A Twitter user has taken to the platform to narrate how a man who dumped his girlfriend of two years to marry someone else returned to beg her to become his side chic.

According to @ThatUrhoboGirl, the man dated his ex-girlfriend for two years and suddenly broke up with her to marry a lady he met within six months.

The heartbroken lady managed to pick up the pieces of her life and moved on from the devastating breakup.

However, the said man came back shortly after his wedding to ask her to be his side chic because he hasn’t moved on from the love they shared.

@ThatUrhoboGirl tweeted,

“They dated for 2yrs only for him to marry another girl he met within the short period of 6months.

Takema, the Senior Special Assistant to the Benue State Governor on Rural Development, said his ex-lover called him several times last week, but he didn’t pick up her calls. Unknown to him, she was calling from her hospital bed.

The 25-year-old Edo-born entertainer, during a conversation with her beau, Groovy, last night, expressed her displeasure with his romantic dance moves with other ladies during their parties.

According to her, he doesn’t rock her in the house like he does other female housemates.

This comes after Groovy told Phyna that they should reduce their public display of affection (PDA).

Earlier today, Groovy, whose affair with Pyhna raised eyebrows amongst fellow housemates and viewers of the reality show because of the controversies surrounding it, approached Phyna and asked that they tone things down.

Recall that their relationship started after Beauty, Groovy’s former love interest, was disqualified from the show, and Amaka, Phyna’s one-time best friend, confessed her love for Groovy.

Regardless of the controversies, the lovebirds have continued to spend time together and engage in the public display of their affection, cuddling up and locking lips at every given opportunity.

However, on Tuesday morning, August 16, Groovy told Phyna that they needed to cut back on the PDA.

Phyna, who emerged as the tail of the house in the Head of House games and can only communicate with her colleagues with signals through the week, in response, told Groovy his decision to stop their PDA is because he doesn’t love her.

Veteran Nollywood actor, Charles Ndawurum has taken to social media to reveal that he doesn’t get offended when someone calls him ugly.

Brothers arrested for attempting to murder boy who assaulted their sister in Delta

The Delta State Police Command has arrested two brothers for alleged attempts to murder a boy who assaulted their sister in the state.

The public relations officer, Delta State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe, who made this disclosure in a statement on Thursday, said the suspects were arrested on their way to the planned murder.

Edafe further revealed that a single cut-to-size gun was recovered from the brothers, identified as Uche Owoh and Ediri Ogedengbe.

“These suspects on handcuff, Uche Owoh and Ediri Ogedengbe were on their way to Pessu in warri for a planned murder of one boy who beat up their sister. Our men intercepted them and recovered one cut-to-size gun. Thankfully, the boy they planned to murder has escaped death.” Edafe wrote on Twitter.

The gentleman who is a travel vlogger and has been experiencing pieces of Nigeria since his arrival, decided to worship in a church recently.

He made sure to document the unusual experience for him, although it was fun. In his video, he describes worshipping in Nigerian churches as a massive dance party where most agendas of a service always has dancing incorporated in it.

The day he went to worship was a Thanksgiving service day and so there was a lot of dancing and praise during the service which was quite fun for him.

Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have uncovered a ritualist den with 20 mummified corpses in Benin City, the Edo State capital.

The command’s spokesperson, ASP Jennifer Iwegbu, in a statement on Wednesday, August 17, said the suspected ritualist den was uncovered along Asoro slope, off Ekenhuan road, in Uzebu quarters.

According to Iwegbu, operatives of the command stormed the scene following credible intelligence received. Three suspects were arrested while others fled.

The statement read,

“In pursuance of its operational mandate of nipping crimes in the bud, Operatives of the Edo State Police Command 17/08/2022 unravelled a suspected ritual shrine. Following credible information at the Command’s disposal that some corpses were discovered in a building along Asoro slope off Ekenhua road, Uzebu quarters,Benin city. Operatives of the command immediately swung into action and mobilized to the scene.

