According to the latest report, popular female singer, Chidinma Ekile has called it quit with her record label, Capital Hill records following the expiration of her contract with the label in February 2016.
The 2010 MTN projet fame winner has been with the label since her rise to fame after winning the talent hunt. She decided not to renew the deal when it expired to reasons best known to her.

In an exclusive interview with Daily Sun in a private home in Abuja, Ese who was abducted by Yinusa Yellow said it was only after she got to Kano and saw that the people and the environment were strange that she realised she was no longer at home.
She also told Daily Sun that her real age was 14, not 17 as was being speculated.
She said she was born in February 2002.The girl, who now has a deep Hausa accent and speaks Hausa very fluently, said she had to adjust to her new environment.

We sell food in Bayelsa; so they, Yellow and his other people, used to come and buy food from us.

People say Inuwa is your boyfriend. Is this true?
No, he is not my boyfriend. Like I told you, we sell food in Bayelsa, and so, he used to come and buy food from us. He is not the only one; they are many and I used to play with all of them like my own brothers because they buy food from us. I sell food to them just like that.
Can you remember the day he took you from Bayelsa to Kano? How did it happen?
I don’t know.
Did he tell you that you were traveling to Kano?
No. We didn’t go with his Keke (tricycle). His keke, is at home.
Did he come to the house to carry you?

So, how did you travel to Kano?
I just followed him. I don’t know how I followed him.
People believe that you decided to run away with him because you love him and want to marry him at all cost.
I know that we used to play with all of them, our customers that come to buy food from our shop. There is nobody that is different. I sell food to all of them and I laugh with all of them.
So, how did you know you were in Kano since you didn’t know how you got there?
I saw that the place was different and the people there are people that I didn’t know. So, I knew it was his place because I did not know anybody there, but only him. We went to their house first.
So, what did you do?
I did not do anything.
What did you tell him?
I did not tell him anything.
So, you just started staying with him like that?
We travelled to Kura the next day with one man like that. He is the chief of the town. When we got there, they took me to one place and there they gave me hijab; they put it on me. And after that, they took me to one house in Kura. And from there on Monday, in the morning, we went back to the Emir’s Palace in Kano; then in the afternoon, we travelled back to Kura, to stay in the house.
What did you all go to do at the Emir’s Palace?
At the Emir’s Palace, they were asking him questions. They did not talk to me. They did not ask me anything, but they were asking him. Then they were speaking in Hausa language and I did not understand the language very well that time; so I didn’t understand what they were saying.
Was it at the Emir’s Palace that you first saw your mother?
Yes. I saw her, but I was not able to talk to her. I was just looking at her and she was crying. I just looked at her. I did not know her and I did not talk to her.
Did you recognise her as your mother?
I don’t know. I looked at her and she was crying.
But when you saw her on Tuesday at the Police Force Headquarters in Abuja, did you recognise her as your mother?
Yes.
While you were away in Kano, they said you got married. Is this true?
No.
Was there any marriage ceremony?
No, I did not get married to anybody.
But did they convert you to a Muslim?
Yes.
How did that happen?
They took me to one place. Before they took me from the house to Kura, they put me in hijab, then we went to Kura. When we got there, they went to one place, and one old man came there and he would say something and they would say I should repeat. Then I would repeat. If the man said something again, they would say I should repeat and I would repeat just like that.
So, that was how you got converted?
Yes.
There is also this rumour that it was one old man that actually married you and not Inuwa. Is this true?
I did not get married to anybody.
While you were there in Kano, did you ever fall sick?
I don’t know.
What kind of medical attention did you get? Did they give you any injection?
No, I don’t know. But they did not give me because I don’t like taking injections and I will not take injection when I am sick. It was only when they arrested me on Monday in Kano that they took me to the hospital. And when we got here in Abuja, they took me to the hospital again yesterday, Tuesday. Those are the only two occasions that I have gone to the hospital.
Did they give you any medicine?
Medicine? I don’t know. But if they put it in water or food… They used to give me something, but I don’t know if it is water they used to prepare it. But if I am not well, they would buy medicine for me and I would take. But it was not those types of native medicine. It was from the pharmacy.
Are you happy reuniting with your family?
Yes, I am happy to go back to my family.
How do you feel now?
I don’t know how I feel, but I just look calm. I don’t know what to do.
Do you regret what has happened to you?
Yes.
How?
I don’t know, but I have caused my mother a lot of trouble and put her into problem.
If you see Yinusa now, what would you tell him?

