Nigerian woman gives birth to twins after 20 years of waiting
A Nigerian woman, identified as Jane Maduabum, and her husband have welcomed a set of twins after 20 years of waiting.
The excited mother conceived and gave birth to the double bundles of joy last year, twenty years after welcoming her first child with her husband.
The children – a boy and a girl – were dedicated in their church in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Sunday February 27.
Friends and family of the couple have taken to social media to celebrate the goodness of God in their lives.
“Celebrating one of our own Jane Maduabum whom God has blessed with twins after 20 years of waiting on the Lord. God is indeed faithful.” One of her friends wrote.
A while ago, another couple, Deacon & Mrs Michael Nnamdi Nwankwo, welcomed riplets after 25 years of marriage.
The new parents dedicated the triplets – two girls and a boy – at the Assemblies of God Church located in Ojodu, Lagos state, on Sunday, February 20, 2022.
The church took to their official Facebook page to share the testimony with their followers.
“AMAZING TESTIMONY @ AGC OJODU. After 25 Years of waiting, the family of Deacon & Mrs.Nnamdi Nwankwo today dedicated their triplets… What a mighty God we serve!!!” they wrote.

Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke better known as Davido, has praised the culinary skills of the mother of his son, Chioma Avril a.k.a Chef Chi.
It can be recalled that the singer proposed to Chioma in 2019 and they were expected to get married in 2020, but the wedding never took place for reasons best known to them.
Following the delayed marriage, there were speculations that the duo were no longer an item and several rumours made rounds about their relationship.
At some point, the ‘omo baba olowo’ was rumored to be dating an American model named Mya Yafia, which further solidified the reports that he was no longer with Chioma.
However, they never confirmed nor denied reports of their separation.
Well, in recent times, the couple seems to be getting closer as they were spotted together at an event held few weeks ago.
This time, the 29-year-old singer took to the comment section of a post Chioma shared on her official Instagram page and hailed her culinary skills.
He commented, “The world’s greatest Chef”.

Man marries identical triplets in Congo (photos)
A man is currently trending on social media after he tied the knot with three sisters on the same day.
The 32-year-old man, identified as Luwizo, married the three identical triplets identified as, Natalie, Nadege, and Natasha in Congo.
Afrimax English reports that Luwizo first met one of the sisters, Natalie on Facebook and he fell in love with her after they chatted for a while.
He decided to meet up with her and she introduced him to her sisters, Nadege and Natasha, and they fell in love with him too.
Since the triplets are inseparable, they chose to marry the same man.
Speaking on how they managed the situation, one of the triplets said, “When we told him he had to marry all of us, he was shocked. But because he had already fallen in love with all of us, nothing could stop our plans since we were also in love with him.”
“Even though people considered it impossible for three women to share one husband, to us, sharing everything has been our life since childhood.” She added.
Luwizo said although his parents didn’t approve of his decision and decided not to attend his wedding, he has no regrets.
In his words,
“You have to lose something in order to gain another. In addition, one has their preferences and their own way of doing things. So I’m happy to marry the triplets no matter what others think. My parents despised my decision and that’s why they didn’t attend my wedding. But all I can say is love has no limits.”
The triplets brides said, “Today we are very happy, as you can see, because our dreams come true without being separated by husbands, but God heard our prayers.”
One of the triplets, Natalie explained that, he wasn’t able to differentiate them, so they ended up falling in love with him.
“At first, when we told him that he has to marry all of us became a puzzle to him. But because he had already fell in love with all of us. Even though people consider it impossible for three women to share one husband but to us sharing everything is our life since our childhood.” She said.

In the 18-seconds video, a woman presumably of high class is seen receiving greetings from another woman while her security detail (a police officer in uniform) held a plate of food and followed closely behind.

Big Brother Naija star, Omashola Oburoh, has shared a video of his mum bathing his newborn son like a typical Nigerian mother.
The reality star’s mum is currently in South Africa for “Omugwo”—Omugwo is a traditional Igbo custom for postpartum care.
Sharing the video of his mum giving her grandson a good bath and massage, Omashola revealed that this was a dream come true as she had anticipated this day for so long.
“Seeing my Mom with my son is a combination of emotions I can’t explain. “ Shola do make you marry born make I come South Africa come carry your pikin o” her prayers over the years. Dreams really do come true”, He wrote.

