corruption summit organised by Prime Minister David Cameron that will be held tomorrow. Tackling the menace of corruption is not an easy task, but it is possible even if many feathers have to be ruffled,” Buhari concluded.
It was widely reported that the Prime Minister had referred to Nigeria as a ‘fantastically corrupt’ country during a meeting with Queen Elizabeth. His comment went viral and as expected and sparked negative reaction across the world, with Transparency International describing Britain as ‘a safe haven for corrupt assets.’
Facebook user, Olubunmi Ajai Layode shared a picture of a woman whose husband allegedly smashed a plank on her head during an argument at their home. She wrote;
“SOS! I’m in private inbox with a lady who has fled DV She is in Abuja with her sister. Her family is putting pressure on her to go back to her husband. Her mother says ‘da’le mosu’ – single parenthood is not good. Her father who is retired is fending for her. Can we have Abuja helpers please! She sent me several pictures but asked me not to show her face. This one below is one where he smashed a plank on her head. And her family want her to go back to the man! They say there is no couple that don’t fight. Yes. But how many smash planks on their spouses’ heads? Can we get help in Abuja please! She needs a job, shelter. She’s got kids. Her son wakes up in the night screaming ‘MUMMY! DADDY IS GOING TO KILL YOU!’
The assistant head pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Lekki Phase 1 branch and prominent civil rights attorney/human rights activist, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, was arrested yesterday afternoon at his Lekki office by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The said money was credited to his Zenith Bank’s account, from where he disbursed the funds to others including churches.
EFCC officials said the legal practitioner acted illegally by leasing out a property which is a subject of an Interim Forfeiture Order by a Lagos State High Court.
Adegboruwa, who also a vocal critic of the Nigerian government doubles as a lawyer to wanted Niger Delta militant, Government Ekpemupolo aka “Tompolo.” An EFCC source said Mr. Adegboruwa will be charged to court as soon as possible.
