In the trending clip, the bride was astounded after she received a travel visa as a gift from her groom on their wedding day.

When she first opened the gift from her boyfriend, she gaped in disbelief. However, after a while, she leapt up and down with joy, pointing at him and stating that he had successfully surprised her as she never saw it coming.

Reality TV star, Cross Okonkwo, has berated Nigeria’s first lady, Aisha Buhari, over a social media post celebrating her daughter-in-law’s graduation from a UK university.

Aisha Buhari had taken to her Instagram page to celebrate her daughter-in-law, who graduated with first class honours in Architectural Science from Coventry University, United Kingdom.

The first lady posted a photo of herself, her son, Yusuf, and his wife, Zahra, and captioned it, “Congratulations to Mrs Zahra B. Buhari on your graduation with First Class Honors in Architectural Science. Wishing you all the best.”

Aisha’s post, however, didn’t sit well with a number of Nigerians who tagged it as insensitive.

Former Big Brother Naija season 6 housemate, Cross, also took to his Twitter handle to lampoon the wife of the president for the post.

He emphasized that she’s a mother to the citizens of Nigeria, and since public university students are currently out of school, celebrating her in-law’s graduation would feel like she’s rubbing it in the faces of Nigerian students affected by the prolonged strike.

“To me this is very insensitive ma. Your the mother of the nation and over 92% of ur children are not going to school atm and just because one of ur biological child finished from school. Which is kool and what not. But don’t come online and rub it in on your other children face.

Only son allegedly kills his parents in Nnewi (Video)

A 21-year-old man, identified simply as Chukwudi, is currently at large after allegedly killing his father and mother in Nnewi, Anambra state.

It was gathered that the suspect allegedly killed his parents after a heated argument over their refusal to give him money.

A source said the decomposing body of the couple, said to have been murdered by their only son, was discovered by neighbors, who broke into their apartment when they started perceiving an offensive smell from their apartment on Thursday evening, September 22, 2022.

The already decomposing corpses were found with machete cuts.

It’s suspected that Chukwudi killed his parents three days ago before fleeing to an unknown destination.

It was also claimed that Chukwudi, an undergraduate at a university within Anambra State, is a drug addict and is known for taking Mkpurummiri (Methamphetamine).

The Spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, who confirmed the incident on Friday September 23, said the command have launched a manhunt for the suspect who’s currently at large.

“The Commissioner of Police, CP Echeng Echeng described the discovery of the already decomposing dead bodies in an apartment in Nnewi on 22/9/2022 at about 5:20pm with machete cuts, as act of man’s inhumanity to man. He has ordered immediate manhunt of the suspect. He further directs immediate transfer of the case to State Criminal investigation department for discreet investigation.” Tochukwu said.

Meanwhile, the decomposing bodies have been recovered and deposited in the morgue.

Nigerian professional footballer, Wilfred Ndidi, has reacted after he was accused of feigning injury to leave the Nigeria national football team, Super Eagles.

Journalist Sulaiman Folarin had in a tweet alleged that the Leicester City FC star feigned injury to get out of the Super Eagles after the team’s coach, Jose Peseiro, informed him of the role he wanted him to play in the game against Algeria next Tuesday.

According to Folarin, sources confirmed that Jose Peseiro informed Ndidi that he’d be playing at center-back and not in the midfield in the game, a role Ndidi never wanted.

“Sources on Ndidi injury: Super Eagles manager Jose Peseiro wants to play Wilfred Ndidi at centerback against #Algeria. Ndidi is upset about this. He wants to play in the midfield. Next thing, Ndidi has an undisclosed injury, out of the squad and returns to #England.” Folarin ‘s tweet read.

It’s a season of jubilation for a Nigerian woman and her husband as they welcome a baby girl after 16 years of marriage.

A relative of the new mum, Mirian Promise took to Facebook to share the good news on Thursday night, September 22, while sharing photos of the new baby.

According to the Port Harcourt-based lady, her aunt gave birth to a baby girl after 16 years of waiting.

“Friends and family celebrate with me. “After 16 years of marriage, the Lord has answered my Aunt with a bouncing baby girl,” she wrote.

