I need help . My boyfriend is so cute and drives a Range Rover sport. He is a business man, he sells phones and laptops, but he does not have a house cause he claims Abuja is expensive.
My boyfriend still lives with his friends in a self contained apartment where they are up to 6 of them. He said they pay 20k each to raise the rent. Every s*x we had was in my house, apparently he lives with me cause most of his things are in my house.
I was very very ok with it since I work and we both love each other. He just proposed yesterday and I accepted , but am so scared . My fear is, where will we live? How will he organise the wedding when he can’t even afford a house?
So I confronted him with my fears and his reply to me was – ‘baby, why did you think I want to marry you ? I want to marry you cause you are a strong woman and I know you will support me.
Baby if I don’t have a house, you have a house, if I can’t pay for our wedding, baby you are working, if I fall, you should hold me. That is why 2 will become one.
I was so, so shocked.
He further said we will maintain the self contained I live in now and share the rent, and as for our wedding we will make it small and portable with the contribution we will get.
I told my mum about this recent development and she asked me to return his ring to him, that the man will be a liability to me and the family. Please family what do YOU all think? Cause I and my mum will be reading all your opinions.
Anozie and Ifeoma were very much in love. It was love at first sight and they’ve been together for four years. Ifeoma went on a two-months vacation and when she returned, she got the shock of her life, – the love of her life had replaced her with another woman.
She was devastated as she didn’t see it coming. Somehow, she went past it and had a daughter for another man. She is a grown woman today and she recently brought her fiance to meet her mother.
The introduction date was set and guess who walked in as the future father-in-law? If you were Ifeoma, would you allow your daughter marry Anozie’s son?
These are the responses of some of our celebrities:
As a mother, it will be a hard decision to make — Yvonne Enakena, Actress
First of all, I will try to talk her out of it, but if she insists, I’ll give her my blessings. Before that, I’ll carry out an investigation on him to know the kind of person he is, if he deserves and genuinely loves my daughter.
Truth is, people lead different lives. One person’s character shouldn’t affect another person negatively even if they are blood relatives. As a mother, it will be a hard decision to make. I will put up a fight to stop them, but if she insists that they want to be together, I’ll let them be.
I can’t stand in the way of true love- Belinda Effah, Actress
Personalities are different, so it will be wrong to judge one person based on another person’s mistake. I may still be hurt, but if the love is genuine and I have the conviction that it is, then I can’t stand in the way of true love.
If it makes her happy, she has my blessing- Seyi Hunter, Actress
I have no problem with my daughter marrying the son of a bad ex. What happened between us shouldn’t affect our children’s relationship. If it makes her happy, she has my blessing.
I won’t let my daughter marry from an ex’s family- Shirley Igwe, Actress/Model
I jilt men, they don’t jilt me. In any case, I won’t let my daughter marry from an ex’s family. There’s a reason I ‘exed’ him. I will have to examine those reasons before taking decisions. Bottom-line, I can’t watch my daughter make the mistakes that I made.
I won’t judge an innocent girl based on her mother’s past — Lawrence Onuzuluike, Producer/Actor
I don’t think jilting a man is hereditary. So, I won’t judge an innocent girl based on her mother’s past. And what if I was the reason behind her mother’s actions? Should I still blame her daughter? I will totally allow it as long as they love each other.

