New Big Brother Naija housemate, Michael, has revealed that he was advised against using his name ‘Ebuka’ as his stage name on the show.

The Enugu state born housemate, whose full name is Michael Chukwuebuka Ngene, disclosed that he had to change his from ‘Ebuka’ to ‘Michael’ before he was introduced as the new housemate.

Michael, speaking in a conversation with his fellow housemate, Kayvee, said he decided to drop the name because the show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, also bears the name and he didn’t want clash of personalities. He added that Ebuka has built a strong brand with the name so he couldn’t use it.

“I was advised not to use Ebuka as my stage name. I felt using it would have been a conflict of interest.

“When you hear BBNaija, you remember Ebuka. He has made a brand from the name, so I had to change my name to Michael at the last minute.” He said.

Kayvee on his part said he wanted to use the name ‘Koko’ but had to change because there are many ‘Koko’ in the entertainment industry.

Big Brother Naija season 6 housemate, Emmanuel’s Instagram handler has debunked viral reports alleging that the Mr Africa is married.

Photos and video of Emmanuel with a lady donned in a traditional outfit surfaced online raising speculations that the 24-year-old was married before getting into the Big Brother house.

The photos stirred reactions online with tweeps alleging dragging him for allegedly lying about his marital status.

A Twitter user wrote, “Emmanuel got married 2 years ago, We must protect Liquorose at all cost”, amongst several other comments.

Well, Emmanuel’s Instagram handler has now taken to the platform to clear the air, while explaining to his fans and followers that the photos and videos were from a shoot for a fashion brand.

The handler stated that Emmanuel can’t tie the knot without his relatives and family members being in the photos.

“This is not my wedding picture. This was a bridal shoot for @…I wouldn’t be married without my friends and family by my side. Contrary to news making rounds, I am NOT MARRIED”. The handler wrote.

Well, Kidd held a question and answer session on his Instastories recently and a fan asked him to deleted the photos because they are “disgusting and unnecessary”.

South African rapper, Kiernan Jarryd Forbes professionally known as AKA, has taken to social media to pen an emotional tribute to his fiancée, Nelli Tembe who died 4 months ago.

AKA who is yet to get over the loss, in the emotional tribute shared on his official Instagram page noted that he will never be the same person he was, but that he will do the best he can with the gift and opportunities of the life he has left.

Sharing an adorable photo of them together, he wrote,

“4 months to this day.… it never goes away. Everyday I pray for her, myself and our families. I will never be the same person I was … but I will do the best I can with the gift and opportunity of life that I still have left. BBNaija Pepper Dem winner and entrepreneur, Mercy Eke has reacted to report that she secretly tied the knot with a mystery man.

It can be recalled that the reality TV star raised speculations that she is married in November 2020 after she addressed herself as “Mrs H” in a video she shared on social media.

Few months after, an Instagram blogger alleged that Mercy has gotten married to a “very wealthy” man but they are keeping the union a secret.

In reaction to the report, a curious fan asked the Imo-state born media personality if she is truly married, in a question and answer session she held on her Instagram page recently.

“It is true you are married?” the fan asked.

Woman who left her husband of 11 years to marry their pastor finally breaks silence (video)

Tina Adeeyo, the woman who was accused of leaving her husband, Ben Bright to marry their pastor has finally broken her silence.

In a video she shared on social media Tina noted that she repeatedly suffered abuse in her 11 years of marriage to Ben. According to her, she endured because she wanted to fight for their marriage and keep their home.

Tina the new bride of Pastor Moses Adeeyo, alleged that her ex-husband never provided in the marriage and even made her borrow huge sum of money which has now been paid off by Pastor Moses.

She claimed that her ex-husband always accused her of adultery and made her take an oath that she has never and will never be unfaithful to him and she obliged.

Tina revealed she finally left his house on November 28, 2020 after an incident that broke the camels back; she alleged that he locked her in the house and held onto the key and reportedly told her that there’s no marriage between them but just a caretaker of their children.

Tina who noted that while all these happened their pastor was not in the picture, begged people to stop criticizing Pastor Moses adding that he had no hand in her leaving her ex-husband as he had claimed.

“11 years of pain, 11 years of torture, 11 years of disgrace and humiliation… As many young ladies who are desiring husband, Bright is free. I challenge you to go and marry Bright. If you’re able to live with him for 3 months, then you come back to me and shake my hand.”

“God gave me life and rescued me from the hand of a lion that want to devour me for 11 years. I ran but you guys feel I should remain there and die. If I had died, the same world will say why didn’t she run for her life?” She said in part.

Final year student dies in motor accident days after her final exams

A final year student of Delta State College of Health Technology (DELSCOTECH), identified as Victory Idjai, has died in a motor accident just days after her final exams.

It was gathered that the Dental Nursing student was killed in a fatal car crash that occurred on Sunday, August 8. However, details of the accident are still sketchy.

According to one Uche Oyem who paid tribute to the deceased on Facebook, Victory wrote her final exams last week and was awaiting her License Examination before her untimely death.

Uche Oyem wrote,

“Sad news, The entire students of Delta State college of health technology ofuoma ughelli. Sadly announce the departure of a 300level student who finished her last school exams last week waiting to write her liesence exam.