“What about the men?” – Governor Ayade’s aide questions why ‘society focuses attention on women when marriages fail to produce children’
Andrea Ekeng Inyang, the special assistant on strategic communication to Cross River Governor Ben Ayade, has questioned why only the woman is blamed when a marriage fails to produce children.
He noted that society shouldn’t always conclude that the woman is the one with the problem since it takes two people to produce an offspring.
He advised that a husband and wife waiting for the fruit of the womb should go for tests, checkup and treatments and not the woman alone.
In his words,
“When a marriage fails to produce a child, our society focuses their attention on the women. What about the men? Because it takes two fertile, compatible and meting being to produce an offspring. It shouldn’t be the woman alone going to the hospital for test, checkups and treatments, they men too should be made to undergo such. With what I see men drink and do to their system these days, I think they should even be made to undergo testing first before the women”.

Teacher arrested for allegedly raping a 6-year-old pupil in the school toilet (video)
A teacher of Royal Children School, Asaba, Delta state, has been arrested for allegedly raping a 6-year-old pupil in the school toilet.
The minor’s relative took to social media to share the heart-wrenching report on Tuesday, March 1, and disclosed that the victim is badly injured in her private part.
According to @myhairven on Instagram, the teacher allegedly threatened to kill the little girl if she reports him to anyone.
She wrote,

She was badly injured and scattered down there 😡😭
I am heartbroken 💔 the school is trying to cover up the matter.

My niece is just 6 years old 💔😭😭

President Buhari jets out to London for another medical checkup
Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari is set to jet out to London, United Kingdom, for his routine medical checkup that will last for a maximum of two weeks.
This was relayed in a statement released by the special adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, where he disclosed that the president will leave Abuja on Tuesday March 1st, to participate in the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP@50), scheduled for 3rd – 4th March, 2022 in Nairobi, Kenya.
He said the President will deliver the National Statement of the country and participate in High-Level Dialogue Sessions on the Environment at the event he was invited to by Kenyan president, Uhuru Kenyatta.
Femi Adesina said from Kenya, President Buhari will proceed to London for his routine medicals that will last for a maximum of two weeks.

Relationship coach, Blessing Okoro, has weighed in on the trending discussion on social media on whether it’s a man’s duty to give a lady transport fare after a date or not.
The argument started after influencer Ada revealed in a viral video that she doesn’t like hanging out with young boys because they don’t give transport fare after a visit or date.
Based on her viral video, she was invited on a podcast to expound on why she is very particular about collecting transport fare from guys when they go on a date. Again, Ada said, ladies spend a lot of money preparing for the date, so it’s only fair for the guys to reimburse them.
Reacting, the self-styled relationship expert noted that it’s a man’s responsibility to give a woman transport fare after taking her on a date.
According to her, it shouldn’t even be a topic of debate as only “boys” would have a problem with giving a woman transport fare after hanging out with her. She added that it shows a level of responsibility, protection, and security.

Man mistakenly stabs his mother to death while fighting with his wife in Niger
Men of the Niger state police command has arrested a man for mistakenly stabbing his mother to death at Zawiyya Tudunwada in the Kontagora area of the state.
According to reports, the man was engaged in a scuffle with his wife when his mother stepped in between them to break up the fight.
It is alleged that he grabbed a knife and tried to stab his wife, but mistakenly stabbed his mother who was trying to separate the fight instead. She reportedly died instantly from the stab wounds.
After news of his mother’s death got out, police arrived at the scene and arrested the man.

The suspect was arrested following a distress call received by the policemen attached to Odeda divisional headquarters that while the little girl was playing around in her parent’s compound, the suspect took advantage of the inattentive of her mother who was busy frying (garri) cassava flakes and stylishly took the little girl after which he started running away with her.
A passerby, who noticed the suspicious movement of the suspect called the attention of the mother who then raised alarm.
Upon the distress call, the Dpo Odeda division, CSP Femi Olabode quickly mobilized his men in conjunction with so safe corpsmen and moved to the scene. The suspect was chased to the bush where he was arrested and the child rescued from him.

