Angel, the wife of Big Brother Naija ‘level up’ housemate, Kesiena Tony Adjekpovu a.k.a Kess, has shared an emotional video in pidgin English to solicit the support of fans and viewers of the show.

This comes after her husband, a 28-year-old businessman, was nominated for possible eviction on Monday, August 16.

In the video, Angel said she strongly believes her husband can win the show because he needs the N100 million prize money to build a house for his mom and also take care of their family.

She added that she knows being on the show would expose her husband to different vices which she’s not comfortable with, but she has chosen to support him regardless.

Speaking on the miscarriage she had recently, Angel who said her son died in her arms, said it was a traumatic experience for her because the greatest gift she can give her husband is a child but sadly, she lost the pregnancy.

She said contrary to popular notion that she wants her husband to come home to support her because of the loss of their child, she wants him to remain on the show.

She emphasized that she doesn’t want her husband to be evicted from the show and appealed to netizens to vote for Kess.

Sharing the video on Kess’ official Instagram page, the handler wrote,

Big Brother Naija season 7 housemate, Aniekwe Francis Chidi better known as Chizzy, has expressed his displeasure with a fellow housemate who left a dirty plate in the kitchen.

Earlier today, the Anambra-born housemate, who was recently introduced on the show as a ‘rider’, complained bitterly about the unknown housemate who ate cereal and dropped the plate on the kitchen counter without washing it.

According to him, he already washed the dirty plates collectively used by himself and his fellow housemates, but won’t touch the cereal bowl.

He asserted that the person that used the plate is very wicked and heartless for leaving it there for someone else to wash it.

“How can a human being do this? That person is heartless, very wicked”, he said angrily.

Reacting to his outburst, Bryann said Chizzy should have called out the person immediately he/she dropped the plate and left without washing it.

Over the weekend, the self-acclaimed life coach trended on social media, howbeit for the wrong reasons, after multiple women exposed chats purportedly showing him begging for money and material things.

He was exposed by aggrieved women who didn’t like a tweet he posted about ‘broke women’, and slammed him for talking down on broke women when he was once broke himself.

It would be recalled that he advised men against dating broke women because they won’t help them grow, but drain them.

They also dragged him to filth for opening a Gofundme to sponsor his forthcoming wedding to his heartthrob, Arike.

Solomon Buchi breaks

Well, Solomon Buchi has now broken his silence in a statement shared on his Twitter page.

He explained that he didn’t open a Gofundme account as claimed, but a cash registry list, which is a common practice among intending couples.

According to him, he opened the cash registry list because some of his followers requested for it, and it’s not compulsory for people to make donations.

Speaking on the chats of him begging for money, Solomon admitted that they are real and not fabricated, but stated that it was a long time ago, between 2015-17.

He said he was broke at the time and asked for financial help from people he trusted, and he didn’t expect them to use it against him now.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has claimed that the Federal Government has not been sincere with the process of resolving what has led to the lingering strike action.

The union which announced that it would be meeting with representatives of government today August 16, said government’s move to placate its members into calling off the strike with salary increment instead of holistically addressing the issues affecting university education in the country is “unfortunate”.

ASUU President, Emmanuel Osodeke, who featured on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday August 15, added that it is sad that the government says it does not have money to meet their demand.

He said;

“The government is not sincere in its dealing with us. This has been the issue all along.

“What we are doing is the sacrifice we have to save this country and its youths. A collapsed university system is a collapsed country and we are almost there. We will not be tired, we will ensure that our university system works.

“We have not heard any serious communication from the government though they have invited us for renegotiation of the 2009 agreement tomorrow (today).

“The issues have to do with funding, structure, autonomy, and how to raise funds for the university system in Nigeria. But the government has reduced the issue to just salary alone.

“If the government has looked at the issues comprehensively, we will not be talking about funding. This government wants to blackmail us with salaries.

“Every university in the world is an autonomous body. You don’t subject the university to public service. This is why we are where we are today.