But died yesterday in an accident. Miss Victory Idjai we the dental nursing student of delscotech in pain wish your soul a perfect rest. Rest in peace. Victory idjai , your death is still a shock to me.”

Acting spokesperson of the Delta State State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident to Tribune Online on Monday, August 9.

The 34-year-old actor was announced the Head of House on Monday after emerging winner of the HOH game and chose his ‘love interest’ Maria as his deputy.

Surprisingly, in just three days of being Head of House and Maria his deputy, Pere has revealed that he regrets his decision.

Pere who made this shocking revelation in a conversation with Saga said, “I regret making Maria my assistant Head of house. She’s bringing disrespect to the office of the HOH.”

This is coming after Maria and new housemate, Queen had a brawl over Pere during a game on Tuesday night.

The beautiful screen diva shared the video of the heartwarming moment she visited her mum’s graveside to celebrate her 70th posthumous birthday.

Iyabo Ojo’s mum, Late Mrs Victioria Olubunmi Fetuga’s gra died in November 2020.

A video the mother of two shared on social media captured the moment she placed flowers on her mum’s grave, sang birthday songs and said words of prayers.

Sharing the video she wrote,

Farida Fasisi, the wife of late popular singer, Sound Sultan, has shared an emotional post on her Instagram page, in which she talked about how her world went pitch black, a month ago.

She said it still feels like a bad dream and she could not believe this is her current fate, but she also used the opportunity to thank those who have been with her in this trying time.

She begged her friends and loved ones to keep Lanre alive in their hearts by letting love lead because the singer’s life was the perfect example of love.

Only two weeks ago, a video of Rich Oganiru lying in his sick bed and begging for financial assistance was shared online.

“Please, everyone should reach out before he dies,” the caption on the post reads.

Veteran Nollywood actor, Rich Oganiru has died.

The actor who has been ill for months died on Tuesday 10th of August, 2021.

Not too long ago, there was a video of the actor lying on his sickbed, requesting for financial assistance, and it was shared on social media space.

‘Please, everyone should reach out before he dies,’ the caption on the post reads.

According to reports, the actor did not survive the illness and has passed on.

The sad news was shared on Facebook by his friends who wrote:

Ahem… I’ve lost a good friend like a brother for years, a great Nollywood actor par excellence. I’m just speechless. R.I.P Amb. Rich Oganiru. RIP Amb Rich Oganiru. Well, his sad demise reminds me of a song “Celebrate me while I am still alive”.’

Back in 2012, the Nollywood actor who starred in numerous movies was arrested for allegedly murdering his wife.

According to news reports at the time, Oganiru was arrested following a petition by the family and relatives of his late wife who claimed that she was poisoned by the actor so that he could acquire her wealth.

Oganiru maintained his innocence and said on numerous occasions that he did not kill his multimillionaire wife.

According to the Actor, that saying has led many to an early grave.

His post on Instagram reads ;

One of the biggest lies I believed all my life, and till date still see people make the same mistake, is the lie that YOU CAN BE WHATEVER YOU WANT TO BE. This sentence has led so many people to their untimely death, frustration and hopelessness.

Imagine telling a sofa you can be a fridge or a fridge you can be a bed if you believe. Before the manufacturer of the sofa even started manufacturing it, he already knew the purpose of the sofa and the problem it would solve. The manufacture finished the product in his mind even before he started.

Just like the sofa, fridge and bed every individual on earth was created for a different purpose but, the biggest problem they are faced with is HOW TO DISCOVER THEIR PURPOSE. Whenever a product is created there are usually two ways for one to know the purpose of that product (1) ask the manufacturer or (2) read the manual that comes with the product.

Leo Messi has joined the Parisians, having seen his 21-year stay at Camp Nou come to an end.

Lionel Messi agreed a two-year contract to join Paris Saint-Germain and has officially been unveiled by the French giants.

He was given the Jersey Number 30.

Christiana Everest, the mother of woman who reportedly left her husband to marry their pastor has broken silence.

Tina Adeeyo reportedly left her husband of 12 years, Ben Bright to marry popular clergy man, Pastor Moses Adeeyo.

In a video shared on social media Tina’s mother explained that her daughter’s first husband, Ben didn’t pay bride price when he married her daughter 12 years ago.

According to her, Ben did every other rite; traditional and church wedding but neglected the most important thing, her bride price.

“He gave people, both men and women, their right, but, to the parents, when they told him to come and see us, he said he will see us later. There was no bride price. That’s the main thing that makes a woman to be a wife to a man.” She said.

Speaking further, she alleged that after her daughter had their first child and she visited for Omugwo, Ben and his mother sent her out of the home, preventing her from being there for Tina who just put to bed.

Christiana stated that in Tina and Ben’s 12 years of marriage he constantly abused her, which made her daughter move back home multiple times but he always came back begging.

Evicted Big Brother Naija Housemate, Beatrice has revealed the housemate she thinks is fake and acting for the camera.

Speaking in an interview with the show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, on Monday, the 28-year-old fashion model said the current Head of Head, Pere, is projecting a false image of himself on the show.

According to her, Pere is not his real self on the reality TV show and is acting for the viewers.

“The housemate I feel is fake is Pere. There is just something fake about him. I think he is acting in the house,” she told Ebuka.