“At the scene, 3 suspects, Chimaobi Okoewu ‘M’ and Oko Samuel ‘M’ both of Afikpo in Ebonyi and Gideon Sunday ‘M’ of Akwa-Ibom State were arrested while others fled. An intensive effort is ongoing to arrest the other fleeing suspects. 15 mummified male corpses, 3 mummified female corpses and 2 mummified children corpses were discovered at the scene

“To this end, the Edo State Commissioner of Police, CP Abutu Yaro, fdc, has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of state CID to carry out a discreet investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the discovered corpses and therefore enjoins the general public to be calm as the command will continue to ensure the safety of all law-abiding citizens and those residing in Edo state.”

A video, said to be from the scene, making the rounds online shows mummified bodies stacked on an iron rack and others standing against the wall of a room.

Ekiti prophet allegedly rapes 13-year-old girl in her mother’s house, threatens to make her run mad if she tells anyone

A 45-year-old prophet, Adeleye Akingbaso, has been remanded in prison for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl and threatening to make her run mad if she reports him to anyone.

In a Magistrate Court sitting in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti state capital, Prophet Akingbaso was accused of defiling the minor in her mother’s house on the 25th of July, 2022.

The minor was said to have raised alarm after the clergy attempted to rape her for the second time.

In her statement to the Police, the victim said:

“The Prophet is my mother’s friend, he used to sleep in our house. On that day, my mummy left for night duty, but the Prophet slept in our house. In the midnight, he woke me and said I had bed wet, I said no.”

“He gave me shea butter and salt to rub my private part, I did as he directed. When I woke the second day, I saw him beside me and discovered that I have been raped. He warned me not to tell anybody, because I will run mad

“He came back the third day, he said, he wanted to renew what he gave me earlier by having sex with me. I ran out of the house and informed our neighbours. They called my mother and narrated what happened to her. He was arrested and handed over to the Police”

In the court sitting, Magistrate Olu Bamidele while giving his ruling on the case, said the prophet should be remanded in prison.

“The defendant is ordered to be remanded at the Nigeria Correctional Centre, Ado Ekiti pending issuance of legal advice by the Director of Public Prosecutions”. he said.

The case has been adjourned to 29th September, 2022.

The mother of three pointed out that there are some women who laud their husbands for taking care of the kids and doing menial tasks in the home.

Popular Nollywood Actor, Yul Edochie has reacted to the constant reports on social media that Policemen harrass young Nigerians and he said he has never been harrased because of a secret behaviour he’d always display whenever he encounters them.

He then proceeded to advise Nigerians what to do to avoid being ”harassed” by policemen on the road.

The actor said he does a lot of road trips and has never been harassed.

He then unveiled the secret as “humility” and advised young people to keep their “Don’t you know me” attitude aside when dealing with the police.

In his words ;

I do road trips a lot, I’ve met so many policemen on the road & they’ve never harassed me before.
The secret is humility.
All that ‘don’t you know me’ attitude, keep it aside.
You’re a citizen just like everyone else.
Once you humble yourself na policemen go hail you pass.

Singer Buju ‘BNXN’ will surely answer for his assault on a police officer – Lagos police spokesperson

Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos State police command has reacted to Buju ‘BNXN’ saying he spat on a police officer during a confrontation captured on video earlier today August 17.

Buju ‘BNXN’ in the now-deleted tweet, had said he “spat in a police officer and it felt so good”.

The tweet quickly garnered a lot of attention and screenshots were taken by several Twitter users before Buju deleted it so the Police Spokesperson got wind of BNXN conversial tweet and said the ‘Outside’ crooner will surely answer for his action which can be deemed as Assault on a police officer. He also said the officers will be punished for their behavior.

He wrote ;

@BNXN proudly tweeted that he ‘spat in [sic] a police officer’s face and it felt so good.’ He has since deleted the tweet. The police officers will be sanctioned for their misbehavior if established, while @BNXN will surely answer for his assault on a police officer.

Men of the Anambra State Police Command have arrested the transition committee chairman of Nnewi North Local Government Area, Mbazulike Iloka, over the death of his wife, Chidiebere Iloka.

