Nigerian music producer, Samuel Oguachuba popularly known as Samklef, has given his two cents on the music industry and declared it dead.

This comes after Grammy award-winning singer, Wizkid, said he doesn’t listen to rap because the genre is ‘dead, boring and tired’.

According to Samklef, international body now controls Afrobeats and the country has already lost its great artists, Burna Boy and WizKid and other artistes are following them.

He added that, the upcoming acts no longer rated the industry and saw it as local and they are all striving for international deals too.

His words;

“Rip Nigeria industry.. international body don take over. U are now local just as u treat other celebrities way back.. Wizkidayo is gone, burna boy is gone. Other artists otilo. Pele Pele .

Nigerian actress, Monalisa Stephen has called out the legendary actor Olaiya Igwe for the unclad video he posted to pray for Bola Ahmed Tinubu, APC’s presidential candidate.

Olaiya Igwe whose real name is Ebun Oloyede shared a video of himself showering prayers for Tinubu ahead of the coming 2023 election while naked.

Monalisa posted the video on her instagram story and tagged it, mental illness.

According to her, Nigerians did not take mental illness seriously, that was why the veteran actor’s behavior was left unchecked and unbothered.

She wrote;

Nollywood actor, Williams Uchemba has shared a video of his wife, Brunella, drinking garri for the first time, and her reaction was quite amusing.

In the video, Brunella, who is said to have lived most of her life in the United Kingdom before moving to Nigeria, has a bowl of garri garnished with sugar and milk to taste. There were also beans and groundnuts on the side, as her husband gave her options to try her garri with.

After adding water to the garri mix, Williams stirred it and then fed it to his wife, who made a face and noted that the garri was sandy.

Sharing the video on his Facebook page, Williams Uchemba revealed that after that first try, his wife became addicted to garri.

“When my wife tried drinking Garri for the first time and ever since then she has been addicted”, He wrote.

Nollywood actor and movie producer, Ebun Oloyede, popularly known as Olaiya Igwe, has stripped to his birthday suit to pray for the victory of his choice candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the 2023 presidential election.

The actor posted a video with cinematic effect and soundtrack of the audacious move on his official Instagram page in the early hours of Saturday, December 3.

In the video, Olaiya was stark naked at the beach, offering prayers to God for the success of the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Tinubu, whom he tagged the messiah of Nigeria.

The lady disclosed that she built the house for her mother nine years after her stepbrother chased them out of their family house following her father’s demise.

Popular Nollywood star turned singer, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, has spoken about her transition into music and some of the challenges she has encountered so far.

The talented actress, who’s married to Nigerian music icon Banky W, made her entry into the Nigerian music industry earlier in the year with her debut single, “So Natural,” and only a few months later, Adesua, who goes by the stage name Susu, dropped her EP, “Sue Me.”

In a recent interview with Hip TV, the mother of one discussed why she decided to go into music and some of the challenges she faces in her new endeavor.

“First of all music has always been something that I have been passionate about. I actually started singing before I started acting and people that have known me for a very long time know that I’ve been singing for a while.

“But I think my biggest thing was just fear and the fear of failure. How do I go about it? It’s funny because I had these same reservations when I wanted to go into acting industry, I was like how am I going to break in? But the truth is that at some point you just have to realize that you just have to try. I can live with trying and failing but I can’t live with not trying at all.

“And I don’t believe that God gives you anything to just sit on it. You might as well give it a shot because you don’t know what life you’re going to impact. You don’t know how successful you’re going to be, or not. But at least you gave it a shot. So I just decided to try it and it’s something that I greatly enjoy. I enjoy the process of creating music and writing music.

“Obviously I’m a newbie and I’m still learning but I’m very patient with the fact that I’m on a journey and I’m patient with the fact that it’s okay to enjoy the process even though it isn’t perfect, and that’s all I’m doing.” She said.

Speaking about the acceptance of her music and how she reacts to naysayers, Adesua said,

“Obviously it’s been half and half. Obviously there are people that appreciate the start of a new journey but I also understand that when people know you doing one thing, it’s kinda hard for them to open their minds to the fact that you’re trying to do something else.

“But all these things take time and I am patient enough to win over anybody that needs convincing, and guess what? Not everybody is going to be convinced and that’s okay too. Everybody is not for everybody.”

The General Overseer of the Love of Christ Generation (C & S) Church, London, spoke about the current rave among Nigerians to ‘japa’ while preaching in her church recently.

