Popular Nigerian Rapper, Emeka Akumefule, known professionally as Blaqbonez, has taken to his social media page to reveal the negative predictions people had about him when he started rapping.
Blaqbonez said he had an uncle who tried rapping at some point but lost his way, got hooked to drugs and later on ended in the village.
He added that when he started rapping himself, people predicted that he’d probably end up like his uncles but much to their disappointment, he’s proved them wrong.

A woman who reportedly disguised as a lesson teacher in Rukpakulus, Eliozu, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has allegedly abducted five children from the community.
It was gathered that the woman is presently at large and the police have begun a search action to find her.
According to reports, the children are from two families, aged between 18 months and four years.
Narrating how the children went missing, the mother of three of the victims, Rose Monday, said that her children were last seen after the mystery woman took them to buy notebooks. She added that their abductor was disguised as a teacher seeking to rent a makeshift structure in the area.
“I was at home when one of my children, who was playing with her siblings, came back alone. I asked her the whereabouts of her brothers and she said one aunty (woman) said she would bring them home.
“I asked where the woman took them to, but she replied that the woman took her to the Oil Mill Market to start taking them lessons and that she and the other children followed her.”
Monday’s 14-year old daughter, who was initially abducted by the mystery woman, said the suspect released her and their neighbour’s son at the market, but went away with five other children.
“I told the aunty that the small one (child) did not know how to write and the woman could go and buy the books. The woman said no, that she liked little children. As I followed her, she started watching me. When I returned the look, she smiled.
She now stopped a vehicle and all of us entered. When we got to Oil Mill, the woman kept me there and sat down. The woman now told me that she wanted to take the children to go and pick up something. So, I sat there for a long time. I then asked a girl operating PoS if she knew where the woman took the children to, and the girl replied that she didn’t know the woman,” she added.
The acting spokesperson for the state police command, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident.

A suspected kidnapper posing as a mentally-deranged man in Molete, Ibabdan, has died after he jumped off a bridge while trying to escape an angry mob.
It was learnt that the man was reportedly sighted receiving a package from unidentified persons in a private vehicle on the Molete overhead bridge on Tuesday, February 15.
An eyewitness told the Nigerian Tribune that an angry mob confronted the man after the vehicle zooned off, beat him and set him ablaze.
However, in an attempt to escape, the suspect jumped off the bridge and died from the injuries he sustained.
The eyewitness noted that the items received from the suspect included a N7 million cheque, iPhone and cutlass.
“I was in my shop under the bridge this afternoon when we suddenly saw the mentally-deranged man jump down from the bridge after he had been set ablaze by the mob. I didn’t know what transpired between them on the bridge but I saw him when he jumped down with fire burning on his body. The mob was seen pouring petrol on the victim while he was seen rolling in pain on the ground.
“I am not in support of jungle justice because we are not sure if anything suspicious was truly seen on him but the mob claimed a cheque of N7 million and iPhone was seen after searching his body.” the witness told Tribune.

A 53-year-old woman, Maxine Messam, has died after she was dumped outside a Bronx hospital following a reported botched butt enlargement procedure.
It was gathered that Messam became unconscious after she received butt injections. She was left at Jacobi Medical Center on Tuesday, February 15, after two unidentified women drove her to the hospital in her BMW SUV and walked off.
The unconscious woman was naked from the waist down with needle marks on her body and a foreign substance injected into her buttocks, the NYPD said.
The two unknown women who drove Messam to the hospital, told the medical staff they found her in distress asking for help at Woodlawn Cemetery and offered to help her, according to police.
Authorities were later called to the scene around 1:51 a.m. soon after Messam died. An autopsy has been ordered to reveal her cause of death, which is being investigated due to the suspicious circumstances.
“Everybody is really emotionally damaged at this point in time…I would like to say something but we don’t have all the details.” Messam’s son said.
A Nigerian man has taken to social media to recount his girlfriend’s priceless reaction when he gave her N10,000 cash years ago.
The young man identified as @Princeencore said he had gone to pay her a visit when he realized that she had run out of money and needed funds to attend her friend’s wedding.
He noted that she didn’t ask him because she knew he had spent so much money in that period. He then decided to surprise her with a sum of N10,000.

A new police report has revealed that suspected Nigerian fraudster, Hushpuppi paid N235, 120, 000 to the younger brother of disgraced police chief, Abba Kyari.
Kyari is currently in custody of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.
Recall he was suspended by the police last July for his alleged links to Hushpuppi following an indictment by the US Department of Justice after an FBI investigation.
In the report submitted to the Attorney-General of the Federation, it was revealed that a total of N279.120m was sent to Kyari’s younger brother’s bank account at various times from the cyber scam syndicate members -Efe Martins (lead coordinator), Sikiru Adekoya, Usman Ibrahim, and Hussaini Ala.
It read in part;
“Sikiru Adekoya has many times received money from Hushpuppi and Efe and has equally transferred money to Usman Ibrahim. Adekoya after initial denial of having any financial transaction with both Hushpuppi and Efe Martins eventually admitted receiving various sums of money through transfers into his Bank.
‘’However, he could not offer reasonable explanations of what the sums were meant for and what he did with the monies. The network of Hushpuppi Internet fraud syndicate consists of Efe Martins as the lead coordinator who through his company, Efe Martins Integrated Concept Ltd., has at various times transferred different sums of money to Sikiru Adekoya, Usman Waziri Ibrahim, Hussaini Ala.
“A junior brother to DCP Kyari is a major beneficiary of funds from the Zenith Bank account of Hussaini Ala from where he at different times received various sums totaling N218, 120, 000. He also received the sum of N44m in multiple transactions from DCP Abba Kyari.’’
The video of a female student proposing to her fellow female student in a secondary school has served rounds on social media.
In the viral video, a female student in school uniform can be seen shyly walking to the middle of a courtyard while other students who crowded the yard, watched and hailed her.

