Actress Didi Ekanem has opined that people who are genuinely happy are not on Instagram and do not even know anything about social media.
The Actress shared her opinion via her social media page and it elicited varying reactions.
In her words;
People who are genuinely happy aren’t on Instagram and don’t even know anything about social media.
They are somewhere, living their simple and peaceful life.
The way they love on God in their unconducive environment, you will be jealous. Talk more of you that sees the light yet you are still complaining that life is unfair instead of praising God.

Some repentant terrorists took to the streets of Maiduguri, the Borno capital on Saturday morning, August 13, to beg for forgiveness from residents of the state as they carried out sanitation exercise.
The sanitation exercise was organized by the Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD) in collaboration with the Borno state government.
The repentant insurgents wore T-shirts that had the words ‘Please forgive us’, ‘We have repented’, and ‘Let’s rebuild Borno again’ inscribed on them.
Speaking on the exercise, Mala Mustafa, a senior research fellow with CDD, said the exercise is part of efforts to prepare them for their reintegration process. He said 400 of the repentant insurgents have been mobilized for the exercise, with 50 of them participating this Saturday for a start in Maiduguri hajj camp.
Abdullahi Ishaq, special adviser to the Borno governor on security, also lauded the initiative by CDD as he said ;
“CDD provided the equipment for this exercise and has been providing us with technical advice as good partners.
He disclosed that the initiative taken by the government after years of insurgency led to the surrender of many insurgents, and also contributed to peace-building efforts in the state.
“Today, Maiduguri is more peaceful than Abuja. We want to continue to call on communities to support this peace process by accepting them,” Ishaq said.

The management of iconic singer, 2face Idibia a.k.a Tubaba, has reacted to reports that the singer has impregnated a female banker.
It would be recalled that the singer recently apologized to his wife, Annie Idibia, for being an embarrassment to their family, and said he was done being anyone’s role model and wants to focus on making music.
Following the emotional apology, an unscrupulous report was shared online alleging that the father of seven apologized to his wife because he has impregnated another woman.
Well, the singer’s management have now released a statement to debunk the report, tagging it “false and malicious”. They also asked Nigerians to disregard the malicious report.

Erica, who took to her Twitter handle to share the update with her fans, disclosed that she’s better now.
“Good morning everyone, I’ve been Ill with food poisoning from eating at one of these new fancy restaurants and I had to go to the hospital but I’m better now!” she wrote.
A Twitter user, however, deemed the announcement unnecessary. He queried why the actress shared her personal issues on Twitter.
“What’s our business? Must you bring your private life here madam!!” He wrote.
Replying, in a now deleted tweet, Erica wrote,

Popular Nigerian singer, Kizz Daniel, appears to have given up on his resolve to quit smoking as he goes back three months after quitting.
The singer had, via his Instagram page on his 28th birthday in May 2022, announced that he had taken the bold decision to quit smoking.
The Buga hitmaker, while admitting that smoking is not a good thing to do, said he was quitting the habit because of his kids and those who love him.
“To celebrate my birthday, for the sake of my kids and those who really love me. I quit. THose of you still struggling with this addiction, it is not cool and it is not good, trust me. May God save us all”, he said, at the time.
However, a few months ago, during an Instagram live session, the father of two said that, despite having quit, he still finds a way to inhale it when he’s around his friends.

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tega Dominic has berated women who endure physical and emotional abuse in the hands of their husbands because they want to stay married.
The reality show star, who was married before participating in the BBNaija show but is now separated from her husband, made this comment on her Instastory.
According to her, women who remain in abusive marriages will either end up dead physically or mentally.

Big Brother Naija level-up housemate, Groovy, has maintained that his relationship with his perceived love interest, Beauty, was not defined.
Groovy and the 43rd Miss Nigeria were thought to be a couple until her disqualification from the show—Beauty was disqualified following an altercation with Groovy for dancing with another female housemate without her permission.

Popular Nollywood actress, Uche Ogbodo was left utterly disappointed after taking delivery of the dresses she ordered from a tailor.
Uche was one of the bridesmaids at the vow renewal ceremony of her colleague, Mary Remmy Njoku, and her husband, Jason Njoku, in the Maldives and made the dresses for the occasion.
Unfortunately, the tailor delivered an horrendous and completely different outfit from what she wanted.

