Popular Nollywood actor, Yemi Solade, and his wife, Hannah, are celebrating their 18th wedding anniversary today, September 21.
The thespian took to his Instagram page to share adorable photos of himself and his wife, accompanied by beautiful words of endearment.

Popular Nollywood actor, James Ikechukwu Esomugha, better known as Jim Iyke, has been conferred with a chieftaincy title in Ghana.
The Nigerian movie star was conferred with the title of “Ohadike 1 of Ndigbo” by Her Royal Highness, the Eze of Ndigbo Ghana, Dr. Chukwudi Ihenetu.
The coronation took place on Sunday, September 18, in Ghana on the occasion of the tenth Yam Festival.
According to Ihenetu, Jim Iyke was recognized for his tremendous achievements and contributions to the African entertainment industry and the Igbo people.

A while ago, Jim Iyke revealed why he doesn’t follow anyone on popular photo and video sharing app, Instagram.
The thespian who has over two million followers on the platform noted that he doesn’t follow any Instagram accounts because he sees social media as a marketplace.
According to Jim Iyke, Instagram is a ‘pseudo’ reality and people should treat it as such.
He made this revelation in an interview “Tea with Tay” podcast host Temisan Emmanuel, which was released on Friday, January 28.
Speaking with Temisan, he said,
“From day one I got on social media, I didn’t want to follow anybody. I wanted to establish the fact that this is a market place. It’s a pseudo reality there. It’s not what people want to take as their everyday life.
If you see any of my posts, it’s tailored. I don’t post about my family. I don’t post my pleasures. There are certain things I think should be left for one to experience alone.
There are three tiers of life that I live. I live the private life, the public life, and the secret life. Social media is public life. US-based Nigerian dancer, Korra Obidi, has taken a swipe at her ex-husband after their daughter, June, was turned away from school due to a head injury.
From Korra’s narration in a video she shared on social media lamenting the situation, it was gathered that June had visited her father with her sister Athena when she sustained the injury.
Korra accused her estranged husband, Justin Dean, of using their daughter for a bonnet advert, which caused her to sustain a “serious” injury to her head.
Korra, who blamed her husband for neglecting their daughter in her absence, said she had to get a doctor’s report before June was allowed to return to school.
The mother of two said if tables were reversed and June had sustained a head injury in her care, her estranged husband would have made a convincing case that she was careless with the kids
“We were turned away from school because June had a head injury. God knows if it was under my care that this girl had a head injury it will just cement all their naked mother neglecting her children claim. Nigerian filmmaker and actor, Martini Animashaun has opined that the institution of marriage is strictly for business purposes.
Taking to Twitter to share his opinion, Animashaun said both men and women go into a marriage with an agenda in mind. For women, they desire financial security while men desire submission.
According to him, although some people get married for love, a large percentage get married for selfish reasons and that unless we are deceiving ourselves, we would all agree that marriage is mainly transactional.

Popular gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo, recently took to her Instagram page to share a sermon from her wedding thanksgiving service.

The self-acclaimed Princess of Africa claimed that he had recently purchased an iPhone 13 for his father, who wouldn’t stop thanking him for the phone.

A 29-year-old Zambian police officer, identified as Albert Kamasumba, reportedly shot his estranged wife, Deborah Kasakula, dead before taking his own life.
It was gathered that Kamasumba killed his ex-wife, Deborah, in her parents’ house on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, after he learnt that she was moving on and getting married to someone else.
Local media reports that Deborah and Kamasumba have been separated for some months and she had gone back to her parents in Ndola’s Kawama Township.
However, when the officer found out she planned to wed another man in Kitwe, he went on the rampage and shot her and another family member, said to be her sister, before killing himself.
“It is alleged that after knocking off from work today, the officer went to his wife’s house in Kawama and shoot her and her sister then later her ran to Pamodzi Community Police Post where he shot himself outside,” one officer told the media.
Kamasumba was transferred from Kawama Police Post where he used to be stationed, came from an operation and went straight to Kawama Township where he shot Deborah.
After killing her, he headed for Pamodzi Community Police Post where he had a brief chat with the unsuspecting officers.
Then he handed an officer his phone and requested him to deliver it to someone who would come looking for him.
He then went outside without his fellow officers suspecting anything and the next thing they head was a gunshot.
When officers rushed outside they found him laying in a pool of blood near a water tap.
The spokesperson for Ndola Teaching Hospital, Sheona Kamwendo, confirmed that the facility received two deceased corpses, a male and a female, identified as Albert Kamasumba and Deborah Kasakula.
The couple left behind a year old and a one-month old child.

