Big Brother Naija star and art curator, Arinola Olowoporoku, better known as Arin, has announced that she has relocated from Nigeria to Canada.

The reality TV star, who shared the news via her Instagram page on Tuesday, January 24, expressed gratitude to God for all her blessings.

Arin shared photos of herself in Ontario, Canada, and captioned them,

“If you told me this is how I’ll be starting 2023, I won’t argue with you because this life dey carry me where I no know all the damn time & I just stay and enjoy the ride gleefully . New City. Same Career. New Lane. Fifth Life.

A Nigerian woman has narrated how her son was miraculously healed from the injuries he sustained after falling from a storey building.

The woman shared her testimony at the Living Faith Church in Ota, Ogun state – pastored by popular clergyman, Bishop David Oyedepo – on Sunday, January 22.

Recounting the incident, the woman said her son fell from a storey building and landed on a tiled floor. Due to the impact of the fall, his head got seven times bigger than it’s normal size and his eyes bulged out of it’s sockets.

She said her son was rushed to the hospital for urgent medical attention but the doctors struggled to administer oxygen on him.

According to her, on the night of the incident, she was praying with the church’s prayer guideline when a man, whom she claimed was Jesus Christ, appeared to her.

She said ‘Jesus’ asked about the predicament of her son, and proceeded to stretch his leg and turned his head on his hospital bed, before disappearing.

She said the following morning when a doctor came to examine her son, he certified him okay and said he can be discharged, to her utmost surprise.

Speaking further, she said her son who couldn’t walk after the incident started walking and running in a short time.

She said the miraculous encounter caused a major stir in their neighbourhood and everyone, including a Babalawo’s son, came to fellowship with them.

Popular Nollywood actor, Charles Okocha otherwise known as Igwe Tupac, has revealed why he’s yet to get married.

Speaking in an interview with Punch, the father of two said he’s yet to settle down because he is taking his time to find the right woman.

According to him, he is focused on taking care of his two children for now until he finds a worthy woman who can take care of them.

Charles Okocha, who mentioned that he has never been married, made reference to how couples that many people see as role models split after years of marriage, leaving him wondering how he is going into the institution.

“The truth is I have never been married in my life and I am a happy man. You and I know what is going on these days, you see a couple married for a couple of years and next, they are divorced.

People you see as role models are getting divorced and when you see them you are like what is going on? These are people you have been looking up to and now they are divorced, how then do you want me to get into this marriage thing?

Billionaire businessman and politician, Ned Nwoko has gone online to shower encomium on the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.

He took to his official Instagram page to share photos he took with Atiku at a PDP rally in Delta state, and recounted his encounter with him during his tenure as Vice President twenty years ago.

According to Ned, years back, there was agitation in PDP for Atiku to contest against former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, when he wanted to run for second term.

However, he and his late friend, Bala Kaoke, visited him to convince him against running against Obasanjo and he humbly obliged.

Ned, who described Atiku as “our incoming president”, stated that based on his experience with him, Atiku is a good man.

The Delta state-born business tycoon wrote,

“Even though today was a pdp rally, it was an opportunity to reminisce with our incoming president on what happened over 20years ago when myself and my late friend Bala Kaoje met with the then vp to persuade him not to contest against his boss and how humble he was with his response that as a true muslim, he will support OBJ for his re-election despite the enormous pressure from the then pdp governors to contest against OBJ. He is indeed a good man.”

Ghanaian side chick sues her ‘sugar daddy’ over failed promises

A Ghanaian lady, identified as Deborah Seyram Adablah, has sued her sugar daddy for reneging on his promises to take care of her.

Adablah, a former employee of First Atlantic Bank, dragged her former boss, who doubles as her lover, Ernest Kwasi Nimako, to the Accra High Court, and he is expected to appear before Friday, January 27, 2023.

In a suit dated January 23, 2023, Deborah contends that Ernest agreed to buy her a car, pay for her accommodation for three years, give her a monthly stipend of GH3,000, divorce his wife to marry her, and also give her a lump sum to start a business.

