Billionaire heiress and entertainer, DJ Cuppy has revealed the extreme measure she took to ensure she completes her thesis.
The singer who is taking a Masters Programme in Oxford University, is currently writing her thesis and has been giving her followers update on the process.
She recently took a trip to Monaco and spent some weeks in her father’s luxury home in the European country to focus better on writing her thesis.
However on Tuesday, June 15, Cuppy who is back in London, shared a photo of the humorous step she took to ensure she focuses squarely on completing her thesis.
The 29-year-old singer attached a note on her back, telling people that she gets easily distracted so they shouldn’t talk to her because she wants to concentrate on her thesis.
“Please don’t talk to me. I don’t have self control and will talk to you for hours and will not get my thesis done”, she wrote.
A while ago, DJ Cuppy responded to an ageist who made a snide remark about her single status.
Cuppy had taken to Twitter to share photos she took at the London Fashion Week and asked if she could add “modelling” to her long list of talents.
However, a Twitter user snagged the opportunity to tell the entertainer to find a man soon because she’s getting old.

Reality TV star, Maria Chike, has revealed that she sought the services of a local medicine man after medical doctors couldn’t diagnose what was wrong with her leg although she felt excruciating pain in the leg.
The Big Brother Naija star revealed she had recently suffered a leg injury that left her with a broken knee, but the doctor had told her there was no cause for alarm, insisting nothing was wrong with the leg.
She revealed that when the pain persisted and became unbearable, she sought the service of the local doctor, who straightened her broken knee.
She shared a video showing the local doctor attending to her knee on her Instagram story and captioned it.
“I’ve never cried so badly in my life. He straightened my broken knee.”
Taking to her Twitter handle, she added,
“The doctor was wrong cause it was getting worse. So I got a local medicine man. And he put the bone back in. I wouldn’t wish the pain on my worst enemy. So more bed rest.”

Taking to the micro-blogging platform the man identified as Chuks declared that his driver motivates him because he is doing so well for himself.
According to Chuks, the driver is currently roofing his four-bedroom home, bought two additional plots, and seeking to buy a car to supplement his income.
“My driver dey motivate me, I won’t lie. Currently roofing his 4bedroom Bungalow, bought extra two plots join, looking to get a car he can use for town service any day we’re not going to work.” He wrote on Twitter.

This comes after the trending conversation on Twitter about how people find it difficult to repay borrowed funds despite begging to get it.

On Monday, June 13, Bishop David Oyedepo, speaking at a church service, accused the administration of being unconcerned about the wellbeing of residents, particularly students.
He said;
“Many children are out of school. There is nothing to pay to get them to school. We saw some folks in Covenant that we had to help out to graduate. N30,000, first class graduates can’t get the money under this wicked government, selfish, self-centered.
“What a fight against corruption. You were all deceived. You can’t be in corruption and fight corruption — the most corrupt regime in the history of Nigeria.
“You heard of auditor-general, N80 billion. All they need to pay for the universities to be up and running is less than N80 billion. Are they interested? Their children are not there.”
In response, Femi Adesina said that Oyedepo was “blinded by hatred for President Muhammadu Buhari,” he tweeted;

A Nigerian man has called out singer, Oluwatobi Wande Ojosipe, popularly known as Wande Coal, and his gang for allegedly assaulting his brother.
The young man simply identified as Folarin on Twitter claimed that Wande Coal and his gang assaulted his brother because his vehicle was in the singer’s way.
Folarin claimed that his brother was summoned to move his vehicle as he was reportedly blocking the singer’s way, and that as he approached the vehicle to move it out of Wande’s way, one of them smacked him. He said another punched him before he could make sense of the situation.
Taking to the micro-blogging platform to call the singer and his gang out, Folarin tweeted,

