“If you don’t have a job, don’t marry because a man who can’t provide for his own house is worse than an infidel” – Nigerian pastor says

Nigerian pastor says

A Nigerian pastor, identified as Iniobong Obot, has advised men without a stable source of income or a job not to get married.

The clergyman took to Facebook to dish out this advice to single men, stating that an unemployed man should focus on getting a sustainable job instead of marriage.

 Nigerian pastor says

According to him, financial stability is very crucial in marriages because a man who can’t provide for his family is worse than an infidel.

He wrote on Thursday, April 20.

“As a man if you don’t have something that is giving you daily or monthly income, At this point what you are looking for is not wife but work. Leave spiritual aside, understand what is priority in life, because a man who can’t provide for his own house is worst than infidel.”

Socialite Shugatiti sues pastor who alleged that she is a “mami wata sent to destroy men”

Popular Ghanaian socialite, Shugatiti, has filed a lawsuit against popular clergyman, Frank Gogo and two others over alleged defamation.

The clergyman had, during an interview, alleged that Shugatiti, who owns a restaurant, uses extraterrestrial powers to lure customers into purchasing her cuisine and that she is possessed by a marine spirit. He also claimed that anyone who visited her restaurant would be possessed.

“She is possessed by a marine spirit, and all those who visit her restaurant will end up being possessed. She is a queen in the realms of the spirit. Anyone who has eaten in her restaurant and is a woman has been possessed,” he said.

Shugatiti has, however, denied these claims and filed a lawsuit, requesting that the court declare the statements made by Gogo and his associates defamatory and seeking general damages for defamation of character.

She stated that she is prepared to face Gogo in court if he can provide evidence to support his allegations.

In the court document, it was stated that Gogo alleged that the “plaintiff is a demon-possessed person of questionable character and means and hence it is dangerous for ordinary right-thinking members of society to be associated, acquainted or have any contact whatsoever with the dentist.”

Sharing the court document on her Instagram page, she wrote, “Members of Frank Gogo (Ekatso) church, inform your pastor to meet me in court to prove that I’m a demon of the sea with evidence of entering the sea.”

“Polygamy is my biggest mistake ever. Don’t do it” – Journalist with two wives warns

Journalist with two wives

A journalist, identified as Maynard Manyowa, has taken to Twitter to reveal that his biggest mistake in life is marrying two wives.

The man, who described himself as a ‘former polygamist’, made this revelation while reacting to a Twitter user who declared that polygamy is the future of marriage.

He explained that he is not in support of polygamy because of his personal experience with his two wives, and urged men to desist from polygamy otherwise they won’t have a peaceful life.

According to Maynard, he loves his first wife and only married his second wife to save her from the shame of being single. However, over time, he almost lost his first wife that he loved deeply because he wanted to keep his second wife.

He tweeted,

“As a former polygamist – I say this is bad advice. You will never know peace.

I was a lousy polygamist because I only ever loved one woman. And the other was not really my Mrs but someone I didn’t want to suffer ignominy of not being married.

Biggest mistake ever. Don’t do it

Let me just add. When polygamy is great, it’s amazing.

In fact polygamy is all good until it is all bad!

I enjoyed 10 years of it. Sweet!

Only issue is, in trying to keep the woman I didn’t want – I then nearly lost the one I wanted.

So perhaps polygamy isn’t bad – I am.”

Comedian, Seyi Law reacts to photo of man clamoring for tribalism in Yoruba-owned companies

Comedian Seyi Law reacts

Popular Nigerian comedian, Seyi Law, has reacted to a photo of a man clamoring for tribalism in the recruitment process in Yoruba-owned companies.

A movement led by the ‘Young Yoruba for Freedom (YYF)’ group called upon all businesses in the west and those owned by Yorubas in other regions to only hire their kinfolks.

They said it is the only way to ‘preserve themselves’, demanding that Yoruba people should hold 90% of the jobs in the businesses.

A man, who appears to belong to the group, was pictured holding a placard that reads ‘Yoruba Jobs for Yoruba People. It’s called self-preservation’.

See below,

Reacting to the trending photo, Seyi Law took to his Twitter handle to vehemently condemn the movement, and warned the perpetrators to stop promoting it.

Seyi Law, who is a staunch supporter of President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu, also declared that he didn’t support the All Progressive Congress (APC) to see such movements.

He tweeted on Thursday, April 20,

“This is absolute madness. I didn’t support ASIWAJU to see all these things.

Are you saying even companies owned by non- yoruba should do the same or just those owned by Yorubas? Either way, this is wrong, so let’s stop promoting rubbish in the name of anger.

