Men of the Ogun state police command have arrested a suspected armed robber, Waheed Ijiyemi, on his way to carrying out a robbery operation.

The suspect was nabbed on Tuesday, April 19th, while the DPO of Onipanu Division, CSP Bamidele Job, was on routine patrol with his men.

It was gathered that the culprit was riding on an unregistered Bajaj motorbike when the police officers saw him. When the suspect sighted the police, he immediately got off his motorcycle and took to his heels.

He was, however, chased and apprehended.

A cut-to-size locally produced handgun with 10 live ammunition was discovered in the tiny bag he was carrying.

Confirming his arrest, the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the suspect confessed to being an armed robber and that he was on his way to carry out an operation before he was apprehended.

Meanwhile, CP Lanre Bankole, the state commissioner of police, has ordered that the suspect be immediately transferred to the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation.

In related news, a suspected thief has demonstrated how he gained entrance into a house through a very small window with protective bars.

A video shared online shows the moment the young man skillfully squeezed his whole body through a small opening between the protective burglary.

It was gathered that he was apprehended inside the house and was asked to show how he entered the house. He was then taken to the window he claimed to have passed through and was told to recreate the process.