“The renegotiation started in 2017 when Mr. Wale Babalakin was appointed to chair the talks. We spent more than two years on that.

“That committee eventually collapsed when Babalakin was removed as the Chancellor of the University of Lagos. Another person was appointed.

“Each time a new committee is set up, the first question we ask them is whether they have the mandate to renegotiate the whole agreement with us and they usually answer in the affirmative.

“Imagine since May 2021, we concluded renegotiation and they said they would get back to us. Since then, they didn’t back to us since we started this strike.”

“It is sad for the Federal Government to say it does not have money to meet our demand. If anybody has a will, he or she can get what he wants.

“If the government has the will and believes that education is important, it will raise any amount to fix it.

“This is a government that has given N100 billion for Trader Moni, raised about N200 billion to feed school children? Each of these is more than what we are asking for as revitalisation fund.”

A police officer is currently receiving heat on social media after he bragged that an FRSC officer changed his mind about arresting him for breaking a road traffic law after realizing he is a policeman.

Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, August 16, Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi disclosed that he was driving and receiving a call in Abuja, when a road safety officer stopped him and threatened to arrest him for using his phone while driving.

According to him, when the FRSC official heard him giving orders to the DPO in his station, he mellowed and let him go.

He tweeted,

“I was driving today in abuja, and one road safety officer who wanted to arrest me for using phone, heard me instructing the DPO to put one person in d cell, he just saluted me, and passed me.

“This is to say ‘to every rule, there must be an exception to save some situations’. Lol.”

A Nigerian man has taken to Twitter to advise young ladies to embrace decency and always be modest in their appearance, citing gospel singer Mercy Chinwo as an example.

The young man, identified as 6ixmangram on the micro-blogging platform, opined that a woman could be fully covered and properly dressed and yet find the ideal husband.

Giving this counsel, he cited gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo, who recently got married to her husband, Pastor Blessed of The Waterbrook Church, as an example, who should be emulated.

He shared wedding photos of the couple and captioned them,

“Dear Ladies you can be properly dressed, fully covered and still capture the best Husband. Decency pays 👌”.

Mariama Abubakar Bobbo, who was kidnapped alongside her husband, Abubakar Idris Garba and their four children during the Kaduna-Abuja train attack, has taken to her social media page to share her experience in captivity for the past 4 months.

Her husband is a staff of the National Assembly Commission and son of former military governor of Kano and Benue States.

Taking to her Facebook page on Monday, August 15, Mariama was grateful to friends and family members for their prayers, donations and support towards their release from captivity.

Her post reads;

“Allah tests those whom He loves most. Which of His favors shall I deny?,” .

None!!! He said : I will not give you a burden you cannot bear. After every difficulty there is ease. True He was merciful, He gave us courage to persevere and bear with the situation.

We were always full of gratitude and we put our absolute trust in Him alone for we were sure it was our destiny written by no one but Him and it shall pass at His appointed time.

However, may this kind of affliction never ever befall us and anyone of you all. May Allah protect us all. May Allah reward you all abundantly and replenish you all in folds.

Thank you all for supporting us and standing beside my sister (mother) Rabi Abubakar Bobbo these 4 and half months while we were in captivity.

Let’s continue to pray for the rest in captivity please. We pray collectively at 2:30-3:00am and I try to still be awake to do same. Do join us.

A young Nigerian lady has taken to social media to express her joy and excitement as she successfully relocates from Nigeria to Canada.

The young lady, identified as Phil Divina, shared a video documenting her trip to the North American country on popular video sharing platform, TikTok.

She showed the moment she arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, and another part of the clip showed when she landed in Canada.

Divina in the video declared that her goal is to remain in Canada and pray for a better Nigeria from there.

In the trending clip, the heavily pregnant woman, who was in excruciating pain, is seen being comforted by a man believed to be her husband in a hospital waiting area.

While experiencing serious discomfort and wincing in pain, the young woman said she was done with pregnancy and would not take in again after delivering her baby.

Police officers caught on camera extorting passengers of a vehicle (video)

Some police officers have been captured on tape extorting passengers of a vehicle at a checkpoint.