In other news, an Abuja-based woman has recounted how she had a growing baby in her womb for 32 weeks and had no idea.

The woman who recounted the experience on Twitter said she was wheeled into the hospital this time last year, thinking she had a severe liver problem, only to discover she was 32 weeks pregnant.

According to her, all along she showed no pregnancy symptoms and had no idea she was pregnant until she was told at the hospital that she was 32 weeks & 2 days pregnant.

She noted that she had no reason to suspect and when she was 5 months pregnant, she stumbled on a Twitter thread where women shared how they didn’t know they were pregnant until it had fully developed, and she thought it could never be her, not knowing she was pregnant already.

Recounting the experience, she wrote on Twitter,

“It was around this time, on this same day last year that I was wheeled into the hospital with my family thinking I had a severe liver problem, only to be told I was 32weeks & 2 days pregnant.

What’s worse? I stumbled on a thread of women telling similar stories like this around when I was 5 months & I said it could never be me. Little did I know it was Infact me. So all of you people quoting this should better check yourselves & be very much aware because ICIBY”.

Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has taken to social media to extol his parents, Chief Pete and Barr. Mrs. Edochie.

In a Facebook post on Friday afternoon, Yul, one of the children of veteran Nollywood star, Pete Edochie, showered praise on his parents and thanked them for their impact on his life.

He claimed that although as a youngster he was quite stubborn, his parents made sure he grew up to be a successful man.

Abuja Professor denies ordering assault of her female police orderly, shares her own side of the story (Video)

Professor Zainab Duke Abiola, who allegedly ordered her workers to beat her female police orderly, Inspector Teju Moses, has denied the allegation.

Reports made this rounds on Thursday morning that the professor ordered an assault on a female Nigerian police officer attached to her as an orderly after she refused to do some domestic chores assigned to her.

A video clip showing the female officer in uniform with a bloodied face went viral and sparked outrage online, with many calling for the professor to be brought to book.

Nigerian Police Force spokesperson, Prince Ademuyiwa Adejobi, later confirmed the arrest of the professor and said the case would be taken to court.

However, Professor Zainab, who is also a lawyer and human rights activist, in a statement released on her behalf by the Afro-European Lawyers League, denied ordering the assault of her female police orderly.

Zainab alleged that she rejected the police officer assigned to her after discovering she was among the perpetrators of violence against innocent Nigerian citizens during the ENDSARS imbroglio.

She said after the rejection, the police officer returned with a vengeful motive at night, banging on her gate with some dangerous weapons, including a gun, threatening to kill everybody in the compound.

It was further alleged that the police officer assaulted members of the professor’s household.

The statement read,

“Our attention has been drawn to a fallacious malicious defamatory publication against our respected Alumnus of the National Institute of Policy and Security Studies, NIPPS, Professor Zainab Duke Mni alleging assault on one of Her police Orderlies. We categorically state that this is NOT true and Nothing could be further from the truth. For the records our respected revered Professor Zainab has Never assaulted anybody anywhere at any time. It is not in her character.

“The facts are: 1. That on the 20th of April 2022 the IGP approved the revalidation and deployment of police Orderlies to our leader based on the fact that she is the Chief Legal Consultant to the Nigerian Police and has her office at the Force headquarters, Abuja.

“2. That the police consequently assigned a female police officer who was among the perpetrators of Violence against innocent Nigerian Citizens during the ENDSARS imbroglio.

“3. That consequent upon discovery of her Orderly’s involvement in police brutality against Nigerians that Professor Zainab rejected the posting of a brutal officer and returned the said Orderly back to Force Headquarters to her bosses and told her Bye bye on the 19th of September.

“4. That to our surprise around 10pm the former Orderly returned with a Vengeance banging on our gates with some dangerous weapons including a gun threatening to kill everybody in the compound and that the police Orderly beat up family members of the Professor’s household.

“5. That as can be seen in the video a crowd soon gathered and there was street brawling crowd fighting and loss of properties.

“6. That it is very strange that the IGP will forcefully, brutally and illegally violate the fundamental Rights and liberties of a distinguished law- abiding citizen and proceed to forcefully take her pictures and maliciously publish same in the print and electronic media in this nascent democratic dispensation.”