In her writ of summons and statement of claims, which have since gone viral on social media, Deborah alleges that the “sugar daddy” bought the car but registered it in his name.

Later, he denied her access to use it after about a year of enjoying the Honda Civic, worth GH120,000, while he also paid for only one year of accommodation.

Deborah, whose national service period ended in July 2021, admits to being in a relationship with the married man, claiming that her happiness at the workplace was under threat had she failed to give in to the relationship.

She also accused the defendant of abuse, sexual harassment, maltreatment, exploitation and also lowering her reputation.

She further noted that she turned down an opportunity to be a permanent staff after her national service due to the manager’s promise of making life comfortable for her.

Deborah revealed that her boss further promised to divorce his wife and marry her because his marriage had broken down beyond repairs.

However, in July 2022, their relationship went south when Ernest decided to stop paying her rent and also providing other benefits he promised her.

This forced Deborah to sue her sugar daddy and former boss for breach of contract.

She’s seeking an order from the court directing the defendant to fulfil all promises, including payment of a lump sum to help her start a business and take care of herself. Below is a list of her demands:

Transfer the title of the car into her name.

Cost of repairs of 10,000gh.

Pays lump sum money to enable her to start a business. Pay remaining 2 years’ rent.

Pays the outstanding arrears of her monthly allowance from July 2022 to the date of judgment and pays all medical expenses as a result of side effects. General damages against her. Any other relief(s) the court deems necessary including legal costs.

Popular Nollywood actress, Sandra Okunzuwa, has shared a painful experience that made her despise men for a long time.

In a recent interview with The Sun, the screen diva discussed her traumatic experiences with men and how she overcame the trauma.

According to her, she was sexually abused as a child, and when she confronted her abuser as a grown woman, she was stigmatised.

She said the experience made her hate men for a while, but she has now healed and moved on.

“Sexually abused as a kid? Yes. Mental health victim? Yes. In the society we live in, people don’t talk about mental health issues; they expect you to visit your pastor and you will be alright. As an actor, it is not easy. First, you will have to embody the life of different characters and personalities, the good, the bad and the terrible.

Despite what you are going through personally, you have to wear a smile and keep entertaining people because that is what people expect from you. I think there should be a special therapist for entertainers, because it is not easy. Giving out joy to people and lacking where to fill up from. Most people are broken; they’re carrying about baggage from the past, if you don’t talk about it so you can get help, you will keep carrying it about until it destroys you. By sharing your problems with your partner, you can get help.

Lastly, being traumatized isn’t a spiritual issue; it is a mental issue that needs a therapist. I will get married to my perfect partner someday. Before, it (the sexual abuse) kind of made me resent men, but I have healed from it and moved on. I am a lot better now.” She said.

Social media personality, Andrew Tate has expressed his dissatisfaction with the prison’s circumstances in a letter he sent from his cell in a Romanian jail.

The former professional kickboxer is accused of trafficking and abusing sex and detained in a Romanian jail until February 27, following his arrest in December.

The 36-year-old former MMA fighted shed light on his first 27 days in detention and sent a sober story to followers of his website, titled: “My first email from imprisonment”.

It read;

“They are trying to break me.
“Thrown inside a cell without light.
“Cockroaches, lice, and bed bugs are my only friends at night.
“When the guards bring me to and from the courtroom, I stay absolutely respectful.
“They try to pour hatred into my heart.”

His protests come after a court decision last week that prolonged his incarceration as investigations continue until February 27.

After a police raid on their opulent property in Romania, Tate, and his brother were taken into custody in December for the suspected kidnapping of two young ladies at their home in the village of Voluntari, the couple has allegedly been under investigation.

According to a statement from Romania’s Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT), the British-born suspects lured victims using the “loverboy method”.

DIICOT said the female victims were taken to buildings in Ilfov County, on Bucharest’s outskirts, where they were “sexually exploited by group members”.

Although the jail where Tate is being detained has not been identified, earlier stories have exposed the appalling circumstances in which detainees are housed.