In the video that found its way to the internet, some officers could be seen inside the vehicle they had stopped, while another officer who was outside asked a passenger if he had “sent it”.

“You don send am? E don enter?” The officer asked a passenger who confirmed he had “sent it”.

Although it is yet to be confirmed where the incident happened, the video has sparked outrage from Nigerians on social media.

This comes after the Benue State Police Command apprehended an officer identified as Sgt. James Aondona, for allegedly killing a trailer driver in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of the state.

According to reports, the sergeant shot the driver dead on Sunday, June 27, after he refused to pay money allegedly demanded by police officers at a roadblock along Katsina-Ala-Zaki-Biam road.

Activist, Ukan Kurugh revealed that the trailer driver was stopped by the operatives who mounted a road block and was asked to remit N3000 but he gave them N1500 stating that he didn’t have a full truck and can’t pay more than that.

An argument ensued over the driver’s refusal to pay the illegal levy and the policeman allegedly shot and killed him. An eyewitness claims that the trailer driver was heading to Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State when the incident occurred.

Spokesperson of the command, SP Catherine Anene, who confirmed the incident in a statement on Monday, June 27, said that the culprit, Sgt. Aondona, has been arrested.

The PPRO identified the deceased as Aondohumba Terkula. SP Anene said a preliminary investigation revealed that one of its officers, Sgt. James Aondona was properly briefed on his schedule of duty and posted to an observation point at Ngibo, Kastina-Ala LGA.

A while ago, Nollywood actress and best friend of the late actress, Empress Njamah, called for financial support for Ada Ameh’s bereaved mother.

In an effort to be transparent about the process, Empress Njamah, in an updated post, shared a list of those who have donated money thus far on her Instagram page.

According to the actress, N278k has been raised so far for late Ada Ameh’s mother.

“To all those who made donations, thanks for the true and genuine love. Almighty God bless you all, thanks for the support. I honestly can’t do this without you guys. My team and I will be transparent to the end for reasons best known to us.” She wrote in part.

Man slumps and dies in Lagos motel after meeting a lady he met online

A 55-year-old man, Abdulwaheed Lamidi, has died after meeting a lady he met online at City International Motel, Council Bus-Stop in Ikotun, Lagos state.

The 32-year-old lady reportedly travelled from her house in another state to visit Lamidi in Lagos on Saturday, after they met online and began a romantic relationship.

While they were lodged in the motel, things took a drastic turn when Lamidi suddenly slumped in the toilet, prompting the lady to call for help on Sunday morning.

When some employees of the motel rushed into the room, they found Lamidi lying motionless on the ground.

A source who spoke to Punch said,

“The girl said the man wanted to enter the toilet but slumped and fell on the ground. A doctor that works in a hospital close to the motel was called and when the doctor got to the room, he certified the man dead.

“The girl said she came to Lagos to meet the man as he promised to marry her; she came with some property and had the intention of moving into his house to be his live-in lover. Instead of going to the man’s house, they went to the hotel and they were in the room when the girl ran out to call for help because the man slumped.

“So, when people rushed into the room, they found him lying unconscious on the ground. The incident happened around 8.40am on Sunday but the girl arrived from another state on Saturday. The girl said she met the man online and that they had been chatting.”

Lamidi’s corpse has been deposited in a morgue, while the woman, whose name was not revealed, was arrested for interrogation.

Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the lady refused to involve her parents in the case.

Hundeyin said;

“We have contacted the deceased’s family and they have shown up. They are applying to just get their corpse. They said they were not interested in any criminal investigation but the command is still considering their application through its legal department.

“A decision is yet to be taken, but the corpse has been deposited in a mortuary. The lady is still in our custody and has declined to give us the contact details of her family because she doesn’t want them to know what happened.”

Nollywood actress, Chioma Okoye notified the public about an undisclosed issue with her colleague, Oma Nnadi.

The actress in a recent Instagram post she shared, revealed that Oma Nnadi should be held responsible should anything happen to her.

