Some Nigerian Muslims on Twitter lambasted a young Muslim lady over her choice of dressing. The Photos of the lady were shared on a Twitter account with handle, Hafsa @wy_dee.

It however isn’t ascertained if she is the owner of the account or it is a catfish account — some Muslims, reacting to the post, criticised the lady for wearing ‘such a dress,’ saying that it is against the teaching of the Qur’an.

Commenting under the post, one Abdullaziz Ibrahim stated that he will divorce the lady if she were his wife.

“If I ‘m the husband you will get your divorce because of this dress to it to the world.” he wrote.

“If this is called civilization, we prefer to die uncivilized, we have failed to prove the teaching of Quran and Sunnah” one Ahmad Adamu wrote.

The socialite took to her Instagram page recently to pen down words from an emotional state of mind to share how much she missed having her beau around.

Sharing a lovely video of beautiful memories they shared together, Angel reflected on how the little things he used to say to her, meant the whole world.

She wrote, lengthily,

“It’s been three years without you, I’m 22 now, remember you used to call me small madam, guess I’m a big madam now. I will love you forever and I will tell everyone about what a phenomenal human being you were, so much so that I couldn’t believe you ended up with me.

A passerby who saw the two young men walking barefooted on the streets decided to capture the moment with their camera.

Baron Meyagy, the father of Big Brother Naija star, Angel, has tackled reality TV star Cross over his statement on the final episode of the “Shine Ya Eye” reunion show on Friday night.

The drama started after Angel, in a previous episode of the reunion show, revealed a couple of the things she did for her former best friend, Cross, which, according to her, weren’t reciprocated.

She further revealed that it was the reason she ended their friendship.

However, on last night’s episode, Cross, in his defense, noted that, contrary to Angel’s claim, he also did a couple of things for her family.

This statement apparently did not sit well with Angel’s father, and he has now taken to Twitter to slam Cross.

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested suspected vote buyers in Ekiti during the gubernatorial election today, June 18.

The suspects arrested included an elderly woman and some young men caught with money allegedly used to induce voters.

Channels TV reports that some people were also arrested at a private residence with a book containing details of voters in a certain voting area.

The suspects were reportedly paraded at the Oke Ori Omi Area Police Division of the Nigeria Police Force.

The young lady is said to have gone to the hotel to visit her boyfriend’s friend and lodged with him in one of the rooms without her man’s knowledge.

In the video, the clearly upset man challenges his woman, demanding to know what she was doing with his friend at the hotel.

He expressed his disappointment in her, saying that after everything he had done for her, he would not have expected her to do such a thing.

A 105-year-old grandmother, Mrs. Felicia Fayomi, on Saturday expressed her joy after she cast her vote in the ongoing gubernatorial election in Ekiti state.

The elderly woman, who was accompanied to the voting station by one of her grandchildren at Unit 2, Ward 6, Ifaki Ekiti in the state’s Ido-Osi Local Government Area, was vibrant and told reporters that she had voted.

“I am happy to vote,” The grandma said, before being led back home.

In other news, Bianca Ojukwu, the widow of former Biafra president, Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, has narrated an encounter with Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), in 2009.

The diplomat was reacting to the outburst by a popular cleric, Fr. Ejike Mbaka, who said the former Anambra State governor will never become the next President of Nigeria because he is “stingy”.

While speaking to members of his church on Wednesday, June 15, Mbaka said a stingy man cannot be Nigeria’s president because Nigerians are hungry and they need a generous man.

However, in a Facebook post titled ‘On Peter Obi’s supposed stinginess’ on Thursday, Bianca shared an encounter she had with Obi in 2009 while he was still Anambra’s governor.

Bianca revealed that during her encounter with Obi in 2009, he donated the balance of $3,800, which he could have spent on a suit for an international event, to charity.

Big Brother Naija star, Emmanuel Umoh has made a shocking revelation about his relationship with his co-star and ‘love interest’, Liquorose.

During the final episode of the Reunion show that aired on Friday, June 17, the former Mr Nigeria revealed that he never asked Liquorose to be his girlfriend so they were technically not in a relationship.

The duo were believed to be a couple due to their amorous relationship and public display of affection in the house.

However, Emmanuel has claimed that he never asked her out nor defined their relationship as a romantic couple.

In response, Liquorose countered his statement and said their relationship was clearly defined and she was his girlfriend prior to the Dubai drama when she caught him with another woman.

Emmanuel however maintained that they were not dating as he was not in a relationship with her.

Sowore speaks on his poor performance in first WASSCE attempt, shares result online

The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has explained why he performed poorly in his West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) after the document sparked controversy after he released it online.

The media personality took to Facebook a few days ago to share snapshots of the documents he submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which included his WASSCE result, BSc certificate, and birth certificate.

The results Sowole shared showed he failed the majority of the courses he took, with a credit in Mathematics and a pass in Agricultural Science.

The result quickly spread across various social media platforms, and Nigerians were expressing their opinions on his performance.

A Facebook user @Simon Utsu wrote,

“Na wa oh. See Omoyele Sowore waec result. F9 flowing like milk 🥛 & honey 🍯 everywhere. He barely credited Mathematics. Agba Jalingo, na this dangerous result your man wan use rule Nigeria? If I wrote waec from primary school, I would have done better than this. Ha!”

Well, in an updated post explaining the reason for his poor performance, Sowore revealed he took a “second stab at WASCE at a different high school before securing enough credits to gain admission into UNILAG”.

In his words,

“Yesterday I uploaded my education credentials meant to be submitted to INEC Nigeria today as nominations close for Presidential candidates running in the 2023 Presidential Election.

Many have asked why I performed so woefully in my first attempt at the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASCE), well, it was how it ended after that first attempt.

I did state that I took a second stab at WASCE at a different high school before securing enough credits to gain admission into the university.

I just couldn’t give up until I made it and got admitted into UNILAG in 1989 to study Geography and Planning. In fact, my late dad demoted me by asking that I go back to “Class 4″ after that woeful result I posted yesterday. After securing admission into UNILAG I had to combine the two results to get matriculated.

I appreciate the engagement provoked by sharing my not-too-good WASCE/GCE result yesterday.

Nigerian singer and proud father of three, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has spent a fortune on a luxury timepiece for his 2-year-old son, Ifeanyi.

The music executive is known for lavishing his children with love, gifts, and affection, and he most recently spent $320,000 on an Audemars Piguet watch for his little boy.

Davido took to his Instagram stories to show off the luxury timepiece. Sharing a photo of the watch, he bragged that his son is now the youngest to own an AP luxury watch.

“Baby Ifeanyi joins the AP community @2”, He wrote.

In other news, the leaders of the Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU have said its members are not beggars and hunger won’t force them to call off their strike.

ASSU has been on strike since February 14 following the failure of the Federal government to meet their demands. After the expiration of the one-month warning strike they embarked on in February, the union announced another eight-week strike before it eventually commenced its indefinite strike.

The ASUU President, Prof Emmanuel Osodeke, in a statement released commended members of the union for not backing down from the strike despite the no work, no pay policy by the Federal government.
