A Nigerian lady has recounted how her mother allegedly covered up the rape and abuses she suffered from her 32-year-old older blood brother.
The lady who showed her scars in the video she shared, revealed that while her brother assaulted and raped her, her mother felt he was only instilling discipline in her.
The lady also revealed that when reported to her mother about the rape, her mother covered it up and did nothing because she felt it would bring shame to the family.
She went on to add that she needs help.
She wrote in her video,

Amidst the cheating confession and saga that recently took place on Twitter NG, a lot of takes and opinions have been flying around and it is not looking good for women in relationships.
The drama started when a young man with the handle @lamid3_ shared a screenshot of their partner admitting to cheating on them.
Lamide did this to join the trend where netizens ‘dump’ photos or memorable moments recorded in the month of September. It was quite obvious that Lamide’s September wasn’t a good one (emotionally).
His partner admitted to doing everything but s@x with her infidelity partner but this was not any form of consolation and it sparked a lot of reactions from people.

Nollywood actress, Chacha Eke-Faani recently took to her Instagram page to talk about her mental health.
In her update, Chacha also hinted at losing a baby 18 years ago. According to her, a lot of people mock her as a “crazy lady” but her mental health crisis is because of all the pains she’s been through.
“Most of us ladies were broken on the inside and that’s how the crazy got in and got stuck” she says in her update.

Chacha also disclosed that her mother and grandmother were crazy and she fears her daughters will be.
The actress who has three daughters said,
“I didn’t ask for this life, I was born with this. I got it from my mama. My mama was a crazy woman, she told me her mama too was crazy. She talked crazy and treated people crazy.
“Right now, here I am being a crazy little miss. My daughter will probably grow up and be a crazy little lady. But it won’t even matter because we’re all crazy.”
The actress’ mental health issues were made public in 2020 after she accused her husband of domestic violence and announced she was leaving him. Later, she made a U-turn and claimed she was dealing with bipolar disorder.
Earlier this year however, she made a comeback to social media and revealed she’s leaving her husband. She also hinted at abuse while announcing the end of her marriage.
Since then, she’s been speaking about her mental health struggles and how she sometimes gets destructive.
Nigerian singer, Kizz Daniel has splashed millions in acquiring a new house which overlooks the ocean.
The singer popular referred to as “Vado” took to his social media page to share a video of the new house and thanked his fans for it.
He wrote,

American novelist, philanthropist and former spouse of billionaire, Jeff Bezos, MacKenzie Scott and her husband, Dan Jewett, a former science teacher, are calling their union quits less than two years after they got married.
Scott got married to Seattle-based science teacher, Dan Jewett last year after divorcing Amazon founder and billionaire, Jeff Bezos in 2019.
Scott’s marriage to Jewett, who was once a teacher at her children’s school, has now ended.
Ms. Scott filed a petition for divorce in the King County Superior Court in Washington State on Monday, September 26, 2022, according to a copy of the filing.
In 2021, McKenzie Scott and Dan Jewett announced their marriage through a message on their webpage for the Giving Pledge, a philanthropic organization which encourages the world’s richest people to give away a majority of their wealth to charitable causes.
Scott has given away billions of dollars as part of a plan to donate a majority of her fortune.
“I am married to one of the most generous and kind people I know — and joining her in a commitment to pass on an enormous financial wealth to serve others,” Jewett wrote in his message on Giving Pledge in 2021. “I look forward to the growth and learning I have ahead as a part of this undertaking with MacKenzie.”
But Jewett’s message seemed to have disappeared from the Giving Pledge site and his name was recently edited out of a Medium post Ms. Scott had written last year about their gifts, The Times reported Wednesday, September 28.

US-based Nigerian exotic dancer, Korra Obidi has disclosed that she lost a baby before welcoming her second child.
The dancer birthed her second daughter, Athena, earlier in March this year and also has an older daughter named June.
Korra took to her Instagram Stories Wednesday evening to share a photo of her holding a pregnancy test which showed she was pregnant.
In the caption, she wrote, “Athena Dean, you had a big sis/bro.”

