Social media users have reacted to the alleged price of the Aso-ebi material sold for the traditional wedding of Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic.

It can be recalled that the 46-year-old thespian tied the knot traditionally with her boo, Fidelis Anosike, on Tuesday, April 19, in her hometown in the eastern part of Nigeria.
Old and new Nollywood actors and actresses, including Ini Edo, Joke Silva, Uche Jombo, Idia Aisen, and others, showed up and showed out for her at the ceremony, and photos of their beautiful outfits have flooded the internet.

In a new update, the cost of the stunning green George material has now been shared online by Instagram gossip blogger, Cutie Juls.
According to the blogger who shared this information on Wednesday, April 21, the outfit cost a whooping sum of N150,000 per person.
The post reads:
“Asoebi was N150k
Stephanie bought but I was looking forward to her presence.. or did I miss?
Genevieve and Omotola too. But above all, Nollywood showed maximum love to Riri.
Was so much looking forward to see especially Genevieve in that Asoebi.”

This has stirred mixed reactions online as netizens debate over the price and argue that it is too expensive for that price.
Some also shared their thoughts on the cost price of the material if it was gotten directly from the market. While others opined that the guests probably received souvenirs worth the extra cost paid on the outfit.
See some reactions below,

However, an Instagram user disputed the alleged price and claimed that it actually cost N80,000 for the women’s outfit while men paid N70,000.

As at the time of filing this report, both prices have not been confirmed.
Singer, Music Executive, Actor and Politician, Olubankole Wellington, popularly known by his stage name Banky W, has talked about Wizkid and his contract situation during his time with Empire Mates Entertainment.

Banky was a guest on the #BlackBoxInterview Easter Special hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and he revealed that he is incredibly happy to have had an impact of Wizkid’s career and till today, they still have a great relationship.

Banky then opened up on the almost-scandalous way Wizkid exited the music label and he said a lack of communication almost caused a war. He added that at the time Wizkid was beginning to envision a dream bigger than what the label might have had for him and Wizkid wanted to be in control of his own destiny.
Banky said ;
I called him one day and I said let’s talk, I told him that I am hearing too many things and you and I have a relationship where we can just talk about things. Tell me what you want, if you want to be off the label, I will never be the kind of person that would try to prevent you or sue you. Wizkid was right on the cusp of going bigger international. Wizkid then opened up and he feels like he wanted to set up his own outfit and do things his own way.
I said okay, if that’s what he wants, he’d get my full blessing. I will never try to tie you down or nothing like that.
Ebuka asked Banky the number of albums Wizkid had agreed to have with E.M.E as per contractual demand, Banky replied ;
I think it was a 5 album deal and he had done 2 solo albums… I think he still owed 3 more albums but he wanted to leave

A Lagos-bound passenger, identified simply as Mama Tobi, has slumped and died while waiting to board her flight at the Abuja airport.

The unfortunate incident occurred on Tuesday, April 19, at the domestic wing of the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport (NAIA), Abuja.
The deceased, who is reportedly diabetic, slumped in the boarding area for her flight to Lagos as a result of high blood pressure, and it is alleged that there were no medical personnel on ground to attended to her.
A lawyer who was present at the time of the incident, took to Facebook to disclose that the woman died in his hands and blamed the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) for her death.
Taking to social media, the lawyer, Felix Ashimole wrote,
“Where is the money they claim was sunk into renovating the airport into world standard? For 13 minutes, no FAAN medical personnel. She died in my hands and few others. A medical doctor on his way to Kano tried but as he finally said, “we lost her.
But she would’ve been saved, had FAAN provided basic insulin. She was diabetic. Her sugar went high; She entered coma; No medical attention; She saw the light and moved towards it. We kept calling her, Mama Tobi, Mama Tobi, don’t leave us, wake up, Good morning but saliva trickled down, foams bubbled and I knew she had seen a better place and wouldn’t be coming back!
“FAAN and the entire airline staff on ground were stupidly acting as if è no concern them. They kept announcing boarding and NEVER USED their speaker to ask if there is any medical personnel on ground. Finally they brought an ambulance from their fire fighting department, to take her corpse away! Good night Mummy Tobi. Your country and countrymen, failed you.”

It was gathered that the corpse of the woman was taken to the NAF Medical Centre located at the airport.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of FAAN, Faithful Hope-Ivbaze, denied reports that FAAN didn’t respond swiftly to help the woman.
“Our doctors were there. We are not happy it happened. We regret it happened but God knows the best in every situation.” she said.
She went on to sympathize with the family of the deceased and prayed that that God grants them the fortitude to bear the loss.

“What is the African version what is the African equivalent of these proverbs. Please tell me below, because una crase dey do press up! You aren’t African except in location! You don’t practice anything African except the small language u speak! Your holy land is Jerusalem and Mecca! Your most valuable possessions are you European thoughts and things! In other news, Seun Kuti has advised parents to begin sex education with their children at a young age.
The father of one, who gave this advice in a post shared via his Instagram page, said it’s high time parents stopped shying away from conversations about sex with their kids and taught their children about sex.
According to him, everything in Nigeria today is centred around sex, from images to songs that these children are exposed to.
He went on to say that 14-year-olds had sex in his generation, so it’s no surprise that the age for youngsters in this generation has plummeted.
Nigerian businesswoman and model, Tania Omotayo, has revealed that majority of the Nigerian boys she knows were dis-virgined by their nannies.

The mother of one made this disclosure while speaking with actress, Stephanie Coker, on her podcast “Me, Her and Everything Else”.
The duo had a conversation about the increasing reports of sexual abuse and rape in both boarding and day schools in the country, and the tactical steps parents can take to tackle the menace.
Tania, who hinted that she attended a boarding secondary school, disclosed that 95% of her male friends were deflowered by either their nannies, other home staff or aunties.
According to her, it’s really sad because majority of these boys were not aware that they were being sexually abused, and thought it was normal to be touched by their abusers.

Speaking further, Tania advised parents to sexually educate their children and let them know that it’s wrong for any adult – either male or female – to touch their private parts.
Her words,
“Almost every boy, maybe 95% of the boys I know from Nigeria were disvirgined by their nannies, or staff or aunties. But that’s also because they are not educated about it, they don’t know… they think it’s normal, they think it’s okay, so it’s up to you as a parent to tell your kids that it’s not okay for an adult to touch you down there.. it’s not okay for anyone, either male of female.”

President Buhari has given a self-appraisal of his administration.
According to the President, his Administration has done well despite the limited resources at its disposal.
Buhari said this at the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC), which held in Abuja.
In his words;
“I will like us to reflect on what the situation was before we came in. How many Local Government Areas were under the control of terrorists in the North-East? In the South-South, we all know what the situation was; now we have relative peace. With the resources at our disposal, we have done very well.
People are very forgetful. Our main problem now is in the North West and North Central. People are killing one another in these places, what for? We are going to be very tough.’’
In related news, the President mourned the tragic passing of two officers in a Nigerian Air Force plane crash in Kaduna.

I have said this many times but many of your girls won’t listen to me. Stop dating broke men, many of you won’t listen.
I don’t care if this video looked staged or real. I am only concerned about the interpretation of this video which simply means you should work for your own money or never date a child like this guy in this video. Date a mature guy with many cash not the boy.