Reality TV star, Tokunbo Idowu popularly known as TBoss, has recounted how her driver tried to sell one of his triplets to her.
The mother of one shared this in a recent interview with Saturday Beats, while speaking on the importance of being financially stable before having children.
“I totally agree that children are blessings but having kids that one can barely feed is an unwise decision.
“I want to be able to comfortably feed and cater for my little ones. The world is such a beautiful place with so many nice things to see and places to visit. I would love to experience life with my kids which would be a hassle if I am not financially equipped.”
Speaking on her experience with her driver, TBoss disclosed that he offered to sell one of his triplets because he didn’t have the means to take care of all of them.
“I had a driver many years ago when I just moved to Abuja whose wife gave birth to triplets and he asked if I would be willing to buy one or two of them because he could not afford (to take care of them), and there were other kids at home.
I initially thought he was joking. I believe it is the level of poverty in the country that pushed him to do something like that.”
On why she posts pictures of her daughter on social media as opposed to some celebrities who hide their children from the media, the former BBNaija star said,
“Celebrities are human beings too, and they should be allowed to raise their children whichever way they desire, as long as they are not endangering the child.
“I did not post my daughter’s picture on social media until I felt ready to do so. Even now, there are still many moments I choose to keep to myself. I am savouring every bit of this motherhood journey. I share the things I want to and guard the rest jealously.”
The reality star also spoke on what motherhood has taught her; “Motherhood has taught me patience. If one is not a patient person, which I never used to be, one would struggle. Meanwhile, friends of popular gospel singer Mercy Chinwo organized a surprise bridal shower on Thursday, August 11.
Videos from the event that have been shared online show the moment the singer walked into a decorated room with her friends cheering her on.
The ladies, including the bride-to-be, were dressed in all-white attire and held placards with different inscriptions.
Governor Chukwuma Soludoof Anambra State has suspended the newly appointed transition committee chairman of Nnewi North Local Government Area, Hon Mbazulike Iloka, over the death of his wife.
This follows widespread allegation that he physically assaulted his wife, Chidiebere, leading to her death.
The deceased, who was hale and hearty and didn’t show any sign of illness, was said to have died suddenly on Sunday, August 7, in Nnewi. However, Mbazulike claimed his wife slumped and died.
Close friends of the deceased said she was a victim of domestic violence, and was incessantly battered by her husband before her sudden death.
A video of her lifeless corpse seems to back this claim, as she had fresh wounds and bruises all over her body.
This has stirred an outrage from people in the community, with many demanding an investigation should be conducted to unravel the cause of her death.
Mbazulike has now been suspended till further notice from his newly appointed role as contained in a letter dated August 11, 2022.
He was directed to hand over the affairs of the local government to the head of the local government administration not later than August 12, 2022
It reads in part,
“Following the sad news of the death of your wife, late Mrs Chidiebere Iloka on 7th August 2022, there have been a massive outcry over the circumstances leading to her death, including alleged possible homicide,” the letter read.
“While you are presumed innocent until the completion of investigations, it has become imperative that you step aside to allow unfettered investigation and justice.
“Consequently, you are directed to step aside and to hand over the affairs of the local government to the head of local government administration, not later that 12th August 2022, until further notice.”
Self-acclaimed life coach,Solomon Buchiis once again in the news for the wrong reason, and this time, he has been outed for being a ‘serial beggar’.
This comes after he took to Twitter to advise men against dating broke women because they won’t help them grow, but rather drain them.
He tweeted on Thursday, August 11,
“Men, stop dating broke women. They won’t help you grow. They’ll drain you. They need money for everything, even for oxygen. They hate work, but they love soft life. Check their IG, you’ll think they’re millionaires. Avoid dating broke women, but give them jobs if you can, but they hate working though. So it’s a lose-lose case.”
The tweet didn’t sit well with a lot of people, especially women, who attacked him for saying all broke women hate working.
Amid the uproar caused by the tweet, some women began sharing chats purportedly showing Solomon Buchi stylishly begging them for money and material things.
In one of the chats, he slid into a woman’s DM because she had ‘London’ on her profile and asked her for £1,500 for a new guitar. Other chats shows him telling women that he’s broke and needs money.
After the tweets surfaced online, netizens asserted that Solomon doesn’t have the right to call women broke because he’s not any different.

Nnenna Amadi, An aspiring Lawyer and student of the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus, has died due to alleged negligence from the school’s medical staff.
Accordig to reports on social media, the late-Nnenna had a severe asthma attack on Thursday, August 11, and was rushed to the school’s medical centre.
It is claimed that the law school’s clinic has only one nurse and that instead of giving Nnenna oxygen they gave her injection because they didn’t have oxygen.
She was later rushed to another hospital where she was confirmed dead on arrival.
It was also gathered that she repeatedly said “I can’t breathe!” before she died.
Nnenna lost her dad in April this year.

According to the 42-year-old Afrobeats superstar, the heartbreak song in which she featured American singer, Brandy, was not inspired by a love affair or relationship, but by the son of God, Jesus Christ.
Speaking to the cheers and applauds of the audience, Tiwa Savage said,
“When I wrote this song, a lot of people told me it wasn’t going to be a hit because only females will sing along to it.
They said “Tiwa this is not going to be a hit because men are not gonna be able to sing Somebody’s son.”
But you know what I told them, when I wrote this song, I was not even thinking about a relationship, I was thinking about Jesus Christ because he is the real somebody’s son.
So I said to them, people will relate to the song because whether you are a man or a woman, we all need somebody’s son.”

Her statement has stirred mixed reactions on Twitter, with many people not buying her claim of being inspired by Jesus Christ.
A Nigerian model has shared the horrendous response she received from a modelling agency after she contacted them to make an inquiry.
The lady, with Twitter handle @Itsololade_, had sent a message to the modelling agency, simply identified as Bimz Model, on WhatsApp, asking if they are recruiting models in Lagos at the moment.
She started off with “Hello Bimz Model” before asking her question. However, the handler found the message offensive and lambasted her for not greeting properly, and told her to get her ‘mannerless act’ off her WhatsApp.
Surprised by the rude response, Ololade asked the modelling agent if she would respond to a paying client in that manner.
She also advised her to respond professionally when chatting with prospective clients because the way she responded is not good for her brand.
Bimz Model felt disrespected by Ololade’s response, and hurled insults at her for trying to teach her how to run her business.
Ololade shared the chats on micro blogging platform, Twitter, and asked Twitter users if her manner of approach was wrong.
She wrote,
“Sigh!💔 Brand owners actually need to do better cause what did i say wrong to deserve all these insults fgs??!!!”
Sarah Ogunbor, the Senior Special Assistant to the Edo State Governor on Digital media, has reacted to a tweet put out by Solomon Buchi about broke women.
Buchi had taken to Twitter to advise men against dating broke women because they will not help them grow but drain them.
“Men, stop dating broke women. They won’t help you grow. They’ll drain you. They need money for everything, even for oxygen. They hate work, but they love soft life.
