A Nigerian man has taken to Twitter to raise alarm after a baby was dumped in front of his house in the Abule Egba area of Lagos state.
According to the man identified as, Josh Euronaire the baby must have been dumped at midnight as he found the child at his door when stepped out in the morning.
He asked for help in locating the child’s mother or anyone that knows the child.
Sharing a video of the baby, he wrote, “Someone dumped this beautiful baby in front of my house, probably in the midnight…Somebody that lives with the mother would recognize the child…”
He added that anyone with information about the family of the baby should contact the Aboru police station at Abule Egba, Agbelekale.

According to @Uzochukwukwalu2, he boarded the bike in the early hours of Tuesday, March 8, and paid the bikeman N1000 for the ride but he didn’t have change.
He said the bikeman offered to come back and pick him from the same place after his meeting since the N1000 was still in his possession.
The man said he had already concluded that the bike man would run away with his money, but was shocked to see that he returned.

ACADEMIC Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has extended its warning strike for another two months.
The decision to extend the strike was taken at the union’s National Executive Council, NEC meeting held in Abuja last night.
Although the union has not made any public statement regarding the outcome of the meeting, a source told Vanguard that members resolved at the meeting held in an undisclosed location that the industrial action is extended for two more months.
The outcome of the meeting, the source said, was being drafted to be released in a statement to the media soon.

A 24-year-old man identified as Chukwuka Igbonekwu allegedly took his own life by drinking ‘Sniper Insecticide’ in Asaba, Delta State.
The incident happened on Saturday, March 12, at Dr. Ambrose Okereke street, behind Stephen Keshi Stadium.
According to reports, the young man who was living with his longtime girlfriend, was set to marry another woman on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.
A source in the street who spoke to Punch on Sunday, said ;
“There was a fight between late Igbonekwu and his girlfriend on Thursday, March 10, 2022, after much quarreling and fighting, we decided to enter their room to enquire what was the problem.
“The lady who has been living together with him over the years until his death said that the fight was as a result of the late Chukwuka wanting to leave her for another lady,” the source said.
“When we asked the deceased what was the issue, he said that he and the girlfriend are related and also both of them are the same AS genotype and therefore cannot marry.
“After the fight, they reconciled again and later we saw both of them coming out from a shopping mall and going home on Friday.
“Towards evening, the girlfriend raised alarm calling people that the late Chukwuka drank sniper, so immediately he was rushed to the hospital in Okpanam. The lady called the wife-to-be and she met them at the hospital, unfortunately, he died Saturday morning.
“They brought his corpse to the compound, after a while the family came and took the body together with the wife-to-be and the so-called girlfriend to the village without reporting to the police.”

Veteran Nollywood actor, Fabian Adibe has opened up on why he left the movie scene as he lamented over being abandoned by producers he made money for during his active years.
According to the revered actor who is over 70 years old now and has been off screen for 12 years, he was grossly underpaid as an actor and producers still wanted him to do a package deal where he would act in a movie for free.
When asked how much he was paid as a veteran, he said he was paid between N10,000-30,000 then and some filmmakers felt they were over-paying him.
Speaking in a video interview with journalist, Chinelo Okafor, Pa Adibe also disclosed that people in the Nigerian movie industry have never contacted him to check on his well being.
He said in part,
“Now, they should be paying N100,000. There was a time they paid N10,000 or N20,000 with all the stress, then they will tell you that it’s too much.
“None of those Onitsha traders that are in this nollywood has ever called me or asked where is this man.
“We are talking about AGN, some of my friends used to call me though they find it difficult to come because they are in Lagos.

A video of a Nigerian Army officer weeping profusely and begging for the forgiveness of his superior has surfaced online.
The officer was reportedly caught by his superior while collecting bribe from motorists on a highway and was asked to hand over the bribe but he initially hesitated.
In the trending video, the soldier who said he has been in the Nigerian Army for 31 years, is seen crying profusely as he went on his knees to beg his superior not to collect the money.
He eventually surrendered the money but said amid tears that he has suffered a lot in the Nigerian Army.

Media personality, Daddy Freeze, has disagreed with actress Genevieve’s stance on the root cause of mental health issues.
It was earlier reported that Genevieve opined that mental health is more spiritual than physical, and advised people to rededicate their lives to the God they are serving.
Reacting to her statement in a post shared on his Instagram page, Daddy Freeze countered her statement and said having a large number of followers on social media doesn’t make one’s opinion correct.
According to him, it’s her kind of statements that makes people take mad people to churches for prayers, instead of checking them into a psychiatric facility.

A dispatch rider in Lagos State has been apprehended after a baby was allegedly found inside his courier box.
According to viral reports, the rider was nabbed with a baby in his courier box on Friday, March 11, at the Sangotedo Area of Lagos state.
A video of the incident that found it’s way to the internet showed the rider being assaulted by an angry mob who later dragged him to a police station.
One of the people in the background was heard saying, “This is the child that was abducted.”
The state police command is yet to comment on the incident.

A Nigerian Twitter user has revealed she was recently denied entry into a restaurant in Lagos because of how she was dressed.
The lady, a chef identified on the micro-blogging platform as @Chefobudu who donned a short yellow dress to a restaurant said she was told by the receptionist that she was violating the restaurant’s dress code.
“Apparently I’m violating the restaurant dress code, so they didn’t let me in.” She captioned a photo of herself.

Speaking in an interview on GTV’s Breakfast show with Kafui Dey, Kafui Danku debunked claims made by some critics on social media that she purposely married an older man for his wealth and not out of love, as she claims.
The mother of two stated that she had dated men who are of her age in the past but in most cases nothing substantial came out of it, hence her decision to settle with Kojo Pitcher, her husband.
Kafui described her marriage with Kojo Pitcher as a blessing even though people claim she only married him because of his wealth. She added that these unflattering comments about her marriage doesn’t get to her because of how she was raised.
A Yaba magistrate court sitting in Lagos state has ordered that Andrew Nice, the BRT driver arrested in connection with the adduction and murder of 22-year-old passenger Bamise, be remanded in prison for 30 days.
Andrew has been charged with the kidnapping and murder of Bamise, a 22-year-old fashion designer who boarded the bus he was driving on February 26 and was subsequently discovered dead.
Late Bamise had on the said day entered the bus around Chevron estate in Lagos and was heading towards Oshodi. She was however suspicious of the activities on the bus. She alerted her friend and gave out the number of BRT bus she boarded. Days after she went missing, she was found dead on Monday, March 7.
Andrew Nice, who went into hiding after the abduction, was arrested and is now being investigated. He was arraigned on Friday, March 11.
Magistrate Omobabalola Salawo ordered that Andrew be remanded for 30 days following an application by the police. The suspect is to remain in custody while the police continue to investigate the case.