A while ago, the Nollywood actress, writer and producer, lambasted women who flaunt their assets without sharing elaborate details on how they got it.

According to the actress, it is heartbreaking that some women flaunt their luxurious lifestyles with a motivational yet ambiguous speech on how one should work hard to get to their level.

She then called for transparency when it comes to showing off on social media.

For the second time this season, Big Brother Naija housemate, Eloswag emerged Head of House for the week after winning the HoH task earlier this evening.

The young man who was the very first Head of House in the Level Up season of the show will enjoy the privileges once again, prolonging his stay for another two weeks in the Big Brother house.

As Head of House, Eloswag was tasked with the responsibility of nominating housemates who would be up for possible eviction this Sunday.

After close to an hour of deliberation, he was summoned into the Diary room by Biggie where he gave the list of Level 2 housemates he’s nominating and the reasons why.

He nominated Chizzy because of his anger and not mixing well with level 1 housemates and also for seemingly taking the competition too far.

He nominated Daniella because he feels with the love of her life gone, she won’t really be happy in the house and also because of her strength in the Arena games.

He nominated Kess because he feels he wants to go home and he doesn’t feel free in the house, being a married and all. He sees him as quite laid back.

He nominated Modella because he wants to see where her strength lies in the game.

He nominated Pharmsavi because he wants see his strength as well and also because he hasn’t been put up for eviction before.

He nominated Amaka without a strong reason but he feels she should just be up again.

He nominated Groovy because he think he has some strength outside so he wants to confirm it.

With that, Chizzy, Daniella, Kess, Pharmsavi, Modella, Amaka and Groovy are the housemates who are up for possible eviction this week.

27-year-old man set to marry 74-year-old lover, says she reminds him of his grandmother

A 27-year-old man, Devaughn Aubrey, is set to tie the knot with his 74-year-old lover, Kathi Jenkins, after meeting on an adult hookup site.

Although the pair started off as purely intimate partners, it blossomed into love, and they are now engaged to be married.

According to the groom-to-be, Devaughn Aubrey, after dating the septuagenarian for over a year, he knew she was the one for him.

Devaughn works as a stocker at Walmart and a porter for condos. He has no children but was once married at the age of 24. However, he was divorced in 2021, shortly before he met Kathi. Devaughn’s heartthrob, Kathi, had previously been in a few long-term relationships but was never married. She is retired, with four children, 13 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.

Narrating how they met, he said,

“We met online. it is a hook up site neither of us were looking for a serious relationship I stumbled on her picture, it was a picture of her breast. I read her profile and messaged her in hopes of a response, she was online too and answered back. I asked for her number and she gave it to me then she immediately asked how big my member is and we talked for a bit that night.”

“Once I got to her house she was waiting for me already in bed and directed me inside her house to her room and I came in her door and saw her, she looked way hotter than her pictures and smelled really sweet and good. She had this silky dark red blouse on with nothing else.

“Thank god I never told her my height. She’s very selective, she’s a size queen that likes tall men and I’m 5ft 7ins so once she saw me in person one of the first things she said was ‘you’re short’ or ‘you’re shorter than I thought‘. She wasn’t mad, she thought I was hot and we met at a hotel room a couple weeks after that and just kept meeting every week until she invited me over for Thanksgiving then we became official I guess.”

Speaking further, Devaughn’s says his family is supportive for the most part, but they thought he was lying about just how old she was until he showed them pictures.

“I told my mother about her when we started dating but she thought I was joking about her age until we spent our birthdays together and showed her our pictures but I’m sure my parents and siblings got the hint that I like older women. I do have friends around Kathi’s age, some are concerned that I might want kids and can’t understand why I would want someone older but they are still supportive.

“Because of our age gap, sometimes people assume that Kathi is rich and that I want all her money, which is not the case at all. Some people do say it’s inappropriate but it’s just right for us.” He said.

According to him, he loves that Kathi reminds him a lot of his grandmother.

