OAP, Moet Abebe laments the struggles of getting an apartment as a single lady in Lagos
Media personality, Moet Abebe has taken to social media to lament the struggles of getting an accommodation as a single lady in Lagos.
In a series of Instastory post, Moet wondered why single ladies are treated as second-class citizens and have to get a man to stand in for them.
She also questioned why landlords ask for a lady’s marital status before considering her as a tenant. According to her, it is really frustrating and she’s had enough of the patriarchy and discrimination.
The OAP further disclosed that it is worse for famous single ladies because landlords assume that she is promiscous and would be “throwing parties and orgies in their properties”.
Speaking further, Moet said a landlord once said he doesn’t give out his apartment to single ladies because her “sugar daddy might pay her rent this year but might not pay for the consecutive years”.

Some women would have been happier if the Bible had said the wife is the head of the husband – Clergyman, Mike Bamiloye
Clergyman and movie producer, Mike Bamiloye, has said that some women would have been happier if the bible had said that the wife is the head of the husband should not submit to him.
In a post shared on his Instagram page, he wrote that there are so many scriptures in the bible that some women would have loved to erase and one of them is the one that talks about submission.
His post reads ;
”Ephesians 5:22-24 NKJV
[22] Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
[23] For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.
[24] Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.

Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives,

Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
There are some portions of the Word of God that some women would wish were not in the Bible. If it were possible for them, they would have erased such portion from the entire Scriptures. But unfortunately, the entire Word of God is infallible and is settled far away in Heaven.
Therefore, such women chose to ignore the Scriptural instructions as though they were not existing at all.
Some women would have been happier if the Bible had said the Wife is the head of the husband, because of the way they behave in their homes. Some women in the Lord are actually the husband in their home. They must dictate the AFFAIRS of the home or there would be troubles. They call the shots. They do whatever they chose to do and their husbands must not object or there would be chaos. They are the husband in the home. They have reversed the instructions of the Word of God.
So many men of God are suffering in silence because of the stubbornness of their wives. The ministry would have scattered if they had insisted on using their authority in the home. They would agree with a lot of the foolish ideas and suggestions their wives would bring up and follow them with patience to preserve their ministry and for the sake of the church and congregation. They counsel other people’s home but theirs is in shamble in secret.
There is a class of female Ministers who never stayed at home with their husband. They travel everywhere, being hosted in many hotels and suits all over as they minister about, eating the best of sumptuous meals provided by their hosts while their husband stay alone at home manning the local church.
They could be away from home on ministrations for two or three months “Preaching” the gospel all over the world while their husband languish at home alone being fed by cousins, nephews or house maids. And when the husband attempt to stop them from moving or attempt to reduce their frequent “mission” trips, they would say he is killing their visions and suppressing their callings.
They would stand behind the pulpits and podiums introducing their sermons with a praise for their husbands: “I bring you greetings from my husband, the owner of my head. The payer of my dowries without whom I would not be here today. He sent his warm greetings ” , even while the man is suffering loneliness at home. Cold or hot the man is alone.
On many occasions when the man has ministrations on mission trips, the woman would not follow because she has her own trips too. So the man is left vulnerable at all times.
BUT WHEN THEIR IS A FALL AND IT IS MADE OPENED, FOR THERE ARE MANY SECRET FALLS, THE MAN WOULD BE AT FAULT. NO BODY BLAMES THE WOMAN! BUT GOD KNOWS THE SOURCE OF THE FALL. HE DOES NOT JUDGE AS MEN JUDGE.
Some married women in the Lord are fond of having their ways all the time. They never submit to their husbands. They never follow their husband. They are beautiful to behold in beauty, they smile all the time, they stand beside their husband in the church, but they are not who they claim to be. They are the direct opposite at home. Stubborn, rude, unbroken, disrespectful and very stingy with their body to their husband.
They dictate their terms to give their husbands access to their body. They are hard at home, but soft in the church. Very unsubmissive and insensitive. May God Almighty deliver men from such “Sisters”.
To all such sisters, listen to what the Lord God says in His Word:
Ephesians 5:24
Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.:
What are you going to do to this verse now? You can NOT erase it. You can’t wish it away from the Bible. You can NOT say God did not say it. The Lord God commands that a wife should submit to her own husband “in everything”.
Young and single brothers, watch out very well and open your eyes. Don’t let the Tantalizer or Mr. Biggs love cover your eyes. Pray and let the Holy Spirit be your guide.

