Here’s a video which shows a group of young cadets torturing a young boy over claims that he said a female officer was beautiful.

From the video, young officers are seen hitting the boy who was made to kneel, a female officer slapped him countless times, and later, stomped on him.

That was not enough. The boy was dragged and undressed as the punishment continued.

The video is shocking to watch, but the names and location of the inhumane treatment were withheld by the media house.

The body of a 28 year old Kenyan woman, Alice Kemunto Bundi was exhumed from her grave on January 27th, just a day after she was buried at her matrimonial home in Nyamatoki village, after her family complained that her husband had not completely paid her bride price and had no right to claim her corpse.

The family of the mother of four who was four months pregnant when she died, went to court and obtained an exhumation permit from the Kisii law court. Her family members also argued that they were not informed by the husband on what killed their sister nor were they carried along during her funeral arrangements.

The husband however provided a clinical report which states that his wife of six years died while trying to undergo an abortion.

Her in-laws confirmed that the dowry for late Alice had not been settled. “We had given them [Bundi’s family] one cow and KES 5 000 cash($48), though they were asking for KES 20 000($196),” said one of the in-laws in an interview

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday, February 3, arraigned Sabo Sani Labaran before Justice Abubakar Jauro of the Gombe State High Court sitting in Gombe, on a 2-count charge bordering on impersonation and obtaining money by false pretence to the tune of N242,000.00..

The offence is contrary to Section 1 sub-section 1(a) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act 2006 and punishable under Section 1 sub-section 3 of the same Act.

The suspect, who is a member of an Internet syndicate had, sometime in October 2015, allegedly obtained N242, 000 from one Alhaji Hussaini Mai- Magani, promising that he would award him a contract for the supply of some hospital equipment.

However, the suspect, whose Facebook profile bears the picture of the Gombe State governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, allegedly diverted the money for personal use.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges. In view of his plea, prosecution counsel, Ahmad Y. Muntaqa, asked the court for a trial date. The defence counsel, Rahimat I. Talle, prayed the court to grant the accused bail on liberal terms. Justice Jauro adjourned till February 8, 2016 for hearing on the bail application and ordered the accused person to be remanded in prison custody.

There were reports earlier today that a Bristow Helicopter went missing. .but then later crash landed with all 11-people on board surviving. The company just released a press statement.

Bristow Helicopters (Nigeria) Limited, confirmed today that one of its helicopters, was involved in a water landing near Lagos at about 10.25 a.m. local time on return from an offshore platform.

The aircraft, a Sikorsky S-76C++, had departed on a routine crew transfer flight offshore with nine passengers and a crew of two.

All persons onboard are accounted for and in the process of being transferred to a nearby installation. The company is in the process of collecting pertinent information and will release more details as soon as it is available.

Earlier today we reported about a  a Bristow Helicopter that went missing en route Lagos from Port Harcourt.

It has now been confirmed that the  aircraft with a total of 13 people on board crashed into the Lagos Lagoon as it made it way from Port-Harcourt into Lagos this Wednesday morning.

Thankfully, all 11 passengers, a cabin crew member and the pilot of the Bristow chopper that crashed this morning near Lagos have been rescued.

Adebayo Kehinde, public relations officer of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), confirmed the incident.

There has been no official word from Bristow Group yet.

This crash comes six months after a Bristow helicopter crashed in Lagos, killing the 2 pilots and 4 of the 10 passengers.

Report just reaching us indicate that a Bristow helicopter on Wednesday, February 3, has just gone missing in Lagos state.

The aircraft 5N BJQ, flying at 1,500 feet cannot be located.

According to Channels TV, the helicopter which was en route Lagos from Port Harcourt, had 9 passengers and 2 crew members on board.

Initial reports by The Nation stated that the chopper disappeared from radar after it took off.

The Nigerian Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) has confirmed the incident.

While entertaining President Buhari and other top dignitaries at the 40th Presidential Luncheon to mark Ogun state’s 40th anniversary in Abeokuta yesterday February 2nd, comedians Alibaba and Gbenga Adeyinka joked about the current Dasuki $2.1 billion arms deal probe.

“You know before now, when I perform, especially when Mr. President Obasanjo, found out how much I got paid for the event, he was livid. When they now asked me to come and perform for the new president considering that he’s asking money from everybody, he said, how much do you want to charge? I said anything you want to give me sir, there’s no need to tell him the amount, he’ll add me to that Dasuki’s list. Olorunmaje! ..and you know that man has not finished confessing” he said

Gbenga Adeyinka who was co-anchoring the event with Alibaba, said everything Alibaba was saying was his personal opinion because before leaving his house, his wife warned him to mind what he said at the event because she doesn’t want a situation where “they” will come and search her house.

He said Alibaba should continue with his joke at his own risk.