She questioned if married couples are ready to face the reality of living in a foreign clime, and if their marriage can stand the test of time abroad.

According to her, there is a wide difference between the way things work in Nigeria and abroad, so they should think properly before making the decision.

She further stated that some people live better lives in Nigeria but because of the obsession to ‘japa’, they leave Nigeria and end up living average lives abroad.

She further advised them to reconsider moving abroad if God is not leading them to migrate from Nigeria.

Popular Afrobeat singer, Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid, has replied all the Nigerian rappers that have come for him since he shared his opinion about rap music.

The ‘Bad To Me’ crooner, speaking in a recent interview with 10 magazine, said he doesn’t listen to rap because the genre is ‘dead, boring and tired’. He rated Afrobeats over other music genres and declared it the new pop.

Nigerian rappers who did not appreciate this review from Wizkid have taken to social media to voice their displeasure.

Indigenous Nigerian rapper, Oladips, who was also offended by the comment, released a diss track to lampoon Wizkid.

Taking to Snapchat, Wizkid replied to the rappers calling them broke and boldly stating that he did not recognize them as artistes when he was speaking.

According to him, there were only three rappers in Africa and none of them were Nigerians.

His words;

The jeweler, identified as Hollyghost Nicki, took to her Instagram page to call out the alleged thief and shared a CCTV footage that captures the whole incident.

According to her, the young man ordered for a Moissanite diamond necklace and pendant, and requested for payment on delivery which is against her company policy, but she obliged and sent a dispatch rider to deliver the jewelry.

However, the young man played a smart move on the dispatch rider and absconded with the jewelry which costs N920k. Following the unpleasant experience, the vendor vowed not to do payment on delivery again.

Singer Portable allegedly knocks woman down with his car while driving recklessly (Video)

Popular Nigerian singer, Portable, is in the news again for the wrong reason.

The Zazu Zeh Star, who recently released his debut album “Ika of Africa,” is alleged to have knocked a woman down with his car.

According to eyewitnesses, Portable was driving recklessly when he hit the woman in the Ipaja area of Lagos on Friday.

A video making the rounds online showed the singer profusely begging a woman who’s alleged to be the victim as he led her away from the scene where onlookers had gathered.

This comes only a few months after Portable’s driver allegedly killed a commercial motorcyclist in an accident that occurred in Ogun state.

The Ogun State Police command Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the incident in a chat with newsmen, said the driver was with the singer’s Range Rover jeep.

According to information obtained, the fatal incident occurred when the car’s driver was running errands for Portable.

Reacting to the incident, Portable cleared the air that he wasn’t the one driving the car, as he was at his son’s home when the accident occurred.

Indigenous Nigerian rapper, Oladipupo Oladimeji, popularly known as Oladips, has fired back at Afrobeat singer, Wizkid, in a diss track for saying rap music is ‘dead and boring’.

The ‘Bad To Me’ crooner had in a recent interview with 10 magazine said he doesn’t listen to rap because the genre is ‘dead, boring and tired’. He rated Afrobeats over other music genres and declared it the new pop.

“I don’t listen to rap – that shit is boring to me. It’s dead now, it’s tired. These guys do the same shit, rap on the same beats and the same flows,” he said.

“No disrespect to nobody. I don’t have anything against rap or any other type of music. I have a lot of rappers as friends, like a lot. So, I’m probably the wrong person to say this.”

His statement, however, did not go down well with many lovers of rap music.

Oladips, who was also offended by the comment, has now released a diss track on Twitter to lampoon Wizkid.

He described the Grammy award winner as ‘Mr she tell me say’, mocking his choice of lyrics, and asked him to clean his ears so he can listen clearly.

He said in part,

Reacting to the claim via her Twitter handle, Teni, who revealed that she has lost 75 pounds so far, debunked the claims that she underwent surgery.

She slammed those who linked her weight loss to surgery and insisted that she didn’t undergo any procedures.

A couple who met each other during their compulsory National Youth Service are set to tie the knot.

The lovebirds, Aniebiet-Abasi Etim and Isaiah Okonko, who met at their Primary Place of Assignment (PPA) during the one-year youth service, will be walking down the aisle on Saturday, December 3, 2022.

The delighted bride-to-be shared their wedding invitation along with photos of herself and her partner on Facebook.

Friends and well-wishers have since trooped to the comment section of the post to congratulate the couple.

A while ago, two serving corps members in Kano have tied the knot months after the met during their orientation program in the state.

