They called us and thanked us:… Then I went back on my plans on how am going to make my wife’s birthday a special one…. And again she said pls even if u re planing for anything big or surprise for me….. That it won’t make her happy….. That she will rather prefer we spend it on this Eniola child ….. And so I cancelled all my plans, bcos it’s her wish……. By the way today is my lovely wife’s birthday …..happy birthday sweetie ������ love you plenty plenty… And may God bless all the good Nigerians who contributed for this child surgery, and we pray is going to be successful …Amen!!!
A devastated father of an eight-year-old boy who hanged himself after being sent to his room has spoken on how he frantically tried to save his son.
Christopher Furniss-Roe was found in his bedroom after a childish argument with his sister over a red plastic bucket. The pair had been out playing after enjoying the school sports day where Christopher came first in a running race.
“They were both happy and excited about the sports day events and when we got back from school they went out,” dad-of-four Jason Furniss-Roe said.
“Kimberly came back in and wanted to get the buckets so they got their buckets and went back out.”Then she came back in saying Christopher had smashed her bucket.”
Jason told Christopher – called ‘Fiffa‘ by his sister because she could not pronounce his name – to get washed and go to bed.
“He had a shower but snuck back down to play which did not bother me because they were both outside playing happily.
“Not long after Kimberly came back in saying he had hit her so I sent him back up to bed.”
The seven-year-old’s nose was bleeding.
“Ten or 15 minutes later I came back in here and said ‘Shall we let him back down?”I went up to get him and when I opened the door that was when I found him.””I just could not understand how he could do it,” Jason said. “I’ve sent him to his room loads when he was naughty and he would just sit on his bed and that was it.”At the hospital I was just wishing he would show some sign that he was still there,”We were just watching the machines to see if he was doing anything. We were in the same room as him.
“We must have arrived at half-eight in the evening and it was noon the following day when my parents arrived and they turned the machines off.”
The next morning other family members arrived. The nurses washed him and brushed his hair and dressed him in pyjamas.
“I spoke to him after everyone else,” Jason said. “I just told him I loved him and I missed him.
“When they turned the machine off Kimberly was crying her eyes out. Everyone was. I was crying as well.”

What do you miss the most about your late wife?
I miss her so much. Waking up in the morning and knowing she was still there were some of the memories I cherished. Today, I wake up and find books lying in her place. It is so sad.
How have you been coping since she passed on?
Life has got to move on. I am still trying to get a grip of myself. She was the best thing that actually happened to me but she just disappeared in a flash. I am happy that she is resting in God’s bosom. Although she is not here with me today, we both planned to be together forever. But, I cannot question God.
What were some of the plans you both had for the future?
We had so many personal plans, but she is no longer there. It is more like when you are driving a car and you miss your way, you have to reroute. I am currently rerouting my life’s journey.
How difficult is the rerouting process for you?
I am rebooting all over again. I am a Christian and I do not believe anything is difficult. As a child of God, I believe that whatever happens to you is the will of God for you. I tell myself that I live according to God’s will and I thank Him, knowing that everything is working together for my good to fulfill my destiny. I know my stand with Him.
Do you intend to remarry sooner or later?
I am walking in God’s purpose. Whatever happens right now is in his hands. If he says I will marry again, I will know. It actually took me a long time before I married the first time, because I had not heard from God and had not met the right person. Now, I am in a hush moment.

26-year-old lady, Ujunwa Ikwuka who is currently in police net in Anambra State said that she received N4, 000 for giving information to armed robbers that snatched an SUV in Ihiala, Anambra State.
Ujunwa who hails from Umunamehi in Ihiala, Anambra State was among the five car snatch syndicates arrested by the state command for snatching a Toyota Rav-4 SUV car belonging to one Amah Chinyere Theodera at gun point.
According to her,
“I’m the one who showed my gang the vehicle. I know the woman that owns the Jeep. She lives by my house and when they asked me the owner of the Jeep, I showed them. I was serving at a bar joint in Ihiala but due to my father’s ill health, I stopped the job to take care of him but he later died , after, I joined the gang. I did not say I am not involved, I got N4, 000 for giving them information.”
The Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ali Okechukwu, said the car was later recovered from the suspects and are now assisting SARS mine on their investigation.”

9-year-old Tyshawn Lee was walking on Chicago’s south side when he was lured into an alley and killed, but his father, whose alleged gang ties are believed to have played a role in the boy’s murder, won’t talk, according to disgusted police who on Friday pleaded for the community to help identify Tyshawn’s killer.
Tyshawn, an elementary school student, was walking to a relative’s home at approximately 4:30 p.m. Monday when the killer or killers lured him from a nearby park and into a neighborhood alley on the 8000 block of S. Damen Ave., where he was shot in the head and back.
Authorities have called on the child’s father, Pierre Stokes, to cooperate with them in solving the murder Monday that they described as “absolutely hateful.”
“Let me be clear that Mr. Stokes is a parent who lost his son,” Anthony Guglielmi, chief spokesman of the Chicago Police Department, told FoxNews.com. “But he potentially knows who did this. He potentially knows the background of the feud he was involved in.”
As of Friday morning, according to police, Stokes was not cooperating. “He emphatically communicated he has nothing to tell us,” Guglielmi said.
“It’s so heinous that a criminal enterprise would target the child of another gang member.” said Anthony Guglielmi, chief spokesman of the Chicago Police Department. “It’s gone to another level that, frankly, Chicago hasn’t seen in a very long time.”
Guglielmi’s remarks come a day after the Chicago Police Department released chilling details about the child’s murder. Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy told reporters during a press conference Thursday that Tyshawn was targeted because of recent violence between two gangs, one of which his father is a member.
Guglielmi said investigators initially thought the boy might have been “in the wrong place at the wrong time.” But the shock of the child’s murder prompted members of the community to come forward with information about his father’s gang affiliation.
Guglielmi said he knows the gangs involved but, “We need more people to come forward.”
“This case is going to break on community intelligence,” he said, noting a 35,000 reward that is being offered for any information leading to an arrest. “We are going to find out who did this. We are going hold them accountable.”
A local Catholic priest has also said he’s committed to justice for the boy and offered to pay money out of his own pocket to help anyone with information move from Chicago.
The Rev. Michael Pfleger, pastor of Chicago’s St. Sabina Church and a well-known anti-violence activist said:
“This was not a drive-by. This was not a spray of bullets. A baby was executed,” Pfleger told The Associated Press. “We have gone to a new low that’s removed what used to be some codes, some barriers, some lines that used to be drawn in the community, some things in our city that were not acceptable.”