The Nigerian woman who died in a fatal car accident while chasing her husband and an alleged side chick has been identified as a lawyer and mother of three, Claret Opara Bassey.
It was earlier reported that the woman lost her life in a car crash in Calabar, Cross River State, while allegedly chasing her husband, whom she saw with another lady at a shopping mall.
The Nation reports that the deceased, Claret Opara Bassey, and her husband, Mr. Sunday Bassey, had been married for over 10 years, with three kids.
The deceased was said to have received a call from one of her friends that her husband was sighted in a shopping mall with the alleged side chic.
She was said to have immediately driven to the mall in one of their cars.
On reaching there, she saw her husband about to leave the premises of the shopping mall, and inside his car was the alleged side chic identified as Laticia.
Upon sighting his wife, the husband hurriedly drove off with Laticia on the front seat, making the enraged wife go after them.
The husband reportedly veered off from the highway to adjoining streets of the state housing estate, forcing the wife to make a U-turn.
In a bid to outrun her husband, Mrs. Bassey lost control of the speeding vehicle, veered off the road and slammed the car into a tree, killing herself.
Eyewitnesses said that immediately the husband saw from the back mirror that his wife was involved in an accident, he made a U-turn.
The alleged side chick is said to have dropped off and fled the scene while the husband rallied to rescue his wife.
The husband reportedly broke down in tears and apologized to his wife, who was in the pool of her blood.
“He was apologetic before the dying wife and pleaded that she should not die. He rushed the wife to Navy hospital in Calabar where she was reportedly confirmed dead”. An eyewitness told The Nation.
Friends of the couple said they started dating during their university days.

The National Industrial Court of Nigeria has ordered the Academic Staff Union of Universities to call off its over seven-month old strike.
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has been on strike since February 14, 2022 to press home the demands for improved funding for universities and a review of salaries for lecturers, among other issues.
After several meetings between ASUU and the federal government to reach a consensus ended in a deadlock, the Federal Government referred the prolonged strike by ASUU to the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN) for adjudication.
A press statement signed by the Head, Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, Olajide Oshundun, said the suit, dated September 8, 2022, was formally addressed to the Registrar of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN) and signed by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige.
The federal government’s counsel, James Igwe, had applied for an interlocutory injunction to restrain ASUU from continuing with the strike.
In his ruling in Abuja on Wednesday, Justice Polycarp Hamman granted the government’s application.
The judge held that the industrial action is detrimental to public university students who cannot afford to attend private tertiary institutions.
The court therefore restrained “ASUU, whether by themselves, members, agents, privies or howsoever called, from taking further steps and doing any act in continuance of the strike action pending the hearing and determination of the suit filed.”

A pretty Nigerian lady has taken to social media to brag about receiving a car as an apology gift from her boyfriend, whom she claims assaulted her.
The young lady in a video making the rounds online alleged that her man battered her, and afterwards he bought her a car to apologize.
She claimed that her boyfriend, who was remorseful after the incident, bought her a car to beg for her forgiveness, and she agreed.
In the video, the couple could be seen touring the town in a car while holding hands, although it’s not clear if the vehicle they were in was the one she claimed she received from him.

Big Brother Naija season 7 housemate, Chinenyenwa Desire Okoebor, popularly known as Chichi, appears to be having a tough time coordinating the house since she emerged as the Head of House.
The 22-year-old exotic dancer emerged as this week’s Head of House after she won the Head of House game on Monday and clinched a spot for herself in the grand finale.
Last night, after the argument with Bella during the wager task meeting, Chichi broke down in tears as she complained to her friend, Phyna, about the housemates’ constant questioning of her orders since she emerged as the HOH.
Recall that, on Tuesday night, the housemates met to discuss their weekly task wager, and while Chichi was addressing the house, Bella interrupted her and, at a point, burst into laughter.
Chichi, who wasn’t pleased with Bella’s actions, asked that no one interrupt her. Bella, in response, flared up and stated that Chichi’s approach was wrong and she wouldn’t tolerate any disrespect.
After the drama, Chichi, while speaking to Phyna, sobbed profusely as she questioned why she was the HOH if she could not put the house in order.
“When I address them they will be laughing, what’s funny?, each time I want to talk they will attack me. Am I not allowed to address anything? Why am I the HOH?” She said, amid sobs.
There was a mild drama at the Big Brother Naija level-up house last night as an argument ensued between housemate Bella and the current Head of House, Chichi, during a wager task meeting.

Chichi got quite emotional as she walked out of the lounge while she tearfully accused Bella of sabotaging her effort to make her reign as the Head of House a success, especially with this week’s task wager.
After Chichi left the lounge, Bella went on a rant about how Chichi’s approach to fellow housemates since she emerged as Head of House has been impolite.
She further stated that Chichi is unintelligent and has no clue about the wager task.
Bella’s statement was not well received by viewers of the reality show, and they trooped to the micro-blogging platform to drag her to filth.
It would be recalled that Bella had a similar argument with Phyna during her reign as the Head of House last week.