How would you relate with your other siblings when you get back home?
I don’t even know. I have a feeling that they would do something to me for this thing that has happened.

A wild drama played out at the NPC church in Valley road in Kenya, when a handful of women stormed the wedding ceremony of one of the church pastors, John Waituha.

The kidnappers of three girls from Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary (BMJS) Ikorodu, Lagos have demanded a N200 million ransom.
Timilehin Olusa, Tofunmi Popoolaniyan and Deborah Akinayo, all SS2 students, were abducted from their classroom at about 9:30pm on Monday during prep.
The kidnappers, contacted the distraught father of one of the girls on Tuesday, demanding N200 million for the three girls, the Nation is reporting.
We also gathered from a parent that the girls have been spoken to, and confirmed that they are okay.
After the kidnappers made contact, an emergency meeting was held between the school’s management, the victims’ anxious parents and security agencies, led by Police Commissioner Fatai Owoseni.
Three other meetings were held between 11am and 4:15pm with the school authorities and security agents.
There are indications that security agencies may have identified the abductors’ location. Teams of military personnel, the police and the Department of State Service (DSS) and the local vigilante group, known as Oyabo, have been deployed to comb the area.
Parents and teachers have intensified prayers for the release of the girls. Lessons did not start yesterday until past 10am.
Some parents who spoke on condition of anonymity blamed the management of the school for lack of adequate security.
They said on various occasions, the management was advised to raise the fence at the School of Science and Technology, but the suggestion was ignored.
However, the school principal, Venerable Olaoluwa Adeyemi who looked very disturbed, vented his anger on reporters who he accused of sabotaging rescue efforts.
Adeyemi, pressed by reporters to comment on the incident, said: “The girls have not been found till this moment and why do you want me to start addressing the press? Is that the only job we are going to do all day? People are busy searching for the girls while you are busy asking questions.
“You cannot keep disturbing us here; all you need do is to join us in prayers. Honestly, you people are not helping matters. In fact, you’re adding to the problem by disturbing what people could have done at the right time,” he said.

Youths of Nigeria, I want to communicate with you today. I noticed that there are too many divisions amongst our youths and as a stakeholder in Nigeria and parent of Nigerian children, I believe I ought to intervene.
Youths, do not make the mistakes my generation made. Do not see yourselves through tribal and religious lens. My generation of Nigerians did that and look where it has led us. You must do better.
It is foolish for any youth to fight another youth over APC or PDP. Let me ask you, what is the difference between the APC and the PDP? Half of the members of the APC are former PDP members and vice versa.
Let me ask you youths a question: Do the APC and the PDP fight over you as you fight over them? How many ministers have they given you? How many ambassadors have they given you? How many heads of parastatals have they given you? That’s right, the answer is ZERO!
So resist the desire of vested interests to control you and use you to fight other youths on social media and in real life.
What youths do not realize is that you are victims of divide and conquer. You make up 60% of the population yet account for 0% of the federal cabinet!

He was said to have taken the photo above, obtained by Premium Times, in 2015, in Bayesla.
He allegedly kidnapped Ese from Yenagoa, Bayelsa capital in August last year and left with her to Kano, where he converted her to Islam and planned to marry her.
According to multiple reports, Yunusa was said to be 18 years old, but his father, Dahiru Bala, claimed his son 22 years old.
The police said Yunusa would face criminal charges for the kidnapping of ESE.
According to reports, 14-year-old Ese Oruru, who was abducted from Bayelsa State and taken to Kano by one Yinusa, is five months pregnant.
The teenager was said to be noticeably pregnant despite an attempt to cover her protruding belly with a hijab, according to Vanguard citing very reliable sources.
Ese is further said to have undergone a test at the Police Medical Facility in Abuja leading to the discovery of her pregnancy.
Her condition reportedly led Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase to change plans to transport her to Bayelsa by road.
The teenager has been reunited with her mother and is expected to return to Bayelsa by air today, March 2, 2016.
Ese’s case has led to widespread outrage around the country since news of her abduction, which took place in August 2015, went public. She was also said to have been forced into marriage and converted to Islam by Yinusa.
The abduction has also been surrounded by much controversy due to the involvement of the Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. Earlier Media reports had it that Yinusa was being protected by persons within the Emir’s palace.
The claim was further strengthened after Arase said that he couldn’t save the girl without Sanusi’s intervention. The Emir however told Punch that he had ordered that Ese be returned home since September 2015.
I ordered her repatriation since September 2015 through the office of the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 1. But to my surprise, the issue is still in between the Sharia Commission, Hisbah (religious police) and the Police,” Sanusi said.
“Ese is under aged and she can’t be married off as an under aged. Every Muslim also knows that marriage can’t be without guidance. She must be taken back to her parents; she can only marry when she reaches the age of 18 years,” Sanusi added.
Meanwhile, Ese has reportedly said that she wasn’t abducted but went with Yinusa of her own accord.
“No. I am not abducted by anybody,” the teenager supposedly said in an audio recording obtained by Premium Times. “My name is Aisha Chuwas. I am 17-year-old. I came here to be a Muslim and I will stay here,” she added.