A Nigerian man has expressed surprise after seeing the full pot of soup his girlfriend prepared with just N2,500.
The young man in a viral video revealed that he gave his woman N2,500 and, despite the rising cost of foodstuffs in the market, she was able to make a full pot of soup and fish.
On entering the kitchen and seeing the “magic” his resourceful girlfriend performed with less than N3,000, he expressed shock and asked how she was able to pull that off.
According to him, he had given her the money to make a simple meal, only to enter the kitchen to find a full pot of delicious looking fish soup.
The soup had different types of fish, like Titus, panla, and others. He couldn’t hide his shock and repeatedly asked if she had added her own money to prepare the delicacy.
“I gave this girl 2,500 to make stew for me but getting to the kitchen I can see different types of fishes like Titus here. Na stew I dey expect oh. Where did she see money to cook this big pot of soup?” He said.

Popular Nigerian business magnate, Laolu Martins, has committed suicide after an alleged long battle with depression.
Martins, an investment banking expert who was also the co-founder and executive director of popular restaurant chain, Bukka Hut, is said to have ended it all in his home in the early hours of Tuesday, September 27.
It was gathered that Martins, despite his career success, had been battling depression for a while now before he ultimately took his own life at around 3 am on Tuesday. TheWill reports.
The deceased was a chartered stockbroker and a chartered accountant with 12 years of experience in investment banking, corporate banking, stockbroking, asset management, and pension fund management.
He joined Investment Banking & Trust Company Plc, now Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc, where he served in the Financial Control and Trade Finance/Foreign Operations units of the Bank before being seconded to Stanbic IBTC Asset Management Ltd, where at various times he was Financial Controller, Head Asset Management, and lastly, Head Stockbroking.
Until his death, he was the CEO of Nigeria International Security Limited (NISL), an independent financial services firm specializing in investments in Nigeria.
In related new, a Nigerian lady, Olaitan Adonis, committed suicide after her boyfriend, identified as Ola Saheed, reportedly used her funds to marry another woman.
Olaitan, who had a seven-year-old son, was in a serious relationship with the young man and was saving money in his bank account. He however used the money to marry someone else over the weekend.

In a rather dramatic event, some traditional worshipers stormed a police station in the Epe area of Lagos state to demand the release of their drummer who was in police custody.
A video clip making the rounds online shows the moment the traditional worshippers who were clad in all-white attire invaded the police station with long canes.
It was gathered that the drummer was arrested by some officers attached to the station for an undisclosed reason on Tuesday, September 20.
To secure his release, his colleagues led by a priestess, identified as Ajefunke, stormed the premises of the police station.
According to a source, the traditional worshippers effected the immediate release of their drummer, as well as that of other suspects held at the police station.
A Nigerian man has revealed why he can never trust a woman after his painstaking experience with three of his ex-girlfriends.
The Twitter user, identified as @Bigstiff1994, took to the platform to state this while narrating how his close friend slept with his three ex-girlfriends without any stress or coercion.
He shared screenshots of his conversation with his close friend who recounted how he bedded three of his ex-lovers without spending a dime on them.
In the chat, the friend said he slept with the first ex because he heard her moaning loudly while having sex with him “@bigstiff’ so he decided to make it a mission to also have a taste of her body.

The driver of an Acura Sport Utility Vehicle, or SUV, is lucky to be alive after a tree fell on the vehicle while in transit in Calabar, Cross River state.
The incident happened along the Murtala Mohammed Highway on Wednesday morning, September 28, 2022.
According to eyewitnesses, the driver managed to escape with no injury, but the car was badly damaged.

In related news, a while ago, popular gospel singer, Dunsin Oyekan miraculously survived a fatal car accident along the Lagos/Ibadan expressway.
The ‘Fragrance to Fire’ singer was on his way to minister at a church in Ibadan when his vehicle – a Toyota Prado Jeep – collided with a tailer truck in the Ishara area.
Fortunately, all occupants of the vehicle survived the tragic accident. Photos from the accident scene has been shared online and the vehicle was mangled and badly damaged.

Meanwhile, a lady has narrated the miraculous story of how God healed her broken bones after being involved in a fatal accident.
Taking to Twitter, @natachyy said the accident occurred when she was in secondary school and she was bedridden for weeks due to the injuries she sustained.
She said one day, she overheard the doctor saying she might never be able to walk again or give birth naturally because of her fractured pelvis.
The young lady said she was shattered inside and wept profusely, and prayed a simple and short prayer to God for healing.
According to her, within minutes, she felt the sudden urge to use the toilet and took the courage to stand up on her feet but fell back on the bed.
She said she then heard the sound of her bones cackling and rearranging themselves before she fell into a deep sleep. When she woke up, she was fine and could walk again.
According to the Actress who has been married for 10 years, being married comes with responsibilities and headaches because it is never going to be rosy all the time. She however added that the couple just have to remind themselves daily that they are in love and are in the marriage together.