The country’s jails were criticized in a report by the Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment of the Council of Europe.

The shocking report also revealed that the majority of inmates spend 23 hours per day locked up in their filthy cells.

According to Romanian legislation, inmates are only permitted one hour of “outside recreation” each day, which they might utilize for reading or exercising.

It read;

“Material conditions in all the prisons visited were generally poor, with cells dilapidated, lacking equipment (storage space, tables and chairs), and mattresses and bedding worn out and infested with bed bugs and cockroaches.”

Other winners also went home with different home appliances including Sewing machines, generating sets and rechargeable fans. A total of 60 winners emerged from the draw that preceded the prize presentation ceremony.

UNIBEN students stage protest after sports director died due to alleged negligence

The University of Benin’s (UNIBEN) current director of sport, Perez Boubouwei passed away on Tuesday, January 24, and this has sparked a protest by students of the institution.

Perez, who graduated from the Faculty of Education last month, was doing his clearance when he suddenly fell ill on Sunday, January 22.

According to reports, he was rushed to the school’s teaching hospital (UBTH) but died on Tuesday morning due to alleged negligence from the hospital staff.

“On Sunday, he complained of stomach ache and was rushed to UBTH. The doctors said that payment should be made before they commence treatment. After the payment was made, they gave him several injections without running proper tests on him to know what was actually wrong with him.
They also asked his family to pay for oxygen but they didn’t use it. They didn’t even tell his mum what was happening to him. They ignored the young man and attended to someone who came with an ambulance.
The deceased’s family did X-ray, the nurses couldn’t even explain the X-ray result to them. They neglected him until he died,” a source said.

Singer Blackface accuses Asake of intellectual property theft

Nigerian singer, Blackface has taken to his social media page to call out fast-rising Nigerian singer, Asake over alleged intellectual theft.

Blackface, in a series of posts on Twitter, accused the “PBUY” star of remixing “his song,” “Joha,” without his permission.

According to Blackface, Asake stole his hit song “Joha” from him without giving him credit.

This comes after ace videographer TG Omori, who directed the video of Asake’s hit song “Joha,” made the startling revelation that he charged $165,000 (over $75 million) for the music video.

Taking to his Twitter page, a disgruntled Blackface pointed out that such an amount was used to shoot the video, but no one could call the “owner of the song” to inform him before remixing the song.

“You spend $165k dollars to shoot musical video for your artist Una no fit use 100naira call the owner of the song before una remix am Una dey form say una smart I believe E better make una do the right thing because this one I no go sorry for una ! I dey come !.” He wrote in part.

Meanwhile, an old video of Asake, performing “Joha” during his university days recently surfaced online.

The 27-year-old graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, rose to prominence early in 2022 following the release of his hit track “Omo Ope,” featuring YBNL boss Olamide, and has since become a force to be reckoned with in the Nigerian music industry.

The old video that’s currently making the rounds online shows Asake and his team performing “Joha” on the stage of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) years before the song became a hit.

It was gathered that that was the first time he performed the track, “Joha,” and a few years later, after he became a star, he modified the song, which is now a global hit. ICYMI.

Bobrisky to gift old house to lucky fan as he prepares to move into Lekki mansion (Video)

Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, has announced plans to gift his current house to a lucky fan.

The male Barbie, in a video he shared online, said he is finally ready to move into his N400 million mansion in the Lekki area of Lagos, which he bought last year.

In the video, Bob also gave conditions to people interested in taking over his old house when he moves out.

According to him, the person must be able to manage and take care of his house before they are allowed to live there without paying rent.

He said he’s, however, yet to decide if the house will go to a single man, woman, or family.

Recall that in July 2022, the 30-year-old transvestite unveiled his new mansion located in Lagos State, which he claims is worth N400 million, and threw a grand housewarming party to celebrate it.

However, some Lagos residents who passed in front of the house at the time revealed that the entire place is deserted and that not a single air conditioner has been installed in the property.

A video of the mansion was also shared online to show that the controversial crossdresser is yet to furnish and move into the house despite allegedly spending millions on a lavish housewarming party.