Nigerian music icon, Davido has fulfilled the promise he made to disburse N250 million to selected orphanage homes across the country.

Emeka Nwogbo, the teacher accused of beating a 19-month-old baby to death in a school in Delta state, has denied the allegation.
It can be recalled that Emeka and his mum, the proprietress of the school, were arrested following the death of a 19-month-old pupil at their school.
The victim’s mother, Gift Ohaeze, had alleged that her late son was beaten like a goat by three teachers at the school. She noted that Emeka gave her son 31 strokes of cane, which reportedly led to his death.
However, speaking to newsmen after a delegation of the state government visited the state police command today, Emeka said he flogged the late Obinna “like a baby”.
When asked why he beat the little boy, Emeka said Obinna was disciplined because he pushed another child.
“I did not kill the child, the child was not killed by my hand, I caned him as I’m supposed to flog a child, I flogged him as little as I can”, he said.
The state police commissioner, CP Ari Muhammed Ali, said a post mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death of the deceased child.

A 19-month-old baby, simply identified as Obinna, a pupil of Arise and Shine Nursery and Primary School in Asaba, Delta state, died on Saturday, February 12, after he was beaten by a teacher at the school.
Reacting to the death of the minor, actress, Oma Nnadi asked what kind of parents take their one-year-old to school.

Nyakeh Mohammed Fullah, a 22-year-old man, has been reported missing after he missed his flight and decided to travel by road.
Fullah’s friend, who took to Twitter to raise the alarm, said the young man traveled to Nigeria for a visa appointment as he intended to travel abroad for school. She added that he was to return to Freetown when his flight was canceled. Unable to pay money for it to be rescheduled, he decided to travel back home by road.
She also revealed that Fullah reached out to her, saying she should help with some funds to pay for his bus fare and that he intended to sell his phone.
According to her, nothing has been heard from him in over two months, which has made his family worried.
Sharing his photo, alongside screenshots of their last chat, she wrote,

A married man, identified as Andrew Lee Oscar, was reportedly beaten for allegedly asking the wife of a Delta state politician out on a date on Facebook.

Popular Nollywood actress, Sharon Ooja, has taken to social media to disclose that she won’t show off her man online, except they are married.
The “Skinny girl in transit” star made this disclosure on Snapchat while sharing her thoughts on the saga between American rapper, Kanye West and his reality show star ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.
The 30-year-old actress stated that people shouldn’t share details about their relationship/marriage on social media to prove a point to people that they are happy.
According to her, no matter how happy and exciting her relationship is, she won’t publicize her man on social media.

Popular media personality, Denrele Edun, has paid a visit to the graveside of his late friend and singer, Oluwabimpe Susan Harvey popularly known as Goldie.
It can be recalled that Goldie, who was a professional singer and Big Brother Africa star, passed away on February 14, 2013, at Reddington Hospital in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Nine years after her death, Denrele took to his Instagram page to pay an emotional tribute to her and shared photos from his visit to her graveside.
He wrote,

Hadiza Ibrahim, a female beggar, has been arrested after the sum of N500,000 and $100 were found in her possession in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
The spokesperson for the Federal Capital Territory Administration, Social and Development Secretariat, Shaka Sunday, who confirmed the development to Punch, said that the woman was in the agency’s custody at the Bwari area council.
According to him, Hadiza had yet to explain how she came by the money found on her.
“We caught the woman with $100 and N500,000. The lady is still in our centre in Bwari. She is undergoing profiling because she has not been able to give us all the relevant information and how she came about the money.” He said.
Meanwhile, actress, Chita Agwu Johnson, has asked people to stop encouraging ‘those terrorists in traffic claiming to be beggars’.
Chita likened these ‘beggars’ to ‘criminals’ and her reason for that is because of the fact that they foam the driver’s window side when the driver refuses to give them money.
In her words ;

A man has broken up with his girlfriend for sending him a Valentine message she allegedly copied online, instead of composing an original piece.
Screenshots of the WhatsApp conversation between the said man and his girlfriend is currently making rounds online.
In the chat, the lady sent him a message to celebrate him on Valentine’s Day, however when he responded, she wasn’t satisfied with his response and queried him for not adding love emojis to it.
In response, the man hit back at her for using only two emojis in her own Valentine message, which made her question why he was “acting up” on a day meant to be for lovers to celebrate their love.
The guy then fired back at her and called her out for allegedly copying the Valentine message she sent to him online. He added that he has always complained about her not being brilliant and she has now confirmed it by her action.
After going back and forth over the issue, the man disclosed that he was done with the relationship and seemingly blocked her on WhatsApp.