Popular Nigerian rapper, Falz has reacted to reports that operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement agency (NDLEA) has destroyed cocaine worth N194bn seized from a warehouse in the Ikorodu area of Lagos.
It was earlier reported that the warehouse located in a secluded estate in Ikorodu was busted on Sunday, Sept 18, and the drug barons were arrested in their hideouts.
Hard drugs worth more than Two Hundred and Seventy-Eight Million, Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($278, 250,000), equivalent to about One Hundred and Ninety-Five Billion, Seven Hundred and Seventy-Five Million (N194, 775,000,000) Naira in street value were confiscated by the anti-drug agency.
In a new development, NDLEA has released a video showing the moment they destroyed the hard substance with fire barely two weeks after they were seized.
Reacting to the news, Falz, a lawyer and activist, took to Twitter to tackle NDLEA for burning the evidence of an ongoing case when the suspects have not been tried in court

Popular Nigerian singer, Chop Boii, and three of his friends have reportedly been gruesomely murdered by unknown assailants in his home in Gwarimpa, Abuja.
According to a Twitter user, @HrhWheelz, who shared the news on the micro-blogging platform, their fingers were cut off by the assailants, who also used their blood to write on the wall.
The Twitter user said the tragic incident happened on Tuesday night, September 27. He claimed that Chop Boii was working on a new song with his producer friend and two others when they were attacked.

A Nigerian couple has welcomed a set of twins, a boy and a girl, after thirty years of marriage.
The couple, who had been married for three decades and had been trusting God for the fruit of the womb, have been blessed with twin babies.
In a heartwarming video that was shared on TikTok, the jubilant couple were seen carrying their babies as friends and well-wishers gathered to celebrate with them.
The video was shared on TikTok with the caption, “After 30 years of waiting, God heard our cry and blessed us with a set of twins. A boy and a girl.”
Reacting to the now viral clip, well-wishers have swarmed to the comments to congratulate the couple and celebrate the goodness of God in their lives.

The management of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) has dissociated itself from arrested kidnap kingpin, John Ewa, otherwise known as John Lyon.
The Registrar of the institution, Mr. Gabriel Egbe, in a statement released on Wednesday, September 28, asserted that John Ewa, arrested for kidnappings in Bayelsa State, was never a student of the university, nor did he graduate from UNIICAL.
This comes after multiple reports alleged that the suspect is a graduate of the University of Calabar. John Lyon’s Facebook bio also reads “Studied at the University of Calabar”.
Reacting to this claim, Egbe tagged it as fallacious.
The school management in the statement urged members of the public to “discountenance any information linking Ewa to their prestigious university.”
“The Management of the University of Calabar has described as fallacious, a news item making the rounds and linking their prestigious ivory tower to the recently arrested kidnapper, John Ewa”, a statement released by the register read in part.
Meanwhile, apprehended kidnap kingpin, John Ikechukwu Ewa, aka ‘John Lion’ who was paraded by the Bayelsa state police command on Monday, September 26, has given details of his involvement in the crime.
Ewa was over the weekend arrested by operatives of Operation Puff Adder in Abuja and was transferred to Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, where he was paraded.
Parading the suspect and his accomplices before newsmen on Monday September 26, the state Commissioner of Police, stated that on December 8, one Akeeb Oladele Olushola ‘m’ 48, a Manager of a new generation Bank, was kidnaped at his residence at Old Commissioners Quarters Opolo. He was released on the 12th December after paying a ransom of Eighty (N80) Million Naira.
He said similarly, Danjuma Omeje, 41, a Manager of a new generation Bank in Yenagoa was kidnaped at his residence at Okaka, Yenagoa, on 30th June 2022. He was later released on 14th July 2022 after paying a ransom of 60 million naira – thirty (N30) Million Naira cash and US Dollar equivalent of thirty (N30) Million Naira.
Ewa, who runs Lion Interior Hub as cover for his criminal activities and is known for his lavish lifestyle and heavy spending at nightclubs in Yenagoa, was paraded alongside three other members of his gang, Emmanuel Charles Angase, a 37years native of Azuzuma Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Innocent Kingsley, 31 years, a native of Egbu Community Etche LGA, Rivers State, and one Timi Werikumo a 21-years old native of Azuzuama Community Southern Ijaw LGA, Bayelsa State. Other members of the gang are at large.