The Lagos State Government on Saturday called on residents to remain calm over the outbreak of Lassa fever, just as it assured that it is doing everything possible to curtail the spread of the virus in the State.
Addressing journalists at the Alausa Secretariat, on the first case of the disease recorded in the State, Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris said in line with international standards, 92 persons who had direct and indirect contact with the index case are currently being followed-up.
Idris confirmed that the index case, a 25-year-old male undergraduate of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, was reported to have fallen ill after arriving in Lagos and was taken to Ahmmadiyyah Hospital, Ojokoro on January 9 with complaint of fever, sore throats and difficulty in swallowing.
He said the patient was subsequently placed on admission for six days and was thereafter referred by the said private hospital to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) on January 14, 2016 owing to the fact that the fever was persistent and his condition was not improving.
According to Idris, the patient was confirmed as a case of Lassa fever on January 15, at LUTH, and is currently being managed to the extent that his condition is now stable.
Idris added that 15 in-patients who were admitted alongside the index case as well as 25 health workers who attended to them have been placed on compulsory 21 days monitoring, and that the phone numbers and addresses of the persons in that category have also been collected for proper tracking.
Any of the persons in that category with temperature above 38.5, according to Idris, would be isolated so as to prevent the spread of the disease, while they have also been advised on the need to maintain little or no contact with others, at least for now.
The Commissioner said: “Though Lassa fever and Ebola Virus Disease belong to the same Viral Hemorrhagic fever group, Lassa fever is milder and can be treated and cured if defected early. Therefore, any persistent fever should be reported to the nearest public health facility.
“Residents are urged to watch out for the signs and symptoms of Lassa fever which typically occur with incubation period of 1-3 weeks after the patient comes into contact with the virus. Early symptoms of the disease include fever, headache, chills, diarrheas, nausea, vomiting, sore throat, backache, and joint pains.
“Late symptoms include bleeding from the eyes, ears and nose, bleeding from the mouth and rectum, eye swelling, swelling of the genitals and rashes all over the body that often contain blood. It could progress to coma, shock and death,” he said.
While stating that drugs and other materials have been prepositioned at the designated facilities across the State, Idris said isolation centres have equally been prepared to manage suspected and confirmed cases, adding that the State Government is fully prepared to manage the situation and as such people should not panic for whatever reasons.
On steps to be taken to prevent the spread of the disease, Idris urged residents to “avoid contact with rats, ensure proper collection and disposal of waste, cover all foods including left-overs and water properly, wash their hands properly before and after cooking of foods, block all rat hideouts and store food items in rodent-proof containers.”

Tragedy was averted in Lagos on Friday when an unidentified man mounted an electricity transmission tower.
The incident occurred at Powerline Street, Calvary Bus Stop in Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area.
Punch gathered that the man wandered around the vicinity in the early hours of the day before stopping at the foot of the tower at about 2pm.
Eyewitnesses said he removed some totems tied to the tower by a vigilance group and mounted it to
the top despite warnings from residents and passers-by.
A resident, Mr. Kazeem Oyebola, who said the man did not look like a mentally challenged person, added that his responses showed he was on a suicide mission.
He stated:
“He was not mad at all. He was coherent when he talked except for some vague statements he made. He had a mission and it was to kill himself for some unknown reasons.”
Also, a yam seller in the area who identified herself as Iya Bose said she was scared when the man in his late thirties climbed the tower.
Another resident, identified as Odunayo, who sells alcoholic drinks in the area, said the man covered himself with a wrapper.
She added that many felt the tower climber wanted cheap publicity or had an intention to “carry out a diabolical assignment particularly as he wore red knickers.”
The incident attracted a crowd and some of them had to climb the tower to see if they could get him down.
A community leader in the area, Mr. Alao Salami, said when he sensed that the man was not ready to disembark from the tower after about three hours he had to alert the police at the Idimu Police Station.
An official with an electricity distribution firm who did not want his name in print told SUNDAY PUNCH that the only way the man could have survived electrocution was because there was no electricity in the wires.
When their correspondent visited Idimu Police Divisional Headquarters, the Divisional Police Officer, Mr. James Sonekan, refused to comment on the matter.
He said he was not authorised to make an official statement on the matter.

According to him, the house rats that cause Lassa Fever are mostly in contact with Nigeria’s most staple food,
garri.
His words:
“We are going to encourage members of the public to depart from the process of drinking gari at this moment, it is better that the cassava flour is utilised for `eba,’ because of the use of hot water.
We are waging total war and that is: `War against Rats,’ and that is what we are going to do to ensure we do not have another victim of Lassa Fever in the state. We will also be telling them to ensure that their fruits and raw vegetables are properly washed if they must be consumed raw and cook to the appropriate temperature.”

Premium Music join forces with Yemi Alade, Iyanya, Olamide, Tekno and Selebobo; to release this song to appreciate to all the mothers all over the world titled “Mama Oyoyo”.
Remember the infringement right Shizzi talked about concerning Tunde Ednut’s “Kosowo”, well according to Shizzi here is the original version which features Wande Coal.
“I have read several accounts of the unfortunate incident regarding the unauthorized appropriation of the intellectual property rights in the sound recording I had made sometime in 2014 by Mr. Tunde Ednut.
Contrary to the spin in the media, I never at any point engaged in any studio session with Mr. Tunde Ednut regarding the sound recording. The original sound recording was indeed created by me with Wande Coal providing freestyle vocals on it and I have attached a link of the original version in this release.
Kindly note that further to painstaking enquiries, I have discovered that Masterkraft was not in anyway complicit in the alleged theft of the IP rights as Mr. Tunde Ednut with malicious intent omitted to mention to Masterkraft my ownership rights in the recording.
I have no intention to engage in a public trade of words with Mr. Tunde Ednut, which is why I had instructed my lawyers to take the appropriate actions. It is my profound belief that a workman is deserving of the appropriate benefits to his works and it is high time we started according to intellectual property rights, the respect and regards they duly deserve.
While thanking the media house and blogs that have supported my brand and have reached out to me since the news of the IP conversion broke, I urge them to refrain from posting or reposting the infringing song and its video thereby engendering the continued criminal misappropriation of my IP rights pending the outcome of the law suit to be filed by my lawyers should Mr. Tunde Ednut and his cohorts not desist from their condemnable actions.
Thank you for your understanding.