Evicted Big brother housemate, Doyinsola David, could not hold back tears this morning after receiving a money tower from her best friend who was disqualified from the show, Beauty Tukura.
Doyin was surprised with a money cake while preparing for her media rounds today. She burst into tears while reading the note attached to the surprise.
She was known for supporting and defending her friend, Beauty all through her stay in the big brother house after Beauty was disqualified.
Doyin was tagged a hypocrite by viewers because her friendship with Beauty was short-lived and the level of loyalty she had for her was impossible to achieve in that short period. Housemates and viewers also believed the friendship to be one-sided because the support she exhibited was above normal.
Beauty proved to the naysayers that their friendship was not one-sided and she appreciated everything that Doyin has said and done to keep her reputation intact.
Beauty said “It’s about to be lit” and fans of both parties are looking forward to the promise of this beautiful sismance.
Self-styled relationship expert, Blessing Okoro, has given a reason for her singlehood as she reacts to gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo, and her husband, Pastor Blessed’s wedding thanksgiving sermon.
Popular gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo, recently took to her Instagram page to share a sermon from her wedding thanksgiving service.
In the sermon, the clergyman noted that many are carried away by the illusion of love and fail to realize that love is enough to sustain a marriage.
Reacting, Blessing reposted the video on her page and noted that the points raised by the preacher in the sermon are also the reasons she’s still unmarried.
She agreed with the pastor that many have illusions about love, and that’s why the majority of relationships and marriages today do not work.
According to her, until she finds a man who shares the same school of thought about her love and marriage, she will remain single.

A lovely Nigerian couple, Tunde and Foluso Leye, who met on Twitter, celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary recently.
Tunde had taken to Twitter sometime in April of 2013, to tweet about having bad network and Foluso, a fashion designer, at the time replied the tweet saying she was experiencing same thing.
The issue of bad network was what got them talking and after three weeks of chatting everyday, they finally met on May 12, 2013, at Ikeja, Lagos and the rest as they say, is history.
The couple are now blessed with two children, a boy and a girl. Tunde tweeted, “8 years with this fine girl I met on Twitter”
Popular Nigerian comedian, Bovi, and his wife, Kris Asimonye Ugboma, are celebrating their 13th wedding anniversary today, September 19.
The couple tied the knot in 2007, and their union has been blessed with three wonderful children; Elena, Chuchu, and David.
To mark their 13th anniversary, the stand-up comedian and actor shared a lovely video of himself hyping up his woman. In the video, he called his wife different endearing names and extolled her ageless beauty, even after three children.
He also noted that Kris has successfully tamed him.

In another episode of what I ordered versus what I got, a man has taken to his Twitter page to share his experience with an online vendor.
He said he ordered brownie from a cake vendor because the brownie in the reference photo looked yummy and delicious, with multiple toppings.
He however received a huge shock when he took delivery of the brownie from the vendor, and it was a far cry from what he expected.
He posted the photos and wrote, “What i ordered & what i received”. He also tagged the vendor who has now locked her Twitter account after being dragged online.

Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, has shared an adorable video of her son, Munir, begging her for forgiveness after he destroyed a toy she recently got for him.
The mother of two had recently bought her son, Munir, a mini tennis racket because he loved playing with it. However, only a day after she handed it to me, she got home last night to see it had been damaged.
Seeing this, Regina asked her son, Munir, to apologize by saying, “I’m sorry, Mama. Please forgive me, Mama,” while kneeling with his hands folded.
Munir complied with this, but his demeanor and how he repeated what his mother asked him to say, made everyone in the room burst into laughter.
As everyone laughed, Regina Daniels asked her son to hug her, and he did so while also mumbling, “Forgive me, Mama, I’ll not do it again.”
Another bout of amusement ensued as the young child eventually muddled the words and said, “I forgive you, mama.”
Sharing the lovely video on her Instagram page, Regina captioned it,
“This moon is just a big case. He loves playing with tennis rackets so I bought him a mini one on my way from work yesterday, I just returned home today and it’s damaged. I don’t even know what to do with him @princemunirnwoko“.
A Nigerian lady has accused her husband of threatening to kill her following years of abuse and she released proof to back her claims.
The mother of three on her Facebook page, shared a screenshot of the message she claims was sent to her by her estranged husband, one Mr Tony Oluwatoyin Mike Uche.
In the message, Tony allegedly told her that the next time he sees her, they will see who will die first. He also told her that the battle line has been drawn and asked her to prepare both physically and spiritually.
The lady, who is a chef, explained that the recent threat came following years of abuse. According to her, all through the seven years they were married, he abused her a lot of times and she had to “flee” to her parents’ house often to recover from the injuries she sustained.
On one such violent episode, she lost a pregnancy of 8 months. She revealed that the police station has several records of him signing undertakings not to harm her again.
She also added that he also destroyed her business equipment during their marriage. According to her, she is now estranged from him and has instructed her lawyer to begin a divorce process but he recently accosted her when she was returning home and attacked her before pulling out a knife.
She explained that it took a security guard to pull him from her otherwise she fears what the outcome would have been.
