About 2 days ago, Nollywood actress, Ruth Kadiri shared a picture of herself and a friend in a compromising position which fans found suggestive.
Many accused the actress of being a lesbian, based on the fact that Ruth once revealed that her female lecturer made passes at her back in the university.
But in a new chat with Punch Newspapers, the actress has debunked these claims.
“I am not a lesbian,” Kadiri clarified. “It was just a harmless picture I took with my friends while we were about to set out to a private beach to have some fun.
“I think the picture was taken during the Valentine season or one of those festive seasons. The ironic thing is that our boyfriends were there when we took the picture. I am not a lesbian and I can never be one.”
Popular Nollywood actress and producer, Rita Dominic shared her delight at Leonardo Di Caprio’s Oscar win this week. Founder of Whitenicious and controversial singer, Dencia has called out her fellow ‘Bleacher’ Toke Makinwa who is the brand ambassador for cosmetics company called, Mecran Cosmetics, over stolen photos of success stories.
After a fan called Dencia’s attention to a photo shared by @Macrancosmetics showing a success story from the use of the Whitenicious product which she had shared weeks earlier, she took to instagram to issue a disclaimer.
Dencia shared a screenshot photo of the mention concerning the product, commenting:
“It has come to our notice that @tokemakinwa’s company known as@mecrancosmetics is stealing images of Whitenicious success stories and results to post on their Instagram account and also send these images to their customers via text, what’s app and other SM platforms.This is a PSA, please refrain from using any material and falsifying and erasing our water mark, we aren’t connected to any of these fake brands and we will be suing you and your company if you keep stealing our images and lying about it being yours,we own the rights to all our images as this are from Whitenicious customers.If your products don’t work please don’t lie to customers just find a way to make better products.I understand your skin was lightened before you started selling these meaning you have never used it to lighten your skin so you need to steal images just don’t steal them from Whitenicious. Thanks for the tip @rarohlee.Management.”

It was earlier reported that one Ibrahim Shamwilu from Kogi state made a near-perfect score of 399 out of a possible 400 at the recently held university and tertiary institutions matriculation examinations (UTME) organised by the Joint Admission Management Board (JAMB).
Apparently, his result was false and a fake.
When Ibrahim Shamwilu was contacted, he confirmed that the result that went viral this morning was a joke to his friends, he never knew it was going to make its way online.

The breakdown of the new result shows that Shamwifu scored 58 in Use of English; 45 in Physics; 44 in Biology; and 52 in Chemistry, as compared to the perfect score of 100 in Physics, Chemistry and Biology respectively, recorded in the initial result that was circulated Friday morning.

Speaking with ERAVE, Illbliss disclosed that the reports are false. “I’m surprised the first time I read the same report online. Chidinma is still very much with the label and I can’t fathom where the peddlers of such news got it from.”

According to Online reports, a student from Kogi state has set a new JAMB UTME record score in the history of Nigerian examination. The student named Ibrahim Shamwifu reportedly got an almost perfect score of 399 out of 400.
The result was shared online by Nigerian University Scholarships, and it is said that Ibrahim will like to study Medicine and Surgery at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State.

Recall last month, amidst their feud, reports came in that Telecom Giant, Globacom had dropped the PSquare brothers as their ambassadors.
The singers’ contract was reportedly terminated as result of Peter allegedly insulting a representative of the company at the grand finale of Dance With Peter while other reports said their contract with Glo won’t be renewed.
Peter, however, debunked the claim that he had insulted their rep and Globacom never officially confirmed or denied that they had ended PSquare’s contract until today.
The telecommunications operator shut down the rumours that they had terminated their brand endorsement deal with Peter and Paul in a statement released earlier today.
According to them, the twins were still very much brand ambassadors of Glo. They added that they were in the process of reviewing contracts with all their ambassadors including PSquare.
The statement read:
We have not disengaged PSquare or any of our other ambassadors. We are currently in the process of reviewing our contracts with the brand ambassadors. We are proud of the role Globacom has played in the rapid upward trajectory of the musical career of these incredibly talented twin brothers. Some residents of Lagos State have advised Olajumoke Orisaguna, the bread seller turned model, to be modest in her dressing as a celebrity.
The residents gave the advice in separate interviews with NAN on Thursday in Lagos.
Mrs Deborah Mathew, a civil servant said that it was not good or decent for Orisaguna, a mother of two, to put on nude dresses even in the line of duty.
“Posterity will not forgive her for that because the children will see it and might emulate her and she cannot advise them because she is guilty.
“What example is she creating for youths like her and her environment; you can see how her boobs and thighs are showing.“This is not the type of modelling we are talking about for a married woman,” she said.
Miss Nneka Ibemesi, a student of the University of Lagos, advised Orisaguna to also pursue higher education.

“Without education, she will not go far and as it is people are just telling her what to do, the day she demands for what she really wants, her career will end.
“I guess people just want to use her illiteracy to make money and gain publicity,” she said.
Mr Olabisi Aderibigbe, a computer engineer, called on the 27-year-old celebrity to study the terrain she was operating to ensure her success as a celebrity.
“The model is lucky to be seen and picked but my worry is that she does not know the terrain she has gone into.
“Exposing body is unAfrican, soon they will give her only pant and bra to wear and cat walk all in the name of modelling.
“Whatever the people that found her out are doing, they should have at the back of their minds that she is a married woman with kids.
“They should have the decency to choose better clothes for her,” he said.
Others reminded the celebrity that she was an example of God uplifting anyone up from the scratch, adding that she should be humbled in fame and be cautious of “what she is made to do”.

The Shortlist for the N200,000 #iWriteArt Artist + Writer Instagram contest which began on 25th January 2016 has now been released. This creative contest, which saw writers collaborating with artists, revealed a lot of talent and the exciting things that can come about from collaboration. Each writer paired with an artist and penned a 300-word (or less) flash fiction piece inspired by one of the artist’s work.
A total of ninety-one entries were received. After an intense week-long selection process, fifteen entries have now been shortlisted.
The fifteen entries selected explore—in beautiful prose matched to revealing art—different themes that touch on loss, identity, love, abuse, motherhood among other subjects. With each entry, words have combined with art to speak much more than a thousand words and some three hundred. Different literary and artistic styles have come together to make this shortlist a colourful tapestry of masterpieces.
The judges will announce, on 19th March 2016, the winning entry to clinch the prize money of N200,000.