Bobrisky reacted to the comments in a video shared on his social media page. He assured fans that he is indeed the owner of the house so he doesn’t need to rush into it.

According to him, he has contracted an interior decorator to furnish the house to his taste and was billed N80 million for the furnishing alone because they would import the furniture.

He further stated that people shouldn’t rush him to move into his own house, while adding that he plans to move in before Christmas in December.

Big Brother Naija star, Angel Smith has fired back at media personality, Nedu Wazobia, for claiming female BBNaija stars have nothing to offer except sex.

Nedu had stated this during a recent episode of his podcast, ‘The Honest Bunch Podcast’. According to him, most women intentionally go for the reality TV show to get more customers for their bodies. Read here

The popular host evidently stepped on some toes with his statement as he has been lambasted by some BBNaija stars, including Angel.

In a series of tweets shared on Twitter, the 22-year-old star averred that Nedu is misogynistic and hates seeing women progress.

“I’m not a violent person” – Actress Wumi Toriola finally breaks silence on marriage crash

Popular Nollywood actress, Wumi Toriola, has confirmed that her marriage of three years has crashed.

There had been rumours that the actress and her husband, who married on May 13, 2018, and have a son together, had parted ways.

However, Wumi finally confirmed the rumour in a lengthy note on her Instagram page on Tuesday, January 24 revealing that the marriage ended over a year ago.

“Yes, it is true the marriage is over. We have gone out separate ways for over a year now. It didn’t work out, there was no need for drama hence my reason for not letting my fans know,” she wrote.

Speaking further, Wumi dismissed rumours that the marriage ended because she is violent and allegedly beat up her mother and mother-in-law.

According to her, the marriage didn’t work out, and they parted ways without any drama.

“Yesterday I saw a report where it was alleged that I was violent while the marriage lasted, and I used to beat my mother and my mother-in-law. It was reported that my ex allegedly concocted this lies. For the records, I am not a violent person. I have not had to exchange punches with anyone and I was never violent in the marriage.

The most painful part of the report is that I used to beat my mother. This is not only personal attack, it is satanic. It is against everything I stand for and believe. As a properly raised Yoruba lady, it is costly to lay your hands against your parent. As a matter of fact, my mum has been late for over 20 years. And I never raise my hands against my mother-in-law, It never happened, it will never happen.

My family members, my ex’s family members and our neighbors can testify to that. I wish those who started the rumour and those spreading well and pray that God rewards everyone of us according to the works of our hands. As for me, I am focused on the next level, and I have moved on from the past. I advice everyone else to do the same.”

Music video director, TG Omori has broken the internet with a shocking revelation about the music video of singer Asake’s hit song, Joha.

The celebrated videographer, in a tweet shared via his Twitter handle, disclosed that he charged $165k for the music video.

TG Omori made this revelation while responding to a troll who tried to downplay the quality of his work, following reports that he charges his clients from $50,000 for a music video production.

His rate was brought to light after controversial singer, Portable, contacted him to shoot the vdieo of his trending song ‘Apostle’, but received a huge shock when he heard the price. Recall that Portable went online to call him out for charging him $50,000.

Reacting to this, a troll had taken to Twitter to say none of TG Omori’s work warrants that amount of money, insinuating that he is overpriced.

“TG omori doesn’t have one video that warrants his price to be $50k”, the troll tweeted.

The director didn’t take the comment lying down as he responded with the shocking amount he charged for Asake’s ‘Joha’ video.

“Joha video is about $165k. Crying?” he responded.

TG Omori had earlier in December 2022 disclosed that Joha is the most expensive video he has ever shot, and the amount in naira would break a calculator.

In the scene from the upcoming movie that Destiny Etiko shared, she was made to carry a dog in her right arm and drag three others in chains.

The actress could be seen fidgeting in the video because she was scared that the dogs would bite her. She struggled to hold the dogs for some minutes before calling for someone to come take the animals.

Popular businessman, Jason Njoku has explained why he makes it a priority to spend quality time with his family despite his busy schedule.