Popular actress and entrepreneur, Mercy Aigbe has taken to social media to lament bitterly after being trapped in Lagos traffic.
In the now-deleted post, the mum of two wondered how one is supposed to be productive at anything when one spends hours in traffic.
According to her, living in Nigeria is very frustrating because nothing is working. She said there is no stable electricity, fuel scarcity is the order of the day and the road network is bad.
Taking to her Instagram page, the thespian wrote,

Nigeria is frustrating jare! No fuel, NO Power, No good road, the list is long!!! I Mean nothing! Nothing!”

Nollywood actress, Kemi Lala-Akindoju, has reacted to the underwear policy issued to female students by a Nigerian polytechnic.
Reports made rounds last week that the management of Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku, has declared a ‘no bra, no entry; no pant, not entry’ policy for female students.
A video of female students standing outside the school gate after they were denied entry into the school for allegedly not wearing underwear also circulated on social media.
It was gathered that security officials were stationed outside the school gate to check if the female students complied with the new policy.
Reacting, Lala Akindoju took to her Twitter page to criticize the school, stating that the policy is ‘ridiculous’.
She then asked if the school are also checking if male students wear underwear as well, or if the ‘madness’ is targeted at female students alone.
She tweeted,
“So this Nigerian university and their no bra/no underwear policy for female students- is it that they don’t see the ridiculousness of it? Also did they check that all male students were wearing underwear?.Or the madness is only targeted at women.”

Instagram comedian, Nosa Afolabi, popularly known as Lasisi Elenu, has lost his mother, Grace Afolabi, to the cold hands of death.
Taking to his Instagram page on Tuesday, March 1, the Lasisi revealed that his mum died after a prolonged illness.
In a lengthy tribute to his late mother, the actor said she was his biggest supporter and he recounted how much she fought to stay alive until she finally lost the battle.
“So this is truly how it feels to lose someone so precious to you. This is the saddest moment of my life.
With so much pain and a heavy heart I say Rest In Peace Mummy. “ Madam Grace Osaivbie Afolabi” is gone!! You were my biggest fan. You laughed to the littlest things i did or said, even after you couldn’t control your laughs, there were still so many things I knew “Yeah this would naturally make Mummy laugh”
Damn you were strong, too strong, You fought sickness for so long. You fought and gave all you could. The world was so unfair to you for so long, You battled illness for too long. Times you ought to have spent in joy and celebration with your family, you spent fighting for your life.
No one ever truly knows the pain we all go through individually even while fronting a smile to the public. Mama Itohan was a strong woman, she was sick for so many years and I lost her to death. “Damn you death” I wished she enjoyed life more, not in sickness and pain But in sound health. The last 1 month was too tough on YOU. YOU went through so much pain in the hospital and the last words YOU kept saying each time YOU managed to talk was “I want to go home”
I will miss YOU. You gave me so much memories, Growing up with you was like a movie. One that I have in time shared with the world and putting smiles on their faces. Mummy, even on your sick bed the world knew you, I made sure of that. I made sure to tell the world about you through my jokes and they LOVE YOU. even before you left us, all the years you have been sick in and out of the hospital the world knew you as Mama Lasisi, Mama Itohan, The strong and funny woman with the white towel that’s always about to fall loose. I will continue to make you proud Mama. Music executive, Davido, has sent a private jet to the United States to pick up celebrity jeweler, Benny The Jeweler, to deliver his jewelries to London.
The 30BG boss flew the jeweler on a private jet to London to deliver his luxury jewelries and new Richard Mille wristwatch to him ahead of his show at the 02 Arena.
The celebrity jeweler took to his Instagram stories to gush over what the singer had done.
“My brother sent his plane for me out to London, @Davido,” he wrote.
Sharing another video of him showing the private jet, he captioned it, “When I mean send his plane, this ain’t no charter.”
