Foluke Daramola and her hubby, Kayode, have endured so many rumours concerning the breakup of their marriage and yet, it seems the union keeps waxing stronger.
Probably to shut the lips of rumour mongers, Saturday Beats gathered that the actress and her husband would be heading to a marriage registry to legalize their love.
Though they have been living together for four years, the couple only had a traditional wedding.
When Saturday Beats reached out to the busty actress, she confirmed the news.
She added they are going to the registry to renew the love she shared with her beau.
She said, “The reason we decided to go to the marriage registry today is because it aligns with the Valentine’s Day’s season and mood.
Love is in the air and this is the perfect time to renew our love. We did our traditional wedding on February 15, 2014 on the same day as my birthday.
An atmosphere of love is around and we feel it is the perfect time to go to the registry and document our marriage properly.
“We decided to go to the registry because we see it as a renewal of our love. Also, for documentation purpose, it is better we go to a marriage registry because traditional marriage is not really recognised and it does not have any certification to that effect.
It is our own way of celebrating Valentine. It took us four years to decide to go to the marriage registry because we felt it was necessary to have proper documentation. We are doing this to perfect our marriage.
The number of years it took us to do this does not matter as the most important thing is that we are doing it.”
Tales of pregnancy have also trailed the actress but she seized the medium to clear the air.
“I am not pregnant and I wonder who started the rumour. Even if I was pregnant, as an African woman, I will not announce it and when I eventually give birth, everybody would know,” she said.
If recent happenings are anything to go by, it’s safe to say Nigerian pastors are beginning to match up with their foreign counterparts.
A video of Pastor Sunday Johnson Olakolu Great of the Jesus City Salvation & Prayer Mountain, Abeokuta, Ogun State, going round, shows how he decreed call credits into the phones of congregants.
In the video, the pastor had said he wanted to show his members how powerful God is.
He then directed them to bring out their phones and he prayed that God should credit the phones.
Immediately after the prayer, testimonies started pouring in.
A member testified that before the prayer, she had only N9 call credit but after the prayer, she saw N750. Another one testified that she had N50 but after the prayers, she saw N100.
Recall, we reported of recent that Nollywood actress, Monalisa Chinda was set to marry a mystery man this February, but she tried her possible best to keep the story away from social media to avoid media frenzy. Well, it did get out.
Apparently, last night, the intimate traditional marriage ceremony was held in River State, and her mystery partner has been identified as Tonye Victor.
The event was held in her father’s compound, in Elelenwo, Port Harcourt, in Rivers State.
This is Monalisa Chinda’s second marriage.
The 41-year-old TV host was previously married to TV producer Segun Dejo-Richards, but the union failed after she found out he was still married to another woman.
Nollywood Director and Popular critic – Charles Novia has something to say on the whole Jumoke’s Fame Brouhaha. He penned down an interesting article on his website titled: OLAJUMOKE’S UNLEAVENED BREAD AND THE OVEN OF OPPORTUNISTS
I have written glowingly about the Olajumoke duckling-to-swan story a few days back on my facebook page and praised those whose hands were compelled by the benevolence of fate to change her life.
However, I’m a bit uncomfortable with the overexposure of the young lady to the media. That’s just me but from experience it may have unpleasant consequences if it it not well-managed.
I agree that she should enjoy her newfound fame within the ambits of the international attention she’s receiving presently but I can’t help thinking too that she’s walking into a treacherous terrain with much of that overexposure.
Questions to be asked are: who is her manager? Does she have one and is she being psychologically preened for the after effects of this exposure?
What’s her state of mind in the midst of this euphoria? Given that she has been ducked into a somewhat positive maelstrom of media machineries, is she being prepared for when a time would come when she might not be the flavour of the moment?
Because I think she’s trending right now as a distraction to the realities we face in the socio-economic sector.
Nigerians need something positive for once to make them forget the harsh realities of the drudgery of our individual existentialism in the present scheme of things. And Olajumoke is the perfect and beautiful distraction.