In a series of tweets he shared on Twitter, the iRoko TV boss said he has a work and travel culture that factors in time for his family, and he can never sacrifice the time meant for his family on something else.

Jason said he understands that life is fragile and vain, and nothing can be compared to spending time with his wife, mother and children.

He added that even though money is tantamount to living a good life, he knows many rich people who are bored and lonely.

The father of three whose social media page is filled with photos of his wife and children, tweeted,

“Haven’t left home in 10days. Almost ready to hit the road again. Something that has helped me build rapid travel movement muscle is my own little rule. I MUST come home every 10days. This means if I need to travel across Lusaka, Kinshasa or JoBurg. Its 2-3 days/city then home.

I won’t sacrifice my presence at home. Never. If I have to spend more than 2 weeks anywhere. Entire clan relocates. Kids <10 so it works. Not sure this works when the kids are older. But for now thats the clan culture. People think its weird I fly 13hrs to spend weekends at home.

8 years ago Obi (then 1.5yrs) never used to see me. So when he started speaking he used to call me Mummy. If there was a point where I knew things had to change and I need to prioritise family over everything else. That was it. Never regretted it since.

Spending more time with my Mum has reinforced this massively too. Firstly at late 30s & early 40s you begin to see parents, aunties & uncles pass on. At first its a trickle. Then its every month someone you grew up with passes on. For your parents that is actually terrifying.

Literally someone around them of similar age is dying every month. If that doesn’t focus the mind on the fragility of life I don’t know what will. At 42 I am statistically at 50% of my life on planet earth ( life expectancy is 81). In that is 53 (79% there already).

I now know that beyond $1m everything is vanity. Money helps but I know plenty of lonely or bored rich folks. Me? I retire at 50. So being healthy & spending time with my wife, Mum & kids x100 anything else I achieve. Seeing them grow never fails to warm my heart. ”

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Kess Adjekpovu, has taken to social media to defend his female colleagues following OAP Nedu’s controversial claim about ladies who go on the show.

Recall that Nedu, during a recent episode of his “Honest Bunch” podcast, claimed that most women go to Big Brother Naija to get more customers to patronise their bodies.

He stated that Big Brother makes these women popular without giving them a major means to sustain and maintain their fame.

He said that these ladies then begin a serious hunt for clients who might use their services, which, according to him, is the prime motivation for their participation in the show.

“Do you know what Big Brother does for you? It takes you from here… Boom! Shoots you up. But there’s no substance to hold you onto. Na kpekus most of them get to offer. They intentionally go there just to get customers.” He said.

In an apparent reaction to Nedu’s claim, reality star Kess, via his Twitter handle, said that the trend of tagging his colleagues as “sluts” is distasteful.

He noted that the majority of them are independent and work hard to fund their lifestyles, so it’s very unfair to undermine their hard work.

“This trend of tagging female Big Brother housemates as sluts is distasteful. 95% of them are highly intelligent, sufficiently independent, super talented and are legit hustlers. It is unfair to undermine their hard work.” He wrote on Twitter.

The singer recently paid a visit to his mother and posted beautiful moments from the visit on social media.

Veteran Nollywood actress, Patience Ozokwor has in a new interview averred that she can never leave her matrimonial home over infidelity.

The thespian stated this while having a heart-to-heart conversation with her colleague, Mercy Johnson, on her cooking show, Mercy’s Menu.

Speaking on the advise she would give women with unfaithful husbands, Patience Ozokwor, who lost her husband in 2000, said cheating is not a deal breaker for her and she would not leave her marriage over an affair.

She said her husband’s mistress should be the one to leave because she is the intruder. She added that she would rather hold on to her family until peace is restored than walk away.

She however stated that if her husband continues cheating and is unwilling to change, he would be the one to leave the house.

Her words,

“I’m not going to leave my house for any body. You are the visitor that came in, find your way out. I will so hold my family, so polish it and sweep out all the dirt and have a peaceful home again.
If infidelity is constant, it’s the one that’s infidel that should go out.”