VGC Naked couple were under the influence of drugs – Neighbourhood’s Chairman of the landlords’ association
A strange occurrence was witnessed at the Victoria Garden City area of Lagos state on Sunday night, June 13, as a couple were seen walking around stark naked.
The video went viral on social media and it led to many speculations as netizen’s tried to figure out why the couple took on a rather bizarre adventure.
Chairman of the landlords’ association at the Victoria Garden City neighborhood where a couple was spotted walking around naked, has now given an update on the incident which occurred on Sunday June 12.
In his words;
On Sunday, on our close, at about 11 pm, the Vice-Chairman called my attention to an ugly situation whereby two adults; male and female were seen walking around the estate completely naked.
Our estate security and management personnel accosted them and accompanied them to our close (63) where the duo purportedly resided in a BQ. As the case may be, the situation soon got out of hand when both adults slit their wrists and necks in what seemed to be a suicide attempt, saying they would die and rise again in three days.
Further investigation of their BQ apartments revealed some items such as illegal drugs and other substances. They were obviously under the influence of some substances (drug abuse)
Thank God for the swift response of our management, security and medical team who eventually sedated the victims and took them to the hospital around 12.45am.
The girl is a full American that came in from the US in October to experience the 5th dimension with the guy. They got home and slit their wrists and necks and their door had to be broken down. The hospital said they were both on Colorado, Canadian Loud, aka Mkpuru Mmiri.

Singer Tems takes a break from music after being diagnosed with reflux laryngitis
Nigerian singer Tems is going to take a break from music after being diagnosed with reflux laryngitis.
In a post the talented singer made on Instagram, it was disclosed that she has postponed her upcoming shows in line with the doctor’s directive.
Reflux laryngitis is an irritation in the back of the throat due to acid or other chemicals that come up from your stomach. This usually happens at night when you’re asleep. Other terms for this problem include gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR), acid reflux, and chronic laryngitis.
“It breaks my heart to say this but there’s no other option for me.
I’m not feeling too good at the moment.
After my last performance, I was diagnosed with Reflux laryngtis and I have to take some time off to protect what’s left of my voice.
On the Doctors orders. I have postponed the two shows this week, the Birmingham show on the 15th and the first London show on the 17th.
The new dates for both shows will be announced tomorrow,” her post on Instagram reads.
Nigerian footballer Akeem Omolade found dead in his car in Italy days after complaining of pain in his legs
A 39-year-old Nigerian footballer, Akeem Omolade, was found dead in his car in Italy just days after complaining of pain in his legs.
The emergency services found the former Torino striker unresponsive in a Peugeot in Sicily’s capital Palermo on Monday, June 13.
Although the initial examination showed no obvious external injuries, the family of the deceased said the Kaduna-born player had complained of leg pains days before.
Akeem Omolade represented the Maroons in Serie A, Italy’s top flight, between 2001-2003, making five appearances in total. He also represented 11 other clubs in the country, including Treviso, Novara, and Reggiana, before his retirement in 2017.
Torino said in a statement:

In other news, the family and friends of a young Nigerian lady have been thrown into mourning after she was stabbed to death by suspected armed robbers in Anambra state.
The deceased, a 300-level student of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) identified as Chiamaka Mabel Okeke, was stabbed during a robbery attack at a Shawarma spot where she had been working due to the ASUU strike on Friday, June 10.
The Vice President of the Faculty of Arts Student Association (FASA), Comrade Chioma Kanu, who confirmed the incident, said Chiamaka succumbed to the injuries she sustained on Saturday, June 11 and has been laid to rest in her hometown in Uruokwe village in Enugwu-Ukwu.
Teacher arrested for allegedly raping a 12-year-old female student in Delta state
Men of the Delta State Police Command have arrested a secondary school teacher, Benjamin Job, for allegedly raping a 12-year-old student of the school.
It was gathered that Benjamin was apprehended by the Police on Tuesday, June 14, after the victim reported the incident to her mother.
The incident reportedly took place in a private school in Warri, Delta State, called Gavriela Schools.
A source who gave an account of what transpired said,
“Benjamin is an English teacher in Gavriella school here in Warri. He has been sexually harassing her, touching her boobs and all of that. When we found out, we went to report him to the school authority and they promised to sack him, but apparently, they didn’t.
This morning, her mom started perceiving an offensive smell from her and queried her, after much talking and questions she finally opened up and told her mom what happened.
She said the English teacher dragged her to the toilet from the stairs and forced himself on her. We had to go to the school to deal with him before arresting him, he’s currently in the custody of the police.”