But we are going to be bored very soon. And when that happens, who will cushion her expectations when things slow down? A modeling agency is just an agency and not a management agency. Who would manage her realities?
Yes, we have all bought her bread ( pun not intended) and eaten slices off her loaf of inspiration.
But wherein she was a slice of life a few days ago as a nondescript trudger of the survival path, we all are now partakers in the breaking of her whole loaf.
Olajumoke has to be careful. She has a family. She has a husband. From empirical antecedents, the marriage is usually the first casualty of this kind of invasion of privacy. It happens all the time.
If the young lady loved her husband as a bread seller, she should be encouraged to strengthen that love now that she’s literally a bread bringer to the home. Because she would soon start mixing with the hawkish lot who would soon start whispering serpentine advice into her ears.
It happens all the time. Beyond the media glare would be a fundamental introspection of her future with the spouse.
And that’s where the crunch lies.
The media is all pleasant and powerful when it comes to pushing the Olajumokes of this world to new heights. But the media gives with one hand and takes with the other.
My suggestivism does not in any pre-suppose an impending doom but alerts on an intending loom.
The live of the Bread Seller is presently brought to us closer through a whimsical telescope. It won’t be long before the want of more sensationalism would put her life under a selfish microscope.
Stories would soon be cooked up or exaggerated about her, just to suit the media.
It happens all the time.
That’s why she must be the person at this point in her life to take charge of her narrative.
She must hold on the yeast of her future while we munch on the dough.
Her life was unleavened just a few weeks ago.

A 48-year-old mother of three Saidat Hassan today reportedly vomited 15 wraps of cocaine at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja.
Vanguard reports that this happened during screening at the departure hall as officers checked passengers boarding an Egypt Airline flight to Jedda, Saudi Arabia en-route Cairo.
Speaking with the press, the commander of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Abuja, Hamisu Lawan said that the agency made efforts to prevent any harm coming to the mother after screening showed she had swallowed 80 wraps of cocaine. “As soon as we discovered that the wraps she vomited tested positive for cocaine, we took measures to ensure her safety by preventing any harm that may result from drug ingestion,” Lawan said, explaining measures they took to avoid any of the wraps from bursting in her stomach. “She excreted sixty-five (65) similar wraps. In all, she ingested 80 wraps of cocaine weighing 904 grammes; her case is under investigation.”
Retired Col. Mohammad Abdallah, the Chairman/Chief Executive of NDLEA, confirmed that she has been arrested. “This is gross ineptitude on the part of a mother saddled with the responsibility of nurturing her children into future leaders,” he said. “I am glad that she did not die from drug ingestion to face trial. Besides escaping the risk of swallowing cocaine, this arrest also saved her because drug trafficking in Saudi Arabia is punishable by death.
“She will soon be charged to court because the law must run its full course,” Rtd. Col Abdallah continued, “I expect the general public to learn lessons from this case that drug trafficking leads to pain, ignominy and untimely death.
My approach to drug control is both pragmatic and scientific. Every action taken must be based on best global principles; while lessons learnt will influence our implementation strategies in our day to day operations.”
During question, Saidat Hassan said she resides in Lagos Island and deals on clothing materials. “I am a business woman and I sell women clothes at Balogun market,” she said, “I used to buy my goods from Ghana. I was introduced into the drug business by a friend and business partner. The drug was brought from Abidjan, Ivory Coast and we were to share the proceeds equally.”
Ms Hassan also said she didn’t know of the death penalty law guiding Saudi Arabia. “I never knew that the cocaine I ingested would have led to my death in Saudi Arabia. I thank God for keeping me alive.”
It is no news that the President of United States Barack Obama and his wife Michelle are one of the cutest political couples in the world.
Even though they have been married for 23 years, President Obama still has a lot of game when it comes to romantic gestures.