The couple Mohammed Alhaji Musa and Hauwa Yahaya Bagudu both met during the 2019 Batch ‘A’ Orientation Course, where they reportedly fell in love with each other.

The new couple met at NYSC Kano State Orientation Camp in Kusallah Dam Karaye during the 2019 Batch ‘A’ Orientation Course.

NYSC Kano State Coordinator, Malam Baba Ladan, who led other NYSC Staff and Corps Members to the wedding reception which took place at Nigeria Air Force Base in Kano, commended the new couple for maintaing their relationship which blossomed into marriage.

He also praised them for fulfilling one of the objectives of the NYSC Scheme which is to achieve national unity and integration.

The Coordinator used the ocassion to appeal to other Corps Members to build relationships that would bring good memories in the future.

The draw which was held at Gloworld on Aminu Kano Crescent was witnessed by the media, eminent Glo subscribers and Mrs. Mariam Imam, Assistant Chief Admin Officer, National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC).

Globacom disclosed that the lucky winner from the draw will receive the keys to the house prize at a presentation ceremony to be held on Friday, December 2, 2022.

He made this allegation in an unhinged tweet he put out on Friday morning, December 2. According to him, he caught the future Hall of Fame point guard with his ex-wife and mother of his four children.

Kanye posted a photo of Chris on his official Twitter handle and said he ‘caught’ him with Kim.

Chris Paul, who plays point guard for the Phoenix Suns in the NBA and has been pictured hanging out with Kanye West and Justin Bieber in the past, has been married to his wife, Jada Crawley, for eleven years.

Kanye’s tweet comes days after news broke out that th the former couple finalized their divorce and came to an agreement about child custody and property.

According to divorce documents obtained by TMZ, Kanye and Kim will have joint physical and legal custody of their four children, and neither will pay the other spousal support.

However, Kanye will be required to pay Kardashian $200,000 a month in child support. He will also be responsible for half of the children’s medical, educational, and security expenses.

He also relinquished the $4.5 million home he bought across from Kim’s house last year after Kim filed for divorce, saying he bought the house to be close to his children. Kim will be responsible for all expenses related to the 5-bedroom home.

The settlement also states that he gets to keep his $60 million Malibu home, two ranches in Wyoming, 300 acres in Calabasas, a home in Belgium, and his childhood home, which he bought in Chicago.

Lovers of music and 30BG fans gathered on Thursday night, December 1, to honor Nigerian superstar singer, Davido and pay tribute to his late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

Following Ifeanyi’s tragic demise, Davido, who has shunned social media since the incident, postponed all of his shows and the much-anticipated AWAY music festival until 2023. Even Davido’s 30th birthday went without any celebration.

However, to show their love and devotion for the 30BG boss, fans organized a concert for him.

The free-for-all event held in Lagos last night had music stars such as Bella Shmurda, Mayorkun, Peruzzi, Dremo, Zlatan Ibile, B-Red, and Bayanni in attendance.

Videos from the event that were shared online showed the crowd paying tribute to their favorite artist’s late son. The audience had their flashlights on while a photo of Davido, Chioma, and their son Ifeanyi was projected on a large screen.

A while ago, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has revealed that she is 43% Nigerian.

The former American actress made this known in the latest episode of her podcast, Archetypes, where she opened up about her genetic heritage and expressed a desire to know more about her roots.

Speaking with Senegalese-American actress and comedian Issa Rae, Nigerian-American comedian and writer Ziwe Fumudoh, and professor Emily Bernards, Meghnan said she took a genealogy test which revealed that she is 43% Nigerian.

“I just had my genealogy done a couple years ago. I’m 43% Nigerian, “she said.

Reacting to the revelation, Ziwe replied, “No way!”

A shocked Ziwe further asked, “Are you serious? This is huge. Igbo, Yoruba, do we know? “

This comes weeks after he acquired a brand new white Mercedes Benz GLE to replace the previous one that got wrecked in an auto crash.

Sabinus took to his social media page to share pictures of his new home. In one of the photos, he’s seen posing inside his customized swimming pool which had his name boldly inscribed on the floor.

In another photo, the excited home owner posed in the boot of his car parked in front of the mansion. However, it’s not clear if the house is in Lagos or his base in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

According to reports, the comedian was driving in Lagos when a drunk driver rammed into his car. Sabinus’ car, from the pictures taken at the scene was seriously damaged at the bonnet where it took the hit. The comedian however came out unhurt and is in a good condition.