Woman arrested for allegedly brutalizing her nephew over N100
A woman has been reported to the Abuja State Police Command for allegedly brutalizing her little nephew over N100.
A video shared online captures the moment the woman was confronted by some concerned residents who saw the bleeding child.
It was gathered that she sent the little boy on an errand and gave him N100 to buy an undisclosed item, however, he misplaced the said amount.
This aggravated the woman who unleased hell on the little boy and reportedly hit a bottle on his head.
An eyewitness claimed the woman was still threatening the child and ignored his bleeding head and only made attempts to take him to a hospital when she was confronted.
Another witness, who seemed to be acquainted with the woman and her nephew, said she constantly maltreats the little child and subjects him to dehumanizing punishments.

Gunmen invade Ogun church, abduct two worshippers (video)
Some unknown gunmen have reportedly attacked the Celestial Church of Christ in Wasimi, Ogun state, and abducted two worshippers.
The gunmen are said to have stormed the Celestial Church of Christ, Oshofa Parish, at Wasimi, Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State at 12 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, during a vigil.
The spokesperson of the Ogun state police command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the attack in a statement, identified the abducted victims as the Assistant Shepherd of the parish, Oluwaseun Ajose, and a Sunday school teacher, Agunro Ayobami.
The Daily Post reported that the pastor of the church, Oluwatomisin Ehuwaojomo, who confirmed the incident in a telephone conversation, revealed that the abductors called him and demanded a ransom of N50 million for the release of the two church workers.
Ehuwaojomo said he was not in the church when the incident happened.
“When my Assistant Shepherd called me almost two hours after they left, the kidnappers refused to speak with me twice. But on his third attempt, they spoke with me and demanded N50 million ransom. I told them that, I am a servant of God, nobody pays me a salary. I have spoken with the Ogun State Commissioner of Police. The command is on the matter.” He said.
Meanwhile, a Twitter user who claimed to be a member of the church claimed that the gunmen, whom he alleged are herdsmen, tortured a pregnant woman but left her behind because she couldn’t walk.
He also shared a video of youths in the community protesting over the attack.

SS3 student shot dead by gunmen in Benue state
A 17-year-old student, Charity Eze, has been shot dead by yet-to-be identified gunmen in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.
Charity was said to be an SS3 student of St. Monica Girls Secondary School, Otukpo, and was writing the ongoing West African School Certificate (WASC) Examination before her life was cut short.
It was gathered that she went outside to pack the clothes she hung to dry around 10:30 PM on Friday, June 10, at her father’s house on No. 38 Idikwu Road when she was gunned down.
The gunmen reportedly jumped into the compound through the fence and shot her in the forehead.
Her young sister, Rosemary, reportedly witnessed the agonizing incident and ran back into the house to relay what happened to their father but by the time they returned outside, the gunmen had already fled.
It’s not clear what the motive behind the killing was but the young lady was supposed to write her last paper on Tuesday, June 14th.
Spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Catherine Anene, confirming the incident said, “The death of the student is confirmed. It happened on Friday.”
According to reports, Hannah was killed by a client who patronized her service and his friends after they found the Quran underneath her pillow.
They were said to be aggrieved because she kept the Quran in a room where she carries out her sex work with different clients.

The other ladies however deviated from the question and said they can never marry a man from Abia state because they are too stingy, rude, proud and not caring to their wives.

In a social media post, the singer averred that only individuals who give money and do giveaways on a regular basis are considered good in Nigeria, even if they are responsible for the destruction of others.
He explained that this is due to the country’s high poverty rate.