“We hereby call on President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately sack the Inspector General of Police and bring him to book to face the consequences of this gross violation of our constitution as Alkali Baba Usman is NOT a fit and proper person to hold the office of IGP.”

Tacha, who is currently in Dubai for the cosmetic procedure, took to TikTok to reveal what she has been going through post-op and how difficult it is to carry out her daily routine.

Nigerian businesswoman, Sophia Momodu, has reacted hilariously after she witnessed Nigerian superstar singer, Tiwa Savage, ordering diamonds for her puppy.

In a video Sophia shared on Snapchat, she was in a car with Tiwa when the “somebody’s son” crooner placed a call to her diamond dealer, asking that she wanted a diamond for her puppy.

Tiwa was heard telling the person on the other end that she wanted a diamond chain for her pet but not a choker.

“Can I get like a nice diamond, not choker”, she said.

Sophia, who was apparently taken aback by the request, laughed so hard as she jokingly expressed her desire to be a puppy to Tiwa Savage, so she could also enjoy the luxury.

Sophia told Tiwa Savage that she was being extra by ordering diamonds for a puppy, but the mother of one didn’t seem to agree with her.

In other news, Nigerian entertainer and activist, Charles Oputa popularly known as CharlyBoy, has taken a trip down memory lane as he reflects on his life over the years.

Nigerian man in the US arrested for killing his bestfriend of 30 years over unpaid debt

A 38-year-old abroad-based Nigerian man, Bolanle Fadairo, has been arrested by the police in Houston, Texas for allegedly killing his fellow Nigerian and friend of 30 years, Michael Essien, and leaving the victim’s two-year-old son, Micah, to die in a hot car.

An argument is said to have ensued between the Fadairo and the deceased over an unpaid debt.

Fadairo is accused of shooting Essien to death after an argument outside a strip center in the 5500 block of El Camino Del Rey and Chimney Rock on Tuesday, September 20. Investigators say Fadairo admitted that he had known Essien for about 30 years and even used the victim’s home address to receive mail.

“(Fadairo) stated the argument started from (Essien) owing him money,” court documents Read

According to the police, Essien and Fadairo had a meeting on the day of the incident during which there was a disagreement between the two men, which resulted in Fadairo killing Essien and fleeing the scene in Essien’s SUV while the deceased’s 2-year-old son was still strapped into a car seat.

The victim’s wife alerted authorities that her husband and son were missing about five hours later. She was able to offer details about her husband’s car, which helped the police locate it roughly a mile from the scene of the incident.

Charging documents said the car was locked, and the windows were rolled up as outdoor temperatures reached 93 degrees. The cause of the boy’s death has yet to be ascertained, but it is believed that he died from heat exhaustion.

A young lady has taken to social media to cry out that she and other virgins are being marginalized because of their resolve to keep their chastity.

The lady, identified as @Peacelois, in a now viral video, disclosed that she is a virgin, and she decided to go public with her status after realizing that virgins are marginalized in society.

According to her, virginity used to be the standard, and it is disheartening that it is no longer being appreciated by society, and men no longer want to marry virgins.

She said virgins should be honored and revered for keeping themselves pure for their husbands.

She went on to tell men that virgins still exist and that they should also look in their direction when searching for a wife.

Award-winning Nigerian Singer, Tems has reminisced on the life she once had before she became popular.

One would not imagine that the delectable songwriter/singer used to find life financially difficult but she has now admitted that she used to really struggle to provide for her family.

Tems opened up during an interview with GQ, as she revealed that she didn’t become successful overnight. She stated that year before she released her hit song “Mr Rebel”, she was living alone and struggling financially.

“I couldn’t take care of anybody.

“There were times when I was not just broke – I was broke and hopeless. I used to steal food. I used to go to my aunty’s house just so she could give me food to take home.

Nigerian entertainer and activist, Charles Oputa popularly known as CharlyBoy, has taken a trip down memory lane as he reflects on his life over the years.