YabaleftOnline earlier reported that Iloka was suspended by Governor Soludo following widespread allegation that he physically assaulted his wife, leading to her death.

Chidiebere died barely a week after he was sworn in as the new local government chairman, and he claimed she slipped and fell while bringing food to him and hit her head on a concrete wall.

However, close friends of the deceased alleged that he beat her to death as there were bruises all over her corpse. They also alleged that she was incessantly beaten by her husband at the slightest provocation.

In a new update, Iloka, who is popularly called Mba Mba, has been nabbed by the Police and is currently chilling at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Awka, Anambra State, under charges of culpable homicide.

Confirming his arrest, the spokesman of the Anambra State Police command, told members of the public to exercise patience as they wait for the autopsy result to unravel the cause of her death.

A video of a Caucasian mother teaching her 5-year-old son what to do if there’s ever an active shooter in his school has gone viral online.

This follows the rising cases of gun violence and school shooting in the United States.

In the now-viral video, the proactive mom, identified as @thewaltonfamily1 on TikTok, is seen teaching her son how to protect himself in the event that his school is under the siege of a shooter.

The mom, who bought a bullet proof backpack for her son, told him to hide in a corner in his classroom and use his backpack as a shield.

She also told him not to listen to his class teacher if she asks him to drop his bag, and instead tell her it’s bullet proofed.

The mom also evaluated how her son would respond to different case scenarios in the event of a school shooting, and corrected him if he gave the wrong response.

The video, which is currently trending online, has sparked massive reactions as netizens applauded the mom for teaching her son how to protect himself, while others prayed for him not to ever experience a school shooting.

Wife reportedly ends eight-year marriage because her husband called her his ex-girlfriend’s name

A Nigerian woman has reportedly ended her eight-year marriage to her husband because he addressed her by his ex-girlfriend’s name.

A Twitter user, @Oye440, who made this disclosure on the micro-blogging platform, said the incident happened to his aunt.

He claims that his aunt’s husband called her by the name of his ex-girlfriend, leading to the end of their eight-year marriage.

Although he didn’t give many details about what transpired, his tweet read,

“My auntie just ended her marriage of 8 years because her husband called her by his ex girlfriend’s name.”

In other news, Nigerian evangelist, Onee Zeh, has advised young Nigerian bachelors who desire to marry good women to emulate husband of popular gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo.

Onee Zeh, in a lengthy Facebook post, said that unmarried men who desire to someday marry a good wife like Mercy Chinwo should learn from her husband’s charisma and sense of fashion.

He asked how single men would get a decent wife when they dye their hair and also pull their trousers below the waist.

According to him, Pastor Blessed was able to attract a good wife like Mercy because he dresses well and takes care of himself.

An Australian relationship coach, Jake Maddock, has advised single women to only date men who are ten years older than them.

The married coach said from his experience coaching thousands of people, when a woman dates a younger man, it rarely works out.

Jake, who claims to have cracked the code for long lasting relationships, said women should only date older men.

In an interview with FEMAIL, he said,

‘Men and women mature emotionally at different times. According to experts, men take about ten years longer to become emotionally mature than for a woman.

‘An older man is likely to be less commitment phobic and more decisive about where he wants to take the relationship. He will also have a more mature viewpoint when it comes to solving problems and relationship issues.’

‘He will have made his mistakes and is unlikely to repeat them. He won’t play silly games, he chooses you for better reasons and will appreciate you more.”

Speaking further, Maddock said the Hollywood dating and marriage scene is proof of his theory.

Giving examples of Hollywood couples, he said,

“George Clooney was clearly very careful about the women he chose to date. He was still a bachelor at age 52 when he met Amal Alamuddin in 2013. He is seventeen years her senior, which didn’t faze either of them,” Jake said.

“Jerry Seinfeld married Jessica Sklar in 1999, when he was 45 and she was 28. They are still together. Alec Baldwin began dating Hilaria Thomas in 2011, when he was 53 and she was 27. They are still together. Harrison Ford began dating Calista Flockhart in 2002, when he was 60 and she was 38. They are still together.”