The train girl was an opportunity for us to preach peace and show we are different. I am not belittling your anger, but we must learn to compromise for the collective peace we crave. You can respect your tribe without denigrating another. Abeg na, let’s sheath our swords.

These attitudes give bad names to good ideas. We must do what is right to say we deserve more. Please, I believe we can do better. Things are tending in the direction I don’t appreciate. This doesn’t in any way dim my support for the good, I believe ASIWAJU will bring. Thanks.”

Before I knew what was happening, he used wood and iron to hit me in my eye. Even when I was bleeding, he kept hitting me.”

Speaking further, she revealed that Agosu had not paid her dowry despite being together for 14 years and having four children together.

The alleged infringement involves Drake’s hit song “Calling My Name,” off his ‘Honestly, Nevermind’ album which was released in 2022 and became a massive hit worldwide.

According to Obrafour, Drake sampled the 2003 remix of Obrafour’s ‘Oye Ohene’ without his permission or proper credit.

The Ghanaian rapper is suing the international artist in a New York court, saying that Drake infringed on his copyright when he sampled his song without seeking his approval.

Based on the details of the suit, Drake had emailed Obrafour seeking permission to sample the song, but received no response.

The suit added that Drake went ahead to use the sample in the song despite not getting approval.

“Defendants released the Infringing Work on June 17, 2022, despite the fact that an agent of one or more Defendants had previously contacted Obrafour seeking to obtain Obrafour’s permission for the use of the Copyrighted Work in the Infringing Work,” the court document read in part.

“Obrafour never granted Defendants permission to use the Copyrighted Work, and the Infringing work was released mere days later.”

Obrafour further pointed out that the ‘Hotline Bling’ hitmaker and other defendants in the suit have greatly benefited from the proceeds of the song since its release.

He’s therefore seeking $10,000,000 (Ten Million Dollars) in damages, among others.

“To date, over the mere 304 days that have elapsed since the Infringing Work was released, the Infringing Work has already been streamed over 4.1 million times on YouTube, streamed over 47,442,160 times on Spotify, and streamed tens of millions of times on Apple Music.

In addition to generating enormous sums of global streams and sales across numerous platforms, the Infringing Work has also been exploited by the Defendants via other means, including live performance,” the document added.

N6 took to his Instastory to take a dig at MC Oluomo and accused him of being a hypocrite for seeking religious absolution despite his alleged involvement in the electoral malpractice in the Lagos state governorship and state assembly elections.

Recall that the elections were marred by violence, thuggery, tribalism, and allegations of electoral malpractice, with many pointing fingers at the involvement of political thug, MC Oluomo. However, the allegations were not properly addressed by him or the electoral body, INEC.

A few weeks after the election, MC Oluomo undertook the Hajj trip to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, the holiest city for Muslims, and was photographed holding onto the Kaaba as if his life depended on it.

Reacting to the viral photo, N6 slammed MC Oluomo for going to the holy city despite allegedly engaging in nefarious activities during the election process.

He wrote,

“See this hypocrite Mc Oluomo. After you commit evil and encourage Tribalism and Bloodshed in Lagos Elections, you Dey go Mecca to form holy. Werey”

“Respect is earned…” – Paul Okoye’s lover, Ivy, tackles him over Instagram post about ‘respect’

Nigerian model and brand influencer, Ivy Ifeoma, has tackled her lover, singer Paul Okoye, after he asserted that all that matters to a man is respect and not love.

The 41-year-old, who recently went public with his relationship with his 22-year-old lover, had stated via his Instagram page in February that sometimes, all a man needs from his partner is to be respected rather than to be loved.

According to him, men are not always concerned about love, and respect is the only thing that matters to them.

“For Men… Sometimes it’s not all about love. RESPECT… is all that matters!!!” he wrote.

This assertion didn’t sit well with Paul’s lover, Ivy, and she recently took to her Instagram stories to react.

She quoted her lover and asked what makes a man’s partner different from any random person if all that matters to him is respect?

She went on to set men who demand respect like their life depends on it straight that respect is earned. She urged them to respect their partners too and stop acting like a dog.

“Men don’t need love, all they need is respect.” These are two different things, bro. If that’s all you need, what’s the difference between your partner and any random person, ’cause anyone can respect you… But there’s respect in love too.

And those men that keep demanding respect up and down like their lives depend on it, hope you know it’s earned? Stop acting like a dog and treat others with respect too,” she wrote.

Her post has, however, elicited speculation that she and the singer are currently going through a rough patch in their relationship.
