The WhatsApp message a Nigerian lecturer left in the group chat of his project students notifying them of his resignation has caused a buzz on social media.
The lecturer, identified as Dr. Oyedele, informed his students that he won’t be available to review their project when ASUU calls off strike because he has resigned from the university.
He further disclosed that he has relocated out of the country in search of greener of greener pastures, and bade them farewell.
This comes on the heels of the lingering ASUU strike that began in February 2022 and doesn’t seem to have an end in sight.
While countless meetings have been held between the union and representatives of the Federal Government, they are yet to reach a mutual agreement.
Taking to the popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter, the lady identified as @slyfoxine revealed the lewd comment the desk officer in her Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) made about her body.
According to her, the desk officer told her at work that he liked her breasts.

One of the women, identified as @laetiky on Twitter, took to the platform to share photos of them flaunting their hairy bodies with confidence and pride.

A postgraduate student has reportedly lost an opportunity to pursue a doctoral degree abroad for plagiarism.
It was gathered that the victim had gained a scholarship to pursue his PhD degree at the University of Marquette in the United States of America.
However, the university management detected that the essay he submitted with his scholarship application was plagiarised.
As a result, he was withdrawn from the institution.
A Twitter user who shared a snapshot of the letter the student received from the school revoking his admission wrote,
“Dear scholarship hopefuls, do not plagiarise your essay or writing sample. It is a big crime and has no place in academia. This person submitted a plagiarised writing sample, and his PhD admission was revoked!”
The news stirred varied reactions from social media users. While some netizens blamed the student for plagiarizing, others blamed evil forces working against him.

Big Brother Naija season 7 housemate, Doyin has revealed the disturbing incident she witnessed in the house recently.
She opened up about the incident to her colleague, Allyson, while they were having a chat on Friday afternoon.
According to her, she noticed that Sheggz was very angry in the locker room and suddenly took out his slippers and threw it at a wall.
Doyin said she was very surprised and walked up to him to ask if he was fine, and he said he was angry at everything in general, especially with the clown outfit he was ordered to wear through out the week as punishment for being the tail of house.

A 48-year-old clergyman, Pastor Michael Abiodun, has been arrested by operatives of the Ogun state Police Command for allegedly raping and impregnating the 12-year-old daughter of his church member.
The victim’s mother joined the church to seek spiritual covering after two of her daughters died mysteriously. To prevent the victim from suffering the same fate, she ran to the church for deliverance.
One fateful day, the pastor asked the woman to send her daughter to him for a special prayer session, but when she got there, he took her into a room within the church premises and forcefully had sex with her which resulted in pregnancy.
He also threatened her with dire consequences if she reported him to anyone, including her mother.
Following his arrest and interrogation, the pastor who is a father of three confessed to the crime and claimed he was pushed by the devil to sleep with the minor. He also confessed to being the one who deflowered her.
The victim’s mother explained to the police that she didn’t know her daughter had taken in until she was seven months pregnant.
The minor, who is a JS2 student, has welcomed the child three months ago.

Timaya’s manager Prince Oluzor has passed away from gunshot wounds after he was shot outside a gas station in Atlanta.
38-year-old Prince Oluzor reportedly made a stop at the BP along 14th Street NW at Atlantic Drive near Georgia Tech around 9 p.m. on Wednesday evening, August 31.
He was waiting in line in the store for about a couple of minutes when he noticed some individuals trying to get into his car, so he ran outside to go after them.
As he approached, one of the suspects opened fire, shooting him.
Prince was rushed to the hospital but he succumbed to the injuries.
The suspects are yet to be arrested.
Police say there were 2 to 3 suspects last seen leaving in a gray or silver four-door sedan heading west on 14th Street NW.

A magistrate court sitting in the Ajah area of Lagos has ordered the remand of popular Nigerian Rapper, Panshak ‘Ice Prince’ Zamani at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre.
The Lagos State Police Command on Friday arraigned Ice Prince, for assaulting and abducting a policeman in the Lekki area of the state.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, in a tweet, said the music artiste was driving to a destination in the state when the police patrol team in the area stopped him around 3am for driving without license plates.
Zamani was hit with a three-count charge of assault, obstructing a policeman from carrying out his statutory duties and abduction.
When the counts were read to him, he pleaded not guilty.
Magistrate Taiwo Oyaniyi subsequently granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 and he is also to provide the court with two responsible sureties. The Magistrate ordered that he be remanded in the correctional center until he fulfills his bail condition. He then adjourned further proceedings in the case till September 7.

A video which captured the emotional moment Mrs. Amarachi Okechi, the widow who was publicly tortured after she was branded a witch in Abia, was reunited with her daughter, has been shared online.

An abroad-based Nigerian lady has shared her mother’s dramatic reaction after she got three ear piercings.
The lady identified as @chideraprecious on TikTok said that although she got the piercing two years ago, her mother still chastises her whenever she sees her.

The spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, has said there’s video evidence of popular rapper, Ice Prince Zamani, assaulting a police officer and it will be presented in court as evidence.
Nigerians woke up to news of the rapper’s arrest today, September 2, and he was accused of abducting and assaulting a police officer in the early hours of the day.
According to SP Hundeyin in a statement shared on his Twitter page, the rapper was stopped for driving without a license plate and agreed to be taken to a station but in course of this, he abducted and assaulted the police officer in his car and even threatened to throw him in the river.
Some people doubted the authenticity of the story and requested for a video evidence as proof that the singer indeed assaulted a police operative.
Reacting to this, SP Hundeyin, in an update shared on his Twitter page, said there’s video evidence but they won’t make it public, but instead, present it in court as evidence. He also disclosed that a close friend of the rapper has seen the video.
“For those asking for video evidence, yes we have it. And no, we won’t release it. A very close ally of his has seen it. It will be presented to the presiding magistrate as part of our evidence”, he tweeted.
Popular Nigerian comedian and actress, Anita Asuoha, better known as Real Warri Pikin, has revealed that she tried to commit suicide in 2018.
She opened up about the incident in a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo.
According to her, she took the drastic step because she and her husband, Victor, were neck-deep in debt to the tune of N22 million (Twenty-Two Million Naira).
She said things were so tough for the family that she attempted to end her life in June 2018 by taking a drug overdose. She said she was taken to three different hospitals before she finally regained consciousness.
She said after she survived the suicide attempt, she knew God did not want her to die yet because he still had plans for her.
Her words,
”In 2017/2018 I had issues. Actually, I and my husband had issues, financial issues because we were in debt and everything. Then, I attempted suicide on June 6, 2018, but I didn’t die. Then they carried me to three different hospitals. In the last hospital when I woke up, I was like so I didn’t die? That meant God didn’t want me to die.”

An Abuja-based man, Lukman Abdulaziz, has divorced his wife, Rashidat, after 19 years of marriage, on grounds that she’s not prayerful.
Abdulaziz, a Muslim, approached the Grade I Area Court in Kubwa, Federal Capital Territory, praying that the court confirm the divorce of his wife, Rashidat, after he had already done so, according to an Islamic injunction.
He explained that he was divorcing her because she does not observe daily prayers, among other irreconcilable differences.
He also accused his wife of disliking his family, especially his mother. He said that he asked her to follow him to the village for her to resolve issues with his mum, but she refused.
“She does not observe her daily prayers and does not like my family members. I asked her to follow me to the village so that we can resolve issues on why she dislikes my mother and she refused.
“I pronounced divorce to her on June 6 and she has observed her iddah. I am no longer interested in the marriage and have informed her parents,” Lukman Abdulaziz told the court.
The wife, in response, told the court that Abdulaziz told her on August 27, that he had not been making love to her for the past three months because he wanted a divorce.
“He said he would fend for our four children but wanted me to leave his house because he wanted to sell it. I told him the house belongs to my children because I built the house with him, it is not his house,” she said.
The presiding Judge, Muhammad Adamu, therefore dissolved the marriage following Abdulaziz’s prayers.
Adamu explained that in Islam, a man has the power to divorce his wife due to reasons he feels are valid.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, said some Nigerians have intentionally gone blind, deaf and lost their memory to President Buhari’s achievement.
He stated this in an article released on his official Facebook page titled “Buhari’s footprints from home to Diaspora.”
Speaking in regards to the President’s achievements both home and abroad, Adesina said some Nigerians have afflicted themselves with willful blindness, deafness and amnesia despite the fact that Buhari’s footprint is apparent in all areas of governance.

In terms of financial remittances, see what our diaspora have done in the past three years. Mind you, we are talking of funds remitted through official channels, which can be tracked and recorded, and not unofficial ones.
To show the national acceptability that President Buhari has given to diaspora matters, Abia and Edo States have also set up Diaspora Commissions, and signed bills into law. We are sure making progress. From Washington to Russia, France, South Africa, Rwanda, Portugal, India, and many other countries, President Buhari has held Town Hall meetings with Nigerians resident abroad. When there were flare-ups in South Africa, Libya, Lebanon, Ukraine, and other places, he promptly brought willing Nigerians back home, not minding cost.
Truly, we have with us the Most Diaspora Friendly President, and this, among others, will stand him in good stead, when he breasts the tape in May, next year. But insecurity? Let the naysayers wait and see. Even that, will become history”

According to Kate, she has worked with Dr. Femi Olaleye, founder of Optimal Healthcare Company, for years after he approached her and asked her to partner with his medical foundation to advocate against cancer.
She said she recently attended one of the advocacy events where women were to get free screenings, and she asked Dr. Femi about his wife, who was absent.
She stated that Dr. Femi told her that they were separated and that he tried to demonize her.
Kate said that the doctor informed her that his wife set him up by bringing a woman into the house, despite knowing his weakness, and he had intercourse with the woman.
Kate subsequently got the information from Dr. Femi’s wife, who revealed that the ‘woman’ in question was a minor.
Kate said she then sent a message to Dr. Femi berating his actions but he responded and denied confessing to her that he had sexual relations with the minor.
Slamming the doctor on Instagram, Kate insisted that he confessed to her and she vowed to make sure he’s brought to book.

Speaking on Amaka’s sudden eviction during her diary session, Diana said she was taken aback when the housemates acted surprised and sad to see Amaka leave the house.
According to her, some of the housemates acted more surprised than Amaka herself and she found it weird because they were the ones that put her on the chopping block in the first place. She further stated that all the housemates are ‘hypocrites’.