Don Jazzy teach Nigerians another way to use the toilet after snakes were found in WC toilets
Popular music executive, Don Jazzy have taken to social media to share a video demonstrating another way to use the toilet.
This comes after a woman died after being bitten by a snake in her WC toilet. A video of the moment the huge black snake was removed from her WC was shared online, which has now put fear in the hearts of many Nigerians.
Reacting to the saga, Don Jazzy took to social media to state that he is looking for another way to use the toilet because it’s not funny any more.
He also posted a video of him trying out a different position on the toilet seat. In the video, the Mavin records boss stoop upright facing the toilet cistern, instead of sitting on the WC.
According to him, this position would make it easier to spot a snake inside the toilet.

16-year-old girl who accused her father of raping her in Port Harcourt retracts her accusation at police station, says ‘she was influenced by evil sprit’
There was drama at a Police Station in Port-harcourt, Rivers State after a teenage girl who earlier accused her father of raping her made a U-turn on her accusations.
According to human rights group, Centre for Basic Rights Protection And Accountability Campaign, the teenager reported her father to Chief Security Officer Of Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Mile 3 Diobu, Comrade Godstime Ihunwo on Tuesday, 22nd November that he has been raping her.
However, she made u-turn at the Human Rights Desk, Rivers State Police Headquarters, Moscow road when she told investigators and detectives that she was influenced by an evil spirit to accuse her father falsely.
In a twist she told the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Nnamdi Omoni who also doubles as head of Human Rights desk at the Police headquarters that she was influenced by an evil spirit to accuse her father falsely.
Her Father was granted bail based on the retraction of her first statement.

“I choose him” – Woman who landed in hospital after being brutalized by her fiancé says she will marry and stand by him against the world
A woman who had her face completely battered after she was beaten up by her fiancé has announced that she will stand by him and intends to go ahead with their wedding.
Amiracle Unique took to her social media page on September 27, 2021, to share a photo of herself in a hospital. She was battered beyond recognition, had a red swollen eye, broken lips, and bruises on her face in the photo.
She said she was beaten by her man and she did nothing to warrant the beating, except that she tried to enjoy herself.
However, two months after her face was redesigned, she has floutedd warnings from people and flown right back to the man’s arms.
She also said they will get married in September 2022.

Woman gives birth to first child at 50 following years of infertility
Congratulations are in order for a woman identified as Susie Troxler as she’s welcomed a child for the first time at the age of 50 after years of battling infertility.
Susie, a psychologist in High Point, North Carolina, gave birth to their daughter, Lily Antonia Troxler, on Sept. 29, 2021, after over 10 years of trying to get pregnant.
She and her husband, Tony Troxler, 61, will celebrate their first Thanksgiving this year as parents.
The Troxlers underwent several rounds of IVF, but after not being able to produce a viable embryo, they turned to egg donation.
Susie Troxler underwent the first embryo transfer in late 2019, but it did not take. Several months later, in spring 2020, the coronavirus pandemic emerged in the United States and put their plans for a family on hold for nearly one year due to pandemic restrictions.
Earlier in 2021, the Troxlers decided to try their last viable embryo, a frozen embryo, which they considered to be their last chance.
Several weeks later, they learned Susie was pregnant.
“I don’t even have words for it,” she said of her reaction to the pregnancy.
“It was amazing and surreal,” Tony Troxler said of learning he would be a first-time dad.

Wizkid’s summer hit song ‘Essence’ with Tems was nominated for ‘Best Global Music Performance’, and his album ‘Made in Lagos’ was nominated for ‘Best Global Music Album’.

Baba Suwe died on Monday, 21st November, 2021 and there have been talks that he (Baba Suwe) never got back to him self after his ordeal and wrongful accusation by the NDLEA

63-year-old Nigerian pastor allegedly marries an 18-year-old choir member as second wife
A 63-year-old Nigerian pastor, Apostle Peter Tom Udofia, has allegedly married an 18-year-old choir member of his church as second wife.
The clergyman, said to be the General Overseer of the Way of Salvation Church of Jesus Christ, Calabar, reportedly tied the knot with his new bride, Sister Blessing Jeremiah Esu in Ikot Akpang Ikpong, Abak Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, on October 16, 2021.