The 54-year-old father of two was a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show earlier today and because he will be spending another Valentine’s Day apart from his wife, he decided to read a poem to the love of his life on international TV.
Ellen set the stage for Obama as he stood in front of a red curtain surrounded by bouquets of red roses and white lilies as Barry White-style music played in the background. “Somebody call the Situation Room because things are about to get hot,” he said smiling.
He then began: “Michelle, this Valentine’s Day I’m going to treat you right. I’m going to make you some zucchini bread. Then I’ll spread out some veggies on a plate just the way you like them.” He then added: “Then I’ll give you a massage while you watch ‘Ellen’s Design Challenge’ on HGTV. Because I love you so much, I Obamacare about you more than you even know.”
On a more serious note, the U.S president stated that the best decision he had ever made was choosing Michelle to be his wife. ”Thanks for putting up with me. I love you,” he said.
Michelle in return surprised her husband earlier in the broadcast by popping up on tape to recite her own poem.
“Roses are red, violets are blue, you are the president and I am your boo,” she said.
This Sunday will be Obama and Michelle’s final Valentine’s Day as president and first lady of the United States.

See his full lyrics on the track below…
It’s the Flygerian, going H.A.M with the hustle
Run up on the Mode and pull a hamstring muscle
If you got an old bone to pick, bury the fossil
Or else, it’s gonna be a one-sided tussle
You can tango, I’m all about the cash, Kurt Russell
Up front payment, money in the duffle, bag
But over here, they desecrating the art form
Lying to themselves like, Mode too hard for ’em
I raise the bar, you finishing where I start from
You far from a beast on the mic, you need a stronger grip
I got no endorsement, no sponsorship
They want a song about a silly dance, a monster hit
I ain’t got that, but I got bars to make you back flip
Put the beat in a casket, when the Polymath spit
My peers pull me down, it’s like I’m rapping from a crab’s pit
All I’m trying to do is fill my bread basket

An educationist’s daughter was discovered hanged in a field close to the home of a boyfriend who had just broken up with her by text in a row over 21st birthday gifts.
Nina Paunova, a fashion student known as the ‘Beauty of Beverley’, had also cut her wrists at a secluded spot before she died on September 8 last year.
Her boyfriend, Mr Scott, dumped her by text when he was forwarded Nina’s messages claiming she would ‘ditch him‘ after he spent £2,000 on gifts for her 21st birthday.
He said he had already spent £10,000 on jewellery and clothing, £4,500 on trips to London and Paris and at least £2,000 on holidays to Croatia and Menorca.
But he ended the relationship when he was sent Nina’s texts to her friend Elizabeth Gough, via Miss Gough’s boyfriend.
The messages said:
‘I told you what my plan is. Straight after my 21st and after he has spent £1,000 to £2,000 I’m gone. After all the s*** I’ve put up with. I will literally take my presents and the week after my 21st end it and delete him.’
In the hours before her death Miss Paunova, who was ‘obsessed with social media’, drove to her ex-boyfriend’s house to confront him but was refused entry and threatened to kill herself.
She then drove her car through a hedge at more than 60mph in a nearby field and hanged herself after cutting her wrists.
Her parents warned her not to get back together with her boyfriend Sam after a two month break but they had rekindled their relationship and were going on holiday three days after her death.
The student had sent a text to her mother Niviana before she killed herself which included the words: ‘I guess I should have listened sooner.’
Her father, Vesselin, a professor of chemistry at the University of Hull, said Mr Scott, who is from a ‘wealthy family‘ in the East Riding, spent large amounts of money on his daughter.
He said:
‘She seemed almost obsessed, but totally in love with Sam. In their second year together, Nina said Sam had changed. He became different and Nina said Sam would want her to pay her way more but still live the expensive lifestyle and she struggled. ‘In May 2015 they separated and Nina was very upset. After some time, Sam started to contact her about starting up the relationship again, and they got back together against my advice.