Court sentences Abba Kyari’s co-defendants to two years in prison
A Federal High Court, Abuja, has convicted and sentenced two co-defendants in a suit filed by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) against suspended police boss Abba Kyari, to two years imprisonment.
The judge, Emeka Nwite, in a judgment, convicted Chibunna Umeibe and Emeka Ezenwanne on counts 5, 6 and 7 of the drug trafficking charge the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, preferred against them.
Nwite sentenced them to two years imprisonment on each of counts 5, 6 and 7.
Recall that the duo, who were arrested at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu while attempting to smuggle cocaine into the country, were on March 7 arraigned before the court alongside DCP Kyari and four other police officers- ACP Sunday J. Ubia, Insp. Simon Agirigba, Insp. John Nuhu, and ASP Bawa James.
Both Umeibe and Ezenwanne had upon their arraignment, pleaded guilty to the drug trafficking charge against them.
Though Justice Nwite initially deferred the case to review the facts of the case against them, the NDLEA notified the court on Tuesday that it had entered into a plea bargain deal with the two defendants through the Director of its Legal Department, Mr. Sunday Joseph.
As a result, Joseph persuaded the court to accept the provisions of the plea bargain agreement as the court’s ruling against the defendants.
Consequently, Justice Nwite, in his judgement, convicted and sentenced the two defendants to two years jail term on each of the three-count charge against them.
The court, which noted that the two defendants were remorseful, held that the sentence would run concurrently, commencing from the date they were arrested.
The court also held that the defendants should forfeit their international passports in accordance with section 30 of the NDLEA Act, Cap M30, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria.
In line with the plea bargain agreement, the court, approved Umeibe and Ezenwanne to testify as witnesses in the trial of DCP Kyari and the other accused police officers, even as it ordered the NDLEA to ensure their safety in any Correctional Facility of their choice.
It directed the NDLEA to constantly monitor the two defendants to ensure that they do not engage in any drug related criminal activity while serving their jail term.

Reno Omokri took to his Twitter page to state that if one doesn’t have anyone they can call when financially stuck, then they don’t have friends.

Heartbroken man commits suicide in Jigawa after his girlfriend got married to another man
A man who was left heartbroken and dejected after his girlfriend got married to another man has committed suicide at Kanti quarters in Kazaure Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
The 42-year-old man, identified as Ibrahim Adamu Mohd, was reportedly found dangling from a tree with a rope around his neck on Sunday morning, June 12.
Following investigation, it was discovered that he is from Gayawa village in Ungogo LGA of Kano State and travelled all the way from Kano to Jigawa to end it all.
A wedding invitation and two SIM cards were found in his possession, and it was gathered that the invitation card was that of his girlfriend.
When his family was contacted, they confirmed that he committed suicide because he was heartbroken by his girlfriend’s marriage.
Meanwhile, Ibrahim’s corpse has been deposited at a morgue in the Kazaure council area.

Although doctors had first verified that she was pregnant, the new mother, who had been married for two years and was trusting God for the fruit of the womb, admitted that she had no idea the baby was developing in her stomach and not in the womb.
She said a couple of weeks into the pregnancy, she started having tummy cramps, so she went to the hospital, where the doctors requested that she have a scan.
At the first scan clinic she visited, she was told that her womb was empty and there was no baby inside. Instead, they said she had multiple fibroids.
Veronica said that, with advice from doctors to go for further tests, she visited about five more hospitals, and they all confirmed that she was actually pregnant. She noted that while she was glad that she was pregnant, she was worried because she was always in pain.

A Nigerian man, identified simply as Ransome, has shared a screenshot of the messages he received from a debtor he loaned N1.5 million.
This comes after the trending conversation on Twitter about how people find it difficult to repay borrowed funds despite begging to get it.
Ransome joined in the conversation and revealed that he borrowed a lady N1.5 million and she is now threatening to not pay him back because he involved her mother.
In the screenshot he shared, the lady said she would stop the efforts she’s making to raise the money to repay him if he calls her ‘sick’ mother again.
