Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, has opened up about the tragic death of his 3-year-old son, Ifeanyi.

Recall that Ifeanyi died on October 31st 2022 after drowning in a swimming pool at his father’s residence in the Banana Island area of Lagos State.

Davido, who recently released his long-awaited album ‘Timeless,’ said in an exclusive interview with CNN that the loss of his son had an impact on the project.

“Before my son passed, we had finished the album. But it was a tragic situation and I really had to calm myself down and take a step back,” he explained.

He added that he and his wife, Chioma, didn’t deserve to lose their son, and that no one in the world deserves to lose a child.

“Nobody would want that,” Davido said, referring to the death of his son. “And everybody knows that I and Chioma didn’t deserve that.”

The 30-year-old singer further attributed his comeback to the overwhelming support he received from his family, friends, and fans.

“At some point I couldn’t open my Instagram for weeks. One day, I just checked it and I saw messages from every kind of person in the world. I was like ‘you’re fine, you see everybody is rooting for you.’ That was one thing that really made me strong enough to stand up again, get back in the studio and do what I love.” He told CNN.

Veteran Nigerian singer, Charles Oputa, professionally known as Charly Boy, has opened up about his battle with prostate cancer.

Taking to his Instagram page, Charly Boy revealed that he had been battling the illness that, according to him, almost took his life for the past 10 days.

He shared a video of himself being wheeled out of the theater and thanked God for another chance at life.

According to Charly Boy, he has fought and won many battle in his life, but being a survivor is the greatest favor God has done for him.

“Today I am being discharged from the hospital. In my life, I am happy doing this video. I have fought so many battles. And I have won so many battles. But for the past ten days, I have been battling with something very huge.

“But as God would have it, he saved my life and I beat that sucker. I have been fighting my prostrate issues. It’s not a small thing. Not as you are seeing me shining. You will see videos and know I came from the jaws of death. That thing that has killed many people did not kill me.” He said.

Speaking further, he thanked his family members and the Nigerian doctors who were in charge of his treatment.

“I want to thank God for sparing my life. I want to thank my cousins who gave me great support and love. You guys are the best. I want to thank my friends and well-wishers for standing by me. This is the biggest fight ever that I have had in my life.

“Above all, I want to thank the doctor who saw to it. He did a fantastic job. His name is Kingsley Ekwueme. He was the doctor who took care of me and who saw my problem. I want to thank you. You are a great guy.

“As you can see I didn’t travel to London or America. I had my treatment in Nigeria. I am back. Charly Boy no dey finish na. I am not going anywhere soon.” He added.

Nigerian Instagram comedian, Mr. Jollof has countered footballer, Abba Yusuf Bichi after he declared actress Nancy Isime “the most beautiful girl in Nigeria.”

Abba Bichi had recently taken to social media to gush over the media personality turned actress, Nancy, describing her as the “most beautiful girl in Nigeria.”

Taking to his Instagram page, Bichi shared a video of Nancy at the gym and noted that he doesn’t believe there’s any other lady as beautiful as she is in Nigeria.

“No girl in Nigeria fine pass Nancy! If you don’t agree then go to court. Say thank you, daddy”.

Comedian, Mr Jollof, however, did not agree with Bichi’s assertion and did not hesitate to counter him in the comments.

He noted that he has no intention to disrespect anyone, but he was simply stating what he considers to be the facts.

A Nigerian woman has reportedly been asked to observe 40 days mourning for her ex-husband who passed away recently.

This comes twenty years after the said husband abandoned her and their three children to pursue another woman, and even welcomed children with her.

An Optometrist, identified as Chioma Onwuelingo, who disclosed the rather surprising event on Facebook, revealed that the woman involved is her nanny.

According to Chioma, apart from mourning her ex-husband for 40 days, the nanny’s children are expected to fund the burial because the children he had with the other woman are still young.

She wrote on Facebook,

A Nigerian man has reportedly ended his relationship with his girlfriend of 12 years on the basis that they are not “spiritually compatible for marriage.”

A Twitter user, simply identified as @ifeomatess, who shared the story on Twitter claimed that the man dumped this lady he had been dating for 12 years to marry another lady he met six months ago.

It was gathered that the man and his family had gone to check spiritually if he and the lady he had been dating since she was 18 were compatible.

The founder of Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo, has reacted to a rumored audio recording of him and Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi.

On Saturday, April 1, a purported audio recording of both men surfaced on the internet and quickly went viral, sparking mixed reactions.

In the said audio recording, a man alleged to be Peter Obi is heard pleading with the Bishop to assist him in soliciting votes from Christians in the South-West and Kwara state.

“Daddy, I need you to speak to your people in the South-West and Kwara, the Christians in the South-West and Kwara. This is a religious war. Like I keep saying: if this works, you people will never regret the support,” he was heard saying in the audio.

Popular Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, has announced that she has converted to Islam, her husband Kazim Adeoti’s religion.

The thespian, who had earlier revealed that she was observing the Ramadan fast with her husband, made this revelation while being interviewed during a Ramadan lecture and special prayers hosted by herself and her husband.

During the interview, the mother of two announced her conversion to Islam and her new name.

Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Iyanya has taken to social media to reminisce how his crew reportedly spent millions of naira in an effort to get, American-Trinidadian performer, Nicki Minaj to feature in his song.

The musician admitted that he and Triple MG Boss, Ubi Franklin tried to work with Nicki after Kukere had been released and became a huge success, he claimed that they thought about the next big song.

Iyanya claims that D’Tunez altered the rhythm for Kukere and that they then used it to make “Your Waist,” which also got a ton of airplay.

According to him, he and Ubi Franklin resolved to make the song a global hit and that Nicki Minaj should be a part of the remake.

They began contacting individuals in this way, and they eventually made the connection to meet Nicki.
He clarified that they spent $23,000, or roughly 4 million naira in 2013, on transportation and other incidentals while attempting to meet her.

The aspiring vocalist claimed that after a failed outing, they finally went back to Nigeria.

He wrote;

Side chic allegedly poison’s sugar daddy’s family for refusing to take her as second wife

A Twitter user identified as Simon has disclosed that a woman allegedly poisoned the married man she was dating, along with six members of his family.

He claimed that the side chic wanted to become the man’s second wife, but when he refused, she devised a cunning plan to retaliate against him.

According to Simon, the sugar daddy wanted to terminate his relationship with her, so he gave her an enormous amount of money as a parting gift.

She conspired to poison the entire family with his personal driver because she felt used and discarded.

He allegedly received N500,000 from the culprit in exchange for assisting her in carrying out the heinous deed.

He wrote;

“A side chick ended an entire family of 6, simply because the man refuse to take her as a second wife, after receiving huge amount of money as a pay off, this wicked act was achieved through their close driver who helped poisoned their food for just 500k bribe.”

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo has reacted to the viral video of a man who claimed to be a member of Peter Obi’s ‘Obedient’ movement, being forcefully evacuated from an aircraft.

The individual yelled, “Tinubu must not be sworn in as president,” and stopped the plane from taking off was removed from the plane.

He caused panic among many passengers who thought he posed a threat during the journey. When airport security came, they dragged the guy obscenely out of the plane.

Festus Keyamo responded to the event via his Twitter account, saying the presidential contender the arrested guy is supporting must publicly denounce this action.

He wrote;

“One emotionally and mentally dysfunctional ‘OBIdient’ who carried his ‘Tinubu-must-not-be-sworn-in’ campaign to a local flight yesterday and was forcefully deboarded when he became disruptive, has just seen the difference between causing trouble in real life and mobilizing the headless mob on social media for likes and retweets. And it is important that since this dangerous action amounting to public nuisance was carried out in supposed support of one of the Presidential candidates, that candidate MUST come out to condemn it unreservedly. @officialABAT has since issued a statement calling on his supporters to tone down the rhetoric and to embrace national healing and reconciliation. Comedienne Anita Asuoha, aka Real Warri Pikin, and her husband Ikechukwu Asuoha are about to have their “dream wedding” 10 years after they got married.

Anita has previously admitted that because of a lack of resources at the time, her wedding was not everything she had hoped it would be but now expects to have the wedding of her dreams.

The pair will renew their vows on June 10 at their ideal bridal celebration to commemorate their tenth wedding anniversary.

The pair, who have two children, posed for a photo shoot before renewing their vows.

The Police Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi, has revealed that Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola aka Portable will be charged with at least six counts when he appears at the court due to his disorderly behavior and instigation of violence against police personnel.

Recall that Portable was arrested by men of the Ogun state police command on Friday, March 31.

CSP Adejobi took to his Twitter page to share this after a Twitter user accused the police force of acting swiftly to arrest Portable and ignoring other credible threats.

He wrote;

“I am sure u are very awake as i have addressed MCs case, but portable has more than 6 count charges to attend to, apart from resisting arrest and injuring a police man. He will be charged to court for beating up a guy in otta, who fired a petition to CP Ogun.

Popular musician, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, has revealed how he got the idea to name his new album ‘Timeless.

Speaking in an interview about his latest music project, he shared that ace music producer, Michael Ajereh aka Don Jazzy suggested the title he should give his fourth studio album.

He clarified that Jazzy made the suggestion in his direct message (DM) about a year ago, and he followed it up.

Davido said he almost chose a different album name but eventually settled for ‘Timeless’, as suggested by the Mavin boss.

In his words;

“Funny enough, Jazzy actually DMed me like a year ago and suggested that I named my album Timeless. In the end I changed it like two months ago and changed it back.”

Former lawmaker, Shehu Sani has taken to social media to throw shade at Ovation Magazine Publisher, Dele Momodu.

The political affairs expert claimed that he noticed Momodu had stopped tweeting and felt compelled to inquire about him.

Sani, who represented Kaduna Central in the Senate tagged the businessman and wondered why he has not been tweeting ever since his preferred presidential candidate lost the election.

Momodu is an ally of Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate in the just concluded election, but he came second in the election.

A South African man, Phasha Manapyane, has told a bizarre tale to illustrate how essential it is for people to receive an education.

According to Phasha, his non-educated partner handed over possession of their home to a third party without realizing it was a scam.

He claims that a con artist came to their home and pretended to be a pizza delivery person, but the surprise is that his family never placed a pizza order.