Earlier today, Police authorities officially handed over abducted 14-year-old girl Ese Oruru to her mother in Abuja after she was rescued by the police from Kano on Monday.
However, the Nation is reporting that journalists were banned from witnessing Ese’s reunion with her mother for unclear reasons.
The reunion was conducted by Force Spokesperson, Kolawale Olabisi at the police headquarters in Abuja. Ms Kolawole addressed the media while Ese’s mother Mrs Rose Oruru thanked the Press, Police, Nigerians for their intervention.
Ese, who will be returning to Bayelsa today with her mum, has insisted that she wants to remain with her alleged abductor in Kano. However, her father Mr Charles Oruru has disclosed that he has concluded plans to seek spiritual assistance from Lagos cleric, Pastor T.B. Joshua, founder of The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN).
Meanwhile, her alleged abductor, Yinusa Yellow, is to be prosecuted even though he denies taking Ese against her will.

Police authorities in Abuja yesterday night said Ese Rita Oruru, freed Monday, will now be officially handed over to her mother, Mrs. Oruru, today.
14-year-old Ese was brought to Police headquarters at Louis Edet House at about 12. 55pm amid tight police protection.
Her dad, Charles Oruru, however disclosed that he has concluded plans to seek spiritual assistance from Lagos cleric, Pastor T.B. Joshua, founder of The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN).
Ese would have been handed over to her mother yesterday, but she was unable to arrive Abuja by 8.00p.m. last night because she travelled from Yenagoa, Bayelsa State by road.
Also arrested and brought to Abuja by a Special Police team from Zone 1 headquarters, Kano, led by an Assistant Commissioner of Police, was the abductor, Yunusa, a.k.a Yellow.
Both the abductor and the abductee were escorted by three representatives of the Emir of Kano to brief the police authorities about the roles the Emir and Kano Emirate Council played in getting Ese released.
At exactly 1.25pm, the Force Public Relations Officer was seen leading the freed Ese Oruru to the office of the Inspector General of Police for further briefing.
Attempts by newsmen to talk with Ese were rebuffed as the FPRO assured that as soon as Ese’s mother, who was being expected from Bayelsa arrived, the Police will brief the media on the matter.
Recall that Ese was abducted by Yinusa, from her mother’s shop in Yenagoa LGA on August 12, 2015, and whisked away to Kano without the consent of her parents.
She was rescued Monday night, following a directive by the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, to the Commissioner of Police, Kano State, Mohammed Katsina, to liaise with the state’s Emirate Council and relevant persons in the state.

Baby Hope has been discharged from hospital after Anja Ringgren Lovén, rescued him through her foundation, African Children’s Aid Education and Development Foundation ( ACAEDF).
Lovén who’s from Denmark, has been resident in Nigeria for 4-years. Rescuing and rehabilitating children from the worst cases of abuse.
She rescues and takes care of kids abandoned by their own families for being witches.
In this little boy’s case, she found him abandoned and malnourished. Adopted him and named him Hope.
She checked him into a hospital after rescuing him in January and yesterday, he was declared hale and hearty to go home.
A happy Lovén took to her Facebook page to announce the good news saying:
“Finally finally finally !!!! Today Hope was discharged from the hospital !! The children have been so excited all day! My son David Jr. and I are now back in Denmark because tomorrow I will start my tour around the country.
“And oh how I wish I was there today. Looking at these pictures of the children playing with Hope makes me totally speechless. Our dream came true! Can you imagine! This is what humanity is all about! Children see magic because they look for it and now Hope has finally found his magic.”
