A video of a young police officer hiding in a nearby shop after three of his colleagues were gunned down at a checkpoint in Enugu, has gone viral on social media.

The incident took place around 1:20 pm yesterday, February 10, at a police checkpoint near Lomalinda Estate by Maryland suburb of the Enugu South Local Government Area of the state.

Sharing the video, he wrote ;

In my life I have never seen a police man look this traumatized. This was happening in Enugu while the Ibadan attack was happening. 3 police men ended up dead, a woman and her driver kidnapped while stray bullet also touch another guy. Insecurity in this country is very scary!

A young Nigerian man known as Sonik Zak has taken to his Twitter page to narrate how his girlfriend dumped him because he resolved never to indulge in Yahoo-Yahoo (Internet fraud).

I remembered when I was dating this girl she bought me a gift on my birthday, when I opened it I saw a laptop and a modem. I was surprised when I saw them I had to ask her who are they for? She told me then reasons she bought them for me is cus she’s not happy with my salary and also I should start doing yahoo(scam) I told her I can’t do it she said if I didn’t do it she will end the relationship. To my surprise, she packed all her things out of my house including the birthday present she bought for me.

He then went on to advise young men never to indulge in cyber-crime because no matter how one sugarcoats it, yahoo boys are thieves.

Kings no matter the condition,never you indulge yourself in yahoo cus that ain’t hustle but manipulating others to make illicit money. No matter how you sugarcoat it, you a thief!!!

A video currently trending online shows a group of suspected Yahoo boys destroying their colleague’s mother’s house after he allegedly absconded with N30m they made from online fraud.

It was gathered that the incident happened in Okada, Edo state.

In the video, the young boys are heard saying they made the money that their colleague absconded with from “yahoo-yahoo” (internet fraud).

They further said that they had been waiting for him in Okada, Edo state, for days, but he has refused to come up with the money. They also told him to keep fleeing and vowed to track him down.

One of them who shared the video on social media wrote, “If you nor get money, nor put boy for aza work oooo, since last week I nor fit sleep, money don come you run with it”.

In other news, a three-year-old girl was allegedly brutalized by her teacher in school recently and her parents have reportedly refused to report the incident to the police.

Twitter user @JackFleet took to the micro-blogging platform to reveal that the child fainted from the beating she received from her teacher.

He also called on human rights activists to come to the child’s aid because she is traumatized by the incident. Read here.

A Nigerian man has taken to Twitter to celebrate a newborn baby whose family members claim was saying “Allah instead of crying.”

The man identified as @am_saleeem on Twitter, disclosed that he spotted a video of the child on WhatsApp and was in awe of the incident. According to him, he couldn’t breath after seeing the video as he was in extreme shock.

In the video, the child could be heard cooing but it’s unclear if he was saying “Allah” like his family members claim.

Sharing the video on Twitter, he wrote,

“Allahu Akbar! Indeed Allah Is Great.

I was shocked that i couldn’t breath when i saw this video on WhatsApp. A new born Baby saying “Allah” instead of crying.

In other news, a Bible was reportedly spared in a fire incident that occurred in Onitsha, Anambra state which destroyed and burnt cars beyond recognition.

A video of the rather unusual incident was shared online and has garnered mixed reactions on social media. In the video, a man lifted the Holy Bible which was slightly darkened by the smoke caused by the fire. Watch the video here

A Nigerian Man identified as Emeka, has taken to his social media page to go down memory lane to when his Father discovered that he watched pornographic movies with his laptop.

At the time, Emeka was a boarder ‘in a faraway land’ so the fastest way his Father could reach him was via email.

In the email he shared, his father revealed he was highly disappointed in him and he asked him who introduced him to buying sexual movies. The father also said the habit was satanic and warned him to completely desist from the act.

Sharing a screenshot of the e-mail, Emeka wrote ;

Exactly 13 years since my father sent me this email in the boarding school when he found out that i was watching porn with his laptop. I was too notorious as a kid.

A Germany-based Nigerian Lawyer has taken to his social media page to narrate how his lovely wife changed his life for the better.

According to the man, the fact that he is currently in Europe is solely due to his wife’s valiant effort to extend her scholarship offer to him when he was least expecting it.

The lovely story has garnered many retweets and the woman has received encomiums from other social media users

I met my girlfriend late 2018, I just finished NYSC, and good for me the law firm I served in retained me but my probation extended through to the end of 2018. During this period, my girl friend was earning 150% higher than my salary, and she knew. (I became aware of hers later)

2020, she got a two-year master scholarship to study in Europe and she was definitely not planning to come back to Nigeria. She encouraged me to apply for masters abroad too which I did and got several admissions without scholarship. When the news of her scholarship came,

I was happy for her, she applied for her visa and was waiting for her interview date and that was when I thought Omo, I needed to take the relationship to another level, so I asked her ‘would it be a good idea we get married before you leave so I could visit whenever we want ?’

At least, we thought marriage would be a good reason to approve a visit visa. And luckily she agreed and I started meeting her family members gradually. I was at work on a Monday and saw an email from the German embassy confirming receipt of my visa application I thought All these scammers have started, my girlfriend’s call followed asking if I received any email from the embassy I said yes o and she said I should start imagining myself in Europe. I almost cried. She told me later all she had to do to ensure that we leave together even without my knowledge, in her words, ‘I don’t know what will happen to us if she leave’s me behind’ one of the most risky things she did was tell the EU that gave the scholarship that she couldn’t leave without her husband, because we newly wedded and EU obeyed her and ensured that we traveled together same day. I’m in Europe today because of a kind woman (my wife @IAmDebbyBrown ) that not only believed in me and loved me but did all she could possibly do to show it. She went extra miles and I mean extra extra. Then I knew the power of a woman when she truly wants something.
