“The amount of goodwill I have received from friends and family with regard to the birth of my daughter has left me speechless. The kind words, alerts, packages, status updates, mindblowing gestures, and more… words are awfully inadequate to express the depth of my gratitude. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!!!! Mama, Papa and Baby are grateful.”

According to Blessing Mary, the in-laws said that as far as traditions were concerned, her mother had no children yet.
Her post reads ;
There’s an interesting on-going discussion about the rights or lack of of women who are married according to traditional customs in Nigeria.
I’m stunned that people are surprised that the woman or girl child has almost no rights based on most cultures in Nigeria. In fact, if you think otherwise, share any customs or traditions in your community that protects or uplifts women and girls
I mean, I was less than 8 when I decided to stop going with my family to the village for Christmas celebrations in December. This was as a result of the humiliation and pain my mum, especially, always suffered at the hands of her in-laws
They mocked her for having only girl children. Told her that as far as traditions were concerned, she had no children yet. They went as far as calling my sisters and I useless and tried to get my father to marry a second wife who would birth him a son= a heir

“This is total bs. Sergey and I are friends and we were at a party together last night!
I’ve only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times with lots of other people around. Nothing romantic,” Musk wrote.
In response to a Twitter user who advised him to keep his manhood in his pants, the billionaire disclosed that he has not even had sex in a while.
The 51-year-old tech mogul who is currently on a baecation with his 27-year-old girlfriend also claimed that he has not slept with her on the vacation.

Popular Nigerian singer, Gabriel Amanyi, professionally known as Terry G, has finally addressed the comparisons people have made between him and controversial singer, Portable.
Over time, music lovers have compared the self-styled ‘king of the streets’ to fast-rising street hip-hop artist, Portable, noting that their personas are quite similar.

However, speaking in an interview with Punch, the Free Madness crooner said there’s no basis for anyone to compare him to Portable.
When asked how he feels about being likened to Portable, Terry G said that though they are both into the “crazy genre” of music, they are both different personalities.

“I love Portable so much. Despite the fact that I did the ‘crazy genre’ of music, it does not mean that somebody else cannot be inspired and still unique. He is quite unique. There is nothing he has that can be compared to mine, musically and intellectually. I feel nobody should shut him out. He cannot be stopped.
If he stops talking, what else will happen? That is his style. It (controversies) did not just start from me. It started with different guys that represented the streets, and it will still continue. It is normal.” He said.
Speaking on why he has been on a music hiatus, Terry G said,
”I am still the king of the streets, even if I have not released any content in a while. It is deliberate. I had a court case which was going on underground. I could not release any content because of that. I had to use that time to focus on my family and business. I had the urge to release songs but I could not because of the contract I had. Presently, I am working on releasing more content.”

Popular media personality, Latasha Ngwube, has reacted to a video of dancer Korra Obidi vowing never to put her relationship online again.
The mother of two, whose four-year marriage to American doctor Justin Dean recently hit rock bottom, vowed never to flaunt her relationship online again while recounting the role of netizens in her marriage crash.

In a viral video, Korra admits that flaunting her relationship online contributed to their messy split.
According to her, while she and Dean were still together, some jealous social media users would slide into his DM to complain about her, and this eventually led to their split, five days after the birth of their second child. Read here.

“Me, if I have another bae, I will never put him online, you people will destroy it like you destroyed my first marriage. I remember those times someone will go and email him; look at what your wife is doing everyday, how will he not run away how will he not tell me pack out of my house five days postpartum”, she said.
However, reacting, Latasha opined that Korra’s making the video is enough proof that she hasn’t learnt her lesson.
She urged her to move in silence, enjoy her own company, and stop feeding netizens with details about her life.
“Sweety even the fact that you’re making this video says you haven’t learned your lesson. Move in silence, enjoy your own company and stop feeding the onliners. Nourish yourself and work towards a beautiful life. You’re talented and strong, but social media is clearly your weak point. P.s. take responsibility for your actions. You overexposed yourself and your family but affliction need not arise a second time if you’re wise.” She wrote.

Popular Nigerian comedian and activist, Mr Macaroni drops a new comedy video tagged “APC, PDP And The Emerging Force”.
The suspected terrorist, Ado Aleru, who was recently turbaned as Sarkin Fulani in Zamfara state, has maintained that he did not ask to be given the title.
The suspected bandit kingpin was turbaned as the Sarkin Fulani on July 16 by Aliyu Marafa, Emir of Yandoto, in Tsafe LGA of the state, after the police placed Aleru on its wanted list over his alleged involvement in banditry.

Public uproar over Aleru’s coronation led the state government to suspend Marafa, who had conferred the title on Aleru, who is wanted in neighboring Katsina State for mass killings.
The Governor of Zamafara state, Matawalle, also banned traditional rulers in the state from awarding chieftaincy titles without getting government approval.
However, speaking on the reactions that trailed his coronation, Aleru, in an interview published by DW Hausa on Sunday, July 24, said he did not ask for the title, adding that it was the emir that approached him.
“This title, let me tell you the truth, I didn’t ask for it; they reached out to me regarding it. They called and informed me of what they wanted to give me. Then, I said ‘no, this shouldn’t happen’. But since I have parents, later we sat down and discussed about it, and since the new king has said what he wants to do in his kingdom, I accepted the title.” He said.
The Katsina government had placed a bounty of N5 million on information leading to the arrest of Mr. Aleru, who is accused of killing 52 people in Kadisau, a community in Faskari Local Government in 2019.
Aleru, on his part, denied taking part in the Kadisau village attack linked to him.
In his words,
“The talks about Kadisau, please, I beg you in the name of God to ask the Emir of Kadisau or look for his number and ask him the cause of the attack.”

One of the abducted passengers of the ill-fated Kaduna train who spoke in a new video released by the terrorists has been identified as a lawyer named Hassan Usman.
It would be recalled that on March 28, 2022, terrorists said to be Boko Haram members attacked the Kaduna-bound train, killed some passengers and abducted others, while some lucky passengers were left unscathed.
In a new development, the terrorists have released a heart-wrenching video showing the abducted passengers being flogged with sticks while they wailed and begged for mercy.

In the video, one of the passengers who spoke on behalf of the other passengers, complained bitterly about the Federal Government’s failure to secure their release.
He also called for the help of foreign countries and international bodies to come to their rescue since the Nigerian Government have failed them.
His words,
“I am one of those involved in the train mishap. That train belonged to the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The Government has the responsibility to rescue us, but has failed,” Usman said.
“We called on our relations who were willing to rescue us but the Nigerian government due to being insensitive to our plight did not allow our relations to rescue us.
“This is why we are calling on the big nations of the world such as England, America, France and the remaining international community, the likes of Saudi Arabia, to intervene in this matter with a view to finding a solution
“Truly, these people ( terrorists), their intention was not for us to even spend one week in captivity. They wanted their demands to be met so that they release us. But Nigeria showed no concern over this matter, showing no care.
“We are therefore calling on these big nations of the world, France, Saudi Arabia,England and America, the international community, ECOWAS, AU, they should please help and intervene in this matter. They should come and help us so that a solution could be reached that will enable us reunite with our families,” he added.