Amara, who seemed upset by the conversation, insisted that she is not a “sin” because she’s a lesbian. According to her, it’s not her fault that she’s in Nigeria where people are judgmental.
Sharing the video on her IG page, Amara wrote,
“Yesterday the woman who birthed me and I had one of the most difficult conversations we’ve ever had.
At the end, it was clear I should stop coming to hers if I didn’t want to feel like a sin, or be told that I am a sin.
She said people laugh at her when she walks down the street and I must be a selfish child to not think of my family and how my choices causes everyone pain. I was able to tell her repeatedly “Mummy I am not a sin, I am not the reason you are hurting, you are hurting because Nigerians are judgemental and you won’t pick me, your child”
She said she can’t pick me nor support me. said she just can’t. until I stop being a lesbian she can’t be proud of me. she can’t be happy with me. she said of all her problems, I’m the number one. that I’m causing her so much pain and she cries because of me. said her god will fight her enemies, the ones who possessed me to be a lesbian.
Right now, I’m on my bed, my head is banging, my body’s temperature is rising, I don’t want to be awake but I can’t sleep. I’m sad, I’m really sad.
Somewhere along the line, I kindof nurtured and believed the idea that if I tried harder, my birth family will see me and respect me, but yesterday’s conversation made it clear that they don’t want a lesbian in their family. they don’t, they can’t. their perfect perfect family is ruined if they accept that one of the children is a lesbian, so I’ve decided it’s time. it’s time, I’m extremely tired. it’s time. I’m done. I’m completely and utterly done. until they call for me with love, I’m not going back to that house again. I didn’t want to accept it but I have to now, I’m a lesbian woman and my birth family is utterly ashamed of me and doesn’t want me close. so, I’m done. I’m gone. it is done. I’m tired. Pictures of the politician presenting N1000 notes to some recipients said to be students of FCE, Yola, is currently making rounds on social media.
Although, it’s unclear if the paltry sum is for ‘scholarship’, reports shared online by Adamawa indigenes claim that it is.
This has generated mixed reactions online as netizens question how the meagre amount would subsidize the students’ education.

Nigerian man appreciates BBN’s Nengi for sponsoring his WAEC exam, shares result
A young man has taken to social media to appreciate BBNaija star, Nengi Rebecca Hampson, and some of her fans, for sponsoring his WAEC exam.
The man, identified as Itua Raymond Etiosa, in an emotional tweet, said the reality show star paid for his exams because he was not financially buoyant.
Itua, who seems to be a huge fan of Nengi, shared a snapshot of his WAEC result which he passed with flying colors and had 3 A’s.
He tweeted,

The reality show star took to her Instastory to share this unsaid side of relocating abroad with her fans and followers.
According to her, one needs a doctor’s prescription before they can purchase any drug at a pharmacy, regardless of how mild the sickness is.
This is unlike Nigeria where self-medication is the order of the day and one can buy drugs at a pharmacy or chemist without a doctor’s prescription.
“Being sick abroad is stressful. You need a doctor’s prescription for everything”, she wrote.

Woman reveals how a family paid back their benefactor when their daughter refused to marry him
A Twitter user has revealed how a family in Eleme, Rivers state, paid back a man who helped them financially in hopes of marrying their daughter.
The man reportedly built a house for the family of his lover and shouldered their financial responsibilities.
However, when it was time for marriage, the girl decided that she wanted to be a model and eloped to Paris, France, with a white man.
The distraught man allegedly threatened to demolish the house he built for the family, but they pleaded with him and asked him to marry his ex-lover’s younger sister instead.
The Twitter user, @MaverickThamani, who shared the story online wrote,
“A guy in Eleme built a house for his girl’s family. Carried the whole family on his shoulder. Time for marriage, she said she wants to become a model. Left him and followed one white guy to Paris. Baba said he will demolish the house. Family pleaded and gave him her younger sis”.