His words,

“She is so perfect for me and she is very experienced in life and teaches me a lot. We never fight, can always talk without yelling and I trust her completely. She sings beautifully and she knows a lot of those old songs that remind me of the stuff my grandmother liked and she knows a lot of the artists that my grandmother liked.

“I guess I like how old she is because I like older women or old women regardless if she needs a walker and stuff. I have never been bothered by that.”

Actress and wife of singer 2Baba, Annie Idibia, has taken to social media to share a video of her 13-year-old daughter, Isabella taking driving lesson.

The mother of two, who’s currently out of the country, revealed her teenage daughter started driving lessons in her absence.

Sharing the video of her 13-year-old daughter learning to drive, Annie worries for her safety and confines her to the boundaries of their estate.

“oh my God, my 13-year-old is driving, please oo, she isn’t allowed to drive outside our estate, someone is in trouble”, Annie Idibia captioned the video.

In the chat shared online by Twitter influencer @jon_d_doe, the lady, identified simply as Sharon, sent a message to the man, Obi, with the intention of reconnecting with him/

Obi was surprised to receive a message from her and asked how she got his phone number to which she said she got it from their class group chat.

Without mincing words, she went straight to the point and listed out some of the achievements of the young man who has now relocated abroad.

A lady has taken to social media to share a video of the deserted waiting area at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja, Lagos.

She attributed the low patronage of flights to the recent increase in airfare, and said taking local flights is now a big deal.

“Empty! When you guys are selling ticket for 200k, nobody is flying.

In other news, a young Nigerian man has been captured on tape lambasting his girlfriend for being ungrateful.

In a trending clip, the girlfriend simply identified as Arike, apparently complained that her boyfriend doesn’t give her enough money for upkeep as his peers do for their lovers.

According to her, he has never given her up to N50,000 since they started dating.

This complaint enraged the young man, who, according to him, goes out of his way to make his woman happy. He claims he gives her as much as N25k or N30k, but she chose to be unappreciative because he has never handed her N50,000 at once.

Congratulations are in order as Yoruba monarch, Oba Oloyede Adeyeoba Akinghare ll, graduates from secondary school.

The Arujale Ojima of Okeluse, Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State, said to be the youngest ruling Yoruba monarch in Nigeria, graduated from Greater Tomorrow International College, Agbaluku-Arigidi Akoko in Ondo State on Saturday, August 13.

The 19-year-old king shared photos from his graduation ceremony on his official Instagram page.

Legendary singer, Innocent Idibia, better known as 2Baba, has knocked trolls insulting him following rumors that he got another lady pregnant.

The singer was in the news days ago after a report, which has been confirmed as false, emerged online alleging that the singer had impregnated a female banker.

Since this unscrupulous report emerged after 2Baba tendered an unreserved apology to his wife for being an embarrassment to his family, many concluded that it was the reason for the public apology.

However, the report was dispelled as false and malicious in a statement released by the singer’s management.

Popular comedian and activist, Debo Adedayo better known as Mr Macaroni, has revealed that his life is being threatened for not supporting a particular presidential candidate.

Taking to Twitter on Sunday, August 15, the skit maker disclosed that he has been receiving death threats from different quarters, and is being bullied online over his choice of candidate.

He said he was recently confronted and threatened by a woman who accused him of antagonizing a presidential candidate, who was not named, in the presence of his sister and manager.

He noted that he is not against any presidential candidate but only wants a candidate that can make Nigeria great again to win the forthcoming election.

“I went to visit my mother 2 weeks ago. I was giving out money to some people in the neighborhood as I always do anytime I go home. A woman walked up to me and asked why I am against a particular candidate.. I said I am not against anyone. All I want is for a better country.

And that can only happen when we vote in good leaders. The next thing she said is that I should better watch myself because they know where my people live. I asked if that was a threat and she continued saying all sorts. My sister and manager were with me and I have a video!

There’s no Messiah anywhere! However, to stand a chance for a better Nation come 2023, we must elect the most suitable options to occupy positions of leadership in the country.