Masked jihadi gunmen have reportedly killed at least 20 with ‘foreigners among the dead‘ in Burkina Faso’s capital after invading a popular tourist hotel.
Security forces with the help of 30 French troops – stormed the Splendid Hotel in Ouagadougou’s business district more than five hours after it was attacked by the jihadists.
Some hostages remain trapped inside the hotel, which was accidentally set on fire during the rescue attempt. Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb claimed responsibility for the attack, according to a statement released on an encrypted messaging app. The group said the fighters have killed as many as 30 hostages.
The organization claims that the operation was ‘revenge against France and the disbelieving West’, according to New York Times foreign correspondent Rukmini Callimachi.
The four-star hotel is reportedly used by UN agency staff and is near a cafe called Cappucino, said to be popular with expats, although U.N. spokesman in Ouagadougou, Emile Kabore, told CNN he did not believe any U.N. staffers are currently staying at the hotel.
A witness who gave only his first name, Gilbert, said that when security forces first arrived, they turned around rather than confront the attackers.
‘But we know that the gunmen won’t get out of the hotel alive,’ he said. ‘Our country is not for jihadists or terrorists. They got it wrong.’

In the spirit of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day, Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole has appealed to Head of States, President Muhammadu Buhari to grant Presidential pardon to the sixty-six soldiers whose death sentences were recently commuted to 10 years imprisonment.
The Governor made this appeal while delivering his speech at the 2016 Armed Forces Remembrance Day on in Benin City yesterday, he said:
“I ask Edo people to stand by our Armed Forces, to support the efforts of President Muhammadu Buhari to reposition the Armed Forces, to re-kit them but also to revive our economy.
The revelation about diversion of funds meant to equip the Armed Forces is not funny and therefore we must all give the President the support he needs to bring to justice those who diverted money meant to secure all of us and convert them to political funds.
“These same people sat in the comfort of their office, looking at their loot and they had the guts to put on trial soldiers who were
ill-equipped and were asked to go and commit suicide in the face of Boko Haram.
I am happy that the Military have in their wisdom through their own judicial process committed those death sentences to various terms of imprisonment for those soldiers who were involved.
“I am not an apostle or a supporter of indiscipline but I believe it is also a matter of hypocrisy to tie the legs of a young man or a woman and ask him to go and get involved in an Olympic race. If you chain him, how can he run?”
The Governor continued:
“I therefore want to lend my voice on behalf of the people of Edo State, that those soldiers at best can be dismissed from the Armed Forces, but they should not be allowed to wallow in prison. The point has been made that money meant for them was shared.
If those who shared it are not likely to face death sentence, they even enjoy the liberty of bail from our high court, nothing justifies harsh treatment to the victims of their own executive rascality.
“So, I appeal to President Buhari to use his powers to grant them pardon even if they will not be allowed to retain their uniforms. We all have learnt to be vigilant and to support our Armed Forces.”
The Federal government of Nigeria disclosed on Friday, 15th of January, 2015, that it has no plan to pay the much spoken about N5000 to all Unemployed Nigerians, stating that such payment will be made as allowances only to those undergoing different skill acquisition programmes.
The Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige stated this while speaking with newsmen at the APC secretariat, He said:
“We also have the programme on the commission cash transfer. Though even you the press has said it, we won’t pay N5000 for people to be indolent. No country in the world, would pay people to go home and sleep and collect cash, so Nigerian would not be an exception.
“We will pay some people N5000, we will pay some N10,000, and even for people in teacher conversion scheme, we will pay more than N10,000, N15,000 as stipend while in training, and then after the training, they are going to be employed by state government and the federal government in different institution.
“It is not a programme we shall run alone, the state governments are going to buy into it, they are going to synchronize with us, we are going to do it in synergy”