In a video he shared online, the 72-year-old musician recounted how he impregnated different women when he was younger and ended up with 10 children and 16 grandchildren. He said some of them were not even accounted for.

Speaking further, he reflected on the times he got married to different women and divorced them out of youthful exuberance until he met his wife to whom he has been married to for 45 years. He said now they stare at each other and don’t know what to do with themselves.

Eloswag, together with Chomzy and Doyin, who were privileged to spend an extra week in the Big Brother house after their eviction as a result of the level three twist, finally made their way out of the house last Sunday.

Delta state governor’s aide, Ossai Ovie Success, has lampooned skit maker, Ashmusy, after she announced that she’s keeping her chastity until marriage.

The internet personality, who’s currently vacationing in Ghana, had taken to her Instagram page to share photos of herself in a bikini when she revealed that she made a promise to herself to keep her virginity till marriage.

Ashmusy then expressed hope that her future husband would be worth the wait.

Well, reacting, Ossai Ovie has, in a lengthy Facebook post, berated the content creator for announcing that she’s a virgin on social media.

A transgender school teacher in Ontario, Canada is trending on social media following parents’ complaints that her huge fake breasts are a distraction and making their wards skip her classes.

Kayla Lemieux, a manufacturing technology teacher at Oakville Trafalgar High School in Ontario, Canada, went viral and sparked controversy after photos of her wearing the synthetic boobs to class were shared online.

The photos and videos are presumed to have been taken and shared on social media by her students without her knowledge.

Lemieux’s clothing appeared to have been stretched out by the prosthetic breasts in the pictures, and the nipples bulged out heavily.

Some of Lemieux students are said to have skipped the Manufacturing Technology class due to becoming distracted.

However, reacting to the outrage and parent’s complain in a statement on Monday, the school defended their employee and explained why they chose support Lemieux’s gender expression.

According to the school, interfering or criticizing the trans teacher would go against the Ontario Human Rights Code.

“We are aware of discussion on social media and in the media regarding Oakville Trafalgar High School. We would like to take this opportunity to reiterate to our community that we are committed to establishing and maintaining a safe, caring, inclusive, equitable and welcoming learning and working environment for all students and staff.

“We strive to promote a positive learning environment in schools consistent with the values of the HDSB and to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students, staff and the community, regardless of race, age, ability, sex, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, cultural observance, socioeconomic circumstances or body type/size.” The statement read.

Speaking to the Toronto Sun, a student at the school, Owen LaPlante, confirmed that some of her colleagues find the teachers’ breasts uncomfortable.

“I’m okay with it. I know some of my friends are a little uncomfortable with it, but I think she should be able to express herself however she wants to.” Owen said.

An American woman, identified as Shamika Moore, has threatened to send her Nigerian husband back to Nigeria after she caught him with another woman at a hotel.

Moore took to her TikTok page to share videos showing the moment she accosted her husband and his secret lover at the hotel.

In the videos, Moore is seen confronting the husband and his side chick as they were about to leave the hotel.

She explained that she and her husband had planned to hang out that day, but he canceled their plan and gave the excuse of going out to get money to pay their house rent.

“He told me he was going out to pay the house rent while I was at work. I returned from work and he wasn’t still home yet. So I decided to go do some deliveries, went to my mother’s house and my husband wasn’t still home. I started blowing up his phone and he wasn’t answering.” She said.

The enraged wife added that after waiting for her husband and he didn’t return home, after he told her he was on his way, she decided to track his phone and discovered that he was at a hotel.

“I decided to track his location using the FindMy IPhone feature and found out he was at hotel not too far from our house. I found him there and confronted him with his sidechic.” She added.

The side chick, on her part, sat comfortably in the front seat the entire time, unbothered, even making snide remarks as the wife vented her rage on her husband.

When the wife, out of anger, said that her husband shouldn’t return to her house, the other lady replied in the affirmative.

The angry wife then said, “Guess what. You are heading to Nigeria!”

In a subsequent post on her page, the wife explained that she met her husband when he had nothing and that she didn’t marry him for business.

“For people who are like “Did you marry him for business?” I didn’t. My husband didn’t have anything to offer me. I loved him based on how he treated me.
